Secondhand reports coming from those that had observed the interactions of operation team 23 labeled them as dysfunctional but within allowable parameters to continue carrying out missions. While not proven it is believed that the rising hostility between chuunin Tsumugi and chuunin Daigi reached a boiling point during their last mission and drove Uchiha Tsumugi to murder her teammates and defect from Konoha. The bodies were recovered somewhere between Konoha and Shukuba.

The initial bingo book entry listed her as only of a B-rank priority due to her talent in both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu and clan heritage coupled with close sightings near major cities. She has evaded most search parties since then and It’s only due to information trickling in of her moving near the northeastern border with Yu no Kuni that her threat priority was raised to A-rank.

It was reported that a person matching her description was spotted leaving Mokuzai on the road to Guru nearly a month ago. It is believed she is currently operating in or near one of the smaller fishing villages in the area.

Manabi Village was a small but a tight community that while not prospering was able to sustain itself just fine with fishing and small trade. Falling under the umbrella of Guru meant that there were currently no shinobi stationed inside the village besides ones passing by for a mission or the occasional patrol. While usually fairly friendly place there was currently a sort of tension hanging over the village.

Not as many people were on the streets and the few that were had an odd air about them with some underlines pressure making them cast weary eyes around them. The tavern of course was ever full in fact business was booming more then ever as men sought relief down the bottom of a cup.

The road between Mokuzai and Guru was well travelled but experienced eyes would notice that near where it split of in one direction towards Manabi village there were somewhat fresh marks of conflict left on it. Further down the road towards the small fishing village on the side of it one of trees would be marked with a small patch of dried blood. It served as the start of an unbeaten path through the forest.

The news of Uchiha Tsumugi being seen close to a fishing town in Guru had been good and bad news. She had committed a horrendous crime and left the village, now she needed to be brought back home and accept the punishment for her actions. Inari was one of the few genjutsu specialists in the anbu force and due to this, she was dispatched along with the young Inuzuka Unari to try and catch the missing nin. Hopefully, their combo of long range and close range would be enough.

Inari had pulled in her usual get-up consisting of the black shirt and pants with the grey vest and arm guards. Her mask was in place and mocha eyes stared out from behind it. Her hair had been tied back and tucked into her shirt, for this occasion it was one which covered her entire head so that her orange hair wouldn't give her away. [break]

Inari was travelling along the road which connected Guru and Mokuzai, a kunai grasped in one hand and her eyes on the road, every so often straying to the environment around her. She only halted when small signs of a fight became evident on the road, checking that no one was hiding in the trees or bushes before going out to investigate the traces further, hoping that Unari would be able to pick up a scent of something.

[Inuzuka Unari]

Inuzuka, Unari "Little Fang" AnBU | Chunin | Konoha Kimura Inari

The mission was simple enough, as far as Unari was concerned. a simple track and smack to get an Uchiha back. Unari had known a lot of Uchiha before they were slaughtered needlessly. His time With Hanadoki was some of his favorite. He learned a lot from her and he hoped it would come into play here. For now however, he knew they were hunting an Konoha Native. So he Used his Inuzuka jutsu to turn himself into a green hued puppy that padded softly next to Inari with his 3 ninken taking up formation around them.  It looked like a single Inuzuka coming to hunt. Unari didn't always look for what normal ninja looked for, which is why so few ninja can escape him. While Inari took her stock of the battle field Unari looked for an animal to talk to about what happened. Squirrel or bird or really anything in between would have sufficed. The Chakra that Unari naturally had was most useful with wild animals as they understand his supirority naturally and usually help him when asked. He already has an amazing communications network around Konoha, so expanding that wouldn't hurt anything. While Unari tried to make a new friend and find out what happened here, his pack remained Ever vigilant. Date's nose was in full effect, noting every chakra signature strong enough to be a ninja for 5 miles. Hana lead the way with her eyes aglow, noting every heat signature in her impressive range of vision. Niko was ever alert but not having the sensory prowess of his packmates he was ready to act.

Kimura’s investigation would reveal a few more signs of combat but the closer they got to the unbeaten path and the more she looked around she would just notice less of that and more like something had been dragged around with a few more places were blood had dried off and some pieces of cloth remained. The two ninken surrounding her for now would not pick up anything beyond animals in regards to chakra and heat signatures thought there was more a mix of scents then what was usual for a forest.

