Clearly she was pressing him, or at the very least showing her desire to be of service to his needs. Though he doubted that such requests were to be within reason. He did not object to it, only that many leaders fell to a bewitching smile and words of cooperation. Had he been careless, he might assume that she was attempting to poison him. Perhaps that was still a possibility. Though he would consider that an alliance could hardly be fully realized if he were dead upon their first meeting. Not to mention that it would be unlikely for the woman to leave this chamber had she even made the attempt.

But the woman was quite cunning, enough so that he'd admire her from his desk briefly, yet rise up as he then made his way over to a chest that lingered close by.

"I see no reason why we can't....though you may find myself to be poor company..."


Reaching towards the glasses, he pulled out a tan colored bottle and then proceeded to pour the liquid into their proper containers.

"My assistant is much more personable...."


Making his way towards her, he held his calm demeanor as he extended the cup towards her.

"This was a by product from a trader coming from the west...While it is lacking in content, it does provide what is required. Perhaps in the future it will be much more abundant..."

Takara didn't have any poison on her, it wasn't her shinobi way, it never had and never would be. Honesty was her crutch and destruction was her word. A golden tongue made up for a lacking appreciation to wealth, but she had wealth in heart and home. A home she felt safer and more likely to prosper now, she had made sure in this visit her allies were still just that. Now she could only pray for the future ahead of them, as well as toast to the moment things could be good. "You're an amazing host to me Ryu, please don't humble yourself so..." She'd refer to the thought of this man's assistant being more personable. It took a lot to lead a village and more to route a long standing leader, to which both tasks this man had accomplished. He'd extend her a glass of booze and she'd take it with confidence and a humble smile to befit the man before her. She'd however before they drank raise her glass as a means to give the situation a good cheer. "Too a rich and prosperous future!" She'd keep her glass raised waiting to bat drinks with her drinking partner. She'd upon the class pull her drink back and waste no time in drinking the liquor. She was too experienced for any percentile or taste to throw off her cool, as well as too competitive to not finish her drink when her might. There wasn't a situation she didn't think she could hold her own in, so a simple display of that would hopefully leave the right impression. Takara didn't aim just to share words and make a trade arrangement, she'd come to also display her and thus her villages willingness to aid. There was something quite appealing about Takara, perhaps in her way with trying to read him out with simple words of praise, or maybe it was how she could so subtly display dominance in a room that was meant to be his own domain of confidence. Of course, he was more than playing coy as well. It was part of the interesting game of politics. Though he was more fierce on the battle field, he had more than shown that he could work on such a field with a den of vipers at every turn. Though as he raised his glass and clashed it against hers, he soon partook within the toast, drinking the contents within as he set it down upon his desk.

"A prosperous future....I would say that such your wish is on the right course....though I am curious...to what you intend to do to those that would hamper your progress?"


Crossing his arms over his chest, Ryu eyed the female calmly, his gaze taking advantage of his position as he glanced her over. Her supple figure more than enough to give any other man pause.

"Change can be taken in many forms and often with its share of difficulties...While I have seen you're approach with the rebellions...but how will do you within the game of politics...Lady Tsuchikage...? Will you compromise?"

Takara was pleased to see her host share the full drink, it was to her eyes a sign of trust. A man like Ryu probably could drink with little effect, but often silver tongues kept from dry liquids. Booze was often the truth serum for strangers, but as an honest person Takara didn't fear the handicap. She wasn't a particular light weight by any means, but the effects nonetheless could concern her. Relaxed by the shared cheer and general attitude she'd left in her last words, Takara would silently sit and absorb the words of her host. He'd question her now that they had a more personable moment, he wondered how she'd react to those interfering with her progress. To that she'd have to think carefully, as he was asking for a key detail of her leadership. Her ability to tackle diversity, she could sum it up on connections, but she felt it was better to speak strongly on her actions. To rely on others would be weak minded and she lead a still strong village. Even if they'd fought the most the most recently, it still meant a grade of battle readiness. Iwagakure shinobi could only be sick of war for so long. There's was potentially many situations though where her progress could be hampered, it was hard to say there was a correct single manner to handle all issues. She needed to device away to state so, but in her momentary thought she'd give him time to state more. Her stare was almost through the man, as she'd quietly note his glances. Her focus however was much more upon his words, she didn't have the same ambitions of his age and younger. She didn't seek others for comfort and thus didn't think much of others feature, but Ryu was a handsome devil; so pride would be had. "I think such questions require another drink to answer." Takara would exhale as she'd hold up her glass, attempting to make the moment less serious. There weren't exactly right answers to the questions, but with that in mind she felt it best to not take the questions to seriously. A little light humor to keep Ryu's favor regardless her answer. "Hmm... I'll handle them decisively with appropriate actions. As for politics I'll compromise for the right conditions, but only those that fully benefit my country and allies. I believe in my village and those I extend my trust, so unlike my predecessor I will never commit treason." Ryu // BOINK OF GS

