Suzaku was outside of Kumogakure, quite possibly a needed change of pace and environment considering the funk he'd been in since his last adventure in Kuwana. He'd hated it there, Tsuchi no Kuni, the land of Earth. Feeling almost trapped underground, it was there he learned he REALLY didn't like enclosed spaces, the tunnels he'd traveled in for the exams feeling constantly closing and strangling. Kumogakure was almost the exact opposite, instead of being below the mountains they were atop it, touching the sky like the birds the boy had a unbreakable connection too. And he felt similarly to the rest of Kaminari no Kuni, though he had to admit that being high up was still his preference. But the running rivers on ground level were nice, calming, something the regularly anxious boy needed in his life. But unfortunately, he couldn't sit down and relax for he was on a mission.

Thered been a jailbreak nearby, and he was to hunt down one of the prisoners. Sora-sensei himself had given his blessing, though he might not have if Suzaku had been fully honest with him. Because right now, Suzaku was was flying solo, something Sora-sensei would never have agreed to for such a dangerous mission. The young boy had...omitted certain details that might have made his kind, and rightfully concerned sensei believe that it was a three man mission and he'd be bringing his teammates. And to Suzaku's credit, he hadn't lied per se, there were three of them here, and they were definitely a team. A caw echoed throughout the riverbed, Suzaku turning to see his two companions, Ja and Dō perched on a tree. He wasn't alone, he rarely was.

The boy would kneel, feeling the cold water rush through his hand. He had a lot of regrets about how the last exams went, but perhaps one the biggest one was how he'd relied on Azarea. There hadn't been a good reason for that, the first part of the exam had had an open field, his strong suit, and the girl he'd gone with had actively used underground tunnels, which he'd hated with a passion. But he'd gone along with it, she'd been his crutch, and he lost because of it. So he needed to know he could do things alone, he wanted to prove he could to himself, he was the Outai heir of the Kyuumu and he was proud of that,so he truely felt like he had to do this to show that he COULD.

Of course almost anyone with an ounce of maturity would realize he was taking a big risk for no reason than a temper tantrum, but the boy wasn't exactly mature. But he had at least picked a mission to his strengths, his vision far longer than most, and able to see even the slightest of movement clearly, along with his literal birds eye view. And so he continued, standing up as he pointed forward and his birds took flight, looking down from the sky as Suzaku tried to find the trail, having a general direction but not much more as of right now.

Kyou ran.

There was no rhyme or reason to his running, no plan, no thoughts beyond escape; beyond the sweet smell of fresh air, the ground beneath his bare feet, the thrilling numbness to his muscles as he finally, finally escaped that hellhole of a prison he’d been sent to. He wasn’t a ninja, he wasn’t a hunter, hell, he was barely even a fighter, though he had a few wins to his name in the underground rings. His trail was plain and easy to follow, but he didn’t care- he was free, free of that horrid place and the vicious criminals in it, and he was never going back.

It had taken him six months to open a hole through his cell wall, six months of desperately clawing at the mortar with whatever he could find, but he’d done it, and now that he was free… well. There were some debts he needed to pay. One in particular, actually. But first, he had to make sure he got away. And so the brown-haired man ran, his leanly muscular limbs taking him across a stream as he pounded the dirt, breathing steady, oh so very glad he had kept up his training while locked up, even if the food hadn’t been quite enough to justify it.

I’m coming for you, Saya. Daddy hasn’t forgotten, I swear.

A caw would echo throughout the waterbed, to most it would more likely than not be meaningless and background noise, a backdrop of nature and a reminder of the wildlife around them. To the amber eyed however, it was a direct call, a cry of attention for him, as Dō had spotted something. And the boy would wander over, finding both his birds on the ground, huddled by their find. You're lucky I was here to find this. And unlucky you're stuck walking on the ground like monkeys, leaving footprints everywhere you go. If only you could fly without leaving a trace, like us. To most, this would be a strange sight, two identical looking crows each chittering and clacking their beaks as if talking. And to the young boy, they were, as he could not only tell them apart as easily as he could two different people, but he was able to understand every single word they said as well. His two familiars, Dō, the one who had found the tracks, and Ja, the one making the...additional commentary.