While there were a few animals scattered enough for Unari to question the only valid source he found was a hedgehog that told him the increased movements of foxes near the bright light in the night. If the team of anbu continued to investigate and head down the unbeaten path the only a few hints of something being dragged would start to disappear. Though Date would be able to pick up a signature with enough chakra to be a ninja at the edge of his senses coincidently enough in the same direction where the supposed light in the night was in.

Although it was a new arrangement Shino was already not liking this "Scout duty” he was assigned to. Sure it did allow them to actually already do two hits that were really good and made the group set for a bit. That didn’t mean he enjoyed sleeping in a damn tent and freezing his ass off because he couldn’t make a bigger fire though. All that walking and snooping around the towns as well while the rest were basking in the spoils and drinking themselves silly was grating on his nerves as well. It wouldn’t have been as bad if wasn’t for the people he was stuck with.

Shino wasn’t gonna go and complain though not after the last example the boss had made. He was not going to forget that anytime soon for sure. Hearing some rustling he cast a glance towards one of the other tents from where the disheveled form of Asuka appeared. Though his eyes only briefly stopped to look at her burned face before averting as she came to sit silently in the clearing.

His mood considerably soured and once more regretted the people he was stuck with. Damn him and his luck for drawing the duty.

"Ahhh. Now that was one glorious leak.” Echoed the voice of Kuro near one of the trees.

Shino was definitely missing the booze right now.

After her mission into the underground group, the shell which she had encased herself in had grown harder, but all the while her body seemed to grow more unreliant and on some days she felt as if all her progress had been erased and she was back at where she started this year. But today she felt as strong as ever.  Unari was doing his thing, she hadn't quite figured out what that was exactly, but she had a rough idea of it. His aura and personality beckoned the animals to avert their gaze and heed his words, much like the alpha in a pack of wolves. Or dogs. The rest of the Inuzuka's pack were on alert and scouting just as concentrated as their master and his teammate.  Inari made her way down the path and found the patch of dried blood, experienced eyes studying it, seeing as it had already dried it was far from fresh and she slipped between the trees, her footfalls light and soundless as she moved. Although the control of her body and muscles were better than most, her presence was not erased to the same point as her senior's, Senju Kazuto, presence would have been with his new suit. She kind of envied him.  Observant eyes saw the signs of something being dragged, most likely a person... She followed the signs, disturbing as few leaves and fallen branches as possible without moving at a snail's pace. Soon the trail would stop and Inari would pause. If the assailant had picked up the individual here and walked somewhere, there ought to be some scents lingering around. So instead of continuing following her own instincts and hunches, she brought her hands to her mouth and produced the sound of a white dove, the national bird of Hi no Kuni. Unari took heed the words of the Hedgehog, rewarding it with a bit of tac rations to the hedge hod as a thank you. The dense bread would feel the little guy for a week even if he was a glutton about it. As he left he made sure to let his pack do their jobs. Unari moved over to Inari's side and, while still looking like a green wolf pup, Spoke up at herThe Hedgehog mentioned something about increased movement of foxes near the bright light in the night. Given his size it could be something as small as a camp fire but still worth noting. Out of all his pups the only one not senor oriented is Niko and that's probably why he had time to think of non sensor things. Like about what it would mean when the senors actually found something and what would happen after. Niko too knew the eye powers of the Uchiha and was less optimistic about their chances against it than Unari, Rather at the very least his own chances.Soo Inari, you know if one of us get's caught up my the Uchiha or another Genjutsu User, we can't help each other with out seriously hurting anyone. The blue husky ninken's voice was serious and uncharacteristically lacking confidence. So thats kinda On you. He finished humbly A poof of smoke and Unari was not only back in his human form but he created a Shadow clone. Shush it Niko The voice came through his AnBU Mask making it sound slightly distorted.Someone took a pee and it's whafting  on the outer reaches of his nose so were going to amp that up while my clone makes a B-line for the location to scout it out. I think Everyone knows their Roles Niko Unari scolded Niko and let Inari in on his plan in one fell swoop, the kid was nothing if not efficient. With a nod to Inari Date grew from the size of a large horse to the size of a bull elephant and with his his nose could reach Ten miles. Unari hoped the boost in Date's senses would pinpoint the location for the group. The endurance actually came from a Incredibly large and insanely DENSE Chakra pool. So dense in fact that it can effect Unari direct surroundings,such as levitating rocks and earth around his feet when he becomes emotionally enraged. His Chakra has an effect on animals as well as people. Being a massive and truly savage chakra aura, animals inherently understand his savage superiority. Humans who can feel Chakra through whatever means feel as if the chakra is crushing them or weighing them down, As if forcing them down to one knee. Much closer to the camp now then before the ninken would have no trouble to pinpoint its exact location and relay it to the others. The location the shadow clone would reach if he followed the scent would be up northeast and would end up right at a tree just a little off from the camp where the bandits were in.

