Not before long Koume grew completely silent. No grunts of pain, no screams, just heavy phants as Kanoh proceeded to lessen the force of her gravitational pull little by little. The gentle touch on her back as well as the comforting words caused the teen to sob quietly as her head hung low. A mix between the excruciating aches and pain, as well as the emotional turmoil, Koume was probably at one of her lowest points, but the experience would be much more rewarding than anything she’d ever witnessed before. At least that's what she told herself to keep her spirits high.

The tiny human isn’t wrong, Koume, you did fine..

Rokubi spoke, offering the girl words of praise knowing they were likely to fall upon deaf ears. Once Kanoh lowered all restrictions in place, the slug retracted all of the power that it had allowed, which in turn caused the girl to faint as the pain hit her again at 100% without any assistance from the bijuu’s chakra. Koume collapsed, falling forward a bit before the Kusa lord wrapped an arm around the young kunoichi. Kanoh would feel the sleeping teen’s heartbeat as she remained in her arms, the pace was extremely fast before it gradually returned to normal. It was clear that the girl had been pushed to the brink and was holding on by a thread.

After a moment, the Rokubi grew a tad bit concerned, even though they themself weren’t in any danger - seeing Koume in such a state was hard to see and for the first time in a while, the six tails felt remorseful even if just a bit. Perhaps she was starting to grow on the slug, but the bijuu had a few words for the new Kusa lord.

Take care of her. Or else next time I might not be as merciful…

If only the slug could relay that message.

The older woman let out a steady sigh. What she'd done here today would no doubt help Koume develop as a kunoichi and a bijuu host both. But... she still felt a bit uneasy. Had she gone too far? Only time would tell.

For now she resigned to hoisting the girl's weight up into her arms, straightening out and turning back toward the entrance of the tent. Behind her, the seals on each post faded until their surface was smooth once more. They'd made a bit of a mess, sure, but it wasn't much worse than when they'd arrived; most of the damage was done to Koume herself.

Kanoh looked down at the girl in her arms, peaceful in her much needed rest. It was a hilarious image, given the demon that lurked within her. The woman knew that within the innocent girl in her arms, she held a monster. A beast that wanted more than anything to be free of its prison and kill the both of them. Or, well she was pretty sure. She never had the pleasure of meeting Saiken herself, nor was she especially eager to for what it could mean.

With a quick adjustment of her weight, Kanoh steadied her charge and headed back out into the training yards. She would escort Koume to the medical tent to tend to any immediate wounds and then, whether she woke from her current state or not, would walk her back to her dorm. She'd need plenty of sleep to recover from these wounds if she wanted to continue training this week.

The next time Koume left her assigned room, she'd find a prepared basket of healthy food and vitamin rich drinks waiting for her. Attached to its surface, a card with a messy handwriting in cute peach hue, whoever wrote it having foolishly waited until after they stuck it on the basket to write their scrawl. "Keep it up! Next time I won't go so easy on you~ <3”
