[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]A jog! Perfect! Shiori loved doing more physical exercises and a job was certainly a nice workout. While not as strenuous as some of his more physical activities the ability to have a time where he can stretch his legs was always appreciated. So of course he would be dressed for the occasion, but not exactly as bulky looking as most rainwear he owned. He would wear athletic wear so most of his outfit was form-fitting and it would show off his physique a bit more than expected for the layers he was wearing. It didn't matter to him though as it meant he was protected from the elements while still being able to have full flexibility of his body. No restrictions whatsoever which was just how Shiori liked it.

He would be wearing a backpack with him with all the essentials to train. Well, essentials that his parents told him to bring along with food rations, and water. If Shiori had done it himself he would have had the bare necessities and nothing more. He would have been willing to just live off the land and make it a survival challenge for himself if given the chance. Thankfully his parents were smart enough and kept him in line when he was making silly mistakes.

When he arrived at his desired location he simply smiled at the cloudy sky. It was perfect weather to test out his limit and be the best shinobi he could be. He may just be an academy student right now, but if he worked hard enough he believed he could turn out to be a valuable asset to his village. He would begin his jog and would wave at a few other people as he passed them giving them a nice greeting if they were friendly enough to wave back.

Habiki had been training quite a lot lately. Gaining more knowledge in Fuinjutsu especially. Today, however, was one of his few relaxing days. No scheduled training for the academy, no mentor to teach him Fuinjutsu, no sister to help him practice. Naturally, the boy was fairly bored. As a result, he went out for a simple walk around the block. He wore his usual clothes: the jacket with a spider-web, shoes that matched, the only difference was his shorts were athletic as the weather was pretty nice out today. Of course, he had to leave a note letting his family know where he'd gone, not that his father would worry about him. Once the note was written, he thought about using the stink Fuinjutsu he'd learned to mess with Yua but decided against it. Knowing his luck, his father would find it instead.

After his initial walk, he saw a boy who looked vaguely familiar. He looked to be about the same age, but quite a bit shorter than Habiki. The biggest thing that popped out to Habiki was his hair. It was crystal blue, matching his eyes perfectly. He wore athletic clothing and was sweating a little bit; he'd probably gone on a run or something. He also wore a backpack, likely filled with water or whatever he needed while he was out and about. Why did he seem so familiar though? Was he another student? Habiki couldn't really tell, but it bothered him enough not knowing the answer that he walked up to the boy. "Hey blue hair, I'm Habiki Susano, who are you?" He asked nonchalantly, as if the question wasn't bugging him.

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]After a bit of his jog, Shiori would begin to sweat a bit showing that his small workout was working. While cardio wasn't his main focus when it came to his workout routine he did know there were benefits to the exercise when he was giving his other muscles a day off to rest. So he would take a slight rest from his jog to pace himself and maybe take a sip of his water bottle before continuing, but he was stopped before he could even get to that point by another kid around his age.

Shiori had to suppress a laugh a bit when the other kid introduced himself. He gave off the impression he didn't know who he was which to some degree was fair since not everyone in the clan would know each other, but Shiori knew Hibiki. Maybe not personally, but at least from pictures from his parents. Smiling at the slightly taller boy he responded with, "Surprised you didn't already know, but Shiori Susano. Nice to meet you cousin." He would extend his hand out for a handshake to show off his friendly nature to his fellow clan member. It was always nice to meet a family member face to face especially if it was on friendly terms.

The boy seemed to find what he said... funny? But Habiki hadn't made any jokes. He mostly just wanted to find out why this boy seemed so familiar. There was a reason, apparently, since the boy was surprised Habiki didn't already know. His name was Shiori Susano. They were from the same clan. Cousins, in fact. Maybe Habiki had seen pictures of him when he and Yua were younger, that would explain the familiar appearance of the boy. That or he just had similar features to the rest of the Susano.

