294 seemed to get a bit of a head over her as they moved further in at a much quicker pace. In truth, it shouldn't have been too surprising since he was more or less a killing machine in their own right. It was what he had been employed to do so. Still, Arashi wasn't too far behind, having made her way further in, she'd finally see a more open space and cornered from proceeding any further, was the man by the Shippai. With a calm expression on her face, the young woman would then look them over as she approached. The stains of blood were similar to that of the Shippai, but they were certainly fresher. There were no cuts and no way that they could have been infected by someone else But still..something was off... As Arashi looked around, she'd frown as she shook her head. "Of course it isn't just ya here is it?...Where are the others?" It was at that moment that seemed flew in the direction of the group, prompting Arashi to raise her barrier as the sand surged upward, deflecting the Kunai as five shadows began to appear from around the two. The open area seemed to be far less empty now, and the secret to the attacks was now starting to become more clear. It wasn't a single target doing these murders...it was a group... "Ya only got one warning....that was it..." From there, Arashi would seem allow sand to float forth from the contents of her gourd, it's form flying freely as she then began to watch the group begin to fall in. "294....go for it..." SPOILER: Click to show -S.A Used- Ultimate Defense A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike. Hunter's Instinct With her training from her mother, along with the lessons she learned from her time with the Saeko's Clan, Arashi adapted her tracking ability to a level similar to that of a sensory nin. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range. Enhanced Smell Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. "This is harder than we both thought"

The Princess dictated that they were not alone, and just as she predicted--a kunai shot out from the darkness to strike her down. While they may have been anticipating to hit her while her guard was lowered, it was a pitiful attempt and fell pointless as sand shot up to shield her from harm. Just then, five more individuals crept out from the shadows to greet the two intruders.
    Including the one they had tracked down here, that would make a total of six.
    Unit 294 watched the scene unravel quietly from where he'd stood blocking off the path of the one they'd hunted down, only to now be surrounded by a group. Under most circumstances, this could have been a worrying predicament. But there wasn't an ounce of fear or concern in the puppet's stoic body language as he assessed the situation. There were six of them in total--three closer to him, and three closer to Arashi. In a logical response, he could try to take on the ones closest to him.

    Combat Initiated.

Upon the order, Unit 294's eyes flickered over to his first victim--the shinobi who stood closest to him.
    There would be almost no time to react as Unit 294 drew his katana, moving over to the first shinobi with such great speed it would appear almost instantaneous to an untrained eye. He ducked low to the ground, before jutting upward--the blade of his weapon slicing through the flesh and bone of his victim as the katana cut upright through their jugular. The victim's head went flying with the motion of the blade, but before it could even fall back to the ground, Unit 294 had sprung from his position almost immediately--using the still-standing corpse of the fallen shinobi and pushing off of it like a springboard to send himself airborne. 
    Flying at the second with incredible speed, Unit 294 began spinning visciously as he made his descent.
    The second man barely had enough time to register the collapse of his comrade before Unit 294 narrowed in on him--and the man jutted his own blade up to defend himself from the incoming puppet.
    The strike would hit--Unit 294's blade connecting with the shinobi's weapon for only a second before it shattered the steel of his opponent's blade. Unit 294's katana came crashing down, slicing through the weapon and splitting the man's skull atwine.
    As soon as the Shippai's weapon connected with his intended target, he twisted himself to get a visual on his surrounding area before immediately rushing upon the third individual. His weapon was covered in the blood of his fallen victims, the crimson liquid splattered further on the shippai's clothing and artificial skin but the grip on his katana didn't falter for a moment as he unleashed his third assault.
    Moving his arm at lightning speed, he began striking at his opponent in rapid succession. The edge of his blade piercing and stabbing the shinobi's arms, chest, and legs in hundreds of viscous attacks. Within seconds, the victim fell to the floor in a bloodied heap--arms and legs rendered useless as the flesh and tendons had been cut into dozens upon dozens of times. A leg had been severed completely, and several fingers were now detached entirely. Bones were poking through his chest as his ribs had broken and shattered under the impact of the strikes, and several organs were severely damaged. Unit 294's victim was bleeding profusely, and would likely only survive for a few moments longer before bleeding out entirely.

