Five books sat in a semi circle with notebooks and notepads by their side. The wind came in peace that day allowing the pages to rest for as long as needed. At the center of this semi circle sat a green haired genin, back pressed against the wall that shielded him from the sun at this point in the day. It also happened to be one of the walls that provided the border for the Uchiha compound within Konohagakure. His attention seemed to glide from book to notebook and back to a different set. The boy had found his flow state in studying. Asahi paid no attention to those who passed by, golden eyes not glancing up from his grassy, dirt desk for a moment. There was a book on general anatomy, opened to a portion detailing the eyes; a book on the chakra network and pathways within the body; a book on kekkai genkai, a book on dojutsu, and a book on the Uchiha clan. The village library was quite the blessing. Many who passed by simply did just that, but there were a few who stopped to stare at the boy. He paid it no mind, still deep in his work. The spot he had picked to do this was not an impulse decision. His studies in anatomy had reached the head and brain and with this came things like dojutsu. Being in a village with one of the most famous dojutsu in the shinobi world presented a unique opportunity. However, the boy didn’t simply stroll into the compound unannounced. He had heard rumors of the clan being pretty closed off when it came to outsiders and things like that. Simply being close to compound, back against it’s walls was close enough. He put his pen down and reached into the backpack at his side to pull out a sandwich, and with that same fever that he had been writing with, took a large bite. The hunger in his belly that made the boy take the necessary yet brief break, was nothing compared to the hunger for the pages in front of him.

It was pretty nice to get that breath of fresh air. Yeah, a simple walk around the compound would have done the trick; but, nothing beats the air provided by nature outside the village. He understood, on some level, why Sada chose to be out and about to the degree she usually is. There's still an aura of mystery surrounding the girl. But that wasn't the reason why he was walking outside, nor was his infatuation with Miho and the mess of her being married to Kazuto yet he still feels that unjustly bond. No, he was out worrying about Kazui, how she apparently attacked and mutilated a Genin before taking off, for what reason, Yin could not even pretend to guess, alas, he was easily the most disconnected from her; hell, he may have been a factor to why she left. He knows those closest to her, well, who were close to her are feeling a great deal of distraught, more than the Uchiha himself. Yin didn't really quite understand anything, it happened like a blur to him, one minute, they were out eating teaks, congratulations about the exams, now for all he knows, they have to find and kill her. The Uchiha took his hand and rubbed his temples, Another bad egg to ruin the clan's name. The Chūnin re-entered the village, scanning the area around him, pulling his white scarf closer. Everything seemed so... so blue, yet, he could only feel cold to it. Truth be told, he didn't care, he worried of the moment but he didn't care about the ac. That indifference remains as one of the many reminders he is different from the rest of the clan. All the while in his head, he was still able to look up from his thoughts and see a boy oddly sitting in some ritual of books with himself of course at the center. "Uh... Um..." The man wanted to say something to the kid with odd hair, like drunken mistake odd. But, the Uchiha just tried to walk pass the boy before autonomically grabbed food out of his bag. "Okay.Yeah, you. Name, rank, and what are you doing?" The Uchiha finally said, pointing at the headband around the boy's neck to remind him he has no reason to beat around the bush.

The seizure robbed more than just Yin's former combat abilities, it also robbed him of his Sharingan, leaving only his ability to reawaken it with work unbeknownst to him.

Being of Uchiha descent, Yin is able to control his chakra enough to use the minimum requirements of jutsus or able to strengthen certain attacks and jutsus by supplying more than the required amount of chakra. Ever under pressure, Yin can maintain a certain degree of control.

Having been promoted to Anbu, Yin underwent intensive training in the art of Silent Killing in order to be successful in his missions. Yin shows much promise in this trade like many of his Uchiha kin. He earned the nickname "Prince of Darkness" due to his assassination techniques that seemingly come from pure darkness (Despite of his Sharingan). Because of this, he moves as soft as a ghost, capable of taking multiple targets out without making a noise. Despite his great skill, he's human, which leaves room for error. (However, he has been capable of eliminating witnesses prior to being noticed.)

The bite of his sandwich wasn’t the only thing that broke Asahi from the spell he was under. With the sandwich still in his mouth he blinked, taken back for a moment. This person addressed him with such authority, and the point at the headband said enough without a call for his rank. Obviously a higher ranking shinobi than he was. The robe the man wore answered the other obvious question flashing through the green haired boy’s mind. A higher ranking Uchiha was the one addressing him in such a manner. But why? He hadn’t done anything wrong had he? He certainly hoped not. Making trouble with the Uchiha outside of the wall of their compound didn’t sound like a smart move in the boys eyes, let alone the rank difference. This wasn't the first time he had been called out like that since he became a genin, so the boy was kind of used to it. Although the other times he had been causing a bit of a scene with his less than completed, and a lot of the time, less than functioning properly inventions...usually set up outside his apartment complex...Which is why this time it caught him off guard. This time he had been quiet, not disturbing anybody, right? "Asahi Oorigami. Genin. And isn’t it obvio-" Asahi muffled through a stuffed mouth and stopped himself to swallow. He stood up from his ritual circle of books, wiping himself off and standing at a form of attention. Then he repeated, "Asahi Oorigami. Genin. Studying anatomy, the chakra network, kekkei genkai, doujutsu, and your clan, since all the subjects intersect. Thought here would be the best spot to do so, especially the book on the history of your clan. Have I done something wrong?” The boy addressed the command with respect for the man’s used authority with a mouthful. His golden eyes looked up at the higher ranked man for a response with respect and a little bit of admiration, or intrigue rather, sprinkled in.

