Yuushi almost considered cutting that stupid cigarette in the Zakku's mouth in two. The smoke had seemed so much easier to ignore during battle, the adrenaline had made it so easy to ignore. But now, during such a precise operation, it was once again choking him. He didn't respond to Ayukawas encouragement, as he literally held his breath, the only sounds the audible chewing of Basagiri feasting until Kisuke was freed from his cocoon. Then the green haired young man could finally breath easy, or maybe not as he went into another coughing fit now that coughing wouldn't end with him bisecting someone. Thankfully everything was over at least, so his coughing would only be a momentary distraction before they'd be able to head back. And the older teens mood would improve when they returned, and he saw the young teens fathers reaction. He could take comfort in knowing that they'd definitely done the right thing, even if the caravan might arrive a little late.
And after a day of smooth travels and rest, Yuushi would once again be in good spirits, sitting on the caravan as preperations were made, and watching as the tanned girl began showing off her mantis style to the very excited Basagiri, just as the teen boy had suggested. Though this wasn't quite how he'd imagined it. You know, when I suggested that you should demonstrate your mantis style to the mantises...I was imagining doing it in front of bigger crowd. And his remarks would be met by the tiny mantis participant turning on him with a fury. SHUSH! You're not even a part of this! You don't use the mantis style to fight! And the young man would raise his hands in surrender, the mantis sage officially uninvited from the mantis style demonstration.
He then turn to see what his other companions were doing, and he'd see Zakku rolling another blunt. And suddenly he'd feel his heart rate and stress levels start rising, breathing heavier until it was simply put away instead of lit up. He hadn't realized that, just how much the smoking had bothering him to the point that seeing a blunt triggered him. So he'd turn back to the demonstration, putting the blunts out of his mind, hopefully for the remainder of their journey.
YOU FOUGHT A LION?? You're so cool! The young mantis was very enthralled by the demonstration and emphasizing different parts of the style with story, it was a very effective way to keep the young mantids attention. Until Ayukawa herself became distracted by the appearance of a familiar, and slightly more roughed up face. The tanned girl looked to Yuushi for approval, his spiky hair shaking about as he nodded his head to give her the go ahead to approach the boy. And he was smiling proudly as both of them apologized, and how they were happy for each other's well being, and Ayukawa showing impressive introspection. This was exactly the type of comraderie he imagined when thinking of teamwork, even if the young boy wasn't technically a part of their team, they were still in this together. Though as the black haired girl offered to be hit in return, he felt maybe they were going a bit too far into making amends.
Uhhhh... The green eyed teen started interjecting to discourage the idea of evening things out with fists, until a head of blue hair stepped in for him. But instead of relieving the tension, Zakku simply offered to do the hitting instead. Uhhhhhhh.... Yuushi's audible hesitation only grew louder now, and he slowly reached for a scythe. And he wouldn't be the only one to dislike that development.
HEY! That's not fair! You can't step in for him! You hit way harder! Basagiri stepped up, angry at the betrayal of the Suna Nin to his own countryman and friend, and the small mantis tried to get between him and her new best friend. Thankfully though it wouldn't be necessary when Zakku instead turned on the still recovering teen, poking him and causing the teen to cry out with each poke as the blue haired young man yelled zap. Yuushi didn't know the jutsu, but it didn't take a prodigy to put together just what was happening, ration on each fingertip. It was almost like how he'd formed nature Chakra on his own. Still, Yuushi would quickly try to put a stop to harassing the recovering patient by poking the blue haired young man with the stick end of his scythe. Maybe a bit harder than he'd initially meant, some subconscious frustration leaking out from the smoking.
Alright stop teasing him. He's still healing, that's probably not good for him...And as he thought of all the positive development of Ayukawa, and everyone being open with their feelings, he decided to open up as well.
And I'm mad at you. He poked Zakku again, gentler this time though his face was more stern than it'd been before. I told you smoke really bothers me but you kept smoking near me. You were inconsiderate. But... He didn't poke him again, instead the young sage placed his scythe back on his back. I've enjoyed our journey together. With everyone. And I want to continue to until it ends. So I'd like it to be smoke free. And then he looked to Ayukawa. Thanks for the good example. I needed it. And he smiled, waiting until they set off to the end of their journey.
