Zakku hadn't been to Okasu in so long it looked different yet the same.  Watching the water gently move Zakku looked at the luxurious cabins and hotels that were used for visitors like them but they weren't using normal shelter.  "Over here."  Zakku called to Saeko motioning to a large rock that jutted out of the sand.  

"This will provide shade till the evening and gives us a strong wall to shield from any sudden sandstorms."  Zakku examined the rock and dropped his travel pack.  "We'll set up camp here.  The only assistance we'll be getting is a regular shipment of wood that'll be delivered from one of the hotels who's got an agreement with the village."  Reaching into his travel pack he pull out a large tarp the same color as the sand around them.  

"You get this end stuck in the rock and I'll work on getting this end in the ground."  He tossed one half to her and stuck his tongue out at her.  "Then we're going Hunting.  Can't get to work without a source of food."  He'd seen Saeko-chan use her hunting skills on a mission but it'd be interesting to see how it translated when the promise of food was on the line.  It'd also signal the start of their training.  He also needed to make sure she was adjusted to her arm and what better way than an activity she was more than familiar with.

Small cat to Fierce Tiger of the Sands "Okay... The strangeness of them using a make-shift shelter when surrounded by more stable constructs was a bit out there. But, the promise of the two of them relying on more natural means for survival was indeed fundamental to their training. Or at least, that was what Zakku had said anyway... Nodding her head, the young shinobi would take her end of the tarp provided by her teammate, beginning to work it so that she could place it within the rock's surface. It was a bit of a challenge at first, or at least, it was using normal means. Though she was doing her best mentally to resist, it seemed wasteful to not use the capabilities of her new tool if it was meant to be a part of her. So as she extended her arm out to hold one side of the material, she'd swiftly strike against the wall with the metal appendage, causing it to crack against the force of her punch, leaving a small hole within it. "Oops..." Holding a sheepish grin, she'd then begin to quickly try and work around the mistake, tying a knot within it as she pushed it out of the hole and made sure that it would still hold up against the wind. It seemed enough time to turn her back to it and try and cover it, looking at Zakku-kun as he mentioned how after they had made their shelter, they could go hunting. "I can't wait! I'm not too familiar with this area, but if things are as lively as it seemed on our way here...we should be okay!" With a grin, Ayukawa would nod before holding a thumbs up, revealing the gravel marked knuckles of her hand as she then blinked while looking down at it and scrapping it off with the other. "Though wouldn't most of the food here be...well...fish?"

To say Zakku was shocked at the hole his Teammate left in the hole would be an understatement.  Of course her natural strength would seem natural with her metal appendage.  "Holy shit..."  He muttered and stuck his end into the ground with a pair of stakes shoved through some older well read books to aid in keeping it down.

Smiling at Ayu as the gravel fell from her hand he shook his head.  "Good eye.  We're here to do another type of hunting."  Sitting down he'd take off his shoes and roll his pants up to his knees.  "We're going hand fishing."  

Pushing himself up to his feet with a grunt Zakku would throw his shoes at his pack.  "The fishing boats don't come in this close because their boats will get beached.  So the fish here have moved closer to the shore to avoid the boats."  Stepping into the water he'd move until the water was just below his knees and stood with his arms at his sides.  His green eyes scanned the water waiting for the fish to move back in after his entrance to the water had disturbed them and caused them to flee.  "Let's see how your hunting skills adapt to a foe you'll have trouble seeing and getting a grip on."

Small cat to Fierce Tiger of the Sands "Ooooohhh...I see...Ya really know a lot Zakku-kun..." Ayukawa would cup her hand beneath her face, looking down at the water as Zakku seemed to explain just what it was they were going to do. Though it seemed simple enough, this was one of the few times Ayukawa had seen this much water. There were small oasis of course, but a supply like this was rare in the desert. But then again, they were by the ocean. Next to what she had seen within Yuki, which was a frozen ice plain, this was far more generous. Sitting herself down, she'd begin to do the same as her companion, allowing her pant's to adjust themselves with the usage of her hands rolling up their leggings. From there, her boots would come off, allowing her bare feet to touch the heated sand as she watched the display of the blue haired teen. While his own attempt had fair less than perhaps he would like, Ayukawa would just giggle as she began to move toward the water as well. Wadding into it, she'd soon find herself waist deep within, her mind going back to her lessons with Asahi as she then smiled before diving her body into it. Bouncing back to the surface, she'd shake her hair and face before rubbing her eyes with a frown. "Gah! Ow ow...right...salt water...ow..." Drenched down, she'd then look over as he likely waited for her to try her hand at fishing this way, prompting her to move in a bit further. "Lets see...if their startled...they move further out...so just easing in on them and then.." Seeing one such prey, she'd attempt to take hold of it, finding herself lunging outward and missing completely. With her face planted against the water's surface, she'd pull herself up as she pouted. "Their really fast...."

