APPEARANCE:
Massive beyond measure, Shin'en no Ban'nin is one of the largest creatures in creation. Towering above the buildings of man, the only place big enough to contain this beast is the sea. Shin'en no Ban'nin is made of a mass of writhing tentacles capable of twisting and warping into whatever shape and configuration it deems appropriate, surrounding a mighty maw capable of consuming anything it can grab hold of. Like the smaller, more normal tentacled creatures of the sea, the Lord of the Deep is capable of regenerating from most damage over a period of several months. 

Seeing Shin'en no Ban'nin is a sight to behold, able to warp its formless mass into various shapes, including a massive and hulking humanoid form or compress to fit through openings that should seem otherwise impossible. 

The great calamity that is the Lord of the Deep is a strange beast. Like the mighty hydra of legend, cutting parts from Shin'en no Ban'in does not necessarily impede, but these shorn pieces, masses of writhing tentacles, are more than capable of manifesting the great ones' form in reduced size, becoming yet again, another creature that can be reabsorbed within the mighty entity's true body as deemed necessary.

PERSONALITY:
Insatiable Hunger.

Unquenchable Greed.

Indomitable Spirit.

Shin'en no Ban'nin is the epitome of boundless evil, corrupting all that they come in contact with. Some would consider them simple, yet Shin'en no Ban'nin is focused and driven. Shin'en no Ban'nin seeks to devour the world above for no other reason than it has always eluded them, and some day they shall.

That day grows closer as unwitting fools have finally given Shin'en no Ban'nin the access they require to the land above. Until that day, however, the abyss of the deepest dark will remain this beast's home, hidden away from all that lives lest they be drawn into the bottomless pit that serves as Shin'en no Ban'nin core.

For most, the Lord of the Deep is an enemy. However, those who are deemed useful - pawns - are granted a semblance of mercy and gifted with opportunity to serve. Among the pawns, the contract holder is generally the only one safe from Shin'en no Ban'nin's ire as they are the one that allows access to the surface world. 

Finding a suitable contract holder, however, is not easy. The Lord of the Deep is picky by necessity. Not everyone is cut out for the task, nor possesses the necessary traits to make it worth while. Those chosen are granted the great one's gifts, and in their times of need, even great power. 

ABILITIES:
Lord of the Deep, Keeper of the Abyss
Shin'en no Ban'nin is an entity unlike any other. Ancient as time, beholden to none, this underwater monster resides in the deepest and darkest places of the world, rage and hunger festering like cancer ready to tear apart the world. However, this patron is not without great gifts. Truly summoning Shin'en no Ban'nin to the battlefield is a feat that few can accomplish on their own. The power granted to the summoner would be great, but ultimately temporary.

Shin'en no Ban'nin possesses unfathomably deep chakra reserves.

Sound of the Deep, Horror of the Dark
Opening the rift to the great abyss of the deep dark seas is no mean feat, and in doing so, the Bell of the End Times peals to herald the arrival of Shin'en no Ban'nin. Deafening. Crippling. Insurmountable. Those of weak will fall to their knees in despair, and even the hearts of the bold tremble in fear. Few who know the name Shin'en no Ban'nin would be foolish enough to stand against them.

It requires great resolve to strike at the master of the deep, and even other boss-level summons will be forced to muster their courage before engaging battle with Shin'en no Ban'nin. A wise man, however, would turn and run, hoping for the best.

Shin'en no Ban'nin possesses the Bell of the End Times.

All-in-All, Greater than Gods
Massive beyond measure, able to warp its body with writhing mass of tentacles to fit any shape, and able to wield techniques of incredible potency, Shin'en no Ban'nin is a foe to be feared. However powerful Shin'en no Ban'nin may be, their strength is still restricted by their inability to truly escape the deeps.

Shin'en no Ban'nin is particularly well-suited to combat possessing exceptional strength and durability.

Supreme Unknown, Eternal Devourer
From the deep, the Eternal Devourer watches the world above, wishing for nothing more than to feast upon all that walks the earth. To do so, the creature of the dark depths is able to warp their tentacled mass into various other shapes and forms, taking on new properties and in some cases, allowing it to take on humanoid form to walk upon the lands for a limited time. When doing so, the body is often indistinguishable from muscle and bone of a mammal.

Shin'en no Ban'nin may change their form from a plethora of tentacles into other shapes, such as a humanoid body with arms, legs, hands, and such, thus allowing the use of hand seals as needed.