Regardless, the boy would extend his hand out in return, shaking his hand. "You look around my age too, do you go to the academy? Need any help with training anything?" The boy would ask, offering to aid him if needed. "Me and Yua, that is, my twin sister, are pretty close to graduating. So, I could help you with some of the jutsu if you want?" Then again, the boy had already been jogging, he didn't exactly want to interrupt him. "If you're not otherwise occupied, I mean." The boy would say with a smile. While he usually wasn't this nice after just meeting someone, this was another member of his clan. He couldn't be mean and then have him cry on his way home. Then his dad would find out and... no thanks.

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]Well, he didn't seem offended by him slightly teasing and laughing at him so that had to mean he was a good person. He even shook the boy's hand so which was, even more, positive so it was easy to see to Shiori that Habiki would be a good friend to know. Even if it didn't seem like he was the most observant of people in comparison to Shiori, that wasn't always a bad thing either. Though the fact the other boy asked if Shiori needed help training elevated him in Shiori's books for sure. Anyone willing to help him better himself was certainly someone he could trust!

"I'm always up for more training!" Shiori would say excitedly practically grinning from ear to ear. He loved having a training partner as it meant they could also turn it into a competition. Though he was certain Habiki was more talented than him and would wipe the floor with him if it was indeed a competition it still was fun to see how drastically different they were. That would just mean he would have a goal to set to improve upon. "Anything, in particular, you would like to teach? I'm good to learn just about anything!" Shiori would say pumping his arm up.

Shiori didn't seem like a horrible guy, unlike Yuju. That kid deserved any punishment that he got. He definitely seemed to like the idea of training though, so Habiki gave a quick "Follow me then." He didn't mean for it to be ominous, but it was probably fine. Habiki brought him to their clans training grounds, a simple area with practice dummies and kunai scattered on the ground. Most of them probably from him or Yua. "Do you know the rope escape technique? I could teach you that if you want?" Habiki would ask. It was one of the few jutsu he'd taught before. To his sister and, regrettably, Yuju. He shuffled through the storage of items while waiting for the boy to answer until he found what they would need: a rope!

"It's relatively simple, you use chakra to dislocate your joints or something like that. More importantly, you can't use it if an enemy is looking at you. Make sense?" He'd ask the boy while holding up the rope. It was a little strange that Habiki didn't remember the blue haired boy though. He usually had a good memory, especially when it came to his relatives. Then again, his parents liked to seclude them when they were younger. Maybe that was the reason. They also looked quite a bit different, but they were only cousins, so how did that work? These were all questions that were a bit too high-level thinking for Habiki, so he simply waved them off and waited for the boy's answer..

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]Shiori was super excited to be learning from his cousin who seemed like they might be a great teacher even if they were in a similar age group. So it went without saying he would follow his cousin with simply a gleeful, "Yes sir!" He would give his cousin a small salute as if he was his Jounin leader and he was a lowly Genin. Respect went a long way and he was going to give said respect to his cousin even if they were equals in rank.

Shiori would follow his cousin to the clan training grounds a place Shiori both knew about, but never actually went to. It's not that he didn't want to he just felt like he wasn't allowed to. This was mainly because he felt it was more reserved for those who had some of the clan abilities unlike him. So the fact they were here certainly made Shiori respect Habiki even more!

"I don't, but I'm willing to learn!" Shiori would say enthusiastically to his cousin when asked about the rope escape technique. Once the rope was found Habiki would begin telling Shiori about how the jutsu would work and how chakra would be used to dislocate his joints. "Wouldn't be just easier to do it yourself then," Shiori would question Habiki slightly confused at why one would need to waste precious chakra to do something they could do naturally. After all, Shiori had dislocated a few joints and bones before in his training exercises so this didn't seem like a hard thing to do.

Shiori was definitely a weird one. They were in the same age range, relatives, and they were both academy students. Yet, his cousin gave him a salute as if Habiki was superior to him in some way. Neither of them had proved that they were worthy of such respect. Sure, Habiki was teaching him an academy technique, but it wasn't like he knew much outside of that. "No need to be so formal, we're relatives and equals so it's not necessary, Shiori." Hopefully that'd be enough to get Shiori to do as he requested. Being formal just wasn't something he liked to do.

