[Senju Kazuto]

Timing is key. He repeated the mantra again and again. Timing is key. Sweat permeated every inch of his skin and a labored breath burned his lungs as he tried to inhale the warm summer air. As rivulets of sweat rolled down his forehead his eyes strayed forward, green eyes looking tiredly ahead as his hand went to a canteen and slowly began to unscrew its cap. Taking a swig at the cool liquid, he felt a momentary sensation of relief enter him before the dominance of the exertion returned to him like a malaise. He had welcomed the discomfort of muscles burning, the fatigue that came as his chakra had been spend and body and mind asked for him to relent, to rest. As the scene before him unfolded, he saw it all, the scorch marks of a half-done conflagration, the smashed boulders that were the evident scars of havoc and the trunks of fallen trees that had been ripped from the very soil almost as if a monsoon had dared to reach so far in the forest. But somehow he knew that it wasn't completed. Even if the timing seemed correct, the Senju still knew that something seemed correct. Even as tired as he was he was certain without a doubt that the timing was off for a few seconds, of a mere instance. With a groan, Kazuto rose to his feet, intending on not letting the momentary lapse between techniques to defeat him. As his hand moved towards one of the pouches that dangled from his waist, plucking a single soldier pill before he brought to his mouth and began to chew, closing his eyes as he felt his chakra coming back to him like a mighty wave. As he opened his eyes, Kazuto took another deep breath and felt ready to continue.

Kazuto stared at the scene of devastation that he had created during his time of training, closing his eyes before drawing a breath of air as his mind went through the motions that had been etched in his mind and muscles. Of all the techniques he knew and memorized. Timing was key. He reminded himself. Timing was key. The mantra was repeated in is mind as fingers of his left hand began to be flicked. A familiar sequence that he had memorized and could do it by muscle memory alone. Slowly he felt his chakra beginning to burst into flame within himself and as the air itself was infused with his chakra and the all familiar burn of fire release techniques became present in his lungs, radiating from the very core of his body. Pressing lips together he would feel as how the flames began to raise from his lungs, contained just barely. Seconds mountain before he would press lips together and a stream of flames was released from his lips. In the split second in between breathing the stream of flames, fingers that had barely finished the first sequence began anew, becoming a blur as chakra began to be molded once more and a pressure of air gathered within his fist, as he released his punch forward he opened his fingers and a gale of wind was shot from his hand, the current of air moving to strike the fireball in a backwind, seeking to make it fly faster.
