To say it was like whiplash was an understatement. The conversation that he'd thought was going well turned sour in a flash, and the confusion from the lashing out was heavily apparent on the boys face. That she'd gone from smiling and what had seemed like a compliment to yelling at him, he didn't know how to really handle the situation.
Hh-What? Stammered confusion was all that really managed to escape his lips, the shining eyes and a form filled with power was now shirking away as the girl let out more frustration, first in a language he understood, and then in one he didn't. About how she had had had that fight under control, how he'd simply interfered, and the green haired boy offered no defense at these claims. Instead he simply continued looking somewhat taken-aback, on the backfoot and remaining quiet.
He didn't really know what to say, it wasn't the first time he'd been yelled at, he could be oblivious in his statements occasionally and hurt feelings. But this was different, he wasn't even really certain what he would be apologizing for if he tried. Yet he also wasn't feeling much better as she seemed to calm down and admitted she was grateful. Though he did finally take a breath at last, the first one it felt like since Ayukawa had started yelling at him, and he gently clapped his hands together. The energy stored would release, and he'd be back to normal, his darker green pupil-filled eyes meeting hers, only for them to dart away to the ground as his paler face blushed now. He didn't get embarrassed much, but he couldn't say getting yelled at was one of his favorite things. And so his reply was an embarrassed silence, not wanting to set her off again if he answered wrong. And so she left, with her fellow Suna ninja running to catch up to her.
I thought I was helping... An answer finally given to silence.
Thankfully the next few days on the boat would be calmer, and the vast ocean still hadn't lost its wonder on the sheltered boy, and he wasn't the only one encaptured by such a new scenery. This combined with his routines meant he would mostly be out of people's way unless they were specifically looking for him. At least until the last day on the water before landing, when the ship would find itself with a fifth member, someone who at first glance looked a child and had a personality to match. The only difference was that this child was green, had claws for hands, and was a mantis. Yuushi had the grand idea that the precocious mantis would be just as amazed as he was by the sight before him, something so unlike their native home. He didn't take into account that having a child, bug or not, on a busy boat was going about as well as one could expect.
The final day would probably be the second most stressful for the sailors after the attacks as they found themselves besieged once again, but this time by the small, mantid child.
Hey, whatchu doing?? What does that do? What's your job here, how big is the water here? If you were to jump in what would happen? Oh, what's this do?? The young man's attempt to share such a wondrous view was backfiring considerably with his choice of summon, having chosen the most immature one possible. Thankfully she wouldn't be more than a small nuisance and not actively sabotaging their trip, so she wouldn't be thrown overboard.
This also meant that Yuushi would be very hard to find on the last day at sea as he was trying to do 100 things at once, collect his things, keep an eye on the small mantis, try not to get yelled at again on the same trip in the same week. And when he was finally on top deck for departure he was dragging his feet, both from reluctance and exhaustion, but he had his things and his young ward. Zakku would be much less hesitant, as the blue haired man rushed past and straight into the ocean just as the two arrived.
Oh! Did you wanna go for a swim? I've never swam in the ocean before, is it different? I bet it's different, though the sailors said I shouldn't cause of sharks. Are you not afraid of those? Did one bite you is that why you swore? Koishi says swearing is bad, did you know that? What's your name, mine is- Basagiri! Yuushi called out to the young mantis, though he wasn't being a good example as he had to try and hide his face from the laugh he'd let out when Zakku slipped. He then gently pulled the young mantis from the man overboard.
Sorry...She's...Excitable.. Then he looked around, he was finally home. Technically speaking at least. Though as he looked around, it didn't feel anything like that. And thus began a new adventure.

Jutsu Used:NAME: Kuchiyose no Jutsu [Summoning Technique]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low (D Rank Summon: Low)
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [General]
ELEMENT: None
HANDSEALS: 5
DESCRIPTION:
One of the most common and beneficial techniques in the known shinobi world. Simply drawing blood and releasing a mass of chakra from one's extended hand is capable of calling an animal or otherwise to one's location. As a Space-Time Ninjutsu, this technique is capable of instantly displacing an intended summon from wherever they may be to the requested location, though there are obstacles that can prevent this. To use this jutsu, one must first make a contract with whatever they are summoning, living creature or not. Both the size and the stamina of what a shinobi calls upon increases the demand of chakra they must spend to perform the jutsu.
