DESCRIPTION:

After completing his training with Keiko about feeling natural energy, Akio finally tries to gather natural energy. While the act of gathering energy comes much more natural to Akio than the abstract idea of feeling the energies around him, he still can't quite hold onto the natural energy long enough to make the result useful in combat.

While Ryu has explained Sage mode and gathering energy before, he has no idea what those energies feel like or how to gather them correctly. Keiko not only guides him in gathering energy, but also tasks him with finding her following the natural energy as she gathered it. While he can follow the direction of the energies, he can't quite make out all the details and ends up tripping over Keiko into the river.

After a bit of repetition training he takes a quick nap and thinks about what's stopping him from achieving a higher level of mastery, but Akio is dumb and doesn't quite understand what kind of puzzle piece he's missing. The training ends with him frustrated because he probably has more questions about senjutsu than when he couldn't enter sage mode at all.
