[Uchiha Tokaku]

Tokaku was successful with the clone tactic, dispelling it the moment the tool went through it. The fuuma shuriken also would nick her neck. Also as planned, sword in one hand and the wire would miss, however, making her drop it the moment it did as the green haired kunoichi dropped and rolled slightly out of the way, which the Uchiha would take advantage of by aiming a swift and strong forward stomp-like kick to the girl's gut. She was hoping to wind her and knock her down using her weight and size advantage.

The kunoichi seemed to have one last trick, building up chakra to their figure quickly to fire a ball. Tokaku had just enough time to maneuver herself just right to let it rip straight through her shoulder, making her wince in pain, but she wasn't going to stop her assault. Her eyes were filled with complete malice and anger. If the kick was successful she would aim to completely corner the girl to the ground and would point the tip of her blade to her neck, close enough that she could draw blood.

"You ever throw a paper bomb at another Konohagakure shinobi, especially me and I'll kill you… Now, surrender before I cut you to ribbons without killing you but in a manner that'll be as painful as I can make it… I could've done so with that fuuma shuriken… You have five seconds to make your choice…” Tokaku said coldly, her red eyes narrowing as they went dark, aiming to now just intimidate the girl into submission. She meant everything she said after all.

Special Abilities:

Sharingan [1 Tomoe]
The girl unlocked her Sharingan after teammates died in the last chuunin exams she was in, her mother died after the chuunin exams ended. The trauma has given her One Tomoe in both of her eyes. They allow her to see chakra in color, although not as good as a Byakugan. It also gives her a better view of the actions of her opponent, although not as good as a Two or Three Tomoe Sharingan. It can help her keep track of movements well enough to aid her in combat, nonetheless.

Chakra Control
Tokaku always had good chakra control and only perfected it as she’s now gotten older. It helps her keep up with the toll of jutsus, by using almost just the right amount of chakra.

Kenjutsu Princess
So she could handle close range and also so she could eventually learn how to use a White Chakra Blade which her other clan is infamous for– Hatake Toshizou taught her how to use most types of swords in spite of her true skills in genjutsu and ninjutsu. She has been training for a few years nearly nonstop in practicing kenjutsu since she was first taught. Currently, her overall physicality and skill for using kenjutsu is boosted enough to where she is more than capable of keeping up with most other kenjutsu practitioners

[Uzumaki Ataru]

They lay in semi-locked state of free fall even as the bite of steel digs its way into his shoulder the boy held onto the flat of the blade rather firmly with all his strength, their calloused palms indenting against the smooth metallic tang. As she leans into it adding her weight the boy's face scrunches up in pain as it comes buried a tad bit further; rivulets of blood fall like tears from the wound though in a hair's breath the Uzumaki doubles down on their resolve and knowing the trick behind her chakra blade anticipates the extension no doubt about to quickly cut through him.

Given the situation he quickly pulls it upward dislodging it with a spurt of blood removing it from his collar with a wince and cry of gargled muffled pain, removing it just as it winds forward at rapid speed, it glides through his roughly hewn hands until stopping as he wrenches it back and forth finally wresting it from her grip.

Meanwhile in tandem as the boy struggles with Shinde mid-air he proceeds to knead chakra within his mouth, converting it into water, he then proceeds to spit it out in the form of a spray directed straight into her face. As the Shuriken come sailing forth on the tides of their disengagement Ataru knew it wasn't over, seeing as the Shuriken come flying from between her fingers.

The boy twists and contorts in a whirlwind pulling away from her with the Chakra Saber now freed from their grasp and turned into his own. Not only suspecting but quickly noticing the wires attached as he dodges he quickly grasps ahold of his Master's weapon, using it to cut through and deflect them as they grow taught sending out a shower of sparks in a dazzling display born from their clash. Putting his lessons in Kenutsu to good use in the aftermath of the attack the Uzumaki lands onto the ground of the arena like a rake digging through the soil, leaving a trail as he comes to a stop across from his opponent.

