"Ya got that just from an accent?" Raising her brow, Arashi would look toward Kiyoshi as he seemed to take over the process of interrogating the individuals before them. As he did, Arashi would watch as she began consider just what she could from these actions. Be it that these men were hired on or from the area within the mountainous region, it was discovered that they were from the Vegetable Country. Or at least most were, and the others were Ashigaru. From what she could recall from her books, Ashigaru were a rank of samurai, which could connect them to the Samurai Country, but they were neutral at best. But, it was more than what she had been able to make out from their pleas, leading to her watching as the Village leader continued to question them. Still, the identity of just who hired them on was a mystery. But with location somewhat identified, it could be anyone with some close tie to the country or at least access to their resources. Upon being instructed to secure these men with the others, Arashi would swiftly do so with a calm expression, looking toward Kiyoshi with a serious look. "So the people that were gathered here likely were hired on by someone who recognized two Kage in Sekara...adds up..." With the display of the glass dove now floating on a wave of sand, Arashi would ensure the others were locked away within the sand sphere, following after the older male with a calm expression. "Theory being....they saw two high ranking men discussing a product and saw the value...though who knows exactly what they may have waiting for us down there..." As they entered the tunnels, the lack of sand proved to be a bit of a concern, along with the enclosed space. Still, if need be, Arashi was capable of making more from their surroundings. Yet it made her regret not bringing her Gourd with her... But that would prove the least of her concerns as they found themselves within an more open area, this time with more samurai of an undetermined nation. With their loyalties burned away, perhaps to keep themselves from being identified, the armor itself seemed of poor make. "So they hired a knock off clan of samurai warriors....Huh...neat...sad....but neat...proves at least that whoever got them wasn't completely well off..." Enter Sandman That being said, it didn't make them any less dangerous. Arashi would see Kiyoshi had already begun to arm himself, indicating that he wanted Arashi to lead the assault. With a calm expression, Arashi would then rise up as she made her way into the open, whistling loudly to get their attention. "ATTENTION GENTLEMEN!" As she continued to move closer, her body to start to pulse as her chakra flared and began to surround her with each step in a purple aura. The wind would pick up as if from no where, prompting her hair to blow back as her golden gaze focused on her targets. Her teeth sharpened, her nails began to grow and her eyes narrowed. Dragging her hand across the surface of the wall, taking on the properties of stone into her features, the Jounin would speak again as she attention to draw their focus on her and less upon the way she came, where the Kage was hopefully still in wait and ready to stike. "Ya have two options....Surrender....or die..." Stopping short, she'd then hold a serious expression as she raised her brow as the curse marks on her flesh moved and swirled upon the surface of her skin. "Pick one..."

Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku.

Jinchuuriki Form

Arashi has light black rings around her eyes due to the several sleepless nights she’s had. Her eyes are also an intense shade of gold. They seem to match the Ichibi’s own eyes as well. She also occasionally has curse marks very similar to Shukaku’s appear over her skin, typically during a full moon and the days surrounding the moon or in combat.

DESCRIPTION:
With this technique, the user can take on the properties of a nearby object, material, or substance they touch, and any of its special characteristics. For example, the user can turn his or her skin into rock, either entirely or partly. Not only receive a boost to their physical strength, but be capable of reassembling themselves if damaged. The user can essentially reform themselves if destroyed while using this technique, though they cannot reform injuries that occur when it's inactive. The technique can only be used on solid substances, such as minerals, metals, refined stones, soil, organic matter, but cannot be used in conjunction with water or energy based elements.

     The five explosive doves flew out past Arashi's shoulders and over her head, briefly reminiscent of a glowing orange halo, before scattering. They shot to five key points in the room between the thirteen men and exploded into a hail of shards and molten glass. Three of the men screamed out, burnt or skewered, while two dropped dead on the spot. The armor, though cheap, had protected the bulk from the blasts.

     Five of the eight who were unharmed closed in on Arashi with trained fearlessness. Three bore their katanas, while two had picked up the more traditional spear from under a cloth. The men on her sides lunged forward with horizontal slashes, while the one in front brought down a fast vertical chop. The two spearmen poked out at her from behind the cover of their comrades.

     Yells filled the room - barked orders, screams of pain. The least hurt of the three grabbed his comrades, rushing them out a back tunnel. The remaining three others quickly tried to make their way around Arashi and towards Kiyoshi.

     The Kazekage weaved five handseals and stomped his foot down in their direction and a broil of fire and lightning ran underneath their feet. Massive glass spikes shot up, ripping through the legs of two of them who collapsed and causing the other to curse as he carefully navigated through the field of glass in an attempt to reach Kiyoshi, yet his progress was slow - he wouldn't make it through before another attack.

