Well whether it was Issei's problem what they were taught or not remained to be seen, the exams had yet to start. But Toru couldn't help but note the tone, the use of words. He was properly educated, it seemed, far beyond that of what Kirigakure could afford even within clans most of the time. It was the type of speech that Toru despised, as it represented the wealthy. It fueled his anger, yet he still did not say anything or express anything, he just stood there staring at the other two. Normally, Toru would have left the situation as it was a bit of energy waste. But he couldn't leave a village comrade, it would have shown a distinct amount of lack in solidarity, and even Toru as tactless as he was, knew this. He stood to represent the Mizukage, the Kaguya, the village, his new mother - although he had not yet managed to start calling her that - and a part of that was to show village solidarity, even though currently it was just silence unless things turned really bad.
"Hey bitch...”
An internalized groan, what could possibly make all of this worse? He was hungry. Not that he could not fight off hunger, it was something he grew up with naturally, so his hunger now and desire to fix it was nothing but petulance.
The girl drew her sword, a part of him wanted to laugh but that wasn't something that he really did. So he didn't. Drawing a sword though, prior to the exams didn't seem like the smartest move regardless of what the girl had for her beliefs. Toru believed that the rich should all be pummeled to death, yet he somehow managed to restrain himself on a daily basis. It wasn't productive. But now she was threatening them, had she even been there for the entire conversation to be drawing her blade? He was certain that he had not seen her, for all she knew Okohime was resting her hand on her blade out of pure comfort.
He didn't like being called player two, but he had been called names before and was able to restrain himself from saying anything overly rash. Toru wondered what he should or should not say... What would Minako say? Would she say anything or take action if this situation were to occur? The girl was being quite antagonizing, after all, the blade out on neutralized territory would have been a declaration of war anywhere else...
Was Toru to be the diplomat? That seemed entirely absurd as he was usually the antagonistic one. What would Minako say? He searched his mind. It was not that he was not angry, he was plenty of that and the girl had stepped on the wrong toes - as far as he was concerned. He had no opinion of Issei to this point, he seemed generally neutral by comparison if not just a pompous prick.
But pompous prick Toru could withstand. He dealt with those in his home village, it was nothing to start a fight over.
His mind continued to fly through the options of reactions he believed his mother would have. Mother, not Minako... It was still hard to think of her as such.
Ultimately, she would no doubt neutralize the situation, she was the Mizukage... War was not in her best interests, not always anyway. Toru decided to put a hand out in front of Okohime, to prevent her from acting on the sword that Kazui had drawn. This was a waste of their breath, time, and overall energy.
"We weren't even thinking about it," He murmured glancing between the two, his gaze stopping on Issei. He didn't say anything, but he hoped that his planted gaze spoke enough, the confrontation had occurred almost entirely because Issei had run into Toru, and while Toru had called him stupid, he would have said the same for anyone else. Granted, Issei didn't know this but it did show his character the kind of response that he had.
"We'll see you at the exams," He added, unknown whether he was goading the other two to attack them, if it was a veiled threat, or if it was just that - a fact being stated. Looking over at Okohime and he would nudge at her to join him in a collective retreat. They could go to eat together, in silence.
"No point in this, come on, I was just going to grab food."
