Once everyone was in position the group would be on their way. Kazui to the left of the caravan, one counterpart in front, the other on the onside adjacent to her, and the team leader was behind them all. As they moved onward, things started to get extremely bland and boring for everyone. It was quiet, well at least to the Uchiha. No one said anything to one another and mostly remained to themselves, she didn’t know if it was because they were nervous or they just didn’t want to socialize. She could understand the latter reasoning however. The sounds of nature filled the areas they trudged through, from animals playing, stalking, and sleeping to the wind brushing past them all and rustling the leaves and bushes that were nearby, it was more peaceful than anything and Kazui found no problem with the relative quietness. She walked lightly as she noticed the smallest things about nature, until the group came to a stop.

Kazui would bring herself back to focus on everyone at hand, stretching both arms up in the air as she took a deep breath to rejuvenate and alert herself. The hour that they traveled seemed to go by faster than she expected, but still they had something to do. Dark hues danced around the group as the girl began to take in everyone’s expressions, Satoshi was as bored as he was before they left Konoha, Daitan seemed relieved, and Ayukawa well, she always appeared upbeat and happy. Kazui listened to the traveler’s conversation, before she began to walk over to Ayukawa before watching Daitan run off in a hurry.

"I guess we’ll have to wait for him.”

She would say softly as the Suna girl went on to do her tracking and what not. In the meantime, Kazui just stood beside Satoshi, awaiting any order he may have had, yet at the same time she would keep an eye out for her actual teammate. Her mouth pursed to the side as she gently kicked the ground beneath her feet, she was waiting and then the sounds of screams pierced the relatively quiet and peaceful area. Without much hesitation, Kazui would dash towards the screams. ’What in the hell did he get himself into?’ She would ask herself silently before she saw him getting closer and closer, his pleas for help would fall on deaf ears as Kazui sighed and turned back around, all of that for a simple frog.

A hand softly rested beneath her chin, cupping her cheek as she waited for Ayukawa.

"Did you find anything yet?”

[Nara Satoshi]

This is so troublesome But I guess I’ll do it.

Satoshi could say that despite her carefree appearance once he gave the order, Ayukawa actually took it seriously and got to it. That was useful thing to note. The Sarutobi on the other hand was maybe too carefree and probably lucky that it was him and not anyone else leading to mission.

After all Satoshi did know there was nothing too dangerous around besides the wildlife unlike what could have been another shinobi besides maybe a Hyūga or some trackers as leaders for the mission. Before he told him, it was probably not a good idea or at very least to not go too far away the boy was off running.

At that the nara did finally pinch his nose and sigh a bit before quietly muttering.

"He is lucky there isn’t anything around that could probably seriously hurt him.”

Pausing he did turn his intention towards the Uchiha a small smirk pulling at his lips as he continued louder in an amused tone.

"His teammates are going to have their hands full with that one Huh?”

His statement was further strengthened by said person running out of the forest with a frog on their face. Satoshi couldn’t resist the strangled chuckled that escaped him. Seeing though his other teammate was not going to help Daitan the Nara did a quick hand seal and channeled chakra into his shadow.

Coming alive the shadow quickly surged and connected with that of the Sarutobi. Instantly the genin would freeze before his body assuming the stance of Satoshi. His own hand darting up and doing a grabbing motion would be repeated by Daitan making him grab the frog. With another mimicked motion the amphibian would be thrown to the side.

With that done Satoshi would release the jutsu and return control to the genin before eyeing him somewhat sternly and speaking.

"Troublesome, you really shouldn’t run off like that you know. I know I said there isn’t anyone around and that I am not uptight but that doesn’t mean you should disregard your surroundings like that."

"What if on the next mission you are not with someone like me and someone took advantage of what you just did. What if it ends up costing you? Worse what If it ends up costing your teammates. Then what?”