But the boy was more concerned with their findings then judging his human legs, though he'd quickly see why they were making fun of his need to walk when he approached them. Beyond the fact they were loud mouthed jerks anyways. And that's because there were footprints, multiple, left in the mud and leading away from the prison. Though while Suzaku definitely leaned towards scouting as a skillet, he wasn't actually knowledgeable or experienced enough to really be able to tell much more from the tracks other than where the person was going, though luckily for the young teen the person who had left these tracks didn't look like they were even trying to cover them up. Hopefully the rest of the mission would be just as easy and straight-forward.

Dō would fly up on the boys shoulder. Well? He wanted a treat, a reward for his find, but the teen literally brushed him off, waving him off his shoulder. We can all get something to eat after the mission. And if you're so good at tracking, how about going out and finding the person making these tracks? And with that he'd send his one crow off, though not without getting cursed at the entire time as the befouled bird flew off to find whoever had left these tracks. While it seem cold and indicative of the boys perturbed mindset, his relationship with his two companions were perhaps the only relationship mostly unchanged since the exams, the teen having learned he had to be firm with these two or else they'd take advantage of him. And they often took advantage of him despite his attempts, to the point it could be very hard to tell who was in charge of who at times. But when it counted they were pretty dependable, and the boy trusted his bird to be able to find the person, though he would also follow the tracks as well, a two-pronged approach as the chase began.

Kyou kept running.

Despite the difficult terrain, he was making good time, and had covered several miles in the last hour; at least three, maybe four, though he had no real way to know. Slowing down by a small stream, the man took in several slow, deep breaths, allowing himself a slight break as he glanced behind him, wondering if, or maybe when, the prison would send someone after him. Prisoners escaped a fair bit more often than most people expected, but they rarely ever returned- and those that did usually did so half dead or maimed beyond repair. That was what happened when civilians went up against Shionbi, after all.

He had a plan to avoid that particular pitfall, though. Hopefully.

Running a hand through his brown hair, the thirty-year old man quietly waded into the stream, flinging the cooling water onto his limbs before he shook off the excess and jogged out, looking for any signs behind him that someone might be coming. He could see a few birds in the distance, slowly coming closer, but they were a ways off- and while he was remarkably informed for a civilian, he had no idea that Shinobi could utilize animals as familiars, so the man paid them no mind, taking off further into the wilds, intent on putting as much distance between him and the prison as he could before nightfall.

The teen followed the footprints before him, treating this more like a marathon than a race, not trying to wear himself out chasing a target that he wasn't sure just how far ahead they were. And with his birds now gone, the fact he was truely alone on a mission like this was setting in, and keeping him a little nervous. He didn't want to just run until he was exhausted, where he might have to fight this person he was chasing. It didn't help his apprehensiveness that he didn't really have much information on this person other than they were a civilian prisoner, he'd be lying if the idea of having to fight some heavyweight fighter while barely able to stand after running the entire day wasn't at least partly intimidating. Another consequence of having chosen to go on this mission alone, though his pace would still likely beat most civilians even at his current slowed pace thanks to the orange haired boy's ninja training.

And while his progress might be slow and methodical, his "eyes in the sky" were making much better progress, and with a much better view as they soared high above the ground, a vantage point that allowed the two birds to see far ahead at the cost of being seen. But what did that matter, they were just two normal crows after all. Two crows that caught the attention of their target, blissfully unaware of their purpose, and a victim of the common adage, 'If you can see them, they can see you.' And if they did indeed see the man in the river, they would respond accordingly. While they might be too far away to catch up with him, the two birds could do something that both the man on the run and his young birds handler would hear, them screaming at the top of their lungs as they flew in a circle. And while it might be random caws to the man retreating into the forest, to the boy the words meaning would be clear as if it were spoken by a human. He's here. And that would get him running.