DESCRIPTION:
Made as the opposite of the Ryūtsuisen, it is instead a rising attack meant to strike from below. Upon a foe approaching the user from either above or the front, the user will enter a crouching position before rapidly springing upward with their sword angled towards the opponent's neck or jaw. For additional power, one may apply one's free hand to the back of the blade and jump upwards, especially useful for an airborne opponent. If the user does not wish to kill an opponent, they may use the flat of the blade to simply shatter the jaw instead.

DESCRIPTION:
Used from a position higher than one's opponent, the user will channel chakra into their legs in order to initiate a powerful jump. Upon reaching the apex of the jump, the user will begin rapidly flipping end over end in order to build up momentum for a powerful cleaving blow to the opponents head or shoulders. The strike is powerful enough to plow through both a steel helm, skull and weapon alike and a direct hit with a bladed weapon will usually prove fatal. Even a hit with a blunt weapon is capable of KO'ing the most sturdy shinobi.

DESCRIPTION: This is the sister technique to Lion's Maw. Whereas its sibling focuses on power, this technique is the opposite and focuses purely on speed. The user unleashes a lightning-fast assault on the target, using their blazing speed to inflict dozens of blows to their opponent in the blink of an eye. These blows are almost entirely stab wounds (as opposed to broad swings of the blade) because they are quicker to deal out in high quantities. To slower shinobi, the user of this technique will be just about invisible, the user blinking in and out of clear view, until they end their assault--usually lasting all of a few moments but possibly longer at the risk of overworking muscles. To those of equal speed, the challenge would lie not in seeing the user but in defending against the sheer number of jabs forced upon them from literally every angle possible.
    The user needs extreme control over their balance and footing to pull off this technique correctly, and a keen eye for precision will allow them to strike vital locations on another's anatomy versus sloppily stabbing away. Though lacking in power, one who devotes great focus to executing this technique may find the outcome just as damaging as others of its rank. This technique affords ample opportunities to sever joints, damage tendons, and strategically cut into muscle and fracture bone so as to severely cripple the target. If used against strong armor, this technique will usually succeed in heavily damaging it (if not breaking pieces away completely), provided said armor holds no impervious defense to this type of attack. If this technique is used in succession, it can rapidly cause strained muscles and joint pain from the insanely high number of repetitive motions used--typically several hundred with each execution.

