Scoffing slightly as the enemy shinobi retreated, Genbu remained steady as possible as one of his arms came around Toki-san, not touching her but ready to grab her should the situation become more dire even as Yama-jii was pulled rapidly back after the successful attack on the opposing vessel. The bearded puppet was practically reeled back with a few additional gestures from the puppeteer, tail flicking casually as it crouched near Genbu ready to react should it be needed, but otherwise settling around the duo along with the set of Goro-chi and Kumo-baa, the full arsenal of puppets waiting cautiously in case they were needed.

They would have to deal with the survivor sooner rather than later, but there was something more important that needed to be done first, survive the tornadoes that were bearing down on them. As the boat suddenly began to pick up speed as a result of Kizumi's actions, Genbu recalled the Goro-chi to their scroll, one hand coming to rest on Toki-san as Kumo-baa's arms began extending out around them, the clacking panels emerging and wrapping around the duo in a protective dome meant to keep the client safe in this moment of immense danger.

"Do not fear, we will ensure your safety" he rumbled calmly even as the deck beneath them shuddered with the forces being put upon the ship. It was playing havoc on the tremorsense from his feet, not being connected to the earth meant it wasn't actually functional, but the shaking vibrations sent unpleasant sensations up the shinobi's spine. Still, Genbu trusted in the Raikage, and so simply waited stuck to the deck as Kizumi tried to thread the needle.

Puppet Prodigy
While young, Eri is what would be considered a prodigy in the control and use of puppets. Her ability to control her puppets is so fine that there is barely any time delay between her movements and those of her puppets. They dance fluidly across the battlefield at the twitch of her fingers, resembling the natural movements of living beings rather than the more mechanical actions puppets usually make.

A puppeteer must be quick to respond to changing circumstances in battle, and Eri is faster than most at reacting to things. Through her training she has developed excellent dodging and response capabilities, giving her a greater reaction time than your average shinobi.

DESCRIPTION:
The fundamental and most used technique of the style, Kugutsu no Jutsu allows a puppeteer the ability to use puppets in battle. While the degree in skill determines the number of puppets that can be controlled, for starters the user can control only one. By making near invisible strings of chakra from each of their ten fingertips and attaching them to their puppets they are able to control the puppet from various distances. However there is a delay between the puppeteers orders and the puppets movements, meaning puppet movement will not be instantaneous, and the response time increases based on distance.

It was taking all of Kizumi’s focus and a large amount of her chakra to keep the momentum of her tidal-wave going; save for minor adjustments to the wheel here and there with her knee to keep the ship sailing straight, she was rock-solid, manipulating the flow of the ocean itself to bring the ship safely through the storm. Sweat and seawater trickled down the sides of her face and the back of her neck. The ship slipped between the twin tornadoes; the winds buffeted everything on deck, Genbu-san, Kumo-baa, and the crew members alike. The puppets’ anchorage and protection kept Toki-san from being blown about by the tempest, and she clung fiercely to Genbu-san’s arm, her fear heightened enough that she seemed not to notice the oddly tough, rigid texture of his arm beneath his clothes. "Unfurl the headsail, now!” Kizumi shouted, bellowing to make herself heard over the cacophony of wind and water. One of the crew, bless him, scurried to obey, slip-sliding over the deck and yanking on the jib until the headsail ballooned out and caught the wind of the twin tornadoes that were now flanking the back half of the ship, giving it the last boost of speed it needed to propel itself forward and out of danger. The tornadoes clipped the rear of the ship—the sound of splintering wood was deafening, but the damage was ultimately superficial, with the worst of it occurring along the sides of the deck and railing. Just in case, Kizumi maintained the tidal wave technique, wanting to get the ship completely out of dangerous waters before she called the coast clear. The sole survivor of the enemy’s side had not yet surfaced—if Genbu-san went to investigate below deck, he would find the dual-wielder in the process of placing explosive tags at strategic points around the belly of the ship, with his goal imminently clear: blow the ship sky-high, and somehow make his escape in the process.

DESCRIPTION:
Requiring a large amount of suiton chakra channeled to the user rope, they'll create a tidal wave beneath either a ship or large summon, then through the direction they point the trident guide this tidal waves direction. This is best used to enhance movement and though it carries force, it really doesn't work well as an offensive technique of it's own.

Genbu-san

The moment that the ship began to settle enough that the puppeteer could consider it safe, Kumo-baa's arms began to unlock enough for Genbu himself to step out, glancing at the situation. "You must stay with Kizumi-sama for a moment, there is one last pest to account for," the deep rumbling voice told their client, Kumo-baa gently scooping her up and carrying her to the Raikage with as much care and delicacy that could be given by such a skilled kugutsu no jutsu user.

At the same time, Genbu began his descent into the bowels of the ship accompanied by Yama-jii, the puppet casually wrapped around his body like an elderly backpack, ready to spring forward at a moment's notice. It wouldn't take long for him to find his target, clearly attempting to sabotage the ship before escaping, not that Genbu would allow that. A twitch of fingers had Yama-jii moving, the puppet leaping towards the shinobi at high speed, clicking from within its hunched back the only indication of the poison foundry mechanism within coming to work.

Lashing claws would aim to strike out at the enemy, the pale blue poison of Nami no Konsui intending to catch the Uzushio-nin off guard and render him more... pliant. At the same time, Genbi had gathered numerous chakra strings right at the tips of those same claws, hoping to catch the other shinobi within Chakra String Throw and thus suitably immobilise him before he knew what was happening. The focus would be on his arms and hands, to avoid setting off the explosive tags that had already been laid.