As if to gain a moment to collect her thoughts, the request for another drink did not go unanswered. It wasn't uncommon for people to require substance to better enable themselves. It wouldn't have even been the first time he found himself playing host and obliging in such sentiment. While he reached behind him to retrieve the contents of their supposed celebration, the village leader continued to hold his gaze upon her, eyes narrowed as he awaited for her response. His movements were slow, yet they held no hostility. He simply wished to read her thoughts on the matter, as any leader would with an expected ally.

Though not a test to show the loyalty of Iwagakure, but to the woman herself...

Her efforts had more than placed her in a position of power and influence. To a point where the people who stood behind her had little choice but to follow her. They could very well start another rebellion, but he found that he had taken a liking to the strong female. Of course, that didn't mean that he'd accept her weakness as an excuse. If she wished to make a change, it took more than words and alliances. It took having the will to see it through. To be capable of standing your ground against those that would disapprove, and to burn through them and proceed onward.

Upon filling her glass, her response was made and it was...satisfactory....It had a strong balance, more so than his own. It showed that she'd continue to view the needs of her village first, and would act in a way that was..appropriate to the situation at hand. It was more than most would do, and from the actions of the village's passed leadership.


"Well said....I will be interested in seeing how you hold true to such an ideal..."


Refilling his own cup, Ryu calmly spoke as he continued to hold his gaze upon the female in his office.


"We both have seen leaderships fall through lack of resolve and weakness before those that had little support in them. The strength of one's nation is decided upon that of it's leader and without such resolve, they burn the strong foundations in which their people are founded upon..."

Takara crossed her arms under her chest and closed her eyes, as she'd take a thoughtful expression listening to the man's words. She didn't know how well her words would go over, but his initial response gave her confidence in her response. She felt she'd gotten pretty fluent with her words, she often looked to them for strength when ninjutsu only caused one solution. Destroying everything after all left you with nothing, to Ryu it was likely power that trumped all else. Her bloodline gave her undeniable power and a very war tactical power, but she'd heard stories of sages and the dragon one sounded tough. However his words would go on and not give her an impression he believed in only raw power. Resolve. It was spoken twice and it was the word she took as most important. She'd take another swig of her drink as he'd let the man finishing speaking. There was in fact a strength in resolve as well as good decision making skills. She still felt the civil war was a waste of lives, resources and time. There'd been no victor, it was only in the election she felt the village had a chance. She'd give the man a nod at the end of his words, then take one more drink as to truly give herself the second to decide the right words. "Hmph." She'd giggle a touch to herself, then with a playful glance reply to the man. "Luckily a stone foundation doesn't burn." A joke to speak both of the strength of her platform, but also a clear reference to her nationality. She was someone who believed in more than herself, she didn't need to be the winner of every fight. Instead she'd pick and choose her battles, to help an ally was to gain their aid else where often. Takara's strength was more than ninjutsu, she also had the growing will of the people behind her. A single shinobi could try to destroy the world, but likely find failure in controlling them all. "I hope I get to show you the power of my resolve, as well as the many other strengths granted by the will of my people." Takara had faith in her country as a whole, but this didn't change her plan to use it as power. She'd do the best for her and her people, she'd just do it with them and not over them. Smiles were rare from the Taki lord, yet the woman had managed to gain one from the male that was somewhat her younger. In the end, he took another swig from the cup, his eyes still lingering upon her as he continued to hold his gaze upon her.