Pausing for a moment the Nara couldn’t help but release another sigh as he pretty much ended up trying to lecture the genin when Daitan’s own jounin sensei would haven take care of it eventually. But it was just Satoshi right now so after briefly rubbing at his neck he would continue speaking.

"Still it’s better that it is here and now that I can say it. It is why missions like this are for. To help you learn important lessons and get experience. Get you thinking that it’s now more then you in the equation."

"What I said is not enough nor would it truly sink in right now. I know it didn’t for me back then but try and keep what I said in mind and be more careful going forward yeah?”

Satoshi would make sure his eye moved to meet the rest of the genin regardless if they were turned towards him.

"It goes for all for you.”

He did also feel a bit bad because he wasn’t sure if Ayukawa would manage to hear all of what he said. Yeah, she wasn’t part of the village but the Nara didn’t want to seem like he was excluding her from anything since she was from another village because as far as it counted, she was sort part of his team right now.

Hopefully she would also have found something by now because Satoshi was certain things were about to go a bit awkward and that would such a pain.

DESCRIPTION:

The basis of all the Nara Clan techniques. The use extends their shadow over any surface in an attempt to connect with an enemy's shadow. Once they touch, the shadow's merge, connecting the target with the user. The target is then forced to imitate the movements of the user. On its own, the range of this technique is approximately thirty yards. However, with each use the Kage Mane yields diminishing returns; this loss in length is approximately a yard per use.

Kagura Shingan [Kagura Mind's Eye]

After exploring his innate sensory abilities and thanks to his perfect chakra control Satoshi was able to unlock the Kagura Shingan. This ability allows him to find, sense, and track individuals through their chakra over vast range that exceeds ten kilometers. His able to achieve this effect by focusing and opening his mind's eye, though due to the low chakra cost Satoshi is able to keep it active passively at all times (Range is 15km) and increase the range even more with the use of the jutsu(25km). The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including him, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, Satoshi can perceive its location and movement with great detail allowing him to track the movements of even those that are faster than him.

Follow the Path "Honestly..I'm more surprised he held it in this long..." Her tone was much more serious as she appeared to be focused on trying to get a scent of her prey. It was clear that when it came to tracking, Ayukawa didn't play around. Her whole demeanor seemed to shift into a serious hunter as she began to graze her hand across the very ground, her body crouched as she spoke to Kazui, purple hues narrowed and centered upon locating any patterns and possible traces of the creature she was searching for. Wild cats, even these ones, still had habits and with them held clues. It was why they were so commonly known to eat frogs. They'd move to the location in which they were most populated as a means to have something to help with keeping their diet in tact. Nature always had a way of balancing things out, it was simply the way of the world. It was similar to that of shinobi and with people in general. Even Ayukawa behavior could be explained as she was so light at one point, but heavy at a moment's notice... Because demeanor and attitude counted on a hunt. If you weren't prepared, you got hurt or died. She'd seen it once, and she promised that it would never happen to her. As the sudden outburst of Daitan from the wilderness startled some of the travels save from Satoshi and Kazui, Ayukawa remained relaxed as she released a heavy sigh upon smelling that the frog was no more than a local, not a poisonous one from the odor that emitted from him....along with the stronger scent of Daitan after he likely left some small trace of himself upon his clothing after the scare. Trickle down effect was common among males..especially the easily frightened ones. Still, her focus was on that of her target, even as the Nara spoke. It was..inspiring...similar to how the Saeko Clan was. You had to be able to depend on your group...be it family or friends...that meant giving your best...and expecting the same of them. With the Uchiha still in wait, and likely everyone else, Ayukawa would rise up as she began to point south, her eyes still narrowed as she began to speak. "It moved half way through the river, likely hunting for it's dinner...then finally began to cluster with a few others of it's kind for warmth during the evening....as the sun rose..they would then move further out to get their next meal...still keeping to the water as a means of nuriousment as there are few areas this close to the border that have a steady water supply....If we keep moving in that direction...we'll find the next clue...and likely...the cat...and the flower as they would have already consumed their meal..." Straightening her posture, the girl would seem to quickly shift gears as she turned towards Kazui, holding up her bag with a grin. "Speaking of meals! DO YA WANNA BEAN BUN!? Come on! One of these and you'll be so happy! I mean it! Their like a bean in a bun! Whats up with that!?" Her cheery demeanor renewed, Ayukawa would stick her tongue out as she finally retrieved the bag from her sack, holding it up with glee as though she had found a buried treasure. "Dadada DAAAAAA!!"