Zakku watched Ayu attempt to ambush the fish.  Watching her leap and scare the fish further back he debated briefly on watching for a while long but instead walked over to her.  Placing a hand on her head he'd reach up with a hand to signal her to be quiet.  "This isn't like the prey you hunted on land."  

Placing his hands into his pockets he'd look back at the fish.  "Fish are dumber than us in intelligence but in instinct they've evolved and adapted just you and I have."  Motioning for her to stand he'd point to the group just out of reach.  "You're so used to just diving straight in you forgot one of the greatest points of hunting."  His hand followed a single fish that got brave enough to come out towards.  "Patience."

The fish would swim around Zakkus feet then return to it's group.  "They can only feel what enters and moves in the water.  So every time you dove in you sent out a preemptive warning.  Now if you only use just your hands you'll make not as big a warning but just little enough to not surprise the others."  As he said it the fish slowly began to move closer to them.  Still wary from the splashing earlier but their single minded objective bringing them closer.  "Wait until they're going around us.  Then grab one."  Zakku crossed his arms enjoying the cool water around his legs.

Small cat to Fierce Tiger of the Sands "Sorry..." It was easy to forget that a huntress was patient as much as they were swift against their target. This reminder came with the weight from Zakku's hand against her head, as well as instruction on how she needed to proceed in order to get their dinner. Just like any land animal, they were alert to their surroundings, and her movements caused them only more time to react and move away. So that meant that they had to simply wait, allowing for the fish to feel more comfortable and then attempt again. With a sigh, Ayukawa found herself allowing for slow movement, doing her best not to move the water surrounding her as she let her body sink slightly, her face just above the surface with a narrowed expression. Silence was also key, and as she did her best to do so, she'd find small bubbles rising near her lips as she looked back to see Zakku simply enjoying the cool waves at his feet. "How do ya do it? Ya know? Stay calm like that?"

Saeko Ayukawa

Zakku watched the water slosh around his feet.  Closing his eyes he'd let out a soft sigh.  He also had his own training he had to focus on.  He always loved to run but after a mission Zakku had learned he could go even faster.  He'd felt his chakra coarse through his legs like he was using his Grind Wire technique but he'd never done any handsigns.  He just ran and let the clam of the run over take him.  This had to be sorted out.

He imagined his Lightning beast looking at him.  'What have you been up to?'  He asked it and got a tilted head in return.  Snapping his eyes open he looked over at Ayuwaka as she asked him how he stayed so calm.  Looking at the waters he had never put any thought into his calm attitude.  "I honestly don't know."  Shaking his head he shrugged.  "I just focus on planning my next step and thinking about how it's going to be executed would probably be the best way I can put it."  

Movement catching his eye and he saw another fish had come to check out his leg.  Slowly he dropped his arms watching it examine the recent area.  Pointing at his Hyper active teammate he held up a single finger to her to wait.  Two more joined the first on their exploration.  Pulling his hand back Zakku struck out with his hand grabbing his prey between the tail and body.  With a yank he'd send water flying back towards the shore but no fish.  Having slipped from his grasp it retreated with it's two friends.  "Mo-"  Stopping himself from cursing he went back to watching the water.

Small cat to Fierce Tiger of the Sands "Focus on the next move....hmm" Ayukawa would cup her hand against her lips, watching as Zakku made his attempt, yet soon saw he had little success either. With a blank expression, the teen would continue to wade in the water, looking on at the movement of the fish as she closed her eyes. She could think of a lot of other animals in which she could have gone and grabbed by now. In fact, there were plenty of prey that would at least provide some excitement next to waiting for this prey to be within reach. Still, if this was part of training, than she had to work at it and succeed... Time continued to pass as the sun rose even higher into the sky. At this point, the short haired female had removed her jacket from her form, her body looking upward toward the sky as she noted that the fish were drawing closer than previously. Yet still, it seemed as though they were just shy of coming any closer. "I wish I had a rock..." Mumbling lightly to herself, the girl would then look over toward Zakku to see how he was fairing, her brow raised as she then turned back toward the waves.

Zakku closed his eyes and took a deep breath.  Slowly he'd open his eyes and watch the fish.  How had he used his chakra before to increase his speed?  His grind wire technique.  Looking at his hands he remembered the feeling of his chakra infiltrating his muscles and the rush it gave him.  Though it never enhanced his reaction time it helped get him out of some serious situations.  

It was also the same feeling he had running through his muscles when he was on his mission with Arashi.  Watching the fish get closer he began to breath deeply  His green eyes focused on one fish and his hands twitched.  "I'm faster than any of you."  He said under his breath.  Lightning shot up his back and down his arms.  Clenching and unclenching his fists.  "I'm the fastest person in the village."  

His hand shot back and then forward striking the water but there wasn't a splash.  Zakkus wrapped each finger around the fish which hadn't seemed to notice the water intrusion.  Pulling back he was hit with a face full of water  from the backsplash but most importantly he had a squirming fish in his hand.  Smiling he knew where to begin with own speed training.  "How fast did I go?"  He looked back at Ayu not hiding his pride that showed in his face.