His wound hurt incredibly fiercely but grew into a dull throbbing ache as the cloth around his shoulder helps it clot effectively stemming the bleeding after a handful of seconds, determined not to let it slow him down and fight his Sensei in a true one on one. He looks to the Chakra Saber and back to Shinde before tossing it away to the far edge of the arena both from their pairing as well as Tokaku and Urikohime, taking on a martial taijutsu stance beckoning a challenge to the Hatake with a waving motion of his fingers daring her to engage in hand to hand to settle things once and for all.

DESCRIPTION:

Utilizing chakra in the feet, ankles and legs specifically. It is a small amount of energy, but used precisely on reflexes and timing. This technique is gauged this way. When timed, the user can twist themselves abruptly out of the way of an attack. Like a speedy side-step, but a rotation of one's body to the side. A spin-move. This is only attacks in an immediate vicinity(three meters) anything else is too big an attack. Usually Taijutsu, but sometimes this technique is effective against close-range ninjutsu.

Now of course, Shinde couldn't tell what exactly happened through that smoke. However. She could hear it. Hear the threat that came out. It was a disturbing one, and it didn't sound becoming of a Konoha ninja. They'd proven consistently through the examination that they were the ninja with the highest amount of integrity, compassion, as well as general care and wellfare of others. That should extend to their own. This battle was beyond that of skill. It was will, and the dedication. The strengths they'd developed. Their potential as Shinobi to other villages, as well as employers that would seek to bring money to their country. Contractors far and wide.

Ataru had come to focus a bit of chakra, and with it, spat water into Shinde's face. Though...As she saw his chest expand and his stomach, she did have at least enough foresight to turn her head partially to the side as not to be fully blinded by his watery assault. Her keen senses and understanding of bodily movement letting her get enough premeditation to mitigate his blind. As they descend to the ground. They land. Her throwing stars dispersed, and with it, Shinde abandons the string. It wasn't needed anymore. With a single hand, she wiped at her face, and looks upon him, Ataru, holding her blade in his hand. It looked good with him. Though...he could use something a little shorter. Perhaps a proper tanto or a kodachi.

"Tokaku..." She says in a manner, as if to warn her. A Shinobi needed to keep their feelings in check, and restraint was an important aspect of being a ninja. Taking a deep breath. She looks upon him, looks upon Ataru and sees him truly desiring to face her hand to hand. Damn. Why did it have to be such a pain? She looked to Tokaku's general direction and knew her bloodthirst wouldn't be sated easily if she were slighted. Shinde would absolutely love to show Ataru the full courtesy of fighting him in every style. However...

She couldn't do that anymore. For Urikohime's sake probably at this point, as well as Tokaku's. Shinde was perhaps a bit disingenuous in this fight anyhow. "Well...I suppose if I'm the hairy heiress..." Taking the liberty to dash forward at a swift speed, she forms a singular handseal then. Her hair bristling and spiking up, not quite unlike Ataru's hair. Before she'd show him a jutsu that he might have never seen. Ranjishigami no Jutsu. As Shinde launches forward at him, her hair rapidly lengthens and hardens, becoming as sharp as steel as a dozen different tendrils form and look to assault him from multiple directions. From above. From the sides. As Shinde holds her handseal. Moving at rapidly alarming speeds. Assuming he was captured?

Fantastic. He could be held firmly.

If he tried to dodge on the other hand? He might be surprised to see Shinde leaping towards him with a high jump kick, her body rapidly shooting in to attempt a kick along the chest and his solar plexus as he maneuvers around her many new obstacles, to send him skidding and flying backwards along the soil, before her tendrils seek to reach out and envelop him. As for Urikohime?...Depending on if Ataru was captured with Shinde's efforts, her hair would seek her out as well, dividing their attentions once and if she could get a tendril around Ataru to ensure he wasn't going to be moving anywhere. Her opponents fought bravely. Honorably. She had no qualms there.

NAME: Ranjishigami no Jutsu - [Wild Lion's Mane Technique]

DESCRIPTION:
Chakra poured into the user's hair will extend violently, reaching out like many dense tendrils of fibers. The hair, becoming hard and tough like steel, aims to ensnare and bind targets within thirty meters, their sharpened tips boring into their bodies as it seemingly stitches them while knotting around them. This works well to halt the movements of even massive beasts, not to mention halt several dozen shinboi at once. These tendrils are capable of shaping their ends into what appears to be a lion's mouth, filled with a maw filled with razor sharp iron-rending teeth. Hungry for blood, the beastly endings to these binding tendrils work to finish off whatever prey the user may have caught. With the amount of hair created on average, shinobi are typically able toe create up to twelve individual massed tendrils of hair.