Battle Music The instant that 294 began his assault, Arashi wasn't too far behind as she pushed forward a barrier of sand that began to expand and burst forth as it shifted from a shield to prevent further barrages of projectiles to fly down to transforming themselves into weapons of various designs. Two spears would appear first from projection of dust, each one surging through the air and pushing back to the defending criminal as they punctured through their body from two different angles. As the man went limp, his body slumping down to the ground, the remaining two seemed to have been so focused upon the advancing weapons that they had lost track of their operator. To which, they'd soon find appearing between them as she appeared like a vision of sand. Seeing their target now upon them, their attacks would follow swiftly, impacting against a field that would not let them pass as Arashi created a seal with her hands, allowing one to draw downward as a thin line of chakra would form between the two. The beam would seem to mix and release a burst of energy as she allowed the field to fall and twist herself to the side as she extended the near invisible rope outward, twisting it around the man's arm before slamming the back of her elbow against his chest and sending him flying into the wall. From there, the last attacker would move in once more, finding his blade hampered by the fuuton crafted rope as she used it to defend against his strikes. Stepping back, Arashi would then take the rope into her palm, a smirk crossing her lips as she slammed it down into the ground along with allowing a curse mark to cross the surface of her hand. As a barely visible circle appeared around her, she'd watch as the man moved in, rupturing the seal as blades of wind began to rip him apart. As his remains settled to the ground, she'd return to her previous attacker and began to march toward him. "Those people ya killed didn't get much of a chance to fight back...." His form scampering across the surface of the platform, he'd find himself with little room to escape, his back hitting a wall as he would then extend his weapon outward to strike, only to hit air as the female moved in, her hand taking on the shape of a blade as the weapon impaled itself into his chest. As the light began to drain from his face, Arashi would pull the sand blade back as she drew herself from her looming position over him, prompting the sand made dagger to retract upon the surface of her flesh as she looked over to see the results of the Shippai's own efforts. "Six people...they didn't put up much of a fight considering...." As her eyes shifted to the shadows, she'd see something loom outward from the darkness, seeming to be a flash of fire as it slammed against the woman's sand barrier. The scorching heat began to make her defense brittle and harden, but it remounted as she jumped back and allowed her frame to move to the side. "Thats cause it ain't just them....Those were just the messengers...and no Suna dogs are gonna take out us..." Two individuals would arrive from the darkness, a man and a woman dressed in black and their figures covered in robes and cloaks. "Chen...we weren't expectin this...I thought you said these tunnels were protected..." "Looks like I was wrong....if two rats could find us...this makes it a challenge....sides...once their dead we can just keep usin them for the other locations in Kaze no kuni..." The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku. All-Covering Forests and Ten Thousand Things Assimilate Technique A technique that Arashi learned from Shukaku, it was grafted upon the creativity and consumption of a variety of different environments and adapting them to the needs of the user. When Arashi first learned of this, she used them simply as a means of allowing her to move with the usage of her sand, traveling among the currents of the wind from one place to the next. Though over time, she has adapted to them and made that very nature part of herself and learned to manipulate it to more than just the desert itself. With this growing understanding, comes her ability to use it to better suit her needs. Such as assimilation of Steel into her skin, or ash to the very minerals that build up the sand she controls to her will. This knowledge grants her the means to take these parts of her environment and impart them into her very being. While this is a short lived experience, they aid her in her ability to control the situation and to protect herself from threats that her Ultimate Sand Defense can not predict and allow for her to better protect herself. (Post Count limit:3) Fuuinjutsu Savant Within her youth, Arashi had always been a natural when it came to the art of sealing techniques. Trained under one of it's great masters, her skill and understanding of this nearly forgotten artform only grew and has become more seasoned over time. With this knowledge, the shinobi is capable of identifying the nature and abilities of a seal just by looking at it, mapping out their structure, strength, and abilities based on previous experience and her own studies with the craft. This skill also allows for her own seals to become much stronger in their usage, extend their duration people(1 post), able to modify them to suit a specific situation or to quickly implement them in the field. -Jutsu Used- NAME: Fūton: Jirai [Wind Style: Landmine] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Medium CLASSIFICATION: Fūinjutsu ELEMENT: Fūton HANDSEALS: 0 DESCRIPTION: This seal is marked by an insignia for 'Fuuton' drawn inside a tight circle, which can be placed against the ground or drawn along a surface. Once disturbed by outside means other than proper seal disarmament, the seal ruptures, releasing a vast array of cutting wind blades out in a five meter radius. This is enough to shred against skin and cut into armor for anyone caught in the blast, as well as blow away any mist or particles in the air. NAME: Kata Kaze Nawa Hanshin [Wind Shape Rope Warrior] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Med CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Fuuton DESCRIPTION: This allows for the user to reshape their wind, creating a strong type of rope with it. The user controls the ropes by performing different motions of their hands and can vary where it goes for up to three post with these directional movements. The wind forms a very strong rope which can tie down an opponent and it used like a lasso of sorts, depending on the users skill with their hands for its target and moves like a sort of snake to entrap its victims. The range of this technique is mid-range, so in a 15 meter radius from the user. NAME: Kuikkurōtēshon [Quick Rotation] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu ELEMENT: - HANDSEALS: 0 DESCRIPTION: Utilizing chakra in the feet, ankles and legs specifically. It is a small amount of energy, but used precisely on reflexes and timing. This technique is gauged this way. When timed, the user can twist themselves abruptly out of the way of an attack. Like a speedy side-step, but a rotation of one's body to the side. A spin-move. This is only attacks in an immediate vicinity(three meters) anything else is too big an attack. Usually Taijutsu, but sometimes this technique is effective against close-range ninjutsu. NAME: Sunano-Bureedo [ Sand Blade] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton DESCRIPTION: By manipulating chakra enhanced sand, the user create a dagger-length blade from their fingertips. Effective at cutting through must fabrics it is best used to pierce soft targets or unprotected areas. NAME: Suna no sōzō: Āsenaruasaruto [Sand Creation:Arsenal Assault] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Medium CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu DESCRIPTION: A technique that requires as much imagination as it does skill, the user is capable of manipulating the density of the sand around them and construct a variety of weapons and defenses. These constructs are made of hardened minerals, capable of taking and dealing considerable damage. The instant creation of these constructs can happen in that of a split second, though the size of these creations slows down their development, along with their regulated weight class, such as the difference between a war-hammer and that of a broad sword. Yet, these can be no bigger than the actual size of their physical design. They can be reshaped though in mid-combat, adjusting to the change in situation. -Items Used- -Familiar Used-