     The clatter of armor and metal clinking sounded out through the tunnels deeper in. There were more than these, to be sure - the rest would soon be upon them. The next group, if Arashi could smell them, seemed to be four more - no doubt even more skilled than these.

Moment Music As if a signal for the engagement to begin, the flight of explosive doves made way for the conflict to begin. The sudden eruption of fire and ash, the swift engulfing of flames that consumed three of the armored men, while leaving two dead. While it certainly wasn't the first time Arashi had seen such carnage, it was clear that this wasn't going to end with them simply giving up now. Not that it was ever implied to start with. Still, with five remaining at the ready, their blades brandished in striking position, Arashi's golden gaze would shift between their numbers, she'd release an echoing scream that would release a shockwave that blasted those around her in all directions, drawing off their attacks against her hardened flesh. In hopefully shaking their resolve, she drew back in preparation of her next attack. While sand was limited, ashes were not, as a result of the Kage's actions previously. In shifting her movement towards it, she'd coat her forearms within the substance of ember residue, prompting the shift in texture in her flesh once more as they began to morph into drill-like appendages. With these blur like limbs, she's lash out at the closest of the five, drilling her arm into them, burrowing deeper into their chest as she shattered through their armor. As another drew in, she'd extend the opposite hand to counter their assault, drilling into them as she rose up and prepared to engage the remaining three if they were prepared to strike. In looking over to the position of the Kage, she'd see him having begun his own attack against those coming toward him, though dealing with them swiftly as he prevented their approach through glass, yet one remained. Seeing this, she'd then swiftly release the drill bit from her arm, flatting it with her palm as it reverted back into a curse marked limb. As she summoned forth a Fuma shuriken within her hand, the Jounin would draw her arm back before sending it into the direction of the man, prompting it to soar toward them and at the very least distract them long enough for the Kage to react as she returned her sights to her own matters. Still, it appeared that this was only the starting phase as more men were coming from the smell of things. "More on the way through the tunnels! We need to slow them down!"

DESCRIPTION:
After having taken on the properties of Ash, the user will turn their forearms into massive, three meter long rotating drills. Their rotation is so fast, only those with the highest level of Doujutsu can possible hope to follow. Without hindering the users movements, they will attempt to pierce an object or person with the drills. Coupled with the heat, rotation and the fact the user can keep the point from blunting, the drills are capable of piercing almost any non chakra enforced substance, wood, metal, diamond given enough time. When coming in contact with a person, it will tear their body to pieces. What makes them so dangerous is that any part of the drill can grind a person to pieces, meaning they can be swung instead of thrust. However the technique is weak and can be countered by Suiton, thick Doton defenses and chakra infused weapons.

DESCRIPTION:
A tailed beast or Jinchuuriki taps into their large reserves in a burst of emotion. By either roaring, or a violent wave of the arms, the can send a powerful force of pressure and destruction that moves outward in a circular motion, with their body being its epicenter. For those who have minimal control, these are usually brought about when they are enraged in their Initial Jinchuuriki Form, or their Version 1 Chakra Cloak. The C-ranked version is capable of moving away Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and projectile attacks of similar power, while serving as successful Kai due to the rush of chakra for a range in all directions for 20 meters. The B-ranked version of the jutsu is attainable when they are in their Version 2 Chakra cloak, which pushes everything mentioned above in all directions for 35 meters. When in Full Bijuu Mode, the S-ranked version can do 100 meters.

     A shockwave threw the men back from her, though the experienced soldiers soon regained their footing and pushed forward. The first of those fighting Arashi fell lifelessly to the floor, a smoldering hole remaining where his chest had been.

     A second fell to the same fate, but the remaining three were unfazed. The two spearmen backpedaled a few meters and launched their spears at Arashi like javelin, before drawing their swords and rushing in after the third remaining man. The front man took a massive step and swung his blade wide, aimed at her legs. The others followed a few seconds later with dual vertical slashes at her arms, one up on the right and one down on the left.

     The man who'd been navigating through the shard field saw the shuriken coming, adroitly dodged it - but his balance lost, fell backwards onto a larger-than-usual spike, and was silenced. Kiyoshi saw the reinforcements rounding the corner, weaved a series of handseals and launched a barrier forward. Basic, at first, it shoved the corpses and the glass across the room and over the sand, which it burnt into glass that was infused into the barrier.