One of the bandits was sitting near the fire with a sheathed blade lying next to him. With black hair and brown eyes there was nothing indistinguishable about him from the average person. His posture was relaxed and his eyes only roamed around his surroundings briefly before reluctantly being pulled in conversation with the other male.

"Can you not be so crass Kuro. I know we are supposed to be bandits but do you have to reinforce the image of what we are like.”

The one named Kuro just laughed and dragged his axe with one hand before sitting next to the girl and throwing an arm around her reluctant shoulders.

"Ahhh Piss off Shino. You kno how good it is to take a leak after a good tumble. Aint that right girl.”

The brown-haired girl didn’t as much as flinch but grimaced instead, the action pulling at the palm shaped scar on her face. "Yes Kuro-sama.”

Something must have passed in those black eyes of hers because Shino slightly mimicked her expression while paling.

As this was ongoing the two males would be none the wiser of the approaching danger but if the clone had made it to to the camp and hadn’t disappeared and decided to observe it, he would be privy to this conversation. On top of that he would notice the eyes of the burned girl darting in the general direction of his location, hinting that she was probably the one with enough chakra to be a shinobi even if she didn’t alert her companions.

The young chunin was somewhat jealous of him, being able to speak with the animals had always been a childhood dream of hers. She had often chatted with the birds and tame animals around the village, though she had never received any form of answer from them.  She nodded, the mask hiding the plain face with hints of envy swirling in her mocha eyes, but to the world, her eyes remained pitch black and the envy only fueled the strange feelings of betrayal and resentment she held towards the girl they were hunting.  Her gaze moved to the blue husky as it spoke, informing Unari of the danger. Did they forget that they had a genjutsu user of their own with them? While she was ready to stab and break a bone if she couldn't release the genjutsu, she was pretty sure she would be able to protect her teammates. Dogs included. Unari laid out the plan shortly after he had released the transformation and summoned a clone. It made sense, and Inari decided to follow his example, summoning a clone of her own and going off of the other operative's information, she transformed it into a small fox. It cast no shadow and didn't disturb the environment. A small and probably useless diversion. Unari's clone was doing his job. Staying perfectly still and listening to his prey. He was close enough now that he didn't need to lay eyes on them to know their location and actions. he could smell them and hear their slightest movements. So long as he din't move he figured he would be fine. He didn't want to risk peeking and having the woman spot him. Even as a clone he could be more useful to the situation or the very least he could make first contact to see what their capable of before the real ninja's showed up. Like any great hunter, he knew to wait for just the right moment. Unari prime and his team worked their way through the forest quickly and quietly. Well as quietly as you can with a dog the size of a bull elephant but Date's agility was always surprising. the group moved through the forest with practiced precision and no one knew the forests of Hi no kuni than Unari. Unari also knew himself to know what his clone would do in this situation and that was run point until he returned the chakra and intel, that was the main use of the jutsu after all. For now he made sure not to take a direct path and that niko and Hana knew to move on cue as well, since they would undoubtedly flank group by the time he and Inari got into position, just as planned. All that was needed was to see how the group reacted to Inari's fox distraction. That would determine if Unari's clone would make his move or if he would hold his position. The whole fox distraction was a solid idea and Unari hoped to use it in the spirit intended and save themselves some trouble in the process. After all, if they can make this any easier on the non clone bodies then why not? God damnit of all the people he would have had to be partner up it had to be Kuro. Was he freaking dumb, did he not know who he was yanking around like that? Because of that idiot he was going to get caught up in the shitstorm as well.

Maybe he should just split it next time they get out in town because for sure Kuro would not be walking back to camp.

His internal panicking must have shown on his face because those infernal eyes were locked in with his and briefly flickered with something sinister. Dread began building up more and more in his gut but as she was watching him Shino couldn’t exactly reach for his sword or book it out right. Tomorrow while scouting he would leave for certain, screw the others he had done enough.

Yes, he would do it and start over somewhere new and as far away from this cursed land as his legs could carry him. Thankfully for his fried nerves Asuka broke off her staring and focused instead on something else as she pressed her fingers into the ground.

