Kiyoshi is a very beautiful woman. This has been very evident ever since she was a young girl. These looks have made her life a bit easier than most, that and her monetary worth as well. She has perfect facial structure, high cheekbones, full lips, and soft clear skin. The woman has long black hair that she normally tends to keep tied up in a bun or something of that nature and decorates it with a variety of different types of jewelry, chopsticks, and things of the such. A cool grey tone is the color of her eyes, although the resemblance more of a silver tone than anything.

In addition to being naturally beautiful, Kiyoshi also takes care of her body to keep herself in the pinnacle of health and shape. She has a smaller, slimmer frame, even still the woman has toned muscles that show the efforts she takes to keep herself in tip top shape. She isn’t the tallest kunoichi around, but she definitely isn’t the shortest either. Her height has never affected her in any way, so she doesn’t care if she’s shorter than most.

Outfit wise, Kiyoshi has a different variety of outfits, but during her normal day to day life, she normally wears a blue floral haori, threaded from the finest silk and gifted to her from the Waruichi clan. On the outside of the haori she has a thin red velvet obijime (rope), wrapped around her stomach, just over the dark grey obi(sash) that is used to hold the haori in place. Under the haori, she wears a tight, black leather dress. Under the dress she wears black fishnet, and black knee high shinobi sandals. On her arms, the woman wears black arm sleeves and fingerless gloves with silver jewelry cuffed around her wrists.

Kiyoshi is a woman with no filter. She doesn’t hide her feelings nor does she hide her thoughts. What you see is what you get. She can come off as a cold hearted, uncaring bitch that doesn’t care about anything or anyone other than herself and her own desires, and that is more or less the case. This stems from her being spoiled as a kid, she got whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it. Her parents made sure of it, and as she grew older, she began doing whatever in her power to get what she wanted instead of having it handed to her from her parents. The woman will step on whoever to achieve her goals.

Despite the fact that she can come off as a bitch, that doesn’t mean she is all bad news. For the most part the woman can be very charming and sweet, but this is more than likely often used as a means to get something she has her eyes on. She will smile at someone, stab them in the back (figuratively and sometimes literally), before proceeding to laugh in their face. In addition, Kiyoshi also uses her looks to lure people in, only to use them of course.

However, her manipulative nature isn’t only fueled and put into action by her looks, she also uses her intelligence to psychologically control someone in a way. She will often tell them what they want to hear, do favors for them, and gain their trust. That’s the nice way that she goes about it. Others include utilizing blackmail and other rumors to get what she wants, and in an extreme case she will often threaten a person with death, and will even threaten their family if she has too. Those whom she is truly close to, are the only ones she shows true loyalty to. One may think that Kiyoshi is a good for nothing piece of shit, but the woman is all business at the end of the day.

She works for Kirigakure, most importantly she works underneath the Mizukage, Kaguya Minako. Kiyo loves her village, it is her home and she would never abandon it. She will do anything in her power to ensure success and prosperity to her home, for she is a representative of it. However, sometimes her love for Kirigakure leads her into a bit of clashing with other leaders of the village mostly due to them having different views and plans of action. Kiyoshi is a natural leader at heart, and a powerful one at that. She will make her voice known, whether a person likes it or not. Her wisdom adds onto this. She doesn't give advice and allows the person to decide if it’s good or not, the woman states her opinion with confidence, and is unyielding once she makes a decision. She is not a pushover and will push back whenever the time calls for it, and this often causes problems, but at the end of the day, it’s all business for the betterment of Kirigakure.

On the topic of all business, the woman is a very serious individual. As the Jōnin Hanchō, Kiyoshi’s time is very limited and her schedule is almost always full. She doesn’t have time to go out and party with friends, albeit she will do so every now and then. Nevertheless, she has a very serious demeanor, she will never smile at or around someone who is beneath her in rank or status, she expects people to bow when she enters a room and to treat her with respect. If not, then she will make sure they remember to do so the next time around.

