Listening to Ameko, it was clear that some of what she had said had hit home. It was true that there was a crime that had been committed today. One that held no excuse. It was natural to want to end them, to ensure that this didn't happen again. It was an act of defense in killing these men to make sure of it. But, as she held her hand upon her waist, Arashi would close her eyes before then responding to her. "These men.....the bandits further in the Badlands....the thieves in Sekara....lots of enemies to the village Ameko...and their only a short trip away...." Clicking her tongue, the young woman would look at the old man once more, her expression becoming more serious as she closed her eyes. "Funny thing bout enemies....never a shortage of em...." The tan skinned female paused for a moment before then releasing a breath. "Killin those men won't change what they did...it won't bring anyone back and it sure as hell won't help ya feel better..." Looking at her, her eyes were narrowed as though she spoke from experience. Which she did... "In fact...ya do it enough...and all it does is just take a piece of who ya are until....there isn't anythin left...thats the line that is drawn between a shinobi and a killer..." Arashi would then relax her expression as she release a slow breath. "Those men aren't worth losin a piece of yourself Ameko....save it for someone or something that matters..."

Ultimate Defense

A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike.

Enhanced Smell

Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose)

Ichibi Curse Seal
The only ability Arashi has competent control over, this is the ability to utilize the curse seal marks over Shukaku’s body for her own bidding. Arashi can will the seals to cover her own body and control them to form various seals to preform fuuinjutsu from her own skin. As such, she can summon weapons she has sealed within them and rearrange the seals to be able to perform various fuuinjutsu that she has knowledge of without scrolls by using her own skin. She may also seal items within the curse marks and rearrange them to perform an unrelated technique before reforming them to summon the item at a later date.

Ameko sniffed, a somewhat derisive sound. Arashi made sense, but she didn’t have to like it. Save killing for when it mattered? It was a reasonable proposition, one that she likely would be far more open to if her mind wasn’t clouded with rage and a mixture of other emotions. There were a dozen odd bandits roaming about within a day’s travel of Sunagakure, who had demonstrated a complete disregard for human life. To let them live would be to invite them to attack again. "It ‘ain’t about me, or him, or anything of the sort,” Ameko spoke, voice fiery, "If we have no shortage of enemies, why not reduce the number somewhat? It’s-” Her voice died, the logic struggling to bubble to the surface. She didn’t want to kill anyone, not really. She’d no great desire to take life, to end the existence of another. When it came down to it, Ameko was merely afraid. Afraid of what could happen if men like the bandits were allowed to roam the deserts. What if they were to strike out at someone who Ameko actually cared for? Was it not the duty- was it not the right- of the strong to enact justice as they saw fit? To ensure the world was safe, to protect their families. The girl shook her head, a subtle motion, before allowing her shoulders to slump, "You’re the boss. I don’t want to kill anyone anyway. Just… Just-” She couldn’t find the words, "I need air. All I can smell is death.” Ameko turned and stalked out, back into the open space above, back into the sands beneath the blue sky. She’d expected shinobi work to be battles and conflict, where death would come for those who struggled and fought, a contest of wills and strength. Why did it need to concern those who stood apart from it all?

In nodding her head, Arashi would watch Ameko make her way back to the surface. In truth, she imagined much of what she said was true. A lot of it was based on simply self-preservation and the protection of others. But, if one continued to protect those around them, who was going to ensure they were safe? The truth was, Arashi had seen shinobi go on similar logic, and still find it hard to come back from it. It wasn't a easy balance to keep, especially when you wanted nothing more than to have security. But that was the price when you had to also realize that killing bad guys didn't make less of them to worry about. Of course, that wasn't something that Arashi could teach her....and it was something that the girl would have to come to terms with one way or another in how she wished to operate as a shinobi and still keep sanity in that path. For now, it was just a matter of her following her instruction and hopefully taking what she said with some consideration. Meanwhile, Arashi would remain down inside of the ruins, her eyes scanning the area's walls as she looked for more clues. The designs illustrated provided very little in terms of information. The language certainly gave the impression of delict from a long period ago, but nothing else that spoke out to confirm anything. The girl was right though...clearly someone was looking into these areas as much as she was. But what she was seeking in terms of a record, she was willing to bet they were trying to find something else... Auramite maybe? Doubtful since the Dust was all but non-existent...and she had done well to limit just how much exposure she presented with it being on her person. But if not that, then what? More than anything, what did this have to do with her clan in general? There was also the emblem....the old man was wearing it on his clothes as though it were a badge of honor. It was clearly a clan sign, but the clan that it came from...Arashi had only encountered once...and they certainly weren't friendly. More than that...they had come to find the grave of ancestor... One problem at a time...For now...gotta send this one on their way... As she knelt down to examine the body for transport, she'd ignore the whistling wind and the low hum of the breeze. This mission may have been over...but the hunt for answers had only just begun....and she still have five more locations to go... -To be continued- -End thread- (I know that Ameko didn't get much in terms of techniques in this thread, but I think the experience should help in them learning S.A and getting some XP. Also I hope that it was still an overall good thread. Can't wait to do it again XD )