Note: Unless otherwise specified, techniques on this list cannot be used or learned by anyone other than Shin'en no Ban'nin. Shin'en no Ban'nin may use them while Tamashī no kizuna is active at reduced strength. A technique that can be learned must be purchased by the shinobi if they wish to use it without Shin'en no Ban'nin and Tamashī no kizuna active.

CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu

REQUIREMENT: Be Shin'en no Ban'nin or contract holder; can be learned.

DESCRIPTION:
The technique that allows Shin'en no Ban'nin to impact the world of the walking. Being that the Lord of the Deep cannot persist indefinitely out of water, concessions must be made. With Tamashī no kizuna, the contact holder instantly summons and combines with Shin'en no Ban'nin. This effectively turns a two-step process into a singluar one.

During this Soul Bond, the two forms combine into one in a hybrid unity. Unlike some transformations, the Tamashī no kizuna is quite durable as Shin'en no Ban'nin expends some strength to maintain the form. Because of this, it is not a perfect bond and reduces the overall strength gained from Shin'en no Ban'nin.

NAME: Shokushu no seichō -- [Tentacle Growth]

CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu

ELEMENT: N/A

REQUIREMENT: Be Shin'en no Ban'nin and contract holder with Tamashī no kizuna active.

DESCRIPTION:
Shokushu no seichō alters Tamashī no kizuna's basic parameters, giving Shin'en no Ban'nin more influence by replacing the human flesh with their own, in the form of a writhing mass of tentacles. Normally, the visual appearance is hidden by Shin'en no Ban'in's transformative capabilities and thus appears human, but damaging the combined form, such as cutting off a limb, will reveal that it was not a human limb, but tentacles taking their form. As they are Shin'en no Ban'nin's tentacles, they can act independently of the contract holder's wishes. The tentacles possess the traits of the Lord of the Deep.

NAME: Kamikaze -- [Divine Winds]

CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu

DESCRIPTION:
Kamikaze is a relatively simple technique that can easily serve as the platform for many other techniques to branch out from. At its core, it is functionally similar to Haiu[Shift], in that it allows the user to achieve exceptional 3-dimensional movement by channeling bursts of air to near-instantly reach their maximum velocity. However, unlike Haiu, Kamikaze sheathes the user in fast-flowing air as opposed to merely channeling it as necessary. While tricky to see wind in motion, it has a tendency to kick up and capture particulate matter, making it visible, albeit a bit hazy. The air-flow field around the user is not tremendously large, only being three-to-four inches thick.

Note: Despite being armor-like in form, it possesses no such defensive properties.

NAME: Kishi e -- [To the Shore]

CLASSIFICATION: Genjutsu

ELEMENT: N/A

DESCRIPTION:
When put under the influence of this technique, it is as if the world beneath one's feet gives way to the abyss. Icy-cold waters rush from below, plunging everything into darkness. The victim is promptly deposited onto dark, gray rocks and coarse sand. The Shores of the Abyss stretch infinitely, and the horizon over the waters is much the same. Stuck within this realm beneath the sea, they are forced to fight with the weight of many atmospheric pressures upon their shoulders, a burden many are not prepared for. Not to mention, Shin'en no Ban'nin can manifest within this realm - or at least a semblance of the Lord of the Deep may!

If the target takes damage while under the influence of the technique, its strength is reduced by one tier. The technique can be bolstered by expending extra chakra to restore its original strength. Chakra to bolster the technique is the difference in current rank to actual rank.

NAME: Shinkai hokō -- [Deep Sea Walking]

RANK: A

CHAKRA USAGE: High

CLASSIFICATION: Genjutsu

DESCRIPTION:
When caught within this genjutsu, the ground seeps with icy waters. Ankle-deep and frigid, these waters obscure the ground beneath. However, it allows Shin'en no Ban'nin or the contract holder to instantly move between any location within - or at least it appears as such. As the apparition-body moves about, drawing the attention of the victim, they may be struck with blind-side attacks and ambushes. Each attack, whether successful or otherwise, creates another apparition to join the first.

If the target takes damage while under the influence of the technique, its strength is reduced by one tier. The technique can be bolstered by expending extra chakra to restore its original strength. Chakra to bolster the technique is the difference in current rank to actual rank.

NAME: Eien no kyo shōhi -- [Eternal Void Consumption]

DESCRIPTION:
Shin'en no Ban'nin's ultimate technique, Eien no kyo shōhi harnesses the power of the great entity's insatiable hunger, drawing in everything within a wide, one-hundred twenty degree cone-shape area of influence in front of the point of origin stretching out three hundred meters with strength waning at its furthest reaches; the farther one is away, the easier it can be to escape. Regardless of what is drawn in, physical or otherwise, it is utterly consumed and destroyed, sealed away within a depthless void - nothing is safe.

