An infestation of rats has been found in the sewer systems of Kirigakure. Several genin teams were deployed to get rid of them. Toru and Asuna as genin team 3 are set in a particular corner of the village to get rid of the rats in one part of the village. This is important to keep the village water from being infected with potential diseases from the illnesses that rats carry with them.