     When it'd reached the tunnel's mouth, it was a red-hot sheet that blocked the way and had turned the glass into shrapnel that ricocheted through the tunnel and cut up the men on the other side - five more disguised ashigaru, and one that looked to perhaps be an authentic samurai of some sort, or a lieutenant.

     That one in particular bore a large two-handed nodachi, which he violently brought down on cooling glass. Crackling filled the cavern as he hacked his way through the semi-liquid barrier. It wouldn't hold for long, but perhaps long enough for Arashi and Kiyoshi to deal with the remaining three and prepare for the others.

Moment Music With three clearly dealt with, what remained seemed to have their sights on dealing with Arashi as the Kazekage covered the entry route to prevent reinforcements from getting in. Yet, this was just a delay at best, as it was starting to weaken with each passing moment. With their spears thrown in her direction like projectiles, Arashi would summon what sand she could for a mild defense, managing to prevent their access to her by mere inches. With a groan, the young female would see the partial veiled image of a man rushing in, their blade drawn outward in a swing toward her legs. As she noted the two others making their way in her direction as well, Arashi would jump upon the surface of the blade, balancing herself briefly while lowering her hands outward to extend them against the two men's chest. With the surface of their armor soon being inscrolled with similar seals, her curse marks would release the chakra to activate them, prompting them to feel as if they were being weighed down by boulders that weighed a ton. Having that pressure against their bodies forcing them down, she'd set her sights upon the man who's weapon she was upon, shooting her fingertips against his forehead as she created a seal upon it. "Metsu..." In placing him within the seal, her next move was to look at him as her knee rammed itself forward in his dazed state. Though with little time to collect herself, the Jounin would make her way toward the Kazekage, her expression calm as she could see the cracks within the barrier of glass, and what awaited them on the other side. "Still think this was a great idea?" Raising her brow, her golden gaze would shift toward the man before then allowing herself to ready herself as she prepared another set of seals, marking her forehead as she brushed her fingertip across it.

Within her youth, Arashi had always been a natural when it came to the art of sealing techniques. Trained under one of it's great masters, her skill and understanding of this nearly forgotten artform only grew and has become more seasoned over time. With this knowledge, the shinobi is capable of identifying the nature and abilities of a seal just by looking at it, mapping out their structure, strength, and abilities based on previous experience and her own studies with the craft. This skill also allows for her own seals to become much stronger in their usage, extend their duration people(1 post), able to modify them to suit a specific situation or to quickly implement them in the field.

DESCRIPTION:
A technique that is used to erase the mind of an ally, citizen, opponent, or etc. The user will use two of their fingers, being the index and middle, only to begin incorporating on the tip of their fingers blue chakra. By placing their fingers on the center of said persons forehead they will use their other hand to perform the wipe out by whispering, 滅, metsu, which means wipe; thus, eradicating a certain part of their memory that the user so chooses for them to forget. Now, the memory that was erased isn't FULLY gone for sometimes it can mostly be seen as a dream of the sort when one slightly begins to recall on said memory that was erased. Used typically when opponent is restrained or still, as it take focus, concentration, and time to work effectively.

DESCRIPTION:
An advanced version of Senkin that can be used in an offensive manner. One that requires the user to write the specific seal and weight in kanji upon the object or person of their desire. Weight is variable, anywhere from a few pounds to a ton. When placed on a persons clothes, it is possible for those to crush that person or simply render them immobile. It can also be used as an incarceration technique, if placed on the skin it will not crush but simply render immobile. The seal can be broken with a specific burst of chakra into the seal, much like water and wall walking. Though this naturally requires some knowledge on the art of Fūinjutsu [spec or SA]. The variable weight of the jutsu will increase the cost the greater the variable.

DESCRIPTION:
After performing the necessary hand seals, the seal for "blaze" appears on the object that the user has slapped their hand against. The seal creates an invisible 10m wide barrier from the source which will draw in any jutsu that utilizes the fire element quickly like a vacuum. By doing so, the user can seal away techniques used against them that passes nearby the sealing medium. The amount of chakra which can be sealed away using this technique is dependent on the sealing medium: a single sealing tag can seal a jutsu using medium chakra, while a large sealing scroll can seal up to one technique using very high amounts of chakra or five techniques using medium amounts of chakra as a sort of measurement scale. It can seal up to A-rank techniques.

     "Yes," he said with a hearty chuckle. It'd been altogether too long since he'd had a chance to stretch his legs, so to speak. "besides - there'll be information in it for us, I suspect." If we're lucky, he neglected to say, it'll be what your father and I spoke of.