Note: Technique is less potent when used in combination transformation state, reaching only thirty meters

DESCRIPTION:
It's a bell.

A really large bell. 

A very powerful one, too. 

The Bell of the End Times is said to herald the end of the world. Whether or not that is true is up for some debate, but it certainly possesses the ability to invoke extreme fear within anyone that hears it ring.

It has been in the possession of Shin'en no Ban'nin as long as memory has been recorded, and many who are aware of its existence believe that when the Lord of the Deep finally figures out how to submerge the world above it will be this bell that makes that success known.

ABILITIES:
Bringer of Fear
Ringing the bell evokes a deep, primal fear in all beings that hear it - and a bit by having a terrifying, bone rattling peal. It is indiscriminate in it's application, and the only one truly safe from the effect is the one who rang it in the first place - all others may be subjected to a myriad of effects. It is possible, albeit very difficult to overcome to horrible sensation. However, the weak willed, such as simple civilians, may go into shock, become catatonic, or pass out from stress. Shinobi, on the other hand, will face a degree of impact ranging from an instinctual need to flee to safety or crippling uncertainty. Resistance to its effects tends to result in less duration to the impact it has on ones' psyche.

Deception Inception
The bell's potent genjutsu channeling capabilities ensure that it's targets remain under its effect. While many would suspect the sound the bell makes to be the trigger of its genjutsus, and it certainly could function for such, its innate genjutsu is due to the vibrations it puts out, a feature that can replace the genjutsu triggers of other techniques that use auditory triggers.

Resistance is Futile
Resisting the Bell of the End Times is difficult. It's ability to repeatedly apply genjutsu makes it a potent tool. Being put under such stress is taxing and can weather even the most hardy of individuals. Those caught within the genjutsu of the bell face increased stamina expenditure that starts small and ramps up over time as the body puts undue fear-related stress upon itself.

To reapply the genjutsu, chakra must be expended. 

Permanent
No one has ever been able to destroy the Bell of the End Times. Regardless of how much how much damage it takes, it will inevitably remake itself given time. While it may be possible to destroy the strange bell, it certainly would not be easy!

Other weapons of similar caliber to the bell can cause damage to it, especially if they are enhanced with powerful techniques. However, the bell is quite large and prone to repairing itself, meaning damaging it sufficiently can require some effort, and it will inevitably be back. 

The bell will repair between summonings, regardless of how much damage it takes.

Title: Change title to genus of animal that this contract entails.
Type: Mollusc is a phylum and includes a large variety of animals. You need to pick one genus, such as octopi.
General: Put the spots for contract signers back in please.

[Supreme Unknown, Eternal Devourer]- If he has an SA to improve combinations why doesn’t he have the jutsu? Both parties need the jutsu to combine.

Fukai no ikari -- [Fury of the Deep]: Given the summon would need a source of cold water because they don’t have hyoton, it’ll need to be added as a requirement to this jutsu. I’m okay with the first use being cold when they are summoned. I’m going to need more hand seals for sure given how big this would be. How many would depend on you clarifying a few things. How deep is the water? Does it persist to flood the whole field afterwards? Keep in mind that because there is no hyoton involved if the water does persist it is going to take to whatever weather after a few rounds. Chakra cost will need to go up as well.

Be more specific as to how it is weaker when used with combination.

Kishi e -- [To the Shore]: I’m against the idea of this jutsu in general. I can’t think of any feedback to give you that would change my mind. This is very similar to kamui/space time and I am a hard no on it.

Shinkai hokō -- [Deep Sea Walking]: Summoning elements is a no go. I would recommend breaking this into two jutsu. I would be willing to accept something similar as a fuinjutsu w/ a component like a water scroll in play for the frigid water effect. Keep in mind that the water would warm gradually unless it was somewhere already cold.

The movement effect as written is also space/time in my eyes (moving between planes). I’d probably say make a second jutsu that gives this an effect as a genjutsu.

Eien no kyo shōhi -- [Eternal Void Consumption]: This jutsu implies it is capable of chakra absorption which is not allowed. I’d also need to know how wide this cone is, the intensity at which it is pulling things in, how large of an area the beam is, etc. Be specific for both the summon and the person that combines with the summon.

Bell of the End Times: Summon has no chakra reserve sa, so how would they meet this requirement?
Bringer of Fear: No dying outright from stress. At most you can have this do something like Ryuu’s ability [Ouja Menzen | King's Presence].