Looking down at the man who was bleeding out on the floor, screaming and squirming in agony--the Shippai would place his blade at the side of the man's neck before quickly swiping outward--severing his head from the rest of his body.
    Unit 294 was hardly surprised at how quickly they were able to take out their opponents. While he was not overly familiar with Arashi's capabilities, he knew that as a commanding officer, she was likely very talented in her field. So, her ability to quickly overpower three people wasn't all that shocking. While they were likely formidable enough, they clearly lacked the same skill and refined capabilities to really hold a candle to Arashi's light.
    And the Puppet was no different.
    He was designed specifically for speed and dexterity, and with his age and history--there were few who could rival him. Even most other shinobi his rank would have difficulty keeping up--so for people who had staggered and slowed movements in comparison, there was little room for them to even fight back. Their reaction time had to be among the best--and it simply wasn't a skill that most had when faced off against a machine that could move more quickly than the human eye could register.
    It was exactly as Unit 294 had told her: she would need to decide in advance if she'd not wanted him to take their lives. Otherwise, she may not have been able to stop him before he could act. He didn't like to give his victims a chance.
    Quick and relatively painless executions were his specialty.
    While he had the ability to drag a fight out for all eternity, he preferred not to, for their sakes, and for his own. He didn't like to make his victims suffer needlessly, so carrying out a fight for hours until they eventually succumbed to their wounds would serve him no real gain. The longer a battle continued, the greater the chance was for his body to get damaged in the process--so he didn't like to play around with his victims just for the sake of letting them get their hopes up.
    It was, perhaps, how he'd stayed in such good condition despite not having been repaired once in the past twenty years.
    There was some wear and tear to him--slight cracks and punctures in his arms and legs, the fabric of his kimono was unravelling at the edges, but, overall, he was still able to function just as well as he could when he'd first been dispatched.
    Unit 294 would glance up when the voices of two new individuals spoke up, bantering back and forth among themselves.
    The Shippai would glance to Arashi, curious if her last declaration would still apply to these two. Was he to stand by, or execute them as well? By the sound of it, they were just as guilty as the others had been--likely the leaders of the whole operation.
    The woman shot out a blast of fire--which collided with Arashi's barrier of sand, and their threatening words were not lost on Unit 294.
    They decided they would attempt to kill the Sunagakure shinobi--and while Unit 294 doubted they were capable of it, this only confirmed to him that once more, there was a fight to be had. Unless Arashi specifically decided she wanted to spare them--which, considering their threats and the woman's attempt to burn Arashi to a crisp, the puppet doubted it--then Unit 294 would act with the intent to kill.
    It only came down to "who".
    While Unit 294 could tangle with someone who used katon ninjutsu, he would be directly exposed to the elements. While several parts of his body were fireproof, several parts were not. The other shinobi--contrarily--appeared to be a medical shinobi of some kind, from what the puppet could gather from their gear.
    Arashi had barriers of sand working on her side--she could fight from a ranged distance. When working against a medical shinobi, there were several things to worry about--their precise knowledge of the human body and how to shut it down, their deadly use of chakra, as well as lethal toxins. Not to mention--medical shinobi were usually pretty light on their feet, themselves. If they were trained at all for combat, they were usually trained to survive or to be the last man standing that way they could better aid their fallen man.
    Which meant they were usually quick, precise, and deft.
    Unit 294 didn't have to worry about getting burned. He couldn't feel pain. He didn't have to worry about being poisoned, or having needles try to hit and damage his nerves as he didn't have any of those, either. If his body was cut into and torn up--so long as the pieces were still attached, he could still control them, as he didn't have to rely on functioning and intact muscles to get him going. And even if his body did get severely damaged--
    --It was better him than Arashi.
    Unit 294 had made up his mind. He'd leave the katon user for the Princess to fight against, and he'd keep the one who would have the greatest advantage against a living person for himself.
    Darting toward the man, Unit 294 would swing his blade upward to strike at the medical shinobi without any hesitation in his step.