     There'd be little time to explain, anyway. The lieutenant - taller than the rest by a good foot, at least - brought his katana back into its sheath. With a step forward, it shot out and struck the now cooled glass, shattering it in a spray of crystals that would have ricocheted at the pair, had there not been a weak, secondary barrier that prevented just that.

     The man crunched the mound of fallen glass underfoot as he scowled at them from underneath a red mask that sported a bushy mustache. Five men entered the room to his sides, filing in with a variety of weapons in hand. Front two, shields and spears. Next two, kusarigami. Lone man in the rear, a bow. "We've orders to die, before capture." he said in a thick accent. "Will you leave?" he followed, in a threatening voice that said he had no intention to die, or to speak.

     "No." Kiyoshi said. Nor will we kill you, he thought, as he flashed a hand signal for 'take him alive' to Arashi. "So be it." he muttered, sheathing his blade and dropping into an iaido stance.

     The spearmen pushed forward, hidden behind their tall and wide shields, thrusting their long spears at one of the duo each. The men behind them twirled their chains and flung them in a wide arc around each of them, whistling sickeningly through the cave air, to impale the duo. The lieutenant was still, further back, hand on sword grip as he watched intently. The bowman dipped his arrowheads in oil and lit them afire, drew two and aimed them to ricochet off the ceiling.

"Uh huh...Hmm..." Arashi would allow her gaze to remain upon the breaking glass wall, listening as the man explained at the very least, they could get some information from all this, leading to the last remnants of their defense crumbling from the sudden strike of their targets some the other side. As the shards scattered, five armored opponents came through from their remains, leading to a small exchange of their perceived orders to die than be captured. In seeing the signal to keep their leader alive, the Jounin would let her gaze shift in Kiyoshi's direction, before then allowing it to return to the threat ahead of them. One alive out of the rest was probably the better option in the end. At the very least, this one seemed to likely know the most, and if she got her hands on him, she could easily extract what he knew from him. Yet getting to him would be the challenge. With their advance in session, the first thing in order was to deal with the matter in front of them, and over them. As one of the spearmen drew in close to her, she'd begin to move around him, checking her footing as she turned herself to appear at his side, her hand drawing outward as it extended into that of a Fuuton infused claw. With the strike slicing through them, she'd move upward toward the air, narrowly dodging the swinging chains and seeing the arrows of fire that were falling toward them. In performing five hand seals, the female would clap her hands together to release a burst of wind from her palms, causing the projectiles to fly off course and away from their position. Yet, as she began to descend, her target would be toward the shielded guard moving at the Kage, falling towards them as she released a cry that was feral in nature before landing upon the, rapidly slashing at them with before ending the combination with a cross-handed strike that would push them back with enough force to send them into hopefully one of the arrow wielding targets at their back.

After charging Fūton chakra into one's hands, the caster will clap their hands to initiate this technique. The clap causes the Fūton to compress and transform into a powerful gale. The gale itself has enough force to knock a human off of their feet; however, this technique's true power shows when used in correlation with shuriken, as it increases the wounding, piercing, and killing potential several times over.

A powerful technique of wind nature chakra that can cut and slash through most materials like most wood and stone. The activates it by channeling chakra in their right hand, and then swipes a slicing chakra wave which appears to be controlled by user's will and thoughts.      The spearman screamed out in pain as Arashi's claws raked through his armor, eviscerating his arm and side. His spear fell to the ground, and he backed away with his shield raised until he hit the cave wall.

     The archers knocked another set of fiery arrows, but the one on the right was interrupted when the shieldbearer in front of him was thrown backwards, narrowly missing the man with the kusarigama, and crashed into him. The two extricated themselves from a pile, mostly unhurt save for the shieldman who'd lost his shield, broken his left arm, and had his chest scratched up. He pulled a katana out.

     Kiyoshi created a pole-like barrier to block the chained weapon, which wrapped around it until the weak barrier shattered. He stepped back as Arashi came down upon the man in front of him, and he created a strong barrier around the central clumping of combatants. The man against the wall, and his kusarigama wielder, were excluded.

     In an instant the barrier expanded with a cacophonous roar, as it filled up the available space and exploded. All that was left of those two was smoking red smears on the cave walls. Four of the six remained: a shieldman, in the back right, a kusaragami wielder on the left, an archer in the back, and the lieutenant in the center.

     The latter took a huge step forward towards Arashi and swung an inhumanly fast horizontal iaido slash at her with his nodachi. The man with the chain swung it around the back of the lieutanant towards Kiyoshi, and the archer notched an arrow to shoot at Arashi. The last man was still reeling from his broken arm.