Once they arrived, Shiori answered the boy's question revealing that he didn't know the rope escape technique. It was one of the later techniques you learned at the academy, so it made sense. Shiori made a good point though, it was probably easier to just dislocate your joints and whatnot without chakra, plus you'd be reserving said chakra for when you needed it. "How should I know? I'm an academy student, same as you. My best guess would be that it's more covert or something along those lines. Plus, some people aren't used to dislocating their joints so the pain from that might make them reveal that their trying to escape." He wasn't really sure on his answer, but it was the best he could think of. "You ready to be tied up though?" He'd ask, holding the rope up.

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]Shiori was a little confused by Hibiki not accepting his salute. Was it wrong to act like this to someone who was teaching him something? "But you are teaching me," Shiori would say with a tinge of sadness in his voice. It just didn't feel right to him to not treat him like a superior even if it was for a short time while he taught him. Sure they were both academy students, but in his mind, he was still his teacher even if it was for a short time.

"Pain?" Shiori would tilt his head and ask, "What's that?" Shiori wasn't versed in the knowledge of this sensation. This might mostly be because of him never having been hurt before. He didn't get much time to think about it though when Habiki asked if he was ready to be tied up to which Shiori would nod enthusiastically and say, "Yes! Make it super tight!" He would put his hands behind his back and turn around and eagerly await for his cousin to tie up his arms so he could attempt to escape. As Habiki was doing this Shiori would ask, "How did you learn to do this technique?" The blue-haired boy was very curious if the training would be similar to how his cousin learned the technique.

"So what if I'm teaching you? We're basically the same age and we're both academy students. I'm not your superior or anything like that." Having seen the Ame Lord himself, Habiki was well aware of what superior looked like. He was just as aware that he wasn't superior to anyone in the academy, excluding Yuju. That kid was hopeless though, so anyone was superior to him.

Habiki gave a confused look at Shiori. He didn't know what pain was? They're upbringing must have been vastly different. "You'll find out eventually, hard to explain." Was the only response he could come up with. As per Shiori's request, Habiki tied him in the rope as tight as he could. Once he finished, he would respond to Shiori. "Just learned it in an extra class at the academy. Some things to know, you can't escape if an enemies watching you. Something about your brain not letting you as far as I'm aware. And a personal bit of advice, if you're gonna escape make sure you have a plan for after getting out of the rope. If the enemy catches you after you get out the first time, they'll put you in something harder to get out of and increase security. Well, unless they're stupid." He finished, waiting for Shiori's first attempt.

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]Shiori didn't get it, especially since the other boy was still teaching him so to him he was superior to him. Well, whatever there was no point in dwelling on that conversation so SHiroi would simply respond with "you're the boss!" Probably not helping the situation as he added a salute to this comment, but it was just his way of being polite to the boy who was being so kind to teach him this technique.

Habiki's next response about the pain thing was a bit ominous to Shiori. Should he be worried about that? It was honestly a bit spooky with how he said it, but he decided to push those worries away from the forefront of his mind because he figured his cousin wouldn't try to hurt him on purpose after all he seemed like such a good guy! So there wouldn't be any worry about this blue-haired boy anytime soon!

Habiki would then tie SHiroi up and then give a brief explanation of the jutsu and how it worked and this intrigued Shiroi. "Why do they seeing you mean you can't escape?" Shiroi would question innocently as he tried to wiggle his hands around in an attempt to escape. "I can understand them stopping you and making sure the rope is tight and all, but like what's physically stopping an individual from still doing it while they watch?" It was a bit of a psychological question that he didn't realize he was asking it just didn't make sense or process correctly in his brain why that was how it worked.

Habiki had a mental facepalm at the kid's words, he hated being looked up to, even if it was just during a lesson. Unless it was Yua, but they were siblings so that was different. They looked up to each other, it was an equal exchange. So far, this kid hadn't given him any reason to look up to him. They were cousins, but that was all there was to their relationship with each other so far.