[Kayahara Urikohime]

Uriko's barrier chakra bullet hit its target, but the results were not what the green haired kunoichi had hoped for. The Uchiha was still moving, and the pain had done nothing to stop her from attacking with a kick aimed at Uriko's midsection. Not having taijutsu as one of her strong points, Uriko could not get out of the way in time, and although she managed to block the brunt of the kick with her forearm, with which she intercepted the attack, Tokaku was much bigger, and heavier, than she was. The kick knocked her to the ground, and before she knew it, she was staring up at a malice-filled face, as the Uchiha gave a threat.

What was the big deal about threatening her for throwing paper bombs at Konohagakure shinobi? In both Chuunin exams Uriko had engaged in, paper bombs had been thrown at her, and all by Konoha ninja. She glared back at Tokaku, readying herself to react; there were a few things that she probably could pull off....

But then she paused. There was no point. She had not come here to willingly antagonize her own village members, even if their quirks were not understandable by her. This wasn't just an attempt to scare her; Tokaku's expression was one of deep-seated anger. Maybe she had had some bad experience with explosive tags. It would make sense for her to react like that. Besides, all the ideas Uriko could think of would likely result in some severe damage to either herself, or both her and Tokaku. Uriko sighed and closed her eyes. "Fine, I concede," she said. "We're compatriots from the same village; we're not supposed to be making enemies of each other." She turned her head to smile apologetically at Ataru. "Sorry, Ataru-kun."

[Uchiha Tokaku]

Uriko was on the ground and Tokaku pretty much had her cornered. While she was angry, the rest of it was an act. When she heard the words, she would lower her blade "Good, I also concede. I apologize for having to put on a bit more of an act. I just wanted to take you out without having to push you or myself too hard. Now, let's both get out so we can get healed. I no longer have any interest in this fight and a shinobi should know when it's time to quit and retreat.” Tokaku said, her voice and demeanor turning back to normal.

She would toss her own katana in Shinde's direction "Shinde, catch.” She would say before trying to lend her hand and help Uriko to her feet, so they could walk out of the stage and leave her sister and the Uzumaki to fight alone, knowing her sister would probably win. Or lose, it didn't really matter to her, she was just glad the stupid exams were over for her at least. As she walked out of the stage with Uriko, holding her shoulder she would add on one thing. "Be careful with those tags in the future. My past teammate and friend was killed by them. You'd be surprised how much damage one alone can do. Keep that in mind next time.” The silver haired Uchiha explained.

[Uzumaki Ataru]

Skidding to a halt a few meters away from another, as Shinde runs forward towards Ataru he forms a singular hand seal coinciding with her own. Having paid attention to his partner as the bout went on albeit intermittently and not always able to gain a fully clear picture given the smoke and distance he hears as they both proceed to concede. Though at the same time as Shinde's attack takes shape forming into an alabaster lion's mouth filled with serrated teeth made out of hair and condensed chakra. Ataru escapes the searching tendril's within a hair's breath of a moment left to the Genin; disappearing in a haze lost amidst the extensions of chakra infused hair.

Materializing at the side in her flank as Tokaku throws her sword the boy takes out a series of Kunai throwing a handful not only attempting to block and send the supplied Katana careening away but also strike into her, he had not worked so fervently to have her rearmed on such short notice. Choosing to impact the blade with one as the others indiscriminately launch forth in a flurry of tools into her exposed side seeking to take advantage of her vulnerable state confined amongst a cocoon of hair. Tit for tat for the sword she used to cut into him...

 NAME: Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique]

DESCRIPTION:

By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation.