Battle Movement The body count was certainly starting to rise, but in the end, it wasn't on their side where the losses were felt. With the numbers now down to four, it appeared as if there attempt at keeping things controlled through sheer force was doing them very little against the two shinobi before them. As Arashi regained her posture after her descent, she'd narrow her eyes at what remained of their attacks, looking at the side of the swordsman as he launched in at incredible speed. With the steel swinging in the air near invisible, following it's angle by sight would be difficult. But Arashi had other means to keep up, using the odor from the man to track his movements and nimbly weave her body beneath the blade's strike, her eyes still locked on the man as if they were moving in slow motion. The process, her hands would form two seals, creating a charge that seemed to envelop her briefly in mid-movement. With her evasion of this complete, what remained was for her to counter, her legs charging with electricity as she sent her leg forward as a means to strike against the man with a rapid kick against their chest. While it was meant to stun, it was her hope that it would at least implant the idea of possible surrender as held her guard upon completion. Still, what remained of the final two in the back was nothing more than a pile that were trying their best to mount a return to arms. Holding her hand sideways, she'd shift her fingers into a single seal, prompting the seal on her forehead to glow as her body seemed to release a burst of chakra and form what looked as if to be a sand illusion. Yet, just as briefly as this appeared, it reformed into that of what looked to be a canon, releasing a blast that spiraled in the groups direction, hopefully sending them to a swift end. If Lord Kiyoshi had managed to handle his own target, what would remain would be the swordsman, prompting her to look toward the older man with a calm expression. "It'll be faster if I just probe their mind to get the information we need...rather than risk them offin themselves..." As she said this, the remains of the blast would allow for dust to form, prompting Arashi to wave her hand to the side as a means to swiftly capture the man from behind, using the newly formed sand to create a cocoon around the swordsman, leaving only their head exposed. "Or he could just tell us so I don't leave em a vegetable..."

Ultimate Defense

A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike.

Will of Sand

Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku.

Jinchuuriki Form

Arashi has light black rings around her eyes due to the several sleepless nights she’s had. Her eyes are also an intense shade of gold. They seem to match the Ichibi’s own eyes as well. She also occasionally has curse marks very similar to Shukaku’s appear over her skin, typically during a full moon and the days surrounding the moon or in combat.

Fuuinjutsu Savant

Within her youth, Arashi had always been a natural when it came to the art of sealing techniques. Trained under one of it's great masters, her skill and understanding of this nearly forgotten artform only grew and has become more seasoned over time. With this knowledge, the shinobi is capable of identifying the nature and abilities of a seal just by looking at it, mapping out their structure, strength, and abilities based on previous experience and her own studies with the craft. This skill also allows for her own seals to become much stronger in their usage, extend their duration people(1 post), able to modify them to suit a specific situation or to quickly implement them in the field.
Enhanced Smell

Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose)

Hunter's Instinct

With her training from her mother, along with the lessons she learned from her time with the Saeko's Clan, Arashi adapted her tracking ability to a level similar to that of a sensory nin. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range.

     The two that Arashi'd targeted met a swift end. The final man, aside from the swordsman, found his weapon staked in place with a barrier and a broil of smoke appeared under his feet. In a moment, he was engulfed in molten glass and toppled over to cool like a scorpion in amber.

     Kiyoshi shook the cave dust off his clothes as he approached Arashi and the captured lieutenant. Despite his efforts, the sand would not offer him any route of escape. "Probe his mind?" he asked with a gentle smile. "That's quite something. Go ahead. In the meanwhile," he said after confirming with her that no one else remained in the cave, "I'll take a look around the place, see if there's anything worthwhile."

     Carefully stepping over corpses and piles of glass and sand, he made his way into the back tunnels, calling back to Arashi. "Find out where he's from! And who hired him, as well as why!" He coughed a little from the dust, pushed open an old rickety wooden door to some kind of office-storeroom.

     The room was full of boxes - spoils of looting, it seemed, though the age of much of it seemed to predate what these men could've acquired. Kiyoshi rifled through some old ruined paintings, picked up and read through some papers. Useless, for the most part. Anything of worth had rotted away. Yet a small chest caught his eye in the corner.

     Kneeling down in front of it, he noticed that the construction of it was actually quite exquisite. Old - very. A crest had been carved into the top of the box, one which he instantly recognized as one of the pre-Clan emblems of the Oonakayama tribes. Picking up the lock that dangled from the front and that held it shut, he noticed the version upon that was a very specific one. The same design that'd carried over into the official clan insignia - that of Oonakayama Sumire's tribe.