Though even if the man had been too far away for the young teens birds to spot, following the footprints would still lead him to the same spot, albeit probably not in as good of time. The foot of the forest, the man having retreated into the wilds. And it was in these wilds the black wearing teen would finally take advantage of the fact that he was indeed a ninja. A ninja who could summon and control birds with a single breath. He would make a bird call into the wilds before him, indistinguishable from any other bird call. But for the first five birds who'd hear it, it would be a sirens call, unignorable, and a demand for them to come to him. And so they would, and the young teens flock would go from two to however many responded, and he would send them out into the forest. And if his feathered companions had indeed spotted the man beforehand then this flock now had another advantage, a description, with Dō being particularly good at remembering features, which the boy would use to get as many details as he could before going on the hunt.

TECHNIQUES:

NAME: Meijiru [Command]
RANK: E
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
DESCRIPTION:
Through the use of chakra and Murder Speech a member from the Kyuumu clan can give a command to any bird, and the bird must follow the order down to the letter. Unlike higher rank jutsu that affect a large number of birds, this jutsu can only affect 5 birds at most. That makes this jutsu slightly less useful in combat, but it can be used for some low level scouting, or to offer a distraction if the opponent isn't expecting to be attacked by some birds.

It didn’t seem like anyone was following him.

Kyou’s pace shifted as he made his way through the forest, slowed by the undergrowth and his distinct lack of shoes (or even socks) but not stopped, his legs burning with every step, breath coming in a slow, steady rhythm that kept his heartbeat low and strong. Still, the man didn’t have unlimited stamina, and after several hours of running he had to stop, breathing heavily as he sipped from the stream that he had been following. The sun hung lower in the sky now, much lower, but it wasn’t yet low enough to be evening. Another hour or two, perhaps.

Need to find something to eat. Make a fire. It was a risk, but he wasn’t about to try surviving in the woods like this without some kind of warmth. It could get cold at night, and there were wolves to worry about. So it was that the man got to work making camp, breaking branches and gathering leaves to get both a shelter built and a fire started, utterly unaware of the birds that had been looking for him overhead… the very birds who had spotted him and circled back to their master with his exact location.

The hunt, it seemed, was on.

Suzaku's stamina was nothing spectacular, especially when compared to other ninja, which is exactly why he was so grateful that he'd been playing the long term game. Preserving his strength for the big confrontation with this runaway inmate. Yet, there was an something gnawing at him, this realization that the person he'd been chasing had been running nonstop. At first, the scraggly haired teen believed this to be to his advantage, that he'd be refreshed and facing an exhausted civilian, someone with no military training, no trainjng in Chakra usage. He had no reason to worry in a direct confrontation, it was one sided for certain. And yet, this man had managed to run nonstop, for hours since his escape, through this forest, across the river.

And that gnawing at the back of the teens head wondered just what else he could do. But the orange haired boy shook his head in response, he was the heir to his clan, a ninja, he wasn't going to lose to some random prisoner. And with that attitude of what some might call arrogance, his two companions returned with good news. The search was over, the showdown was about to begin.

But now that the time had come, Suzaku found himself wondering. Just how should he approach this, as he made his way to where his target was hiding. Should he even bother trying to take him in, or should he just return with a corpse. Truthfully this line of thought made the meek boy a little uncomfortable, while his clan was insular and aloof, the boy wasn't some cold blooded killer. But as he thought of what his father would do, he couldn't help but think of his branch's unofficial motto with regards these types of things. "A consumed corpse speaks naught." Interacting with the outside world was good, but allowing outside threats to exist was not, and it was better to deal with them proactively than reactively.