Any means for conversation was over the moment one of them attacked. A clear sign for 294 as he quickly moved in against the male, leaving Arashi handle the woman whom had thrown the first blow. With her display of Katon, it was clear she might focus on that style of fighting, but it wasn't certain. Arashi wasn't able to read people, but she could guess at a pattern if there were one. Having landed back down at the ground, the Sunagakure nin would begin watching the female as she soon began her own descent, hands weaving across the air in front of her as she would then place her fingertips over her lips. As flames erupted from her, the dark haired shinobi would quickly move to the side, her hands quickly weaving seals as she then slid to a stop as the torrent of fire persisted. Yet as they finally connected against the Jounin, she'd find the flames disappearing as quickly as they were released, vanishing into a vortex while Arashi seemed to stand back and watch them do so. Gritting her teeth, the female would draw her weapon before tossing the angled blade from the side, watching it crash into the young woman before she rushed in after for an assault of her own. The man narrowly evaded Unit 294's assault--the tip of the shippai's blade managing to leave a large gash from his stomach up toward his shoulder. The injury was deep, but he'd not been sliced into two as the puppet had intended. A handful of needles shot from the man's grasp--embedding themselves deeply within the puppet's joints and locking up the arm that held the katana.
    Clever, Unit 294 thought. It was unlikely that the man realized what he was fighting against wasn't human--but luck had been on his side enough. Like a wrench thrown amidst the gears of a clocktower, Unit 294's joints locked up momentarily rendering his arm immobile. While he did not feel pain, and with perhaps enough force he could break the needles that had shot into him--if pulling them out with his spare hand proved too much of a hassle--the fact of the matter was that even if he was not suffering, he'd stalled for just a moment.
    A moment long enough for the medic shinobi to focus chakra into his hand--the energy spreading out further than merely the tips of his fingers, but enveloping the whole of his hand. "Jōmyaku Haretsu!" he shouted, slamming his palm directly onto Unit 294's chest. He'd send a pulse of chakra through Unit 294, the assault intending to course through his blood vessels and burst his arteries--a direct attack to the heart proving fatal. It had been a risk getting so close to the shippai--and he'd taken a decent blow in order to do so--but the payoff was to end the fight just as quickly as it had begun and with lethal force.
    Unfortunately, Unit 294 didn't have a heart to be tampered with.
    The door on the lower half of his chest cavity slid open to reveal his metal coil--the steel rope shooting out from him to wrap around the medic shinobi with blinding speed.
    He shouted out in surprise, shock, and horror in a mixture of his failed attack and the apparent realization that what he had been fighting against was more machine than man. Still, his screams would be silenced quickly enough as the coils wrapped tightly around his neck, the steel snapping the bones in his spine with deadly force as the shippai strangled the man to death.

