Mission Rank: C NPC Required: No. Random Mission Scenario: Disabled Participants: Hyūga Shigure and Wahei   Description: After the happenings of Bonds we can't see, Bonds we can feel! (RP), Shigure and Wahei was busted into Kazuhira's secret lab in the scientific's department in Konoha because of Wahei's psychologic condition - he went nutz, basically. They had found a letter signed by Hyuga Natsuo where the jonin revealed information related to Doc. Kazuhira and his past together including the fact that he had leaved his pair of eyes (byakugan's) to her in case something happen to him - which could formally be considered a last will. Basically, Natsuo entrusted his eyes to Kazuhira because he thought this way he wouldn't only be an eternal part of her but also would be an way of helping her on achieving her dream of making a definitive process in the shinobi world through the Iryo-Nindo. Of course they hide that part and justify their act as a secret research for proof of their relationship - which would've been a scandal in the Hyuga clan. The boys attempt called the attention of Yoshida Shinsuke, a former comrade of Doc. Kazuhira and also an influent blackops captain of the ANBU, whom happened to be the leader of the countermeasure squad who took over the lab Wahei was found back then. Shinsuke was also the one who helped Kazuhira not only to get a green light on bringing and adopting Wahei but also granting him the opportunity of learning the true shinobi way to become one, including get  taught on how to became a medic ninja by Kazuhira herself in a heavy hard and intensive training. By pulling the right strings, Shinsuke would cover up for the boys by sending them to investigate rumors on the outskirts of a specific area far far away that used to be an old strategic spot for the village. Albeit it was unusual to send two genins alone for such task, it was exceptionally accepted as punishment for going around breaking the protocol. They were suppose to valuate the area, identify the status and condition of the abandoned facility, clean it all retrieving any piece of relevant evidence or info to the village and, of course, avoid engaging in any unnecessary fight. They had orders to fall back at the first sign of suspicious ninja activity in the area. A large and very specific report was expected from them as soon as they get back. Aware of the in-betweens of that "strategic spot", both genins smoothly got excited and willingly "accepted" - as if they had the choice - the mission and, of course, the terms and conditions imposed by Shinsuke. Now they'd have to prepare to leave the Village as soon as possible to start this task.

I think this has some interesting potential and setup, but I have a few questions/would like some clarification on some things: 

Can you give me a rough idea of what area they will be travelling to for this? "A specific area" isn't particularly descriptive - here is a link to the Hi no Kuni info.

Genin are allowed outside the village, but how far they're allowed to travel alone on a mission without an adult accompanying them is probably up to question, so try to pick somewhere nearby. 

I'd further ask - why was this "strategic spot" abandoned? And what kind of activity has been seen in the area that made Shinsuke decide to send them there? Is there any combat/danger actively anticipated?

Hi there and beforehand thanks for your review.

Well, this is the lab where Kazuhira found Wahei but I've never described details about it (as location, for instance).I'd suggest something between "+7" and X²² or either "X24" to "X25" (North-west or east, considering respectively Tsuchigakure and Kumogakure and minor countries borders).

If for these suggested location would be mandatory having another ninja, we could use a NPC. No problem if that's ok. Shinsuke could send one of his minions. But should we have to use another player, then I'll have to check it with Ren or even reconsider moving the location to somewhere closer when genins would be allowed to travel.

The reason why the place have been abandoned is one of the plots of the mission. It was a secret lab used by some unknown underground scientist whom has created Wahei and killed him/her self during the process. Konoha blackops' took over the place (Shinsuke lead the operation alongwith Kazuhira) and started to study what was happening there and basically take the oportunity to collect the joys of the researches made by the unknown scientist.

Some point after Wahei was adopted, Konoha lost interest of the lab since all the joys have been collected so they decide to leave the place. Kazuhira though used the place to conduct her personal researches secretly under Shinsuke's supervision and with Hyuga Natsuo assistance. After awhile though, both Kazuhira and Natsuo happened to passed away.

As no one would be both trusted and up to continue the research, Shinsuke decided to shut it down until the right time comes. Wahei's incident with Shigure was the sign Shinsuke needed to let the boys find out on theiown about their relatives black secrets. He used his influence as leverage to keep them in the right track and this mission would be a scapegoat punishment.

Shinsuke is a former teammate of Kazuhira that always trained not only physical and mental skills but also worked hard on underground politics to climb up the ANBU (blackops) ladder. He'd probably be a good Shimura though.

Real combat or danger are not really expected. At top they boys could find bigger wild animals or thieves on the outskirts, but certainly is not expect for them to engage in combat with other ninjas (as any other C rank). The plot twist is finding Natsuo eyes which were given from him to Kazuhira so she could finishing develop her research.

The eyes will somehow be implemented in Wahei afterwards (in another specific thread) who will step up for her mother's legacy and dreams.

I think this explanation is alright... For outside the nation you definitely want to at least have an NPC you're in control of. I'd check and get Jian's ooc permission to make sure that as Hokage he is alright with this, but once you have that I should be able to clear it.