But...Was this man even a threat? He wasn't an enemy ninja, he wasn't a missing-nin traitor. He wasn't even someone related to the Ninja world. So, the young heir decided to do things differently, do them his way. Which was the whole point of him doing this alone after all, wasn't it? Proving he could do this mission alone, on his own, his way instead of just following someone's lead like he had in the Chuunin exams. And it wasn't like he was turning his back on his branch's beliefs, if this were a ninja or something, that would be different. But it was just a random prisoner, and how much of a threat could a civilian really pose?

So when he approached the destination, his hunting grounds where his prey lied, the orange haired teen let out another caw, echoing through the forest Judy like before, so close to his target, eerie sounding. And it only got more eerie when the five birds from before would surround Kyou, the teens flock now serving returning with a simple order: Surround him. And then the teen would himself confront the man, on his shoulders Ja and Dō, the two crows who had constantly been in the background of his escape, and if Kyou was sharp enough perhaps putting all the pieces in place on how he was tracked so easily.

And as the teen finally saw his target with his own eyes for the first time he felt more confident about his decision to confront him like this. This innocuous looking man with no shoes, worn clothes, and huddled by a fire. This civilian. It's over. The boy said, definitively, with almost uncharacteristic confidence. But, there was a rwason for his confidence, for after all it was over, wasn't it?

Kyou had known they would come for him, had known it from the moment he had clawed his way free of his cell, knew it every step of his run through the woods, knew it in his bones that, somehow, someway, a Shinobi would find him when least expected it. So when he heard the echoing caws of a quintet ravens, he knew his time was up- and when they birds came, crowing their beaks as they encircled him, clearly trying to trap him in for their master, he moved. His left hand flashed forward, grabbing a thick stick he’d positioned on the outside of the fire and whipping it across his body as he came to his feet, sending an arc of sparks and flame at the circling birds, which scattered, afraid of the heat.

"Like hell it is.” He spat, hefting the burning stick as he turned to face the kid- and paused, if only for a moment. Because he was just that. A kid. Barely past 16 by the looks of him, if that. Could he do this? Could he really hurt some child, all for a slim chance of freedom that likely wouldn’t matter? Almost, almost he dropped the stick, his grip loosening as he weighed what to do, the conflict clear on his face… until he remembered why he was doing this. For Saya.

So, with a sigh, Kyou looked down, as if to comply with the boy’s obvious desire for surrender- and threw the burning stick right at his face, charging behind it to, hopefully, catch the young Shinobi off-guard with a swift, powerful shot to his kidney. If it hit, he’d likely fold the poor boy in half… but he’d live, and that was what mattered.

The flaming makeshift weapon ended up being to much for his newly formed flock to handle, and the boy would instinctively reach out towards the fleeing birds as he watched his conscripted flock break away, surprise on his face. But when he looked back towards the man, the civilian, that surprise would turn to mild annoyance, turning to the man as his annoyance and disapproval audibly rumbled in his throat, like an angry purr. Hrmmmmm... As the man was realizing the age of his pursuer, the teen was showing a less than mature handling of the setback and his blatant defiance.

Thankfully, there would still be two birds remaining, his two companion birds much better trained, and not so easily intimidated to the point of fleeing. And just what were you expecting exactly? Using such low bred birds! Exactly! If they were smart they would allow themselves to be captured! Have access to all the delicacies they can eat, given to them! On his shoulders his two birds cawed and chided, crowd and beaks chittering in a language only the teen could understand. And his response would be another annoyed purr. Hrmmmmm.......

And the reason for this slight tomfoolery in a confrontation was that it still didn't feel too serious. Too dangerous. After all, his two companions were right, the birds that had flown away were untrained at the end of the day. Not like Ja and Do. Not like him. They would've made things easier, but they weren't needed, not to capture a civilian. Which is why he didn't think much of it when it looked like the man was giving up, it just seemed like the natural response. Looks like it is....L-Like hell, I mean...Umm... As the boy tried to comment on the man's earlier defiance suddenly he found himself stumbling over his own words, creating a jumbled mess that led to him stuttering in an awkward fashion, trying to salvage his authority while taking a step towards the ragged man. Then a torch was thrown in his face.