[Hatake Shinde]

It was in those moments that as her Ranjishigami no Jutsu comes raging forth, the dozen long tendrils flowing and looking to wrap him that he uses the Shunshin no Jutsu. 'Again?' She was surprised to hear the surrender of not just Urikohime, but Tokaku herself. What this meant? She wasn't so sure, but frankly? She didn't have too much time to ask the question. As he blurs in his movement, she found herself swiftly assessing. It wasn't anywhere to her sides, there was no above shadow overhead, not that she'd formulate him to take such a risky endeavor. That meant her peripheral. As he appears, she finds herself utilizing her jutsu masterfully. Already did she begin retracting its length as soon as he vanished from motion. 

For as he throws the knives, it was as he said, she was in a pseudo ring of her steel like hair. Twisting her body in a circular motion, she coils and tightens the hair partially with her manipulation, making her formation tighter, and as the Kunai slams against her defense, they would richochet and bounce off of her hardened hair jutsu. Shinde uses the tips of her tendrils to dig into the earth where Ataru once was, and swiftly drag and pull her swiftly away, in case he would initiate any explosions or such with tags, if there were any. When she reaches her destination, she swiftly skids back, her handseal undone as her hair returns to normal, and with distance between them renewed, she skids back and stops before her goal. Her own white chakra saber, as she picks it up. This was intentional to protect her on her journey lest he try to throw anything else in her direction.

The body flicker. A powerful technique, but it became increasingly more exhaustive and straining to the body as it was used. He'd used it twice now. A raised brow, she grasps her original blade with her right hand and takes it out from the floor. Flicking it out as she takes a deep breath. It was pretty tiring wasn't it? Well. Now they knew why they called her the hairy Hatake. Taking her sword, she gazes its length, and sees her reflection in her eyes, and then shifts it towards Ataru. "Ataru-Chan. You've come a long way."

"I'm proud of how far you've gotten. Really." She says, before gazing at everything in the arena. Her eyes taking assessment of their arena. "But don't you think it's time to call it quits?"

[Uzumaki Ataru]

His legs were really starting to burn now and it came to a surprise to the boy that Urikohime had conceded, in that moment he really wanted to do something, to thank her for everything or even just to wave as she left the arena alongside Tokaku. But there was not time for that given that he and his Master's match=up was still nowhere close to over and he still had to focus on her if he any hope of winning. Gazing upon her as she uses the sea of hair like a shield against the score of tools sent barreling towards her, as she swiftly skids back he skirts to a stop at the place where Tokaku's blade had dropped.

Weaving a series of hand seals as he retrieves the chakra saber from the ground now directing it toward Shinde as they stand-off from one another, he had really wanted to learn a bit more before standing against his sensei in an arena like this. But the boy needed to work with what they had, witnessing her use the effects of the jutsu to her advantage shielding themselves from the salvo. Amber eyes shine in contrast against her own she had been the person who taught him proper Kenjutsu swordsmanship and etiquette as he takes on a practiced stance. "Arigato, Shindei Sensei."

As they size each other up he firmly grasps along the handle's haft, the reflective coating taking in the sunshine beating down as they speak a bit back and forth. As they continue their peaceable dialogue with only a small distance held between the two it was a rather nice respite especially for his legs in an otherwise dangerous contest between the two, smiling as she praises him it was something gladdening to hear but the boy wouldn't let it go to his head nor sway him from seeking to continue this to its natural end. "Not yet, Shisho. I'm not done yet."

Using the rays of light along the tang of the blade Ataru uses the glimmer to shine reflecting it into her eyes at the same time he would proceed to charge forth determined to land something, anything or just to get a substantial exchange born from their fight. They had spent too long dancing around one another without much tangible happening, though as the thought branched through his mind as he focused on her waiting gait he felt that twinge of pain rack through their shoulder. Layering the clone over himself as he sallies forward attempting to strike out at her with an arcing slash hoping to catch them in a feint or at least clash blades should she extends her out hoping the element of surprise and illusion proved enough to land an attack on target.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user can create a handful of intangible clones to confuse the enemy. They do not contain solid mass, have no shadows and do not interact with the surrounding environment, making them somewhat easy to distinguish from the real person.