Just as he was about to release a sigh of relief Shino found the gaze of Asuka back on him again as she muttered "You always were too smart for your own good Shino.”

He had barely a moment to comprehend what that meant and, in that time, the burned girl had already broken the neck of Kuro. His hand instinctively reached for his sword as understanding dawned on him but by then it was too late and the last thing, he ever saw was the blade of the exe nearing his face before darkness.

She watched dispassionately as the bandit slammed back into the ground as the axe hit and cut into his face.

Great a month of planning to the waste in just an instant. She hated it when the act was interrupted midway. Alas only a few had the feel for it like she did but what such is life and she was adaptable if nothing else

If none of the signatures she had sensed around her had acted in anyway or showed themselves she would speak up loud enough for her voice to echo around the clearing.

"Whoever you are you can come out now. If my hunch is right then I know what you are looking for. So, let’s negotiate.”

The pleasant smile on her face and charming front she was trying to present as she said that was off set by how the handprint scar on her face scrunched up at the action.

Clad in the skin of a large bat, she would land on a branch close by the scene. She watched the scene unfold, heard the neck snap and the axe bury itself in the other companion. It left only one individual left and Inari watched her for a moment before she announced that she could see them. So a sensor...



Inari narrowed her eyes and took to the air, the currents carrying her closer to the woman, she would release the transformation when she was above the woman, already forming handseals as she moulded her chakra and felt it change and if the woman looked up she would see the masked woman disappear in a mist like fashion, assuming she had seen the handseals, she would soon find herself immobile due to a giant tree sprouting and wrapping around her. If the woman didn't see the handseal, then no tree would coil around the woman and if she didn't react in another way to the sudden presence of the anbu operative, then Inari would hastily reach into her pouch and aim to collide with the woman as her kunai buried itself into whatever meat it could, or alternatively slashed at the woman if she attempted to move out of the way.

the night was coming to its climax sooner than anyone expected but that alone but Unari on edge. Unari was always extra alert when on missions, his anbu mask secured to his face, though right now he looked like a little puppy working his way through the high foliage of the forest. His ninken fanning out to surround the woman while his shadow clone in the tree  simply hops down tot he ground in full view of the woman. He knew Inari well enough to know she operated with a deadly subtly that worked better with even the slightest distraction and thats exactly what Shadow clones are for. Making sure to keep his eyes shut the clone moved out towards the woman. You can come peacefully. He said, acknowledging that she had chosen a more violent route. Her scent and any sound she made clocked her location like a beacon to unari's well trained senses. Then inari swooped in and worked her magic,as smooth as velvet, she dropped out of the sky above the woman. No matter how she moved, the woman would be taken. If the genjutsu worked she would be immobile and the situation would progress from there, if she moved however she would find her self assaulted from all sides by 2 Unari's and his pack. On Unari's mark They would use their clans signature jutsu to maim the woman with rapid hit and run tactics. They needed her alive not in one piece so if she was missing a arm or leg or both it wouldn't matter. She could only internally sigh in exasperation and amusement the moment she realized there would be no negotiations for now, it seemed Konoha shinobi never changed. Honestly walking out and stating that she could come in peacefully while an ambush was being sprung on her at the same time. Well if that’s how the play was going to go then so be it.

Although she knew a blow was coming from above, she showed no outward reaction instead pretending to solely focus on the Anbu operative standing in front of her. Adopting a baffled expressing and mixing in some panic along side anger she asked "Come in peacefully!?”

Her dedication to maintaining the roll until the very last second insured that there was only very little distance between her and the falling enemy shinobi before she actually acted in any matter. Turning around to face the falling woman would probably signal the other Anbu agent to attack but it was too late as chakra was already coursing through her body as she vanished in a blur.

It wasn’t an attempt to back away or try to escape but instead Asuka jumped up in a try to barrel into the falling Inari. If successful she would attempt to grab the other woman’s hands to restrict her movements and prevent her from getting stabbed while also attempting to cling as close as she could.

Hopefully that would have dissuaded the other person from continuing their attack. If she wasn’t successful, she would instead form the hand seals for the replacement jutsu while trying to minimize the damage she would receive by the oncoming attacks.

Continuing the play Asuka would adopt an enraged expression as she moved regardless of which outcome occurred and shout out "You fucking tree huggers! I am trying to point you in the crazy bitch’s direction before she actually skips the border!!!”

DESCRIPTION:

By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, and any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. 