He'd see the movements before it happened, the windup of the arm, him shifting his weight, all the leadup to the man throwing his flaming stick directly at the fire haired boy. Able to watch it all as if in slow motion thanks to his visual acuity. And the boy would react there'd be some lag but he at least wasn't getting too caught off guard as he tried to sidestep the torch, the light glimmering off his amber eyes, and bird like pupils. However, he'd still be looking at the torch if he managed to dodge it and not the man, at least until a caw of warning would ring in his ears, and his head would shoot back to see the prisoner almost on top of him. Fast. It was an exclamation of surprise, of the obvious, the tingling worry in the back of his mind from before now feeling vindicated. However, Ja and Dō would fly out to meet the man, pecking and clawing his face on an attempt to help throw off the attack. And the scraggly haired teen would follow up with another caw echoing throughout the area, causing them to clone and go from two to four birds, rebuilding the boys flock. And if it worked, the teen would use the distraction to grab the man's extended arm and try to break it.

-Marge groaning sound here as his flock disperses
-His two pet birbs brag about being slaves, spoiled pets
-It still doesn't feel real yet, the danger of an escaped civilian, to the point Suzaku buys his giving up act
-Does NOT pull off a cool one liner, and gets a flame to the face for trying. Uses Enhanced Perception to attempt to dodge and sidestep the torch
-Gets alerted to him charging as he watches the torch by one birbs, and both fly out to mob Kyou's face with their Large Beak SA
-Suzaku uses Murder of Crows to create two more clones of them, and tries to dodge the punch in chaos, and then break his arm if successful

TECHNIQUES:

NAME: Karasu no mure kakure [Hiding in a Murder of Crows]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium (Very Low drain to maintain)
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
DESCRIPTION:
Using nothing but murder speech, a member of the Kyuumu clan can normally talk to and command birds individually; however, by using some chakra and a large flock of birds, the user can call an incredibly large number of birds to their current location. While this jutsu is being used the birds are cloned continuously, making them almost impossible to get rid of completely. While some of the birds may end up attacking the enemy and causing minor damage, the primary function of this jutsu is to obscure the vision of the enemy.

Individuals that are trained to hide amongst the murder of birds created by this jutsu are just as difficult to find as a Kirigakure shinobi trained to hide in mist. Unlike the Hidden Mist jutsu however, the birds will caw and alert the Kyuumu of the enemy's exact location within the flock, giving the user of this jutsu a unique advantage over their opponents.

Kyou had no idea how the kid dodged the torch so easily, but it didn’t matter; that had simply been the distraction, the means to get close and fold the kid in half with a punch. It didn’t matter that the kid sicced his birds on him, didn’t matter that they multiplied around him, clawing and pecking at his face in an attempt to distract him. He kept going, the image of Saya burned in his mind as her closed the distance, swung with perfect form…

And watched as the boy dodged him. Again.

But then, as luck would have it, the young Kumo-nin made a mistake; he tried to grapple a much older, much stronger man. Kyou didn’t hesitate, acting on instinct as he turned the boy’s attempt at grabbing his arm around, seizing Suzaku’s wrist in his left hand and yanking him forward, the birds squawking as their master came into the circle. His right foot shot out in a quick snap-kick against the boy’s shin, the heel of his foot impacting against it with a sickening squick of snapped bone even as he slammed the same foot down between the boy’s legs, twisting his captured arm around with all his strength before slamming a chopping hand down against the elbow, bending his entire upper arm in the wrong direction.