Habiki couldn't believe the vastly different worlds the two of them came from. Shiori was so obviously coddled growing up, the guy didn't even know what pain was. Habiki had known the sensation of pain since his life had started. Both physical and mental. The boy had the urge to show Shiori pain, but it would likely get back to his father if he did, so he decided against doing it.

At the very least, Shiori asked fairly intelligent questions. Though, it probably should've been asked before he was tied up. "I'm not entirely sure the reason myself, but from what I understand your subconscious just prevents you from it while someone's watching you. Something to do with nerves. So it's less that you're being physically stopped, it's more like a mental block or something if I were to equivalate it to anything in particular." Habiki had no idea what some of the words he said meant, realistically. But he knew their general meaning. Hopefully he got the point across though. "Alright, if you don't have anymore questions regarding the actual application of the technique, I'll turn around." If there were no other questions, Habiki would do exactly what he said, turning around and waiting for Shiori to get out of the rope.

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]Shiori wasn't phased by Habiki not knowing the answer to his question since they were both just academy students. There would be holes in their knowledge sets and it's not like one needed to understand the physical laws of a jutsu to be able to use it. Didn't most people not know how their jutsu worked but were able to still perform them? So it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility for them to complete the rope escape jutsu without knowing why it worked. Habiki's answer though did make sense on a fundamental level and Shiori did not think these things through so he would accept it as fact for now.

Habiki would soon turn around and let Shiori attempt at doing the jutsu. Shiori waited for a few seconds before attempting, but he still wasn't sure how to. He said something about using chakra to dislocate your joints, but how does one do that? Grunting slightly Shiori would do his best to move the chakra into his wrists like he was told earlier. After a few minutes of struggling though he would find himself doing a bit too much and accidentally dislocating his tricep also in the process. Trying to hold back a bit of the pain that he hadn't felt before in his life he slipped his hand out of the rope with a bit of difficulty. He would then call to Habiki and ask, "Did I do this right?" the rope was not off one of his hands, but still free nonetheless.

Habiki observed as his relative did his best to untie himself from the rope. Well, as best he could. Seeing as how he had to turn around for the boy to do the jutsu, he could only really observe the before and after of him utilizing the jutsu. As he turned around he noticed that both were done correctly. But only for his hand. The rest of his body remained tied down. "As far as I can tell, you did it correctly. That being said I dont have the eyes of our instructors, or the experience. So, I'd say maybe have one of them observe you doing the jutsu as well once we're done, just to be sure." He stated, giving the boy a smile.

"So, you got anything else planned for today?" The boy would ask, not wanting to sit in the silence. "I think I might go get some ice cream or something, it's pretty hot today, after all." He'd turn back around, waiting for the boy to continue or give another statement that warranted him checking the boy's status. "Try not to use too much chakra, add it slowly until you can wiggle your hand out. If that makes sense." The boy finished, waiting for a response.

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]Shiori couldn't help but smile brightly to hear that he had done the jutsu correctly even if it was simply part of the jutsu since technically his hand was the only thing out and not his whole body. Yet Habiki brought up a good point that maybe an instructor would be a better option to tell him if he did do it successfully as he would then need to use that information when he was on his own to figure out if he did it right. Either way, it was a start, and that made Shiori happy!

Habiki would then ask what else Shiori had planned today and even made mention of ice cream! While not the best food for his physical training he could always go for a run afterward to burn off the calories of the ice cream. Besides it could be a celebratory treat for getting the jutsu down! "Nope not busy so I'm up for ice cream," Shiori would say in response seeing Habiki turn around to give him time to try the jutsu again. He would even give more instructions on chakra use and how to wiggle out of his binds which Shiori followed dutifully and before long he found the rope loose enough for him to free himself from his binds. Stretching his body now free from the rope clutches he would say, "Race you for that ice cream!" Without even waiting for a response from his cousin though he was off running as fast as he could to the destination of sweet desserts.