[Hatake Shinde]

When it came down to swordplay? Assuming Ataru wanted to face her in that regard? He was still a novice. Shinde gazed upon him, as he dashes forth, and in a sort of truth? She found herself getting rather detached in those moments. As he seemed prone to want to continue the fight. Shinde sharpens her eyes, gazes upon his approach, and watches him. With Ataru taking the liberty to borrow Tokaku's sword, she'd stood in place, letting him dash and run towards her. He was always the stubborn kind of kid. Though she didn't know what it was he was trying to prove. Or if it was the call of battle that allured him. Regardless? He tries to shine the light of the sun into her eyes.

To harass her vision, to which she squinted momentarily, blinking a few times as he charges forth, but frankly? She could gauge him by the sound of his steps. She'd gotten well accustomed to his movements. After all. She'd trained him in quite a bit. He rushes in, and if he so wanted to fight the conflict so bad. She'd do so, and she'd not hold back. Not in the slightest. As he moves in with his clone, she found that such a measure might have been more fruitful and meaningful if his clone had substance. Perhaps if he had the Kage Bunshin, he could be far more lethal. Or perhaps if she hadn't had trained him so fervently. Shinde observed him closely.

He was moving slower now. His muscles strained from the speed of his movement. Wasn't it? Clenching her blade, she had enough time to prepare and premeditate, and with it, she lengthens her blade, to indeed clash blades with Ataru. As he lashes inwards, she utilizes a powerful frontal slash, delivered with expert speed and precision, slamming against his blade with full force, to force his momentum to a halt, and with her taller height, as well as longer legs, she immediately lurches in, and presses against him, bearing her weight atop him. Of which she weighed nearly double he did. Before she swiftly slants and looks to kick with her right leg, sideways towards his knee, to force it to bend and slant in an uncomfortable motion, making his knee bend at an odd angle to force him down lower.

If she succeeds, she swerves the blade outwards and to the side, controlling her motion to prevent him from retaliating with a slice, before using her knee to lean in and slam him straight along the shoulder. To cause more intense and debilitating pain, and to bring him onto the floor. Ataru wanted the kid gloves to come off, and considering that? She would. Where if she succeeds in her initiatives, she'd with calm and practiced precision begin to stomp down with her foot along the ankle with a hard stomp, looking to break his bone, and to travel upwards to stomp along his knee. Her sword held in hand as she begins to release her assault and in a way her frustrations. If he wasn't going to concede, then she'd make him unable to fight.

Ataru knew as things stood and given how he currently was he stood no chance especially in the realm of combat he had seemingly chosen to wage against Shinde. He was thoroughly trounced, the difference between their abilities in regards to Kenjutsu was like night and day as well as how he was dwarfed in terms of physicality but the boy had one last trick up his sleeve and so decided to press on with his plan. As the two meet ready to clash blades the clones layered atop Ataru disconnect from the original, springing forward.

One sprints forward at the center ready to meet her in close combat coming immediately flanked by a swirl of two others that step to together in a trio of attacking bodies all wielding blades whereas the real Ataru channels a stream of chakra into their feet radiating throughout their already tired legs giving him one last second wind inducing a burst of speed leading into his final act. Bursting next to her within a single moment, in a fraction of a moment where the Uzumaki puts his all into this last attack. Fists sail out like speeding bullets attempting to strike against her body as the clang of steel meeting steel rings out having let go of the chakra saber as he rushes forward practically dead on his feet but summing up the remaining vestige of will and energy he possessed despite the blend of fatigue and pain.

Unleashing a series of rabbit punches founded in his teachings of taijutsu, the boy's mind sharpens into a zone of unadulterated focus remembering everyone up to this point that had helped him come this far - in one last bid to end things decisively or at least strike back effectively Ataru attacks Shinde with everything he has. A flurry of powerful blows fired directly into the center mass of her torso attempting to land and find purchase, a one two combo followed by an ending strike meant to hopefully collide atop the others.

NAME: Suidou Ge [Tunnel Strike]

DESCRIPTION:
The user will either use their fists or their palms and perform three consecutive and really fast strikes. These strikes are either done into the same spot consecutively (three fists to your face) or can be done one to the face, one to the gut and one to the groin.