Kyou wasn’t done though and, in a flurry of motion, he let go of the boy’s wrist, allowing his arm to flop about, and snapped his right hand into his chest, grabbing him by his shirt before hefting him up over his shoulder… and then slamming the poor Kumo-nin into the ground, headfirst, with enough force to crack every tooth and knock him out cold. And all the while he remembered his daughter, whom he loved… and would do anything for.

Even kill.

Suzaku didn't know what was driving the man, didn't know his backstory. Didn't know what this man was fighting for, and that would end up being one of his biggest more costly than he could've imagined. The man managed to fight past the four crows mobbing his face, biting and clawing flesh, surprising the teen. This man hadn't even tried to shoo them away, protect his eyes or focus on anything but him, and his attack. It was as impressive as it was intimidating, but in the end the man's willpower, his endurance wasn't enough to overpower the boys natural abilities as a ninja, his ability to see things in slow motion. And as he dodged the punch with relative ease even when this ragged man had gotten so close, the naive bit really did think it was over. That he'd simply shatter his elbow and the man would come along, with a broken arm but alive. And then the man broke out of his grasp, and the orange haired boy found himself being pulled forward.

The screams from his birds at this turnabout weren't real words, simply a mix of curses and shouts of surprise all mixing together, only getting more raucuous when they cloned once more, going from four to six. And if he'd had a little but more time maybe that'd been the push he needed, enough to finally break this man's iron will when it came to being mobbed by his flock. But just like his first flock of conscripted birds, the man would break this flock as well, and the young teens leg with a stomp. The crow clones would disappear, the jutsu broken as Suzaku lost concentration. But it wouldn't get quieter, the squawking and caws from before replaced by the boys scream of pain. AAAAAGHHHHHHHH!!

The boys vision, his perfect vision, blurred. Pain soared through his body, and suddenly he couldn't quite hold his weight. His two companions would shout louder now, caws echoing throughout the forest. And in an ironic turn of events, the young teen would be screaming over them for once, when the karate chop broke his elbow as his arm was twisted almost out of its socket. The chop easily shattered it, and suddenly two of limbs were useless. It was a mix of hyperventilation and sobs escaping the teens mouth, and for a moment he'd look like a broken kid rather than a ninja. But his familiars would break that illusion, pecking at the man's eyes as he picked up the broken teen. But adrenaline would help with that, as he realized something. He really might die here.

And so, before the man would finish his slam, would truly break him, and with adrenaline coursing through the boy would use one final gambit. He would surround his working arm with fuuton Chakra, making it like a blade. And then Suzaku would thrust it forward in his last ditch attack, attempting to stab through the man's abdomen, angled upwards to pierce through his heart. Then he'd slash through, trying to cut through the flesh, the wind on his arm preventing any blood from soaking it as he held it across his side. The teen finding himself in a battle for stakes far higher than he'd expected. Or wanted.

-Dodging this Kung Fu Terminator, so far so good
-Suzaku's flock goes from four to six as the copying jutsu continues, then turns back to two when he drops the jutsu when his leg is broken. Oof
-Arm broken too. Double oof.
-For a moment, Suzaku just looks like a regular, crying kid. Definitely not trying cause any guilt. No sir
-Ja and Dō actively peck at the man's eyes as Suzaku realizes he might die and adrenaline surges.
-Uses Wind Talon to try and pierce Kyou's heart when Kyou picks him up, then follows through with a horizontal slash while his arm is still inside, and the battle
-Isn't sure how the stakes got so high so fast. I refuse to take blame for it

TECHNIQUES:
NAME: Fūton: Teori Kazetsume [Wind Release: Hand Weaving Wind Talon]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low, Very Low [Continuous]
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fūton
DESCRIPTION:
By enveloping their hands and and forearms in wind chakra Kyuumu clan members are capable of creating a cutting edge and piercing tip onto these limbs. When release the wind chakra instead of allowing it to flow everywhere they initially create it in the center of the palm and back and allow it to move towards the edges forcing the wind to contact the other side's wind and create the desired edge; making what almost feels like a dense water like film on the effected parts. This edge is capable of cutting into wood and flesh or chipping bone assuming the added momentum of the users thrust or slicing motion though objects such as stone or denser are beyond it. This technique was designed to grant Kyuumu members a hidden weapon when they had none and became quite useful for hidden attacks as the 'film' created by the wind prevents liquids, such as blood, from making contact with the effected parts.