     Forming a globule of glass on his fingertip, he stuck it into the lock and jiggled it until it popped open. Cracking the lid, he was greeted mostly with decayed papers, to which he sighed. Brushing past the useless refuse, he nearly cut himself on the edge of an ornate dagger. Kiyoshi blew the paper shreds away and noticed that the craftsman was sublime, but most notably, an inscription had been etched into the metal of the blade. The language was not that of modern Shinobi, but it read: For Clan and Country - Father.

     Looking up, he spotted the name carved into the underside of the lid. For Sumiye. He gently shut the lid and tucked the box under his arm.

     When he'd returned to the room with Arashi and the captured man, he waited until the probing had finished and Arashi had explained what she'd learned. "Good," he grinned, "that's what I was hoping to hear." When they'd dealt with the man and stepped back outside, he turned to her and offered her the small box with a smile. "These lands were the Oonakayama's, weren't they? Here. Found this in the back - figure it'd be better for you to have it than me."

Going through the mind of an individual was never as simple as picking certain topics and taking that information. Granted, not without leaving lasting harm... A trained shinobi in the art of interrogation was capable of getting what they needed, and leaving without that person even realizing something was wrong. Arashi had some training in such practices, but her skill came from using her Fuuinjutsu to enter someone's mind and either erase, rewrite or extract completely. It was a technique she had picked up through her studies, and it had more than helped her once. Of course, the fall back was that she had limited herself to using it only for certain situations. Mostly for her own sake, but also because of how fragile the mind could be. Experience had taught her that, and the last thing she wanted to do was to make of habit out of taking people's memories and using them against them. As she searched through the man's mind, she'd find what she needed, but also what he held dear to him... His code, his clan, his family's honor... These were things that most would expect from a samurai, but the depth in which this group was willing to go was almost cultic. Still, the task was complete and she wasn't about to judge the man for his beliefs. His actions were a different story... "You will not remember this meeting....you will find that what actions you've taken in the past are a mystery to you. You're loved ones and family are of the highest importance and you will strive to secure their happiness in the most LEGAL means possible. You will understand that life is precious...and that your own holds value in keeping it for their sake. When you leave this place...you will return to where you met your employer....you will note that you did what they asked convincingly and you will then leave and return home....but for now....rest..." In finishing this incantation, Arashi would watch the man lull into slumber, allowing him to remain afloat as she released a breath and allowed for her state of intense chakra to finish rescinding. While using her tailed states were draining, the fact that she was able to remain in control and also aware of her condition proved that her training was working. Of course, nothing could control the reaction she had in seeing the old box and then noting the inscription upon it. "OH KAMI!! NO WAY!!!" Covering her mouth, Arashi would take box in hand and began looking it over. "Early relics related to Sumiye are literally impossible to locate! Half of them were lost during the Iwagakure attack in Sunagakure and the rest were buried with her in her tomb..I mean...some...Her workshop even had a few tools and a partially active Shippai...but this! No one ever talks about her family!" As she opened the box to see the dagger, her excitement only grew as her inner scholar seemed to take hold almost instantly. Especially in mention of how these were supposed to be Oonakayama lands. "Well yea! They were back before the formation of the clans into one unified force. During that period Sumiye was working towards that unification and there were plenty that weren't willing to go along with it. Not to mention that in that time, these lands were far more wide-spread and contained just as much conflict with invading groups than peaceful diplomacy! Leave it to her to actually try and work against those odds. Still! With that happening, it was a wonder how anyone was able to get anything from here! It's possible that this might be one of the few gifts that are left from her father!" Looking at it, Arashi's eyes seemed to glow as she examined the dagger closer. "For Clan and Country...." Golden eyes scanning it, Arashi would then cup her hand beneath her face with a serious expression. "The craftsmanship is definitely that of a master....while the records of her family are limited to only text from close followers and allies, there is hardly anything that speaks of her father. It's almost like he was wiped out of existence from any relation to Sumiye....still...this could be something that he made for her...especially if it's been personalized in such a way..." Realizing her outburst, Arashi would then close the lid gently before then coughing into her hand. "Course..thats just off the top of my head...can't say much more than that without speculatin into fantasy..."

DESCRIPTION:
After inscribing the seal on the forehead of the intended target, the user will then perform two hand seals to subsequently seal memories away. The memories can be selected by the user of the seal. This is to prevent information leaks in the case of a shinobi being caught by enemy shinobi so that they cannot extract potentially fatal information, instead they will find only what is desired by the sealer keeping classified information away. Attempts to go beyond the seal to extract memories under any circumstance causes harm to the person that the seal is inscribed upon - namely forceful attempts can cause harm up to a minor stroke to occur. This technique is most effective on a restrained target due to the concentration required, a mobile target will corrupt the seal ritual.