Overall, Kiyoshi thinks she is better than everyone else simply because of who she is and who they’re not. She is a very cocky and confident individual, and she sees herself as second to none. The woman believes in everything about herself, from her abilities to her decisions, looks, and smarts. No matter what it may be, in her eyes she sees no one above herself, and most people can see that she is a very conceited person.

HISTORY

The Beginning

Born of two Kirigakure natives, Sourei, Seiji and Sourei, Mino, Kiyoshi had a fairly good life. A wealthy and a loving family, Kiyoshi couldn’t ask for much more. Her parents loved her and it was rather obvious to her that they would go to any lengths to make sure she was happy, some may consider this spoiling the child, but for Kiyoshi, it made her go to any lengths to make them happy as well. Seiji, Kiyoshi’s father was a powerful shinobi, and Mino, her mother, was an outstanding medical ninja.

The two together earned themselves a fortune, albeit that some of the money came from their heritage. Mino had no intention on enrolling Kiyoshi into the academy, and Kiyoshi had no intention on being a shinobi by any means, she just wanted to learn the way of the blade, like her father but only for competitive reasons. Seiji insisted that she join the academy because he saw her potential and knew that she could grow into something more than he could ever amount. He promised he would teach her kenjutsu if she enrolled into the academy when she was able to, the girl gladly accepted his offer.

Kiyoshi was prepared for being in the academy, she was going to enroll on her 5th birthday, keeping her promise to Seiji. Seiji was a busy man who was almost never around, but when he was, he would show his daughter all the attention in the world, which she deserved. Time passed and as her birthday drew closer, Seiji wouldn’t return home even after he promised he would be there. He was known for being a man of his word, so the girl didn’t worry much about it, but as the big day came around, Kiyoshi sat at the head of the table surrounded by friends and family, everyone was there except the person she wanted the most, Seiji.

The young girl thought he was such a liar, not knowing that he was killed in battle a week prior to her birthday. For weeks, Kiyoshi sat by the door waiting for her father to return, but to no avail. She eventually came to the conclusion that he probably wouldn’t be returning, not any time soon at least.

Eventually word got back to Kiri that Seiji had fallen, killed by the blade, the very weapon his life revolved around. Kiyoshi was registering for the academy when the news reached her mother. Mino began breaking down into tears, and Kiyoshi didn’t know exactly why but she knew it had something to do with her father. The girl was heartbroken inside but she didn’t shed a tear, for she knew not what death meant.

The Academy

Soon after enrolling into the academy, Mino began to send Kiyoshi to a Kenjutsu specialist, and that is where she first met Arizo, the blood boy, as she would call him secretly to herself. Learning the art of swordsmanship was difficult, especially for the little girl, whereas her speed was on par, her accuracy was off, and whenever she got frustrated she was punished for not keeping her composure. After seeing what Arizo went through during his training, Kiyoshi would feel bad for him, and often tried comforting him whenever she got the chance to do so. She was a happy, friendly child, with no reason to want to see other’s not happy. Her soul was pure and her mind was innocent at the time.

After coming across Arizo the first time, it seemed like he was always there. On the first day of class she noticed the black haired child enter her classroom, she was usually overly excited when she was him, simply because they basically trained with one another. The academy wasn’t much how Kiyoshi expected it to be, she thought it would be all fighting, but instead it was like actually studying. That didn’t bother the girl much, it was just that she was new to finding out stuff on her own. After bringing home a failed test, Kiyoshi’s mother hired the best tutors money could buy. Her troubles eventually passed, and the girl began to get into the hand of it, it still kinda held her back a bit. From that point forward she began making all A’s in her studies and excelling in her jutsu portions.

At home things began taking a turn for the worst, as time went by, Mino began becoming angrier and angrier. Having lost her love was eating away at her heart, and the only way to ease the pain was to dish it out to someone else, and that someone was always Kiyoshi. No matter what the girl did, Mino would begin to find fault in it and often scolded her for not living up to her standards.