Kyou heard the kid’s guttural scream of pain somewhere in the depths of his mind, his body acting on instinct as he ran through the forms, snapping bone and bruising skin, everything moving in that too-slow to be anything other than fast way that things sometimes got in the middle of a fight. There was a part of him, deep and distant, that screamed at what he was doing, at the wrongness of it all. But instinct and need were the stronger forces in his mind, pushing the man to fight, to win before this boy- this Shinobi pulled out one of their impossible magic moves and slaughtered him in an instant. So he ignored the screams in his head and from the crows, lifting the frail child over his shoulder to toss him as he had planned…

Only to stop mid-lift, a sharp pain flaring through his shoulder as he held the boy aloft. Blood pooled in his mouth, the world rapidly going dark as he struggled, suddenly, to breath- and, in the dying moments of his life, realized he could not hear his own heartbeat. Blood sprayed everywhere, coating every inch of Suzaku that wasn’t protected by his jutsu, and as the man collapsed, he let go of the boy, the life fading from his eyes as the Shinobi cut through him, removing his left arm and much of his upper torso as well. Sorry… sweetie. Looks like Daddy… isn’t gonna make it… after all…

As Kyou hit the ground,so did Suzaku, slamming onto his bad leg and arm in a crumpled heap, further injuring himself in the process… but, luckily, alive.

It was warm. That was the main sensation he felt, while the adrenaline surging through him still allowed him to feel something other than pain. A temporary blessing, though right now he almost wished he couldn't feel it. The man's blood spraying over him and the ground around them as he slashed through the man's body. The only thing not soaked in blood being the arm he'd use to pierce the man's heart, wind still surrounding it, spraying the warm liquid all around including his face. This disheveled stranger whose name he didn't even know, something that dawned on the teen as he stared at him, time moving slowly. It felt like forever, this moment of piercing his heart, the teens bird-eyes and the adrenaline causing time to linger even more. Each moment of the man's realization of what'd just happened, the fiery haired boys face mixing fear with the realization of what he'd done. That he'd just killed someone.

Then, he was falling. And the landing brought him back to the real world, ended that lingering moment that went on forever, as he landed on his broken arm. AHHHHHHHH!! He cried out in pain again, though this time there was no one to hear him. Tears streamed down the now reddened face of the boy, pain and frustration and every other imaginable emotion blending together it felt like. His breathing more ragged from everything, as the adrenaline started to wear off. Though before it did, he found himself looking at the dead stranger in front of him. A man who had been determined enough to fight a ninja with no jutsus, to break his arm and leg. And the scraggly teen boy didn't know why he'd done it. Why he'd escaped prison. Who he even was. All he knew was that he was now dead, and all the teen could think was one thing before his broken limbs consumed his thoughts. What was the point of this...

For a moment, Suzaku’s screams were the only sounds that echoed through the forest, his blood curdling wails of pain bouncing through the trees in a cacophony of noise that, had it been anywhere civilized, would have drawn all the attention he would need to get help. But, unfortunately for the young Kyumu boy, he was far from civilization- and for all his crying, there was no one to hear it, no one to care or help or comfort, not for many miles. There was only the dim light of the fire, so close yet so distant from his crumpled frame, and the concerned caws of his two summons, pecking gently at his side.

Eventually, another sound joined his slowly weakening sniffles; the pitter-patter of feet against underbrush, the snap of a twig, and, finally, the keening howl of a wolf. It was far off, perhaps a mile away or so… but for how long would that be the case? In his beaten condition, the boy had little chance of running off a full pack of wolves, and with his leg broken he had no means of escape on his own. If he was to survive long enough for help to arrive, he would have to do something- now, before the predators of Kaminari no Kuni began to creep in and strike.