"Careful Lady Kage....you continue to impress me and I may not be able to let you return home so quickly..."

With a smirk on his lips, the man would then place the cup down, returning to his desk as he looked towards her with a calm expression. Though impressed, he would continued to hold his demeanor of control. She was in his office after all. Although, he did see a possibility of such locations changing. But, he was anything, if not an attempting host. They both had shown great strength and faith in one another and this alliance. How it proved to benefit the other was still in the progression period. Time would tell just where things would go. But, if he was to say he wasn't somewhat optimistic, it would a lie that she'd clearly pick up on. Despite their moments of small talk, it was clear that each was reading the intentions of the other, seeing just where they both stood. If anything else, he was a master of finding small details.

"Though if that is all you wish of me, I believe that our meeting can be adjourned for the time being...I do hope your return to Iwagakure is well..."

Nodding his head, he could see that the bodies of her guard were already posted outside the door, clearly preparing to escort their newly-founded leader back into the road.

"But of course, I do offer you lodging within the mansion....until the time in which you see it acceptable to leave...I would never force you to leave after us becoming so close..."

Takara couldn't help snickering in delight, as he'd compliment and jokingly threaten her with capture. He'd not let her return home so quickly? She'd in away like to see him try as many others had and failed. It was hard to contain one of the blast corps ninjutsu. He also though might of been showing off his infamous flirting skills. It was cute to be romanticized, but she was a little old for it to work well on her. It was easy for her to keep professional, as she'd swig down the rest of her drink. Starring into the crystal of the glass in hand, her host on the other side as if caught on camera. The Tsuchikage could see how any woman could fall for a man of his appearance and confidence. He was a king in nature and supposedly the same in battle. She was glad to of impressed him thus far, but she had yet to truly see him in action. "I can't say I want to leave you're a generous and handsome host." Takara would state with a grin, as she'd spin her glass upside and cap it on a coaster. A sign she'd be having no more drinks, everything needed to be covered had been. They'd surely talk again and with more to talk about. Standing up and straightening her back she'd look down to Ryu a confident grin. "But I'd like the next time to impress you be on the battlefield." Her country wasn't going to war, she'd stated it likely couldn't, so what battlefield could she be referring too? A gentle hint she wanted her allies to flex what they'd built upon. Amegakure and Takigakure were two of the most prosperous villages presently. Iwagakure didn't have a full fighting front, but it had hands down thee most experienced soldiers. Granted Takara had plans to build her country up without Taki or Ame, but if they put forth their fortune, then with her countries resources she could bring back her nation. Takara being a voted leader and not chosen by elders and past kage's made her position questionable. She was likely at an age were some no longer trusted her ninjutsu, so the chance to prove otherwise was exciting just to put out there. Ryu was no coward and his shinobi were well trained. "I have much more still to attend too, I thank you for your hospitality and am excited to see what our future will hold." Takara would state with a wink, then a deep bow as if to hint to the man she wasn't disinterested. Maybe one day someone would impress her enough or successfully seduce her into a relationship beyond friends. Saddling her clay dragon again Takara would fly off into the horizon. The departure of the Tsuchikage had not been much of a surprise to the Taki lord, though he acknowledged her leave and watched as she seemed to fade into the horizon. The smile that seemed to have been nestled upon his face faded soon after, his frame turning back towards his own desk as he took forth his glass and finished the remains. As he looked on towards a map of the Five Great Shinobi nation, he would allow his vision to remain centered upon Iwagakure, yet soon shifting towards the others.

Alliances were required in order to survive. He may not have enjoyed relaying on others for strength, he was not a fool to think that Takigakure could survive without them. They required resources and the relationship with Iwagakure was a start. Perhaps even a beginning. Time would tell if things would remain as such. He had some small hope, but he knew such a concept was fleeting. There was only the success in what was made by one's own hand.

Taking a seat back down, he would close his eyes and release a breath before allowing himself to return to work. He was not done with his day just yet, only half way in fact. But he was content. His work kept him busy and it did allow his thoughts to linger. Perhaps on the small hint of pride in knowing that he may have found himself...something new to peek his interests for a time.