Indestructible: Give it some sort of weakness that is specific, even if it is not known in its lore.

Alright,

We've discussed a lot of the stuff going into this and I have made changes to everything that needed changing. Whether or not the changes are good... well... we shall find out! :)

If you want massive chakra reserves it needs a dedicated SA.

Fury of the deep’s new description sounds more like an A rank now and I’d like at least 18 seals.

The S-Ranks issue with chakra absorption was not addressed. Consuming chakra to fuel a larger attack will not be allowed in any form.

The fear effect on the bell is still too much, take out the "few if any will resist”. Rplace it with phrasing like "may cause”. At best SA like these can be a suggestion to the roleplayer.

No layered genjutsu as an equipment ability. You can use an ability to make it a substitution for other auditory triggers. If you want layering you’d have to go the route of chakra control and then a layering sa on the summon.

Remove mention of layering on the other ability about stamina.

Remove mention of a temperature and just say extreme heat. Stronger scorch or lava release should be able to do the trick.

No on spawning tentacles. I am okay with using existing tentacles that he has, but generating more would be on the medical side of the house.

Kamikaze -- [Divine Winds]
Link the jutsu you are referencing. Make it more clear how large of an area is affected by the haze.

Eien no kyo shōhi -- [Eternal Void Consumption]
Instead of several put a number. If it is 300 meters with a 120ft angle cone I want the hand seal count in the mid 30’s. I could probably live with the count as it is now if it was like 100 meters and a 90 degree cone. Also I feel like this would be a futon.

Bell- Take out

Tentacle Growth- The language that they are being spawned or created is the problem, I don’t mind if they are summoned similar to like shadow snake hands, but it doesn’t really make sense for the summon to have the jutsu. I’d recommend apping a personal jutsu for the character to have.

Deception Inception- clarify it can replace audio triggers only.

Adjusted Deception Inception.

Also made a tweak to Tentacle Growth. Changed some verbage and also made a slight change to the requirement. It is supposed to be representing Shin'en no Ban'nin taking more control during the combination transformation. The way I am *trying* to make it function would make more sense with him than with the contract holder, as they would be not under the contract holder's control.

Keep of the abyss:
Is this a chakra sa? Or is it an sa which allows it to be summoned partly without losing a limb? If you summon it partly, then you'd be cutting him up and just have a giant tentacle flopping on the ground? Please make it clear what it is.

Greater than gods: You will have as much advantage as any other boss level summon which is the size of the moon. Is this a strength sa? A fear sa?

Eternal Devourer:
You have to spend your entire chakra reserves(according to the first sa) to summon him, you'd not have enough to merge with him. You'd die.

Jutsu: To merge with someone both summon and summoner need the tech. Even with Soul Bond you'd need to pay the ginormous chakra cost to summon him and combine?

General: I need way more handseals on everything.

tentacle growth: Bumpb to A rank if you want them to be super strong and durable.

Divine Winds: I need a max uses per thread and what happens when you exceed it. Since i assume you move nearly as fast as body flicker which is near-instant. Only the Special Ability from the Special Ability and Weapons list allows for such things and it has a limit of 1 use and a huge drawback after the use.

Deep Sea walking: Third eye? Is this from the combination? Is it a specific combination form you take when you combine with the summon?

Void Consumption: is it sealed(Like the )? is it tentacles which destroy? Not sure what is happening here.

Bell:

Just a note, you will not be forcing everyone to flee in fear. It depends on the character, just like you cannot force emotions with genjutsu or an SA.

I'd want whoever is using this to at the very least have a genjutsu spec.

I dont fully understand how you want to utilize this(bell, octopus/contract)? It is with The giant octopus but he is in the deep and by the sounds of it you want it to be impossible to summon him unless you have a bijuu's chakra reserves. You will not be bypassing the chakra cost needed to summon a summon via the Soul Bond jutsu. Yes, you combine the standard combination tech and summonig jutsu, that is neat, but if Octopus man wants to eat you and everyone else how are you going to get him to perform the Soul Bond jutsu to combine with you?


Generally: This all feels a lot like you want Chtulu and not a contract with the octopus species?

Some of these do the same thing as partial summoning. The summoning of tentacles, the soul bond jutsu makes a jump straight for combination and then use 'partial summoning'. I'll ask for q's input since he knows a bit more about it than I do.

Please put cost of summoning + medium for the chakra cost. The original says you may share the chakra cost of the transformation, but the summoning will still have to be paid by the summoner alone.