This began around the time Kiyoshi began training her clan’s secret techniques. She often screwed up, she wasn’t perfect by any means, but she didn’t understand why her mother began to treat her in such a way. The once sweet and loving mother she had known was beginning to change. This usually brought down the girl’s mood, but it didn’t stop her from being happy around others. On the surface she was..herself, friendly and caring, but deep within she was beginning to feel saddened and depressed. No one knew what she was going through, all they knew was what she showed them.

Genin Years

It took the girl a few years to graduate from the academy, those who graduated with her were here close friends, arizo, and her cousin Kobashi. Not long after graduating the girl was grabbed by her mother and was told to follow her closely. With her hand being squeezed tightly by her mother's grip, Kiyoshi followed along, out of the compound and onto the streets of Kiri where Kobashi and his father were marching with a handful of people trailing.

Kiyoshi would join the group, and as they marched, the size of the group continued to grow and grow. Many of the kids who were around her were people she knew, friends and even family, confused, she held onto her mother's leg tightly.

Once the group stood before the gate, they would be questioned by the guards who were on duty that night. Tugging on her mother's dress she would look at the woman and ask what was happening. Mino, the clan's financial head, did not answer but only told the girl to stay put as she made her way to the front of the crowd, Kiyoshi being curious would follow, standing next to her cousin Kobashi, the girl would look at him, she could tell he didn't know what was going on. Watching from behind as the others exited the village, Kiyoshi would run to catch up with the group, motioning for her cousin to come on. She would turn her back, and as she did she would hear a loud scream coming from the guard behind her, she tried to turn to look, but another Sourei blocked her view and shielded her eyes, urging the girl to follow along with the group.

As the group continued to march, the size would continue to grow exponentially. The once small group was now the size of an army, made of many families and shinobis. Kiyoshi was still very confused, but all she got from the constant chattering of the group was that they were headed north, with the Daimyo. She didn't want to be with the Daimyo, she wanted to be home, she missed her pals that never joined the group for some reason.

Weeks passed before they finally reached their destination, but for the girl it seemed like an eternity. She was constantly tired and often slowed down the pace at which the group traveled along with the non shinobi's, but they all got there nonetheless. Upon arrival at the Daimyo's compound, Kiyoshi and her mother would settle in their new "home". It didn't feel very much like home, and the girl still had a ton of questions that she wanted answered. Mino soon came to Kiyoshi and explained her "everything" that was happening and why they couldn't stay in Kirigakure any longer. Although her mother left some things out, Kiyoshi still understood, and would nod to the woman.

To Be The Best

Unfortunately since Kiyoshi and many others departed from the village, Kiyoshi hasn't gotten the chance to train with her tutor, but luckily for her there were a ton of of skilled shinobi on hand, one of those shinobi was Hozuki, Shimigetsu, a member of the SSOTM who wasn't too fond of Kiri at the time, he was the wielder of the nubari. Shimigetsu was a distant/rude man who didn't really care much about training a little brat but every man had their price, and the Sourei had unlimited zeros on their checkbooks. Shimigetsu wasn't so thrilled until he met the girl, while he was still distant, he kinda wanted to mentor her, and did so without a charge.

Shimigetsu would take Kiyoshi under his wing and the two often trained together and went on missions together. Since there was no true structure like there was back home in Kirigakure, the two would dub themself as a team of sorts, more like master and student. The training was intense, and Shimigetsu offered no breaks at all, he was going to make sure that the girl was molded into a shinobi five times better than he would ever be.

First came the basics, learning the blade. Shimigetsu went into depth teaching everything he knew to Kiyoshi. He explained the parts of the swords and how they can all be used differently. From that lesson he followed with giving Kiyoshi her very own blade, her first to be exact, a standard katana. He taught the girl how to quickly draw and sheath her weapon. This was all so boring to the girl but she wouldn't speak upon it, she would only do what he said and listen to what he was saying. He was the mentor here, not her, so it wasn't her role to be picky.

