PERSONALITY

As a kid, Kasai was seen as a very energetic, trouble making, hot headed child. One who many thought had no true future or any goals set for himself in life, in fact many believed the boy would be imprisoned or worse before his eighteenth birthday came around simply due to the fact that he could not control his temper. That is a part of him, well it was a part of him. Now Kasai has found what seems like both inner and outer peace. He has accepted himself as he is, all his flaws and things of the such, they don’t bother him. And he also accepts the world for what it is, all its flaws as well, cold and relentless.

He is a realist through and through, so he knows just how cold this world can be and wouldn’t be able to sugarcoat it to save his life. He takes things as they are, the good and the bad, but despite his views on the shinobi world and certain things pertaining to it, the man still manages to keep a gleeful demeanor/attitude at almost all times. He knows he can’t change things that he has no control over, so he would never let it get him down. Throughout all the pain and loss, he pushes through it as if it never happened.

He is a caring person without a doubt, even though his tone may not always project him as such, but it’s very safe to assume that the Uzumaki has come full circle. He has had his days as a kid, pulling petty pranks and causing mayhem. He has had his days as a teen, doing things he has no business doing and causing fights just for the fun of it. Now he has matured, evolved even, into what many would consider a role model, someone to look up to, and even to an extreme point - a father figure. (But don’t let him hear this, no matter how old he gets he’ll never feel as if he is truly ready to be a father, so seeing him as such a figure would be adding on a ton of responsibility on his shoulders.) While many see him in such a way, he however still sees himself as the same-old scrawny goofball that was terrorizing Kusagakure in his youth.

When it comes to his village and his friends, he is prepared to go to the extremes to ensure the safety of them as well as ensuring that the future of the village is bright. Despite this fact and his ideology that the village was more or less his family, the man makes(or made) a horrible lord, being one of the interim just before the current leader, Lord Yamato. The reasoning behind his departure wasn’t because he wasn’t fulfilling his duties, but because of the added stress and responsibility - it made him feel old and bossy albeit it did mature him a bit more than he was. So, instead of being the face of the village, he accepted the role of aiding the leader behind the scenes, something that suits his style much better.

All in all, it is safe to say that Kasai is ready to give his life behind his village and the ones who he cherishes. He is sweet and caring despite what he himself might think, and he sees the world through clear lenses. There is no sugarcoating when it comes to him, only the truth is what he speaks, and he speaks it without any hesitation. Kasai is a good guy, as plain as that sounds, there is more to it. Good is subjective, differing from person to person. Those who follow the written code word for word are tools in his eyes, although he can not blame them for doing so. However, true purity comes when said rules are bent and broken to do what one believes is truly the right thing to do.