As he ran closer to the group, he heard the reactions, and he would take a mental note, though he wouldn't say anything, he was still pretty terrified. Then, just as the boy thought it was all over, something stopped him. He didn't know what it was, but mentally, he was definitely still freaking out. Suddenly, his hand was raising up by it'self, and it grabbed whatever was on his face. As he threw it to the side, Daitan's eyes would look towards the direction that his hand had just been in, realizing it had been a frog the entire time, he sighed a sigh of heavy relief. Then he would look towards his own shadow, and when he realized that it was suddenly longer, he would follow the trail, realizing that the Nara clan member had used his clan's signature jutsu in order to help him get the frog off of his face.

He knew he was in for it when Satoshi made eye contact with him, the boy could see it on his face that he was going to get a stern talking to. As Satoshi let him have it, his face was suddenly very sad, now realizing that maybe he had did something wrong. He just really needed to pee, was he supposed to just do it in front of everyone? There were girls here. He had been taught to respect girls. 

When Satoshi finished speaking the first time,  Daitan would nod his head, still looking pretty upset about the whole situation. When he finished speaking the second time, the boy would look less upset but you could definitely tell that he was beating himself up on the inside. "Y-yeah, I get it.."

The boy would sit down where he had previously been sitting, crossing his legs and placing both hands underneath his chin as he waited for Ayukawa to get done doing whatever she had been doing. He hadn't really been paying attention since he was.... Busy when she had first started. When the girl suddenly rose up and pointed, Daitan would look in the direction she was pointing in as she explained her findings, and the boy would nod his head, his eyes opening a bit, he was actually impressed. Then, just as quickly as she had went into hunter mode, he noticed that her demeanor changed again. Then, a familiar smell hit his nose again. Those bean buns again, and this time, it seemed like they might be able to actually get one this time. 

The boy's body did the same thing it did the first time, almost appearing to float off the ground as he would begin to get closer to the other two Genin. When the boy found himself within their vicinity, his feet would touch the ground again, a big, almost frightening smile on his face as some drool began to show grazing his lips. Wiping the slobber away, he would then turn his attention to Ayukawa.

"A-Are these for everyone?"

Kazui sighed internally as she watched Daitan make his way from the group and into the uncharted wilderness that surrounded them, as she stood next to Satoshi, the girl would hear the mumbling of his word, yet she didn’t catch what he said completely, all she did know was that if it was about the Sarutobi, then she agreed. The internal sigh led to a deep breath escaping from the girl’s lips as she listened to Satoshi speak of the boy in a joking tone.

"Yeah..”

The girl would start softly as she began to scratch the top of head, thinking over the fact that she was his teammate and that she would probably be dealing with the majority of his shenanigans. Her eyes quickly darted to the side as she continued.

"..Unfortunately.”

As the boy returned to where the rest of the group was held up, he would scream as a rather friendly frog found its way on his face. She was genuinely concerned until she learned that the frog was the cause of his screams. Kazui stepped back and as she did so, Satoshi would hold back laughter as he used his shadows to control the boy, tossing the frog to the side, and calming Daitan down, at least on the outside. ’Poor frog.’ Kazui would think as the Nara quickly began to give the group a lesson. Great, now they were all being grouped in with him for his actions.

"Understood.”

The girl would say, and as she did so it seemed as if Ayukawa found a lead. They were south? That’s all the Kazui needed to know. The girl would stretch before readying herself to travel some more, but Ayukawa was persistent on sharing the bean buns that she had packed. Kazui shrugged, and finally gave in.