Kimura Inari , Inuzuka Unari

You have me on the run. Her technique didn't hit, so instead the masked Inari would resort to a physical attack. The sudden appearance of the enemy in her fall, would make Inari bring her guard up, the enemy's hand closing around her forearm on one arm and another hand found her elbow. Inari gritted her teeth and looked for Unari for a second. Inari would wrap a strong set of legs around the enemy's midsection, holding them in place. "Now!" Her voice was slightly distorted by the mask. Mentally Inari prepared herself for the attack, she assumed Unari would launch towards the enemy. With her legs locked around the other and the opponent's hand preoccupied with Inari's hands, where one had a kunai ready to strike, the other would either have to submit or Unari would make sure this one didn't hinder their job.  If Unari didn't launch an attack despite Inari's close proximity with the opponent, Inari would make use of the eyeholes in her mask and stare at the opponent, determined to catch her eye, so she could cast her next jutsu. The chance of it not happening was slim despite the mask, if it was successful the other would find that their body was frozen, bound by an unseen force.  SPOILER: Click to show NAME: Genjutsu Binding [Genjutsu Shibari] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Medium (Low Drain to maintain) CLASSIFICATION: Genjutsu TRIGGER: the user glares at the enemy, and if the enemy is looking at the user's eyes they're bound by this genjutsu DESCRIPTION: As the name suggests, the user binds the opponent in a genjutsu, rendering them incapable of movement; and this genjutsu can be used on more than one target at the same time. Unlike other genjutsu that use illusory objects to stop movements, this genjutsu simply affects the target's sense of touch to make it feel as if every inch of their body surrounded by hardened cement, effectively paralyzing the target. Unari watched from his low vantage point. His green fur blending intot he low shrubbery and leafage that he could only be seen by trained Shinobi eyes. His clone had her occupied so Unari focused on something, other than the combat that was about to happen. He focused on the heart beats of the bodied. Trying to detect through enhanced hearing if they were truly dead. Unari didn't like surprises so while he listened for their heartbeats his used his nose to sniff out ANYTHING out of the ordinary and Unari knew the area exceedingly well. His stillness was that of only the truest hunter of man and beast could attain and he has already proven himself to be one of Konoha's top trackers, at least in this forest. The clone however was doing more dramatic things as the Uchiiha hurled herself at Inari, the plan was pretty well set. I was here when you killed your friends, lying just proves your guilt.He said coldly beneath his mask as me made a few fast and perfected handseals Unari moved towards the woman and Inari at incredible speed. If everything went accordingly Unari's would use his increased strength, speed and agility to grab the Uchiha's hands(squeezing probably hard enough to crush bones) and pull then behind her with a twist upwards to not only complete an improvised Taijutsu Hold where he uses his short stature to crouch and press his feet against the middle of her back. If she managed to substitute away this would put Unari in a position ot grab Inari and throw her Hana Had her heat vision activated and would be able to track her movements wherever she went and with a simple bark Niko and Date would be crashing into her location like fierce drills of incredible power encircling her location and crisscrossing at random times. All the while the real Unari was perfectly hidden taking in every facet of his environment so that he could make the right call and keep the team from being surprised. NAME: Shikyaku no Jutsu [Four Legs Technique] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low/constant CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu HANDSEALS: 3 REQUIREMENTS: All previous versions of Shikyaku no Jutsu [Four Legs Technique] DESCRIPTION: This form increases the entire physical nature of their body, such as speed, agility, endurance, and strength. Along with their four-legged stance, their features change to be rather similar to a dog. This includes their eyes becoming more slanted, their nails and teeth growing, and their pupils become slits. With this form's need to keep chakra moving over the body, it has a steady drain on the Inuzuka's chakra. Much like its parent jutsu of the same name, the Inuzuka envelopes their body with chakra and can lower onto their hands and feet, taking a stance like they’re a wild animal; by utilizing more chakra than its parent jutsu, however, the user can achieve more drastic effects. At this rank, the boost is equivalent to a fully realized special ability for each of the affected abilities: speed, agility, endurance, and strength. This attack is more powerful when preformed with Ninken; however, the cost must be paid for each ninken using this jutsu. I'm literally Using all of his SA's right now but this seemed the most prudent to put in here Special Ability #5 Four Legs Mastery- Having devoted most of his efforts towards using and improving his clans signature ninjutsu, Unari has come to understand the jutsu in a way that ,few if any, ever have. His mastery of his clans jutsu has led to his jutsu being leagues stronger than others in his clan.
