[attr="class","karapost"]Contracted to one of Kirigakure's clans, the INSERTNAMEHERE, the White Tigers have been associated with them for over a century.

The true events of the first meeting between the first ancestors and the Tiger King will forever be obscured, twisted and tugged into a mythical fairytale told to all of the clan children. All that is known from this story is that in exchange for the powerful services of the tigers, INSERTNAMEHEREs would have to look after and raise the tiger cubs in their clan grounds.

Because of this early exposure, most clansmen children form deep bonds with a single tiger that will be groomed into a familiar. It is considered an honor among the tigers to become partners with a ningen, which is why after the ningen dies they return to the realm as part of the upper council.

"Our body is our temple, an ecosystem of light and darkness, and only when we find balance and peace within ourselves are we at our strongest.”

NAGISA

[attr="class","nagisapost"]Like many others in her profession, Nagisa had a distaste for hospitals. It troubled her to stay in bed and twiddle her thumbs until they dubbed her ‘fit for release’, but by her orders, she forced herself to stay in the plain white room. Tucked in plain white sheets. With plain white bandages. So. Much. Plain. White.

By the time they released her, Nagisa was twitching. They’d confiscated her pipe until she was off hospital grounds, putting her on edge. It barely registered in her mind when they handed her an additional scroll; odd, yes, but not big enough of a change to warrant extreme caution. Instead, she took a moment to light up her pipe, inhaling and swallowing the smoke with a ghost of a smile on her face. She'd missed smoking. She'd missed the warmth on her lips and the ghostly image of her sensei, still there, wrapped around her in the smoke.

And she couldn't ignore him. 'What's in the scroll?' Nagisa knew he wasn't there, wasn't real, but she could still feel the judgemental stare weighing down on her, telling her to open the scroll.

So with a slight sigh, Nagisa steered her way down the winding streets of Sunagakure no Sato until there were fewer people around. Without any bands of color on the scroll, it seemed there was no need for secrecy: the contents of the scroll were hardly dangerous to reveal by the administration's standards. Of course, that didn't stop her from leaning against a wall and keeping a sharp eye on her surroundings as she opened the scroll.

And nearly dropped the damned thing.

Mitsuno Nagisa, Jounin of Sunagakure no Sato, will be in charge of training the following Genin...

She didn't want to read it. Didn't want to even look at the names. They wanted her to be a sensei? Despite the years, the promotions, she was still nothing compared to Sonari - how could they ask her to do what he had done for her? She didn't even know how normal children functioned! Did they know basic jutsu? Why was there more than one? What on earth would she teach them?! There's no war to train them in!

Her mind whirled with potential issues as the scroll was crushed shut in her fist, nowhere near as pristine as its original condition.

"Um,"

Shocked and overwhelmed by her concerns, Nagisa had to stop herself from whipping out a kunai and stabbing them when a concerned civilian gently grabbed her shoulder. She'd been aware that they were coming closer, but had not thought to tell them not to touch her. She bit her tongue, straining to keep her discomfort at bay.

"Are you alright, kunoichi-san?" the younger lady asked, worry clearly written on her face.

It probably didn't look good for the village if a jounin carried herself with an expression of distress. With that in mind, Nagisa's face went blank, and, with a cheap impression of a smile, moved the civilian's hand. "Thank you for your concern, ma'am, but I'm--"

She was interrupted by gruff laughter as the woman was swept into another man's arms. "Honey, the chick is obviously stressed out about work. Lady needs a drink!"

Her face scrunched up. "No, I don't, but thank you," she tried.

"No need to be polite! C'mon, first one's on me!" And he must've known a bit more about shinobi etiquette, because he didn't quite grab her, instead allowing her to tersely follow him into the nearby pub. "Look, a good drink always helps. Keep! A shot for the fine warrior here!"

By the time the concerned couple finally left, it was well into evening and Nagisa was at least a bit tipsy. She'd checked every drink with a meticulous scrutiny to assure they weren't designed to kill her and then thrown them back with abandon. To be honest, it made walking home suddenly not the greatest of ideas. Face red and body warm with alcohol, she made her way to the park, feet ghosting over the grains of sand until she collapsed onto a bench.

Why on earth would they give her a genin team? Distracted by her thoughts and the alcohol pounding in her veins, Nagisa cared little for the approaching person. She'd be curious too if it looked like somebody had passed out in the park.