DESCRIPTION:
After inscribing the seal on the forehead of the intended target, the user will then perform two hand seals to subsequently encode orders onto the mind of the target. The orders do not make the target act involuntarily, but rather if their mind is otherwise without memories they have orders to go by. This is a sister technique and is often used with the Kioku no Suitai technique for espionage tactics. This technique is most effective on a restrained target due to the concentration required, a mobile target will corrupt the seal ritual.

The order cannot be overly complicated in nature, meaning, that it should be possible to inscribe it with very few words. Such as 'Go Do X' or 'Kill Y'. The amount of resistance is correlated to the amount of consent of the target. A completely resistant target will have moments of clarity and hesitate constantly to carry out the order - in the case of assassinations it may or may not end them stopping right before actually killing the person. A fully consenting target will blindly follow the orders though they will not always know why they are compelled to carry out the order. If Kioku no Suitai is applied prior, the sealed away memories will not allow access for the reasoning so in a manner of speaking this jutsu works like hypnosis. Where a believing or consenting target is compelled easily, whilst a skeptic or resistant target may not be so easy to sway. This is why, this jutsu is almost exclusively used on consenting targets.

     Kiyoshi smiled at her excitement. It was certainly a rare find - perhaps the cave had been an old Oonakayama tribal stopover for trips? Maybe the location had been forgotten with the transition to a Clan, or the records obfuscated? Had Sumiye ever held the dagger, or had her father put it here, for some reason? Or perhaps the box had been taken here by bandits, unable to open it? There wasn't any way to be sure at the moment.

     "Well, it's yours now -" he affirmed while he scooped a handful of sand and scorched it into a small glass plate. With skill, he 'etched' a small map of the nearby mountains from memory and marked the spot with an X, handing the glass map over to Arashi. "- perhaps you can take some time off and figure out the history behind it, or her father? There's plenty of small oasis villages around these parts that were founded by the Oonakayama. Maybe some of the old folks have stories to tell about similar caches?"

     After they'd dealt with the stragglers they'd trapped in the sand - in whatever way Arashi wished - Kiyoshi brought their ride back to life and the pair lifted off back into the sky. The caravan with the lumber had passed them a few minutes ago, so they settled back into a comfortable following distance.

     Before long, the blue waters of the bay of Roran could be seen on the horizon. Kiyoshi turned back to face Arashi. "Let's review what we learned, then." He rubbed the stubble on his jaw. "Most of those men were Na no Kuni locals, recruited by mercenaries from Hoki. Their master, a noble from the northeast of the country, has been attacking our -" he wiggled his other hand to indicate uncertainty. "- allies, the Tanjo, at the Daimyou's behest. But they've pestered him as well, turning bandit and looting the country, which we already knew."

     Kiyoshi looked down to check on the transport. All well. They'd be in Roran before long. "They followed the transport from Moku no Kuni and are now pestering us, as well. Perhaps we can help the Tanjo, and the Daimyou, at the same time? Push the Law mercenaries out of the country, broker some kind of negotiated peace?"

Arashi would remain silent as Lord Kiyoshi offered the possibility of her further investigating such history at some point. Granted, it felt briefly like the man was trying to get rid of her, though as he seemed to construct what looked to be a glass map from memory, the young woman would examine the object and raise her brow with a calm expression. "Hmm....maybe..." Though she was skeptical to say the least, some of these locations were indeed areas that she had never looked into, let alone heard of. Granted, she was aware of the influence of the Oonakayama Clan, especially with their history as being distributors of financing many different projects, but their interest in the creation of villages along oasis and across the lands that had once been claimed by them was scare at best, unheard of at worst. While it certainly was possible that there were more pockets of finds in terms of relics to the Pre-clan tribalism within Kaze no kuni, investing that amount of time into it would require a lot more than just a few days off. If anything, she'd be gone for months... Of course, right now the focus came down to what they were to do with the information they had gathered from their attackers. To which, Kiyoshi seemed to be right on top of. As she finished the last of the round up and capture of the bandits and samurai that were left alive, they were once again in the air and soaring toward the familiar site of Roran. Still the matter of what they now knew was more than a bit irritating. So she'd turn toward the older man with a serious expression, listening to him before then shaking her head at his idea. "Its great in theory...but even if ya manage to work out a tentative peace between the Tanjo and the Damiyou, ya still got the noble. More than likely, they'll still send out mercenaries to take on the group if only to save face and protect their profits...can't blame em really...who wants to be robbed and then laughed at when their caught pants down?" A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike.

Will of Sand

Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku.


