The flash bomb would indeed startle the lead steed and all but stop it in its tracks, thrashing about in all the confusion. Those in the wagon would be shaken about as they tried to get hold of the reigns while the others in the caravan had their attempts to steer clear of the attack halted by a newly formed electrified fence. The plan had succeeded in getting the group to stop but that was only the beginning as it was now up to the two shinobi to take the bandits out and rescue the merchants.

"Da hell was that? How'd they catch up to us?!" Called out a man from the front most wagon. "Doesn't matter! We take care of 'em, get rid of this fence and keep moving. Let's go!" The scruffy voiced man from the rear wagon called out as the remaining bandits poured out from their respective wagons; 12 in total sporting all manner of weapon in various conditions. It was clear that the de facto leader of their little group was an older man whose face had definitely been on the losing end of more than one knife fight. "I-I see them! But.. it's just two people." The lady with the telescope called out while peering through her instrument. Murmurs of confusion wafted through the bandits, even a couple snickers of laughter upon hearing that the village had only sent two people to try and stop them.

"Guess Suna is going through tougher times than we heard if you two runts are all they could afford to send after us. Whatever, we'll give the Kazekage our regards when we send your heads back to him. Get em boys!" The older one called out prompting six of the bandits to charge at the Suna duo. Three had swords, one a staff and the others dual wielding medium sized hammers. Three would come from Asahi's left while the others would come from Zakku's right attempting to either corner them in or make their only route of escape towards the center where the rest of the bandits lay waiting.

"Same plan as before, just make sure not to do anything that will hit the wagons." Asahi would call out to Zakku as a reminder that while they did need to take these guys out not to get too wild.

Zakku let out a sigh.  He didn't think there was that many people but it did make sense.  They'd need quite a few of them to handle the merchants.  However the pair of Shinobi were different than merchants.  They knew how to fight and were trained more than the bandits did. "Don't touch the carts.  That shouldn't be too hard."  Nodding in acknowledgement Zakku watched the group moving around on his right.  "Looks like we're gonna have to move up the chain of command." Placing his hands together he weaved hand signs until he placed both palms together.  Feeling the familiar tingle of Raiton that gathered between his hands the blue haired shinobis eyes didn't leave the advancing group.  "You guys might find this to be a shock."  He said with a half smirk.

Pressing his palms together Zakku would wait for the group to get closer.  Briefly memories of his attempts to use this technique leaving his hands cut and bleeding.  That was back when he used his chakra recklessly.  He had grown since then and now the only marks the move would leave in on his targets.  As soon as the attackers got close enough Zakku threw open his hands at them.  "Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder."  The lightening arcing from his hands and towards the bandits aimed to badly electrocute them.

Lightning Release: Electric Fence
After placing three or more metallic objects such as a kunai, swords, or metal poles around a target, the user then channels a few bolts of Raiton chakra into one of the objects, from there it will jump between the objects to form a fence of Raiton. Anything within the fence can be electrocuted. The voltage is not high enough to kill or severely injure but can cause moderate burns as well as numbness in the extremities.

Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder
This technique allows the user to create a wave of electricity from their hands up to 20 meters away from them. The user can vary its power from a small surge to lightly shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock and badly electrocuting opponents. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water technique.

If he hadn't been staring down three opponents himself Asahi definitely would have rolled his eyes upon hearing Zakku's pun. They definitely needed work but if that was what came with the maturity aspect then so be it. Lightning would race from the blue haired chunin towards his three attackers and like deer in headlights they could only watch as the oncoming current of electricity tore through them leaving little more than convulsing, soon to be dead bandits lying on the desert floor. On the other side stood the young Kyokujitsu attempting to piece together the best plan of action that didn't involve possibly hitting the carts. It limited his options a bit but there was always old faithful.