This was all the girl would do, unseath and sheath her blade, over and over and over. It drove her crazy metally because it seemed that she would never get it to where Shimigetsu was satisfied, in her eyes she was a failure even though she was light years ahead of others her age and even better than some who were older.

Focus, breath, and draw.

The girl would say in her mind over and over as she drew her sword. One fluid motion, just letting the body flow, is what Shimigetsu offered as advice. And so she listened. Focus. You got this Kiyoshi. Breath. Don't doubt yourself. and finally....draw. With one swift and fluid motion, Kiyoshi would draw her blade from it's sheath, without disturbing the wind around them. The draw was nearly instantaneous and it had no sound behind it. Shimigetsu would smirk as he knew he had a golden student under his wing.

After this, the two jumped into sparring. Shimigetsu was obviously better, but Kiyoshi held her own. His training began to pay off as the girl found herself getting better and better as the clock ticked. She was faster, stronger, and even smarter than she was before she began training with the Hozuki.

Blood, sweat and tears were poured into her training, and it was definitely paying off. She proved herself more than worthy now, the two were beginning to grow closer and closer, Kiyoshi even began taking on his personality. She was becoming more and more distant, only talking to him and a few others who she actually liked, and Shimigetsu noticed, but there wasn't much he could do about that. If he could change himself, he would, but he can't. So he just accepted it, to him it was just a symptom of her being around him, but it was deeper than that, to Kiyoshi, Shimigetsu was the father figure in which she lacked since her biological father died when she was 4.

Experience Makes The Shinobi

Five years passed, and Kiyoshi was promoted to chuunin by the Daimyo. She was no longer a chuunin, and now the missions from here on out would almost always put her life in danger. Shimigetsu and Kiyoshi still continued to work with one another as mentor and student. At this point, Kiyoshi was a little Shimigetsu, so since they were so close, he would give her a nickname. He thought hard about it and it finally came to him..he would call the girl Kiyo. Kiyoshi actually liked it, and the nickname soon began to spread.

Now that the girl was a chuunin she was ready to be put in harm's way, and perform sabotaging acts against her own friends whom she hasn't seen in years. At this point, Kiyoshi didn't care. She hadn't seen anyone from Kirigakure in years, for all she knew, they were the enemies now. One mission that particularly sticks to Kiyoshi's mind was when she and Shimigetsu saw a caravan of supplies, it was from kiri but they had the numbers advantage.

Shimigetsu would leap out of cover and would instantly attack the Kiri shinobi, throwing his sewing needle blade, he would thread a few of them together. Kiyoshi would leap into battle as well, and a fight broke out, the two exiles were outnumbered, 2 to 7, but they were not easy to fear. Standing tall with confidence they would battle them, They were skilled, but they were still kind of inexperienced. Kiyoshi's blade would slay two of them.

On to the next, Kiyoshi would begin battling her third opponent. He was very skilled with the blade, the two went blow for blow, which eventually led to Kiyoshi's blade snapping in half. She panicked for a second but then remembered what Shimigetsu had taught her. The Kiti nin had the reach advantage, but Kiyoshi was speedy. Her quickness would overwhelm the boy as she continued to strike with the broken blade.

The boy soon begin to regain his confidence, and realized that he still had the reach advantage. Striking back fiercely, he would begin to put Kiyoshi on the ropes. With a downward slash, the man would try to slash the girl. Quickly dropping the handle of her sword, she would grab a kunai. With her back against a tree, she would struggle to keep the blade from cutting into her. She was beginning to struggle, but as she peeked past the shinobi, her eyes focused on Shimigetsu.

The shinobi would notice the man standing behind him and would quickly force Kiyoshi's kunai from her hand, and would take her hostage. Holding the girl in between him and Shimigetsu, he would think that the man wouldn't have a shot at him without killing Kiyoshi, but he was wrong. Throwing the sewing needle, the blade seemingly would pierce through Kiyoshi and the Kiri shinobi. As the blade pierced his heart, he would be confused as he saw the girl simply walk through the thread without being cut or punctured. Shimigetsu knew of Kiyo's abilities, so with trust and practice, they were able to kill the final shinobi.

