The Drunken Monkey was an old stone building that occupied space on one of the merchant streets of Konohogakure. From the outside it seemed simple, the only denotation of it’s true purpose a wooden sign that hung over the double doors. It bore the name of the establishment and had the symbol of a monkey holding a bottle of sake etched into it above the name. On this particularly pleasant afternoon the doors and windows were all thrown open. Upbeat music flowed out into the street.

Yusuke Sarutobi moved through the barroom like a whirlwind. The tavern had walls of scarlet, and various decorations covered the wall. Circular, wooden tables filled most of the space. Some had dice and cards situated on them where patron’s had left them. A massive wagon wheel was placed on one wall, with various dart boards staked to it. The bar sat in the back and a koi fountain bubbled away in one corner as the record player in another blasted music.

Having danced for most of his life, the young blonde was cleaning in a frenzy of flashy moved. Spins would bring him to the tables, his rag wiping it before a summersault would land him on the other side and he would move on. The rag whipped about between tables, a small dance partner for the man as his feet flowed through simple steps to the beat.

After a moment he would stop, still bouncing about slightly as he would turn to check out his handywork.

Suzume dragged her feet as she moved through the streets of Konoha, her hunched posture seemingly lower than usual. Today's task was one that she always dreaded, but for some reason she found herself doing much more often than any normal person would have to do. That task? Fetching her father. As one of the more skilled Hatake blacksmiths, Suzume's father's work was in high demand among the others of the clan, but he had a bad habit of not telling anybody where he was going at times. On her last nerve, Suzume's mother had instructed her to go check on the man's whereabouts, and Suzume had obediently searched her father's favorite places to loiter were. After checking a majority of Konohagakure, Suzume was finally coming the last place where she knew her father would be. If he wasn't at this 'Drunken Monkey' bar, then he was most definitely out of the village, which would finally free Suzume to go back to doing what she was best at, moping.

The Hatake heard music coming from the bar as she approached, the open doors welcoming any passerby in, but not Suzume. Stopping just beside the entrance, the woman hesitantly peeked inside the establishment, catching a glimpse of a man... dancing? He was moving about at a quick pace, dancing with a rag as he cleaned the tables. This... was a strange sight, for sure, but Suzume pushed the weirdness to the back of her mind, her eyes instead searching for a familiar white head of hair, though she never did find it. With a sigh, Suzume waited for the blonde man to stop dancing, finally entering the bar and approaching him slowly. Her indigo eyes shifted from side to side as she drew closer, avoiding eye contact as she built up enough courage to speak up.

"Have... has a man with white hair been in here recently? He's... just a bit taller than me... middle-aged..."

With any luck, the blonde man would quickly confirm or deny her father's whereabouts, and Suzume would be free to make a hasty retreat from this uncomfortable situation.