"Sure..just one.”

The Uchiha would say as she held both of her hands out.

Seeing as all of his teammates absorbed what he was saying to some extent Satoshi decided it was going to be good enough for now when it came to lecturing. He didn’t want them thinking he was too much of pain now.

Instead the nara decided to listen to the findings of Ayukawa while not saying much of anything beyond nodding in understanding. He would allow some time for the genin do wrap up whatever antics they got up to and to finish what they were doing at leisurely enough pace.

After he was sure they had wrapped things up well enough he would speak up.

"Alright then everyone let’s get going.”

Heading the directions the Saeko had given out, Satoshi would lead the group south looking for the place where the cats would be. Unless he was directly asked something, for the most part, he would be silent. Nothing much would happen as they moved through the forest area until finally seeing the first signs of the river.

There were still no signs of the cats though the group had still not exactly reached the specific spot. Deciding to follow the river upstream Satoshi would mention for the rest to follow him. The terrain would get somewhat more uneven as it grew denser with vegetation and rose somewhat in elevation.

Finally, after a few more minutes of walking the nara would begin to more clearly see what was a moderately sized waterfall and more importantly in the clearing next to the cats themselves. Stopping briefly and analyzing the situation Satoshi would decide on a course before voicing out a few commands to the genin.

"Alright guys we reached the spot so you better be ready. Daitan go scare the cats away after that you can join Ayukawa in searching the surroundings for the flower. You can probably start on that right now yeah Ayukawa?”

Taking a pause to see if both of the genin understood what he was asking of them Satoshi would turn to the Uchiha and continue speaking.

"I would like you to walk up next the waterfall and see if any of the flower are growing on some of the rocks along the way or if there are any on top of the waterfall itself. You are the only able to so give it a go, seeing as more samples we get the better it would be.”

Follow the Path "You'll love em! Their super great! " The excitement in her voice betrayed her easily as she quickly reached into the bag to draw out one of the buns, placing it within Kazui's waiting palms before turning to see Daitan waiting for the same thing. With her grin seeming to spread over her face, the girl would shrug her shoulders as she her eyes closed in delight. "Of course silly! Food always tastes better when you eat it with others! My mom always says that and its totally true!" In doing the same for him, she'd offer it in a similar fashion to both Satoshi and the rest of the group before they began their travels once more. Though now, it seemed as if the intension between the group had started to lessen. Sure, they were all focused upon the mission, but Ayukawa wanted to believe that now they would be able to open up a bit more around one another. At the very least, it made it easier for her. The sharing of a meal was similar to that of making friends back home. After all, if you hunted together and managed to get a kill through teamwork, you would naturally share the benefits. In this, she was sharing her victory in the form of bean buns as to show her openness to the group despite them coming from different backgrounds and villages. It was a small step, but a step none the less... So as they proceeded in the directions that she had directed them toward, the dark haired female would begin to open up between the two Genin, talking to them of Sunagakure and of her life within the desert with her clan. She had even gone so far as to tell them a story of the first time she had encountered a wild Lion. "There I was! Eyes to eyes! The beast nearly twice my size, burning red eyes glaring into me! He laid itself close to the ground, tail raised in readiness..and I had only my kunai and the fish I had collected from the oasis...If I left the fish, my family would go hungry for the night...but if I took on the lion, I was sure to die from one swing of it's massive paws!" Clenching her fingers in and out of her palms to put more visionary flare into her story, she'd look over at Kazui and Daitan, her teeth bared as if she were to be the very creature itself. "I had only one idea left...and so..." It was at that point that Satoshi seemed to draw attention to the area, prompting the girl to blink as she looked around her. Time seemed to fly when you were talking to people, and it almost made it feel like they had barely moved a second ago. As she noted the familiar smell of the cats, as well as the echo from the waterfall, her eyes would grow wide as she took in the sight in amazement. "Wowwwwwww...soo coollll..its just like a bathtub...but in nature..." Honestly, water sources like this were so rare, that when she came to Sunagakure for the first time and saw a bathtub, she was near dumbfounded on how to use it until her brother showed her. Still, there was little time for her to gawk for too long, as she had a task to complete. As someone with the best senses, she was being sent to look for the flower itself, having to use the faint traces of it and the description provided for a guide. In nodding her head, the Saeko girl was off, making sure to stick to cover until Daitan had managed to scare off the group of felines. It was required, as the moment that they caught whiff of her, they'd become territorial quickly. So as she began her search from the shadows, she'd continue to lie in wait, hoping the boy would be up to the task.