As time passed, the two continued to go on missions with one another, they were nearly inseparable. The two began becoming more and more involved with the Daimyo's forces. Kiyoshi was promoted to jounin by the man himself, she was around the age of 19. She began talking to the Daimyo more and more, and got to know the guy. She wasn't exactly fond of the man, but he did hold power, something that she wanted, so she looked up to the man a bit. Years passed as Shimigetsu and Kiyoshi continued to operate within the Daimyo's forces, but things were going to change.. a lot. Shimigetsu eventually passed his blade down to the girl, he felt she deserved it, and that it fit her abilities perfectly. She wouldn't be one to turn down a blade.

The Civil War

All was well and normal, until one day the Daimyo killed the Mizukage in an attempt to put an end to the resistance they were holding against him, thinking it would bring an end to the tension and dividedness of the country. But it only did the complete opposite. It sparked rage from Kirigakure and all the tension would soon bring bloodshed.

Kiyoshi was on the front lines, fighting her heart out. Shimigetsu was on the frontlines as well, fighting alongside one another. The fighting was thrilling to the man, but for Kiyoshi, it was useless and a complete waste of energy, time, and relationships. As much as she did not want to fight, she was given no choice, as those who opposed her raised their hand to her, which in return forced her hand. She fought day and night, slaying childhood friends, teachers, and even some family who stayed behind. She even came across Shin, Arizo, and Shio as well. She knew them all, but it was a war. As much as she didn't want to, she traded blows with the three she once considered friends.

Shimigetsu and Kiyoshi were fighting a losing battle, killing was all they were doing. Kirigakure was pushing them back, and soon the forces began to get thinner and thinner. With most shinobi dying and others fleeing or rejoining Kiri, Kiyoshi would remain loyal to her family, her clan, and Shimigetsu would remain by her side. She was basically his daughter..

The war lasted for a year and a half, many of familiar blood was shed during that year and a half. Many friends, mothers, brothers, and sisters. Kiyoshi's mother was slain during one of the battles. Unfortunately the woman wasn't there to help her mother as she took her final few breaths, surely there was nothing she would have wanted more than to speak to Kiyoshi for one last time. Shimigetsu was also slain in combat. He died protecting the young kids who were fighting along him, though his efforts were heroic, he wasn't able to save the children. He died right before Kiyoshi's eyes. As she watched, her heart broke as her father was leaving her. She screamed out in emotional pain as his body went lifeless.

Standing tall, they would have to kill her before she surrendered. She continued fighting whilst others retreated. She knew that was what Shimigetsu would do. And she wanted to be exactly like him, so on the very battlefield where he laid, she would perish as well. She held her own against numerous shinobi, watching them drop one by one, the girl was fueled by anger. Eventually, the girl snapped back into reality and fled the battlefield. Shimigetsu left a note behind telling Kiyoshi that this war was stupid and it wasn't worth fighting any longer, that he wanted her to get out whenever the opportunity presented itself, and that he would follow behind shortly. Unfortunately, he never got the chance.

While many ran away, Kiyoshi would surrender, and would be taken in as a prisoner of war. She would be escorted back to Kirigakure, where she would be placed in a cell that sealed her powers away, and that was the end of the war for her.

Bijuu Rampage

It had been decades since Kiyoshi had last been inside of Kirigakure, it was nostalgic nonetheless, but her view wasn't. From inside a cell, the woman looked around and saw nothing but for walls. It didn't matter much though, she stood behind her clan, and if given the option to do it all over again, she wouldn't hesitate one bit.

After sitting in the cell for awhile, word eventually got back to Kiyoshi that the war was over, and that as long as she didn't try anything they would have her out of the cell in no time. Offering no response in return, Kiyoshi would simply scough at the lower level shinobi.