Small cat to Fierce Tiger of the Sands "WOAH!!!" The girl would blink rapidly as she held her mouth open partially, looking at Zakku and then at the fish in hand. The movement had been so swift, almost as if he had turned his limb invisible, only to return it back into it's present state with the wiggling aquatic creature in his grasp. Moving over toward him, Ayukawa would continue to marvel as she held her hands to the side of her face, and then look back over toward Zakku with a smile brimming from ear to ear. "DUDE!!! It was as if you hadn't even moved!! How did you do that!? I've never seen you move that fast before!!" In that moment, she'd then move in close, sniffing him with her nose before then leaning back with a frown as she placed one hand on her hip. "Are ya smokin that stuff to make ya faster? I thought it was just to make ya smell funny and focus ya mind? I didn't know it could make you faster..."

Zakku couldn't help but laugh.  "No.  That's not the point of my smoking at all.  It's a relaxing thing that dulls...Look that doesn't matter right now."  Zakku kept staring at the squirming fish in his hand his smile just as wide as Ayu's.  "My Raiton took control of my muscles and I was moving faster I could even see what I was doing."  Moving his arm slowly his muscles ached and burned bringing a grunt of pain from him. 

He grabbed the fish with his other hand.  "It'll take a bit for my body to adjust but that's what training is for right?"  He flashed a smiled at his eager teammate and slowly lowered his arm down to his side.  "Patience is Power."   He reminded her.  He'd stay in the water keeping his arm close to his body.  The fish continued its fight but to little effect.  The blue haired shinobi watched for the fish to return.  ""Use their defense to your offense."  He told Ayu softly keeping himself still as the fish slowly began to return none the wiser of their friends disappearance.

While it seemed less about patience and more on using the stimulation of muscles to enhance his movements, Ayukawa would close her eyes and then release a breath before returning her gaze back to the water. It was odd to think that patience was indeed powerful. It didn't seem to do much but slow her down. But that wasn't to say that she hadn't seen it's uses also, just not in a situation like this. But perhaps it varied. Or maybe it worked better for some than most? In the end, she wasn't exactly sure what she was trying to get out of this aside from a headache...

Zakku watched Ayu for a bit before stuffing his fish into the pocket in his vest.  He placed his good hand on her head like he was giving her a chop and let out an audible sigh.  "You've done this a million times on land.  Think about your next move and what you have to change."  The blue haired chuunin turned to face the fish as they slowly snaked back into the area. 

He kept quiet watching his teammate and taking his hand off her head. Grabbing his meal once more he stayed where he was.  He wondered how much her hunting skills would be able would be able to transfer to the water.

Small cat to Fierce Tiger of the Sands "Uh..right...million times...on the land...this should be easy..." Feeling the weight of his hand lift from her head, the girl would hold a sheepish grin before then looking back toward the water as she released a breath and began to focus. When hunting, you waited until you saw your moment to strike, usually when your target was alone and no longer within the shelter of its group. Picking it off away from the rest made it so they would not be alerted of the next strike when it came. It was similar with how you attacked an opponent on a mission. A group could easily recognize one of their own going missing or an attack upon them if clustered together... As she waited, she'd soon see the one straggler making it's way outward. It seemed to either be scanning the situation or trying to find their mission friend. In a way, she almost felt a bit bad for the critter. Still, it was this or nothing at meal time, and Ayukawa wasn't exactly herself when she was hungry. The fish would continue to inch out more and more, prompting the short haired female to remain still, her frame like stone as she let her eyes do all the moving for her. As she purple hues stayed trained on her intended dinner, she'd nearly move but stop short upon realizing the distance between them. Too soon...wait... Closer and closer the fish came, it's tail creating waves that reached the surface. But just as it drew close enough to almost hit Ayukawa's chest, the girl would sweep her arms downward in a swooping motion, her eyes closed as she felt the splash of water hit her face. She'd feel something moving under her, and as she looked down with one eye, she'd see it. "Heheh! Gotcha!! I got one Zakku-Kun!!!" Holding up the fish by it's tail, the girl would look at the size of it and blink for a moment as she grinned from ear to ear. "How was that!?"

Saeko Ayukawa

Zakkus eyes widened as he watched the size of the fish his teammate had caught.  He looked between the fish he'd caught and hers and felt his eye twitch.  "Whoa...Congratulations Ayu-Chan.  Now if you want more you're on your own dude."  He turned going back onto shore and kicking his feet as he walked over towards the pile of logs one of the resorts had left for them.

Stacking some wood up into a pile Zakku ripped a few pages from an old book and with a quick spark from him he'd start and small fire and sit back watching it grow.  Holding the fish over the slowly building fire Zakku rubbed his sore arm but couldn't help but smile.  This was the first step towards their growth.  It'll be hard but he'd said it wouldn't be easy and he wasn't very often a liar to his teammates or friends.