As Ayukawa gently placed the snack into Kazui’s waiting palms, the girl would quickly begin to inspect the bun, turning it slightly and taking in all the details she possibly could about it. ’It sure smells good.’ The Uchiha would think to herself as she brought it closer to her face. The girl would then take a small bite as she watched the Suna kunoichi go on to offer the rest of their entourage one as well, and with that the group were soon on their way.

"I have to say..this isn’t so bad.”

Kazui would say softly as she took another bite. She wasn’t a huge fan of sweets but having them every now and again wasn’t such a bad thing. Once she finished, she would return to her quiet self as she waited for further instructions from the team leader, Satoshi, who also seemed to be rather quiet as well which was more or less expected, especially since they were in the middle of a mission, there was no need to be all chattery and what not.

The group continued through the forest for a while until they eventually came across the signs of the river that was nearby, yet there were no cats present, which led the group upstream. The group continued on that route for what seemed like a few minutes, it could have been more or less, but eventually they came across exactly what they were looking for, cats!

Everyone came to a halt as Satoshi stopped in his tracks. He was analyzing the situation at hand, and Kazui would do the same, just for the sake of knowing. Daitan would chase away the cats and then proceed to help Ayukawa in searching for the flowers. The two would go on, quickly. Satoshi then turned his attention to Kazui, who awaited directions as well. Check for signs of the flower on the waterfall, understood.

With a nod of her head the Uchiha would take off in a slight jog and began checking the rocks and what not for signs of the flower. The closer she got to the waterfall, the louder things got. Water splashed all over, but that wasn’t much of an issue for the girl. She searched and searched but couldn’t find anything. A sigh escaped her lips as she stood up and began to focus the chakra into the bottom of her feet and began to scale the waterfall. The moment she reached the top, there was a pair of rather pretty flowers waiting. Kazui pulled the two from the ground and turned to face Satoshi.

"Uh...are these what we’re looking for??”

She would ask, shouting across the way. The flowers didn’t seem too special, in honesty they looked pretty normal to her even though she had never seen any before.

Satoshi listened with a half ear to the story of the Saeko as the group walked to their destination. He didn’t see fit to pipe so it wasn’t until he had to give out orders did he finally say something. Thankfully the genin were quick to respond and get one with their respective tasks, that he had just given.

The nara could have helped of course but he figured they needed this experience more than him. Was that the secret perk to leading a genin team? That you got to leave things to them and not doing anything yourself if there was no actual danger. Huh if so he could get used to it but he knew realistically how much of tough job the rest of the time leading them would be.

Still he kept a careful eye on them and from what he could see there doing a great job of it. It didn’t take much for Daitan to chase away the cats. The shout of Kazui certainly helped him get done with his part as well. So that left room for Ayukawa to search for the flowers in peace.

Instead of calling the Uchiha over Satoshi decided to approach her and as such moved towards the waterfall in order to inspect what she had found. Walking with a steady pace he almost casually switched to scaling the waterfall until he was next to her. Giving the plants she was holding a critical one over the nara nodded his head before saying.

"Seems like it. Let’s get down and double check with the herb guy if it is really them, just in case though.”

After that he would move back down to the client’s group so they can see what Kazui had found and to also wait on the Saeko to see what she would bring along as well. After all the more they had the better probably.