[Uchiha Yin]

The Uchiha just plainly stared at the boy, trying his best to hold an expressionless face, he didn't want... whoever this was to freak out, frankly he hated dealing with people who freaked out. Whether or not this was going to be one of those moments was dependant how his person reacted. But, for the most part, it didn't seem like that. Yin pulled his arms back, crossing them as he waited for the mal to answer. He wasn't mad, but he was irritated with people acting out the status quo, an annoyance that no one forced, it was something carried over from the current predicament he found himself in. This Asahi, a Genin, tried to point out that things were obvious, but cold eyes found the boy redacting and correcting himself. He went on to explain he was studying, practically fanboying over the clan and their ocular prowess. Yin lowered to a crouch when the boy had asked if he did something wrong. "No, you're fine, kid. I just found it really odd you were sitting out here with your web of books, munching on a sandwich. What I don't get is was it really necessary to come up to the compound wall? Isn't there a library, I just want to understand why you are here and not there?" This was a rather strange circumstance, but it was definitely one that needed more understanding. The Uchiha was still trying to decide whether to send the boy away, invite him in, or just leave him to his own devices. Quite frankly, right now, Yin didn't care and would take the flak if it came to him. Yet, any decision hinged on the kid's answer.

Asahi lowered from his stand at attention to a crouch of his own once the Uchiha did. The boy visibly relaxed a bit at the young man telling him he was fine. The man's following questions made the boy pause and cock his head slightly to the side. Was it that odd? In his head he wanted to lead with, 'Isn't it obvious' again, but he knew better. The green haired boy searched for his words before responding. "Necessary? No. But if one wants to truly know a thing or place, say a different country for example, simply reading about it only gets you so far. And not nearly as far as going there yourself and immersing yourself in the culture. Medical jutsu are another good example. Sure reading about it helps, but until you really get hands on, you'll only get so far." he started, echoing the words of his mother and paused. His eyes traced over his book web, to the compound wall, and back to the man. "Something like that I suppose, but I couldn't just walk in. I don't know too much about how your clan operates, but I figured that wasn't really acceptable, or at least may come off as disrespectful. And I have too much reverence for the things I choose to study to do that. So, I settled with sitting close by, while I learned a small taste about who are inside those compound walls, taking in the energy of this place that way." The way the boy explained it started logical enough, but seemed to trail off into a more spiritual outlook on the process of learning itself. The boy had a thirst for knowledge, and had fallen in love with learning, from a young age. He was a product of his parents, and an interest in the fascinating world around him. And the Uchiha clan were definitely fascinating, with their mystery only aiding in that fascination to the boy. Mystery meant the unknown, and the unknown had the potential to be known. "Although there is a library over there, this place and it's people are a library of it's own kind, just like Konoha is, and Hi No Kuni, and the world," the genin continued, before he realized he was kind of going on a tangent with his response. "Sorry, that was a lot. Long story short, I'm an aspiring combat medic. And I find kekkei genkai and how it relates back to the medical field fascinating, especially Dōjutsu. But as you can see, I'm only on intro level stuff right now." the genin said to wrap it up. Asahi's golden eyes met the Uchiha man's with the respect given to a higher ranked shinobi, but also seemed to search for approval of the words he delivered.

There was a noticeable hesitation and confusion of the boy as he was questioned. Yin didn't really care what was going through the kid's mind, he just needed answers. And soon, that was just what he got. the first two words were enough grounds to just give him the boot, but Yin wanted to understand, thus he continued listening.The boy stated examples that Yin had to give a point to. Reading was one thing but experiencing was another. This boy definitely was very ambitious coming up here, most Uchiha were to say pretty secretive on clan matters, should someone else have noticed him, he would have immediately been banished. He let the boy continue on and on. The Uchiha tapped his nose, in all honesty, he just didn't know what to say at the moment. When he was finished with a simple statement about taking in the energy of the place. A statement that dug a question in the man's mind whether this kid mistook medical pills for candy. He refrained from asking though, rather, he allowed for the silent pause prior to him starting up again, giving him a shorter rundown and answer to the library portion. Yin slowly nodded as he connected the dots he needed to make a decision. "Gather your belongings, stay close as I am now taking you as a guest but do to wander, even under me, you are still subject to clan deciding." Yin spoke as he stood up, waiting for the boy to do what he is told. After granting the boy time, he motioned him to follow. "What do you want to know?" The man stated, walking into the compound with the boy.

The Uchiha man's words took a moment to hit Asahi. After a shocked blink, the boy nodded with a short, "Yes sir. I understand." Asahi had considered being allowed in a possibility, but not a probable one, so he was shocked that this man was allowing him entrance. Especially with the way the man had come off at first, but here he was, following the man to the other side of the walls he had started off sitting against. Then the man asked him what he wanted to know... Asahi had no idea how to answer that question! He couldn't simply say everything, even if that were the truth. There was so much mystery behind the Uchiha, so many rumors and tales, let alone the stories about their eyes. The genin said nothing at first, attention going from individuals and buildings that they passed. It almost felt like another world. He tried not to stare too much, or seem too lost, but that was easier said than done. Then the genin finally gave the man an answer. "Well, regarding what I was studying, it seems that the Sharingan's activation is deeply tied to emotion, which makes sense. Emotion and biology are intertwined, and that isn't unique to your clan, or mine...Honestly, most of the questions I have are probably more personal than general about the clan, since the general stuff is pretty available, as far as I know..." the boy trailed off before finally getting to his question. "Does everyone here have the ability, or potential, to awaken your clan's Dojutsu? Are there any steps commonly taken to do so?" he proposed two questions, while finishing with a third. "And I guess this is more general, but what is day to day life like for a person my age in the clan?" Asahi's last question looking to get more of an understanding of the younger Uchiha clan members he had met as a genin so far.
