With her growing penchant for learning barrier techniques, Uriko is quick to master it, and even manages to snag her sensei with the technique due to some quick thinking on her part.

Although she doesn't immediately get it, Uriko learned to improve her speed in short bursts; while this is not an outstanding feat as far as quick movement is concerned, it has created a solid base on which she can build combat responsiveness and evasion.

They come across a damaged cart, and discover that a bear was responsible for the abandoning of the vehicle. Uriko is unwilling to kill the bear, and manages to trap it for Tomomi to take control of the animal and lead it far away, while making sure it will not return the way it had come. They return and investigate the cart, discovering that it contains some questionable material. Taking the suspicious material along, they finish their patrol and return to Konoha.

They decide to focus on speed training, with Azarea serving as a sort of umpire in a modified 'Green Light, Red Light' game, and Uriko having to get to her before Miroru could touch the green-haired girl. Utiizing her natural speed, as well as a bit of deception, she managed to reach Azarea on the second try.

DESCRIPTION: Urikohime and Tomomi, having reported the findings from their patrol, immediately return to the site of the suspicious cart and set a trap for whoever it was that had been responsible for the possible contraband drug. Intent on catching said culprit in the act, literally, Uriko asked Tomomi to set a trap for the culprit, while she quickly returned to the village and retrieved the box in which the suspicious substances were being conveyed. While Tomomi distracted the culprit with a genjutsu, Uriko returned the box to the cart, and the two shinobi hid, allowing the man to retrieve the box and tracking him to the village wall, where two accomplices tried smuggling him over the wall via rope. The two shinobi apprehended them, and turned them over to two perimeter guards, to be handed to the Interrogations Unit in order to spill the beans about the purpose and origins of the suspicious drug.

On the way, they get ambushed by masked rogues eager to confiscate the scroll, but Miroru's utilization of the Kage Bunshin, as well as some persuasion from Uriko, deceive the rogues into assuming that at least one of the kunoichi is Jounin-level. Thus, they are allowed to pass, and deliver the scroll to a Hyuuga who seems unhappy about their success, but takes it in stride.
