[Yusuke Sarutobi]

In the middle of training ground 17 stood a circle of wooden poles sticking out of the ground. Each was roughly two stories tall, and roughly a foot wide. Twelve of them towered around the concrete circle like the numbers of a massive clock. In the center of the circle was a firepit, the location intended to be a place of rest or camping during overnight trainings.

It was shortly after sunrise, and already the day promised to be a rather pleasant one. Clouds floated lazily by as a decently warm breeze blew through.

"Damnit!" A voice rang out.

Yusuke Sarutobi was balancing on one of the twelve poles. He held himself upside down using one arm planted on the top of the pole to balance and sweat poured over him. His jacket lay discarded on the ground and his bare chest rose and fell with his labored breaths.

Kazuto had been training him, and Yusuke had attempted to keep the regiment going even while his best friend and mentor was away. He wore his weighted bracers on his arms and the weighted greaves on his legs. Each was impressively heavy alone, but together the set had taken him plenty of time to adjust to. On his back was a backpack, something Kazuto had started.

The pack weighed roughly five times what Yusuke himself did, and his first experience with the thing had been an intense March through the village and into the forest. It hurt like hell to lug around and his shoulders were always sore for days afterwards, but he couldn't argue with the results.

He felt his arm begin to twitch as it gave in from holding all the weight. One hour of balancing on the arm had Yusuke nearly ready to quit, and he had already done the same with his left. He bent the arm and pushed off the pole, launching himself into the air.

He soared over the firepit and flipped, landing on his left foot and assuming a crane stance. This was his regiment for the morning. Each limb supporting the full weight of him and his equipment for as long as he could hold it, flip to another pole and use another limb, rinse and repeat. His leg slipped slightly as he fought for balance and then he extended his arms, holding them out.

[Utsuki Yurako]

Yurako was up and ready as soon as she could be and heading to the training grounds. Her shower was done in a flash, still doing as Miho instructed and would take showers to make sure her muscles and such were loose. Something like that. She wasn't too knowledgeable on the human body, so she couldn't remember exactly what Miho told her the hot baths were for. At the very least she would smell good before she went out to train.

With her stomach full as she snacked on some protein bars and chips, plus a soda she was ready to go by the time she reached the training grounds. However, she would see that there was a shirtless guy already there, with a heavy appearing backpack strapped to him. He was balancing himself on one pole of many, forming a circle. He looked like he was definitely training quite hard. She watched in awe as she got closer to him, her long ears twitching, getting closer to him.

"Woah! What kind of training is this?! I never have seen it before! Who are you by the way! Would you like to train with me!" She'd ask the blonde-haired boy, her loud motor mouth talking at a rapid speed as she excitedly watched him.

[Yusuke Sarutobi]

Maintaining proper balance on the poles required deep concentration, will, and focus. Yusuke rested on his leg, arms outstretched as he reached inward to find the peace and state of mind required to hold the pose for as long as he could. His eyes slid shut.

A voice called out to him and his leg shook for a moment as he was jarred out of his concentration. He looked down from the pole and saw a young girl standing on the ground looking up at him. She had spoken in a rush and it took Yusuke a moment to process her words. He grinned and rolled forward.

His tumbled brought him halfway down the pole and he planted his hands on the wooden beam, pushing himself off into a flip. He landed a little off from the girl, the ground cracking under the weight of him.

He glanced over at the girl taking her in. She wore a black crop top, exposing her abdomen and her legs and arms were both wrapped in white bandages. The most distinguishing characteristics however were the red eyes looking at him and the bunny ears topping her head. Still grinning Yusuke offered a wave and approached.

"Hey there. Snuck up on me. How are ya?" He said.

He extended his arm to her for a shake.

"I'm Yusuke Sarutobi. As for what I'm doing, its balance and strength training. And of course you can train with me." He said, mentally ticking off each question she had asked to ensure he had provided an answer.

"Who are you? What brings you out here?" He asked in turn.

[Utsuki Yurako]

When the blonde-haired boy finally noticed her, being broken out of his concentration, he would look down at her before rolling forward and a basically flipping off of the beam, landing in front of her, his weights cracking the ground below. It was just like when she did weight training. She always wore weights, making herself far heavier than what people would expect when looking at her. She returned his wide grin with her own as well as his wave.

"Heya Sarutobi Yusuke, I'm Utsuki Yurako of the Utsuki clan! I'm here to do speed training! You look strong! Would you mind helping me? I've been trying to brainstorm some newer and safer ways to train my speed! I can't become the fastest kunoichi out of the five nations until I get faster, ya'know!" She said in another rapid-paced assortment of words. She had been looking for newer ways to train after Miho told her she needed to find ones that weren't so tough on her body.

She didn't want to go back on her word after she gave it, as long as she was capable of keeping it, she would strive to until she died. "Is Sarutobi a clan? If so what can they do? I always love to learn about other's about clans." She said and asked in excitement, curious about her new friend.

[Yusuke Sarutobi]

Yusuke pulled a towel out of a side pocket of the backpack and began drying off the sweat in his face and chest as the girl spoke. This time he was prepared for her rapid speech and caught most of it immediately. She was a bubbly thing, energetic, and her claim to become the fastest kunoichi in the five nations brought a chuckle out of Yusuke. Shoot for the moon and you will land amongst the stars they say.

"Course I'll help. Pleasure to meet ya Yurako.

