DESCRIPTION:

There are two different methods that the user can utilize this technique, with the requirements varying between whichever method the caster decides to use this technique. Whatever the case, both techniques involve the user grappling themselves or an opponent in some manner. The first method revolves around the usage of hand seals, specifically the bird, to pour chakra into their out fit to create a thread-like tendril. They can then use the thread-like tendril to wrap an around an object, and then manipulate or grapple said object. This method requires low chakra out put, and the thread has the strength of steel. The second method utilizes the multi-silk accessories technique, and for that reason it cost less and requires no hand seals (as the tendrils are already formed). To utilize this method, the user would need to gesture to the object or person, and then clench their fist. The action will cause a tendril created from the parent technique to reach out and wrap around the target, which they can then grapple. In any case, both methods have similar combat applications. Some applications include, pulling the caster to a specific object, using the tendrils to swing from object to object, pull an opponent to the caster, or to throw an opponent away from the caster.

DESCRIPTION:

A unique technique created by Tomura after observing an a octopus, this technique is the parent to most of Tomura's custom made techniques. To activate the technique, Tomura will pour chakra into his coat, and transform the six of the fake silk feathers made from warucihi clan silk into tendril-like constructs. Tomura can manipulate these tendril-like constructs almost like they were an extra appendage, with minimum movement required to manipulate the fake feather tendrils. These tendrils can be used in combat to strike one or multiple opponents, and to defend Tomura from attacks. However, the tendrils cannot defend all of Tomura's body at one time, and these tendrils can only defend what Tomura can see or what is he aware of.  These tendrils can defend against A-rank taijutsu or bukijutsu attacks, but they can only defend against B-rank ninjutsu attacks. The tendrils can also be used as a medium to caste other clan or silk based manipulation techniques. The length of each of these tendrils is about 15 meters, while the width may be around 6 to 5 inches. While the initial cost to caste the technique is relatively high, the upkeep is relatively low. Take note, the durability of the tendrils is similar to Titania and for that reason, they are subjected to the same flaws as titanium, but nonetheless they are hard to break.