If anything, when she came down to it, she wondered if perhaps there was a level of frustration perhaps. He had the warrior's spirit to continue fighting yes, but it wasn't to prove he was a capable ninja. There was no doubt about that at this point in time so she imagined. Instead, it was a matter of pride where he wanted to land a blow against Shinde. To the point of stubbornness. And it bothered her. Because she knew that several times in this battle, if she truly went all out, she could have killed him. She could have grasped him with the tendrils of her hair and hurled him down to the earth. She could have delivered blows far more devastating than the ones she did, and yet, he continued pressing. She felt as if she was forced to hold back, and she wondered how much longer she was going to have to do that? If the people who saw her fight saw her as less competent for her restraint now.

If it were a ninja of any other village, she felt as if she'd have sliced them to ribbons by now or broken their bones. There was level of patience she could tolerate. In other words, to an extent, it felt as if this battle was another training spar more than a true and proper battle in it's later stage. She'd seen all of his tricks. As much as Shinde hated to say it. She was bored. Even now. The thought of simply extending her saber was a simple one, To simply slash all three Atarus down like a scythe would through wheat. But she didn't. Instead, when he came closer and delivered his blows against her, and he lashed out with his small fists against her body, his fists landed against her toned body, one two, she grasps his wrist cleanly with her right hand.

Would proceed to use her leg to attempt to sweep him towards the ground, and would look down at him with a look of annoyance and a cold look. She knew him, and he was the kind of person who didn't stand down. It was to such an extent that she considered slashing his legs so he wouldn't get back up to try to hit her again, but with it, her gaze looks more like she's disappointed, or bothered by the antics of some annoying little brother. "Stop it. It's over." She says, and with it, she didn't bother to aim her blade at him, or beat him, or assault him. Instead, she felt the bruising around her stomach. This wasn't a game. Though she could see Ataru's excitement. Eagerness to prove himself.

But if it were someone else. If it were a real fight at this point. She'd have killed someone. "You've already shown me everything you can do." With it, she waited, her sword pointed upon him as she held his arm in her opposing hand. It was clear Shinde wasn't happy.

He tried his best and he lost, having given his utmost effort and wanting a clearly defined winner or loser meant everything to the budding Uzumaki. Rather than surrendering or conceding without a fight after realizing it might be fruitless the boy still wanted to try even with the deck stacked against him; wishing to see things through to a proper end. There was no bitterness or pride, perhaps stubbornness but to him it was a surefire way to gain some valuable experience in terms of learning his limits and pushing himself to the edge of their abilities with the limited arsenal he had. Yet cleverness only carries you so far... he still had a lot to learn and could use some more Jutsu and techniques under his belt.

Just like in their training back home she had been acted like a foil to him yet this time they were truly pitted against each other, perhaps she held back but nonetheless it helped him gain some valuable insight on himself as well as the areas he needed improvement in. Sighing aloud as he gets well and truly sent straight into the dirt, the boy takes on a cool, calm resigned expression and meets the fellow Konoha nin's eyes with a steely yet composed gaze. "Looks like you win. I give up, the victory is yours. I hereby concede!"

Looking up at the edge of the blade as it's tip is pointed down, levied at his throat the ebbing mixture of adrenaline and pain wreaks havoc on Ataru as he comes down from his fight verse flight response. Taking a deep breath as things subside both in the his legs and the rest of their body, he was glad to have had the opportunity to participate in the exams. To him it offered a new lease on life and broadened not only their horizons but expectations as a Shinobi.

Tokaku leveled her sword at Urikohime’s throat; between one moment and the next, there was an opposing blade blocking the weapon, keeping the sharp edge just out of reach of Uriko’s vitals. The proctor who had intervened stood nearby; both women conceded, however, and took their leave of the arena, where they would be intercepted by medics and brought to the side for check-ups and healing. The proctor stood by patiently while Ataru and Shinde continued their bout, until finally Ataru called his concession. "Match done!” The announcer hollered. "The winners are… Hatake Shinde and Uchiha Tokaku! A team match won by the last girl standing!” Shinde and Ataru would also be escorted to the medics for a quick check-up. With no other challenges in the exams to come, no effort was spared in making sure that all of the participants were hale and whole; once everyone was sufficiently patched up, they would be allowed to return to the spectator stand to watch the remainder of the day’s fights.