His able to achieve this effect by focusing and opening his mind's eye, though due to the low chakra cost Satoshi is able to keep it active passively at all times (Range is 15km) and increase the range even more with the use of the jutsu(25km). The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including him, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, Satoshi can perceive its location and movement with great detail allowing him to track the movements of even those that are faster than him.

Follow the Path "Flower flower...gotta find a flower " With Daitan having managed to scare off the wild cats, distracting them briefly, Ayukawa would proceed with her own hunt as Kazui did the same from her side. Looking across the area, the young female would release a breath, taking in the area as she attempted to smell out the best areas of interests in which to find such an flower. After all, the place with the most familiar scent closer to the wild cats, would be the best place in which to find the herb in which they delighted upon so much. Crossing the distance, her pace slow and steady, the purple hues of the shinobi would snap open, leading to an area close to the falls, similar to Kazui as seemed to begin scaling it with ease. Eyes wide, the girl would attempt to do the same, only for her footing to slip and her frame to fall backwards into the water. "Gah!!" Splashing about, the dark haired youth would scamper out from the water, body shivering briefly as she shook off her now damp exterior, narrowing her eyes as she then began to pout. Still, in the end, her gaze would shift over to the side of her, seeing a flower not too far from the rocky shore line. With a blank gaze, her attention would soon shift to it, smelling it briefly as she then grinned with pride. This had to be the one. Pink within it's center, yet white across the petals, Ayukawa would swiftly take hold of the plant, pulling it gently from the ground as she looked over it and soon began to make her way back. Though it appeared that Kazui and Satoshi were already in waiting, the Sunagakure nin appearing beside them as she held up the flower she had claimed also. "I found one too!!" Shaking her body once more, the water still dripping off her person, the trio would then seem to begin making their way back to their client for inspection.

Once she managed to get Satoshi’s attention the girl would watch and wait as the man made his way towards her. The man effortlessly scaled the waterfall and closed the distance between the two of them. From the distance however Kazui could see Ayukawa trying her hardest to scale the water as well but instead the girl would end up flopping onto her back and into the water, Kazui didn’t pay it much mind however as Satoshi stood before her.

"Hmm.”

The Uchiha would muse as she showed him the type of flowers that she had found. There wasn’t much to them, the only thing that truly stood out was the scent that the flowers gave off. For a moment Kazui surely thought that these were just normally flowers and that she would have to keep looking, but much to her surprise Satoshi agreed that they just might be the plants that the group was supposed to be looking for. ’Neat.’ The girl would think to herself as she followed the chuunin back towards the entourage. Ayukawa was on her way back as well, and it seemed she found yet another one of those exotic flowers. Surely the clients would be satisfied with the group. Once the suna girl caught up with the rest of the group, Kazui would hand over the flowers to the old geezer.

"Here.”

She would say softly before releasing the plants.

This is so troublesome But I guess I’ll do it.

Satoshi did notice the Saeko fall down but thankfully she didn’t seem to be hurt or anything. Would have been bad if that happened on such an easy mission and right at the end too. He did nod his head in approval as she brought another one of the flowers and joined them as they made their way back to the clients.

Patting Ayukawa lightly on the back and with some amusement coloring his tone he would ask.

"You alright?”

Not that he had to worry judging by her light hearted attitude. When they reached the civilians and gave the plants the herbalist would excitedly begin speaking and thanking the shinobi profusely. The nara did make sure to halfheartedly nod his head as the babble was directed at him eventually.

Sharing a glance with the old man Satoshi would ask him if that would be enough or they would need to look for more. Thankfully it seemed that was all of it they would need and such all that was left was to escort them back to the city.

"Alright then team same formation as before as we walk.”

Following that statement, they would set off. For the rest of the trip they would not find any trouble and be able to finish the mission successfully. After that the team would move back towards the land of wind borders in order to hand off the Saeko before the rest of the Konoha shinobi could return to the village.