He pondered for a moment how exactly he could help. As the girl spoke again he felt the solution slide into his head. Time to teach her a lesson he had been forced to learn himself very recently.

" Sarutobi is a clan. We are pretty run of the mill though, no fancy ears for us." He said with a laugh as he walked over and collected his flak jacket.

He unstrapped the backpack and let it fall, smashing into the ground. He donned his flak jacket, leaving it open as usual and cracked his back.

"Whatcha say we play a training game?" He asked.

His hands formed a single seal.

"Unbound." He whispered. The bracers and greaves on his limbs clicked open, falling to the ground.

He felt light as the breeze and rubbed his wrists as he spoke again.

"You wearing any weights? If so, shed em. For this we want to be as fast as possible." He said with a mischevious grin.

[Utsuki Yurako]

Yurako happily watched him take off the heavy backpack and dry the sweat off with his towel, bouncing in place a little and even doing a slight spin as he agreed to help her increase her speed. Both of her clans were known for going quite fast and she wasn't going to let herself be the exception. When he explained that the Sarutobi clan didn't do anything special she wasn't surprised at all. "Eh, not a big deal. My dad's clan does nothing special either. Though they are known for being quite fast though~!" She would tell in return.

By the time the backpack fell, causing the ground underneath to crumble, she still wasn't phased, only staring at him in awe. He placed on his flak jacket, not even zipping it up and would have more weights drop from his arms, all while asking if she wanted to play a training game with him. She would excitedly nod her head and did as he instructed, sitting down on the ground and started off by taking off her legwarmers that covered her weird legs and her own training weights.

"Don't worry, I'm as light as a feather without them! I hope you can keep up is all." She said proudly boasting about her speed. She knew that the Sarutobi would probably faster than she was but she had confidence in her abilities. She removed the two six-hundred pound weights as she commented on him, placing them gently as she could next to her. The weights would be met with the ground with a loud thud upon contact, showing him she wasn't a slouch when it came to her training.

Now free from her restraints, Yurako got back up quicker than usual before doing some stretches to loosen up her muscles. "Ready when you are, Yusuke-sensei!" She shouted, giving him a thumbs up.

[Yusuke Sarutobi]

Yurako had a bubbly, contagious energy to her. Bouncing about and even doing a spin out if sheer excitement. It was refreshing for Yusuke, reminding him of his own boundless energy and enthusiasm growing up at the circus. Her comment about her father's clan brought out a bark of laughter from the Sarutobi. She had his bluntless as well.

She began removing her weights, boasting as she did.

"I'll try not to fall to fat behind." he said chuckling.

His brow rose as he heard the solid thunk of her weights being set down. The girl was serious about weight training. Yusuke had started the process a while ago now, and had found success with it. He wondered how much farther he would be had he put the effort in to start at her age.

As she rose he reached down and pulled out a small roll of bandage from inside the backpacks side pocket. As she spoke and gave him a thumbs up he unrolled the bandage and tore of a section roughly a foot long.

"Alright then Yurako. Your goal is to take this strip of bandage." Yusuke said, clipping the fabric to his belt."Use whatever skills you got, and really show me that speed!"

A wide grin spread across his face.

"Begin!"

[Utsuki Yurako]

Yurako smiled as he laughed a little at her comment on his clan. She would nod as eyes would narrow in focus, as he stated he wouldn't fall too far behind. She was getting herself ready as he was too, pulling out a white strip of bandage and would hold it in hand for a minute. He wanted her to grab the bandage, as he stripped it to his belt. She would nod again and give him a thumbs up. He wanted everything she got? It was a good thing her training was bringing her somewhere.

She wanted to use new jutsus and show off a little as well. "Got it! Just watch me go!" She said with a wink before she started to hop in place to build up some momentum. The moment he said go she would dig into her pouch and search for her smoke bomb, pulling it out and gripping it with her fist, all while still hopping on the ground. Once she felt ready, she charged at him with her now built up momentum, aiming to do a simple straightforward but quick bouncing and grab the cloth from him.

"Don't blink Yusuke-sensei!" She shouted. Even if she missed, she wouldn't quit moving in her hopping motion, unless she was floored or otherwise.

[Yusuke Sarutobi]

Yusuke watched as Yurako seemed to focus in on the upcoming task. The only remnants of the almost frantic energy she displayed before was the hopping she did as she prepared for the exercise to begin. Having never seen her in action before, Yusuke knew he would need to fight conservatively and stay on guard of he intended to teach her anything. After a brief moment he took a fighting stance and smiled.

"Begin!" he called.

He was pleasantly surprised to see the girl's swiftness as she charged him. Her charge was direct and even though she was rapidly approaching him it was clear her intentions. As she bounced towards him Yusuke took a simple step to the left, brining up his left leg. His torso turned, pulling his right side and the strip of bandage away from the girl. His left leg shot out with blinding speed, aimed to slam into the girls shoulder and drive her off balance and to the ground with its force.

If she dodged, or if the attack impacted Yusuke would continue with the momentum of the kick, beginning a spin as his left foot would be drawn back in for an instant. His left foot would flick back out towards the hand the girl held clutching an object, intending to impact it and disarm her.

Yusuke grew up traveling and working with his mother as a performer before attending the academy. These fundamental developmental years were spent weaving between stage hands and learning dances for musical numbers. This has given Yusuke an inherent sense of his own body and it's movements. He is incredibly flexible and capable of stretching his body to an almost obscene extent.