A set of seals would precede three small sun like orbs appearing around him, and with a motion they each shout out towards one of the attackers before passing through their bodies literally sapping each and every piece of moisture from their bodies leaving them as little more than husks. "Well, that's half of them. I doubt the rest will rush in so recklessly so we'll probably have to go on the offensive. You ready?" Asahi would ask his mission partner as his focus turned to the remaining bandits who had various looks of confusion and terror etched across their faces.

"B-Boss, what do we do? We can't beat those guys!" One of the bandits would ask. "Damnit, we were SO CLOSE until you damn brats showed up. I'm not losing this payday!" The scruff bandit screamed out as he removed a scroll from bag. Quickly unfurling it the kanji for 'FIRE' could be seen plainly in the center of the scroll. "Hehehe, you punks may be able to survive something like this, but I doubt these guys in the wagons can. Now turn around and head on back to the village or you'll be bringing these guys back to Suna in a jar!" The man would call out to the two with an ultimatum.

"Zakku we can't let him unseal that scroll. You're faster than me so whatever you have to do to stop him do it. Cut off his hands, head, I don't care, but do it now!" Asahi would call out to the blue haired youth. For all his supposed skill in the sealing arts there wasn't much the chunin could do in this situation so he'd have to hope Zakku could make it in time.

NAME: Shakuton: Kajōsatsu [Scorch Release: Extremely Steaming Murder ]

DESCRIPTION:
The user creates from their body several flaming orbs of heat that resemble small suns, ones that will hover around him/her within a close proximity. These orbs rotate around the user and can be freely controlled by will of their creator to attack enemies, which is done by quickly charging towards and entering the target as conducted heat. Once an orb has been conducted, the heat immediately courses all throughout the body of the afflicted; when used on a living being all of their bodily fluids will be evaporated, leaving them as a steaming mummified corpse. This heat is difficult to block since it is energy, leaving the only true defense being Water Release techniques. However, because the orbs cannot move farther than five meters from the user's body, staying at a long distance is also an efficient defense.

Zakku stared in shock and horror.  They intended to kill off the merchants?  Clenching and unclenching his fists the blue haired shinobi began to ease his breathing.  "Alright.  That I can do.  Just don't judge me for what I'm about to do."  Bracing his legs against the sand Zakku's chakra began to coarse through his muscles.  The same moment he weaved his hand signs and placed a closed fist against the palm of his hand.  "Lightning Release: Lightning Blade Creation!"  Whipping his closed fist away from his hand a curved blade of Lightning was sparking from his hand.

With a Thunderous Whoomp Zakku sped off.  With blinding speed even he wasn't aware he was capable of he advanced straight up to the man.  Moving this fast felt amazing to the teen.  He'd only ever dreamed about moving at this speed.  Finally the efforts of his training were showing.  He couldn't be prouder.  A wide and maniac grin across his face as he closed the distance with little effort.  Swinging the blade he'd aim to not only slice the mans hands off but his head as well.  Sliding to a stop just before his electric fence Zakku smiled his blade still crackling.  "Don't hunt what you can't kill, Dude."

Lightning Release: Lightning Blade Creation
After forming the necessary hand seals, the caster will close their hand as if they're gripping the hilt of a sword. Lightning will spring forth from both ends, creating a blade of lightning. This blade can range in size from a katana to a greatsword. To describe this jutsu in the simplest of terms, the blade combines the immense cutting power of Supervibrato Lightning Sword Technique, the piercing power of the False Darkness technique, and the shocking and paralyzing power of the Inspiration Wave Technique and intensifies them three-fold.

Well if there was anything that would get the job done it would be a sword made out of pure lightning and if anyone knew how to use such a thing to its full potential it was Zakku, Asahi simply hoped he could make it in time. "Huh? Didn't you brats hear me? Back off or the merchants get cooked!" Screamed the bandit leader with his hand oh so close to the seal. He wasn't bluffing one bit and the power held within that scroll would for sure end the lives of the merchants. In his eyes there was always another score to make another day, so if today's mission didn't pan out then so be it.