Soon afterwards, from inside her cell, Kiyoshi heard a ton of commotion going on outside. Screams and destruction was all the woman could hear from within the walls. All of a sudden the woman would find herself flying alongside debris and the shattered remains of the prison. Looking around all the woman saw was chaos, children and women were running in her direction, almost knocking her over as they ran past her.

As she looked up she would see the bijuu terrorizing the village. Using her clan's technique, she would change her density and let the handcuffs fall to the ground. Without hesitation, she would summon her sword and run into battle with people whom she had tried to kill not to long ago. Putting all things aside, she would work with them as if nothing had ever happened. It was tough, but eventually they all managed to get the beast sealed away. Many people died leaving the village in shambles.

Once the beast was sealed, Kiyoshi figured she would be on about her business. She wanted to leave the village, just in case anyone felt as if having her around was another danger they would have to look forward to. As she was walking out of the gate, she was asked to stay, that they trusted her being around and that there weren't any hard feelings, that in fact, they preferred her to stay. And so she did.

Vacancies were many and remained unfilled for a while, but Kiyoshi would be promoted to an Elite Jounin officially, and would be added to the war council by the many of those she helped during the Sanbi attack. She would be elected to the financial head of the Sourei Clan as well soon afterwards. After time passed, Kiyoshi would eventually be appointed to the active role of overlooking the war council, being appointed as the Jōnin Hanchō of Kirigakure

Sourei Bloodline
Since a young child, Kiyoshi has had the ability to pass through objects or make herself immovable. Of course as a child she never knew how or what the ability was or how she even got it, let alone know how to utilize and master the technique. As she began to get older, her bloodline abilities began to become almost second nature to her, almost activating itself by its own. She has mastered the ability to manipulate her density in ways most members of her clan could dream of.

Gone in the Wind
Kiyoshi's years of training would not be in vain. Her physical speed is far beyond that of what many shinobi are even capable of dreaming of. The woman is deceptively fast that makes even the most trained eyes seem completely useless some say her speed alone is along the lines of the body flicker technique, but that would be a mild over exaggeration. Even those with weak sharingans can not perceive the woman if she is moving at her absolute fastest. The woman is quick, nimble, and extremely agile. Her movements are like the breeze of the wind or the calm waves that push up on the beach. She moves with a purpose and with precision, no movement is wasted when she moves.

Expert Swordsman
Ever since Kiyoshi was a child, she was blessed with the ability of being a natural born combatant. Her perception is sharp as well as her way with the blade. She is one of the best swordsmen to walk the earth, and not many can match her. Her swings are as quick as lightning with absolute precision, accuracy, and power. She is capable of throwing a fury of attacks within a blink of an eye. She can even pull an attack in a moment's notice, stopping her blade on command. Even the most common and weak blades have an added degree of lethality when it's in her hands.

The Thief in the Night
Silence is key. That is the way of the Kirigakure shinobi. Kiyoshi lives and dies by these words, completely embodying what it means. Utilizing her speed and training during her time outside of the village, the woman has learned to completely erase from the world at least on the basis of sound. When she walks, run, crawl, or whatever it may be, there is nothing to be heard. Eerie silence is all that is left in her place, and when the enemy least expects it, the woman strikes, cutting through her opposition like sharp wind before she disappears yet again, leaving her target clueless as to what happened and who had done the justice of ending their life.

Chakra Sensory
Throughout her entire life, Kiyoshi has been able to sense others' chakra. Though it has never been the sharpest tool in her arsenal, she has continued to train and sharpen this ability until she has mastered the ability. Due to her excellent chakra control, Kiyoshi is capable of sensing and pinpointing anyone within 5km of her with concentration, and passively sensing others for up to 1km. In addition to being able to sense chakra over a great distance, Kiyoshi is also capable of sensing when another sensor has sensed her location and vice versa.

Expert Chakra Control
Kiyoshi has mastered her chakra control to the point where she rarely wastes a ton of her chakra trying to use a technique. Kiyoshi is also able to completely suppress her chakra to appear as a civilian if she needed to. In addition she is able to channel her chakra into being able to perform one handed seals.