A thick coil of steel with a spiked, pronged tip that can open and collapse, wound tightly inside Unit 294's chest cavity. This weapon is effectively a part of the puppet, and can move according to his will--though is always attached to him. For Unit 294 to use this weapon, he must open up his chest cavity in the front, or through his back, and this weapon has a reach of 50 yards.

ABILITIES:
This weapon can be utilized in a variety of ways, but ultimately has two main functions. To harm, and to grant mobility. Because of it's thick, durable nature, it can effectively strangle anything it wraps around without fear of being ripped like a normal rope--the steel components only vulnerable against chakra-enhanced weaponry, and the spiked tip can be used to either impale a victim or grab onto them. The end of the coil has three-pronged spikes that can open and close, allowing it to close to a point (and stab into something) or open up (to either grab or lock it into place, depending on how it's being used). Because the tips are also made of steel, it can only stab into softer materials--such as flesh or wood, with stone it can only dig in just deep enough to secure a grip, and it's unable to penetrate concentrated metals or chakra-enhanced objects.
   However, when not being used aggressively, this tool can be used to grapple onto something perhaps out of reach, and coil back within Unit 294's core to either retract the object to him, or to bring him to the item. What this tool can bring to where depends on the weight of the object and the anchor. If Unit 294 is anchored to a stone wall he (the object) will be brought to the wall (the anchor). Meanwhile, if whatever he's grappled onto weighs less than he does, Unit 294 will become the anchor, and whatever the coil has attached itself to (like a vase or lighter person) will move towards him.

Activation: Although there are many weapons hidden inside Unit 294's abdomen and chest cavity, they are stored in different compartments and can be accessed in different ways. In order for Unit 294 to use this tool, he must unlock the hinge on his side and slide open the door to gain access to this inner compartment. For him to stop using this weapon, he must fully wind up the coil before he can close the door and lock his chest cavity once again.