In any other situation, this could almost be called comfortable. A nearby fire giving off warmth in a cool sky as the day had slowly passed, darkness fast approaching. It was how some people spent their leisure time, doing things like this, cooking, reconnecting with nature. But it wasn't the boys camp, the person who it belonged to was dead. Unable to enjoy the comfort of the fire, never able to go on another camping trip ever again with family, if the man even had any. And the survivor, the boys who's hair matched the flames so well, couldn't appreciate it's warmth either, instead his pained cries filled a cold forest.

The pain was getting worse by the minute now, the drop onto his limbs managing to overpower the adrenaline in a blazing surge of pain. His screams had also made it so he didn't hear it, notice the approaching footsteps. The crunching of the leaves as more figures of the night got closer. The only presence he was aware of were his two companions, close by his side as they hopped along the ground by him, and the corpse of the unknown prisoner. He wouldn't them until a howl filled the night, just as loud as he was, and suddenly the immobile teens voice got caught in his throat. Once again, adrenaline surged, fear filling his body. He'd managed to go from the hunter in this scenario, to the hunted.

For a moment, he said nothing, paralyzed, tears running down his face no longer from pain but fear. The most instinctual fear in the world, the fear of getting eaten. Then a literal weight would find itself on his good shoulder, and he'd look to see his two birds right by him. Like always, and suddenly he was breathing again. Ja!! It was all he had to say, before the bird went flying off towards the village, to get help. He wouldn't even need someone to translate, Ja was capable of human speech, at least enough to get the message across. The he'd scramble through his bag for a kunai, the adrenaline once again dulling the pain, at least enough for him to grab a kunai with an explosive seal tied to the end. Here. Don't smudge the tag. He handed the large-beaked crow the kunai, his personal favorite breed of crow and for good reason. The bird would be able to easily carry the ring with its stronger beak, and would take flight with it. And if the bird could find the pack from above with its detail-oriented vision, he'd drop the kunai in the middle of it.

Now!! A caw would echo through the forest, but Suzaku would understand, and he'd try to activate the seal with his good hand. And hopefully an explosion would ring throughout the forest. But whether it did or didn't, he'd still follow up with one more move, a caw. The same as before, with however many birds were able to hear the call coming to him. But there'd be another benefit, these birds and Dō would all clone, creating a flock for the boy. A flock that'd swarm the hopefully disoriented wolf pack. It was wings VS talons, and they had to win until help arrived.

-I wonder if Kyou went camping with his daughter. Let's not think about it
-The hunter becomes....The Hunted!!! Though he doesn't realize it from his screaming until the howl fills the sky
-Suzu is not having a good day. Becomes paralyzed momentarily, but his birdies snap him out of it
-Ja is sent to get help (has human speech SA), before grabbing a kunai w/exploding seal from equipment
-Gives kunai to Dō, and has him drop it in the middle of the pack and he tries to activate the seal so the pack gets bombed
-Then uses Hiding in Murder of crows to swarm the wolves in the confusion of the explosion (Bird Numbers: Dō + However many are summonedx2 (Clones)

NAME: Exploding Seal Jutsu [Bakukami no Jutsu]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Med
CLASSIFICATION: Fūinjutsu
ELEMENT: -
HANDSEALS: 0
DESCRIPTION:
One of the simplest jutsu thought to almost all beginner fuuinjutsu users. This technique has been used for centuries being put on exploding notes of all sorts. The idea behind this jutsu is to seal a certain amount of the user's chakra inside of a seal and release it at a later date using a simple seal. The user is capable of inscribing the seal onto any [non human] surface and the explosion strength can be varied depending on how much chakra the user puts into the seal,C rank being your average explosive note.