Fuuinjutsu Savant

Within her youth, Arashi had always been a natural when it came to the art of sealing techniques. Trained under one of it's great masters, her skill and understanding of this nearly forgotten artform only grew and has become more seasoned over time. With this knowledge, the shinobi is capable of identifying the nature and abilities of a seal just by looking at it, mapping out their structure, strength, and abilities based on previous experience and her own studies with the craft. This skill also allows for her own seals to become much stronger in their usage, extend their duration people(1 post), able to modify them to suit a specific situation or to quickly implement them in the field.

Enhanced Smell

Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose)

Hunter's Instinct

With her training from her mother, along with the lessons she learned from her time with the Saeko's Clan, Arashi adapted her tracking ability to a level similar to that of a sensory nin. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range.

     "Maybe..." he said, pondering. "but the noble is in breach of all sorts of laws. He's not a representative of Hoki, though I'm sure the Daimyou of that land would be none too pleased to hear of his vassal's behaviour. You know how they are there." He began to bring the dove down towards Roran, just as the sun was setting, now that the shipment was nearing the gates of the northern entrance.

     "Perhaps a meeting is in order with the Daimyou of Hoki and of Moku. I'd bet one, or both, would be willing to sign a contract with us to dispose of these rogue mercenaries. If we involve both Daimyou, then we've no need to risk betraying anyone," he said, a concession that she was probably in the right to not step on any toes. "then we can simply keep this shipment of lumber for our own uses, and proceed to aid the Tanjo as they've requested."

     The cart pulled up to the docks by Kiyoshi's old house, the ultimate destination. The lumber would be deposited in a nearby warehouse until he could find the funds in the Daimyou's budget to hire shipwrights. He set the glass dove down nearby, the claws making a loud clack as they landed, startling the drivers.

     "Far as I'm concerned, the noble is the least worry. One of the Daimyou will put a contract on his head, but before then, perhaps we can get hired to push them out of Moku no Kuni." he said while signing the paperwork one of the men had handed him. "Give our Shinobi something to do." he joked, handing the manifest back.

     "Good job back in those caves," he said without any sarcasm. "guess the stories I heard while I was gone weren't exaggerating." Kiyoshi smiled and gestured in the direction of the Daimyou's palace.

     "My brother has been informed you'd arrive tonight, if you'd like to stay the night there - good chance to see Kotohime. I hear you're acquainted? Otherwise, there's plenty of hotels, unless you don't mind traveling at night." He started up the stairs towards his childhood home. "I'll be back in the village tomorrow afternoon, I have some things to discuss with the Daimyou."

     He bowed down to her with a hand on the railing. "Have a good night, Arashi."

Or it could go badly and ya'll have two Damiyou's lookin for heads... That wasn't to say that the plan wasn't possible, but it held a lot of uncertainty in ensuring that all three parties were unaware of just what the others were doing. Two Damiyos and a group of Missing nin turned eco-terrorists. Still, the results couldn't really be ignored and if it were possible, she imagined that it would benefit Kiyoshi's goals in terms of creating a far reaching alliance. At the very least, cementing one. Though as far as it came to the noble, it seemed that Kiyoshi had disregarded him as a threat and believed it likely would resolve itself with one of the leaders wishing for his head. With them likely being the ones executing the request. "Yea..because they really don't have enough..." Crossing her arms over her chest, she'd watch as the village leader signed the papers over to the exchange of the lumber, looking on carefully as she examined the area. While much of what Kiyoshi intended seemed to rely on a lot of miscommunication and possible sleight of hand, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. In the end, it all depended on how close to the chest the new leader wished to play this. Which so far was pretty close... Though as he began to depart, he would redirect his attention once more upon her, praising her for a job well done in the caves. As she looked at him, he'd mention how the stories he had heard during his time aware were clearly telling truth of her abilities. "Hmm...Pretty sure a few things were left out...hopefully...but thanks..." With a smirk crossing her lips, she'd hear him mention how his brother was aware of their arrival and was even given an invitation to stay at their residence. With Kotohime being there...? "Wait what?" Holding a blank expression, her golden gaze would watch the man begin to ascend the stairs, stating how he would have returned to the village by tomorrow, claiming business with the Damiyou as he bowed toward her as he wished her a good night. Still processing the news that Kotohime might actually be engaged or at the very least living with a relative of her boss, the notion of it also being within the realm of this meeting with the Damiyo began to ring a few bells as she nodded her head at the Kage's departure. Of course, Arashi was now left with the option of either going to see for herself or simply taking her chances with a hotel room. "Gah! Even I gotta see this..."