Battle Music The gagged screams of the dying man echoed through the area as the roar of flames would seem to dissipate under the sudden snap of his neck as Arashi focused on regaining ground. It wasn't much of a matter of sticking to the surface of the wall to move upward to meet her target. The burst of ash that had once been her field seal vanished under the movement of the young female. Arriving upward, she'd see the murderer release yet another burst, this time launching them further outward as they attempted to collide into the Suna nin. Though as they flew, Arashi would continue her ascension, jumping from one surface to the next overhead, holding her position before seeing the next volley as she dropped down to the ground. The woman had managed to avoid the Fuma shuriken, but seeing her opponent up close, as well as glancing down to see the death of her partner, her eyes seemed to narrow and wince with pain. "Those people...in those villages...they expected us to work like common farm hands! We were trained...for war! For combat! Sunagakure turned it's back on us! They let us starve because of a mishap! We were trying to survive!!" Arashi didn't say anything, simply staring the woman down as she began to march toward her. "You would never understand! Your someone! You have people that see you as a god! A damn demon! You and the Oonakayama! The Kazekage! All of you can just burn in hell!" Releasing yet one last scream, the female would perform yet another combination of handseals, her eyes closed as she took in air and release a blast of fire that seemed large enough to take out the entire upper level. Yet as the blast surged forward, Arashi seemed to disappear as her form shifted to that of sand, the particles of dust spilling around the attack, before forming back on the other side as it collided with the wall behind her. "See ya there..." With a sweeping of her hand, Sand would rise from her gourd before surrounding the woman much like a cocoon. As darkness consumed her, the young princess would then close her fist as she heard the crunching of bones, and allowed the floating prison to drop the woman as her form appeared mangled and broken behind her. Releasing a breath, her eyes would shift back to their normal hazel hue, prompting her to look back down to see that 294 seemed to be finished on his end. The murder of those villages had been two former shinobi of Sunagakure. Dishonorably discharged likely considering they went to such lengths. Still, it was worth looking into once she got home. Among other things... Taking a moment to sniff out the area, it appeared that those were indeed the last of them. "Yo....there isn't any chance these are related to your mission?" Her expression was calm, but she had a feeling that it was a stretch. Everything about 294 operations seemed to date back years before she was even born. So what hope was there that these two would even be a blip on his radar? "Never mind...forget I asked..." Seeing her weapon impaled into the rocks, Arashi would make her way to retrieve it, still looking around as she shook her head. "Was it this bad when ya started out?" This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike. Hunter's Instinct With her training from her mother, along with the lessons she learned from her time with the Saeko's Clan, Arashi adapted her tracking ability to a level similar to that of a sensory nin. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range. Enhanced Smell Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose) Will of Sand Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. Unit 294 watched as the human in his grasp went limp, the tells of life fading away after the shippai's final attack. Once he was certain the man was dead, the steel rope would coil back into the shippai's abdomen and his chest cavity would close. Turning his attention back toward Arashi and her own opponent--he would observe briefly to determine if he needed to step in at all. Arashi seemed to be a fine and capable shinobi, in his eyes, so it was not for any belief that she was lacking in skill or finesse--but if he needed to cut her opponent down he would assist.
    Though, Arashi's target yelled and shouted in her grief, ranting about the injustices she'd experienced and expressed clearly the bitterness that had resided in her heart.
    In his inhumanity, Unit 294 felt little pity for her situation, and so he would not speak before she was killed by the princess and her outcries were silenced.
    He did not know or understand the extent of her experiences, but it was a shinobi's duty to obey commands given to them. It was their obligation to follow orders, no matter their position, no matter who they were. Perhaps he was biased--a literal object crafted for war, he could not sympathize with the distain for being a soldier in combat. It was a sad reality of this world--no matter the region or era; there was always war. There was always bloodshed. There was always conflict. And, so long as those truths lingered--there was a need for warriors. They may change their names or tactics over the years, but those called to combat would always serve the same purpose.
    And whether it was for fame, honor, or from a lack of any other option--it made no difference.
    It was, to the shippai, arrogant to be caught up in concern over glory and prestige. Clan names, position of power, or whatever else--what did it truly matter, to her? Arashi's success did not cause the woman's own failures. If she felt shadowed by the princess, it was only because she chose to walk the path behind her instead of stepping into the path of sunlight.
    It was foolish.
    And childish, really.
    Unit 294 could not bring himself to care about such things.
    And, so, with the final opponent defeated, Unit 294 would gaze upon Arashi as she spoke quietly to him, giving questions of her own. Questions that he could not truthfully answer. Was... what--bad? When he had started out? "I apologize, but I do not understand your question," the shippai answered truthfully. Shinobi defecting from their villages, bitter and feeling slighted against for whatever reason? He could not remember any of it, but he doubted the concept was new. For as long as humans created civilizations, he was certain that there would be those who felt outcasted by them, those who felt they had been wronged and betrayed. Perhaps they were right in their beliefs, perhaps they weren't. But, nonetheless, it was not something he could easily relate to.