However, there would be no tomorrow for the man as in a flash the blue haired Chunin had zipped away from his starting position and loosed a slice efficient enough to sever the man's hands and head from his body. There hadn't been enough time to blink let alone react and though he deserved no such mercy the killing blow was as painless as it was quick. "Finish the rest of 'em, I'll check on the merchants!" Asahi called out to his mission partner who he assumed would be more than happy to oblige. There were only five bandits left and only a couple had the resolve to try and run away before stopping in front of the electric fence; the others in their frightened state were either frozen in fear or fell to the ground.

The young Kyokujitsu could have helped out, sure, but for everyone's sake he wanted to let Zakku get as much of the murderous intent out of his system as possible so he'd have no problems behaving back in the village for a while, or at least they could only hope.

The Newest Toys
Zakku smiled.  "Gladly."  His blade crackled and popped as he slowly turned.   His green eyes moved with a sharp precision and locked onto the first of the men.  "I've been looking forward to finally using this."  With a flick of his wrist the lightning blade retracted into his hand.  Not only had he been practicing with his speed he'd developed a new technique.  

Weaving the four handsigns quickly he reached into his pack grabbing three nails from his pack and threw them at  at the feet of the three men who had stayed frozen in fear.  Standing with his hands hovering just out of reach of each other Zakku took in the moment.  The fear, the anticipation.  It was all wonderful and he was soaking it in.  "Sunagakures shinobi isn't a force to look down on.  Even our weakest Genin could have caused you to collapse so quickly.  Ponder that as you lick your wounds back at the hole you came from.  If you can make it there."  Placing his hands together he completed the last handsign.  The nails began to glow a brilliant blue.  "Roaming Chaos." 

Five cracks would sound as the nails released the lightning chakra that had been stored inside.  Zakku turned to the last two the dark nature had returned to his eyes.  "You two won't get the chance."  Unleashing his kunai he ran at the the last pair standing and jam a pair of kunai into their stomachs.

Roaming Chaos
Weaving the necessary Hand Signs (Tiger, Ox, Monkey, Serpent) Zakku grabs his chakra reactive nails and infuses his chakra with them. After being planted or thrown they become mines infused with Chakra (up to six are thrown in one rotation). At any moment as long as Zakku is within 75 meters he can detonate his nails with a single hand seal (Tiger). The chakra is explosively released in a 15 yard radius from each nail. The effects of the explosion can leave victims with burns and paralyzed.

In hindsight, Asahi should have waited until Zakku finished taking care of the bandits before going to check on the rest of the merchants as he didn't want them witnessing the brutality of shinobi life -and Zakku in particular- if they didn't have to, but time was of the essence and the chunin needed to assess the condition that they were in just in case someone was injured. A dead merchant was no good to these guys or their bosses he imagined but that didn't mean some roughhousing hadn't taken place during the trip, especially when they were initially ambushed.

Wagon by wagon the Kyokujitsu would check on and free the captive merchants as the screams of soon to be dead bandits filled the air for moments at a time. A couple attempted to flee but had their path blocked by the still buzzing electric fence that had been set earlier, and after a bit the only sound was that of the desert wind whistling through the area. "Alright, looks like they're all accounted for." Asahi would speak to himself as he exited the last wagon to finally see the carnage the blue haired chunin had left in his wake. There was no use in trying to move the bodies as either the sands would cover them up or the various creatures that called this place home would have their way.

"Oi Zakku, we're good. Drop the fence so we can get moving." He'd call out to his mission partner before rounding up the merchants and getting everything situated for the trek back to Roran. "We'll hitch a ride back to Roran to make sure they make it back safely then we'll report back to the village." Asahi would add as the caravan prepared to move out. They had dealt with mystery, murder and rescue during this ordeal and used enough smarts to prevent losing anyone which was a job well done in Asahi's book.