Moment Music Memory loss.... She wondered exactly what was the extent of his lapse in it? Was it possible that it could have very well been sealed away? The more she thought about it, considering her own experience on the subject, it wasn't too far out there to assume that might be the case. But would it be possible to do so with a Shippai? They didn't technically have minds. Or at least, that was a common thought and she had gotten that impression from spending much of her life guarded by one. Though Tsuneo-sensei wasn't exactly the best example next to the one standing below her. The ones that would know for certain would be their creators, and they were more than secretive about how the process went. Still...to forget so much...she wondered if it wasn't as much of a failure in his construction and more of just so much time having passed that it was a distant memory that had been locked away by itself? Was it perhaps something that was capable...for a being that no longer possessed a will of their own? "Don't worry bout it...just thinkin out loud..." Pulling herself over the side, she'd allow herself to drop down to the ground as she then looked around at the remains of the people that attacked, proving that at least this nightmare operation was over. The murderers were at least proven to be former shinobi of Sunagakure, regarding themselves as betrayed by the system and left to fend for themselves. Whether or not this was during the time of her father wasn't clear, but she'd suspect that it wasn't. If anything, this was before his time, and likely his knowledge. Her father was a better person than that... "Anyway...it looks like this solves the mystery of the village attacks...it doesn't bring them back...but at least their victims can take some comfort in knowing that they gained some justice...not that it will mean much to the dead..." It was heavy truth, the dead didn't get real justice....but perhaps their spirits could at least rest easier. "Now...that still leaves your issue....we have no idea if your target is even alive and if they are...I'm betting they aren't anywhere near here...the blood on your clothes showed that something happened and it wasn't exactly fresh...so either you did the task and got lost along the way....or somewhere along the lines ya just decided not to come back to the village..." Cupping her hand beneath her face, she'd think on it for a moment as it was far better to focus on that mystery than to continue to consider just how far these people had gone to prove a point against people that weren't even involved. "But that would be impossible...or so everyone says..." Shrugging her shoulders, the young shinobi would then sigh before then placing one hand on her head and then closing her eyes. "Maybe it's better not to know...after all, I doubt that your nin is causing trouble nearly 20 years later...and if the previous Kazekage sent you on this assignment, it means that it had to have happened during the Suna-Iwa conflict...probably even...." Her expression stopped for a moment as she thought for a second. The pause lingered as she then looked at the shippai and then closed her eyes. Was it possible that this Shippai was...no...it couldn't be...could it? "But the point is... they're likely dead...so that means that ya probably should come back home with me..." There was no true justice for the dead. An unfortunate truth, but a necessary performance of tasks nonetheless. "Whether you believe in vengeance or honor; they cannot do any more harm to those who are still living." That, too, was a truth. They could not bring back the dead from beyond the grave, and it was possible that even avenging them would suit no real purpose--as it was unknown whether or not spirits could observe the living world to feel any gratitude. But they had been stopped, and the living could rest easier because of it. And, for that, it had been worth doing.
    Unit 294 turned his head to look at the princess as she spoke on his own matters--and she seemed a bit wrapped up in her own thoughts on the whole ordeal. He did not fully understand where she was coming from, or why she seemed to be so engrossed in what his life had been for the past twenty years. They had established that the man he'd been sent out to kill had already died--creating an endless loop for the puppet who sought to kill somebody who no longer lived. Perhaps the concept was more difficult for her to grasp or accept--but to the shippai, who understood himself, perhaps, much better than she did; it had made perfect sense.
    The puppet would walk up to the young woman, stopping a couple of feet away as he'd look upon her with a soft expression. "Impossible, yes. I believe you are thinking too much and worrying your mind over conjured fantasies." His voice was calm and soothing--gentle as an elder brother trying to ease a younger sibling who had awoken from a nightmare. Whatever she wanted to believe, though, it did not change the reality of the situation. So, he hoped to perhaps distract her from her conspiracies. "But I am here, now. Thanks to your highness, I have found a guiding light to bring me back from where I had been lost. For that, I am in your debt, and you have my gratitude for your generosity and your mercy."

In the end, before she could finish trying to correct him on his manner of addressing her, he seemed to state how he was indeed grateful to her and in her debt. Which, she honestly didn't think that was the case. If anything, she just happened upon him and fortunately, no one was hurt in trying to apprehend him. But at the very least, outdated or not, the Shippai remembered enough to be cautious of mannerisms. Perhaps it had to do with her status or maybe it was just something that was ingrained. Shaking her head, she'd place one hand upon her hip before waving it to the side as she smiled. "Ya really don't have to thank me...I was happy to do it...you don't me a thing..." That said, she'd soon begin to make her way back the way they had entered, looking over her shoulder as she gestured for the living puppet to follow. "Come on 294...lets go home..."
