Kyoso, in Eiji’s opinion, was as much a part of Nohara no Kuni as much as it was of Hi no Kuni. Trying to get them to redraw the lines now would just cause contention between allies, but as far as he saw it he was still in his homeland. Banri had taken him to one of his favorite places: The Lucky Seven Sushi bar, Hotel, and Casino.

It was a getaway from work, but close enough that a chosen runner could get into his sensory range if there was an emergency. Needless to say he was pretty well relaxed. Perhaps a bit too focused on the slot machine in front of him, trying desperately to use his agile shinobi reflexes to try to line up the 7’s instead of relying on chance.

It had been probably fifteen minutes since he had looked away from the machine. "Almost had it that time!” he said looking over expecting to see Banri. "Huh? Where’d you go?” he said as he stood up and looked around confused.

The constantly changing chakra signature made Banri difficult to find in a crowd. He wore different faces and bodies like they were a fashion, and it took time to learn a signature.

"I’m right here.” A breathy voice responded and Eiji would feel a hand rest gently upon his right shoulder from behind. As Banri turned his lover to face him, Eiji would meet the cloudy blue eyes of a willowy woman in a long black cocktail dress holding a glass of wine from the open bar. Her platinum blond hair was folded neatly into a bun at the crown of her head and choppy bangs framed the outline of her delicate features. [break][break]

The woman used her free hand to flattened the wrinkles around her hips and waist from where she’d shuffled over in a hurry and she smirked into her glass even as the wine settled; The pale ruby liquid was just a few shades brighter than her cheeks and she appeared slightly flustered. [break][break]

"I hope you haven’t exhausted your arm pulling that lever. You seemed so engrossed by these machines so I… wandered over to the blackjack table and I...” Banri stepped closer and glanced around surreptitiously. The strap of his velvet handbag strained at the weight attached as he slid it around to the front and undid the clasp. The bag was bursting at the seams with orange and black casino chips. "I got pretty lucky.”

"Oh? Wow!” Eiji said as he looked down Banri’s current form towards the bag full of casino chips. He moved his hand into the bag and began shifting them around in disbelief. He had never had a break like that before. He usually walked out of these places losing money.

"I like your outfit, when did you change?” he asked as he stood up from the slot machine. He stole Banri’s wine glass and took a sip from it before handing it back to them. He was wearing a black eye patch and a suit today to make himself look more fancy.

Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of a top heavy man in a tuxedo watching them. He wondered if Banri had attracted some unwanted attention. But he was sure it was nothing they couldn’t handle either way.

Banri smirked as Eiji fingered the chips, bewilderment visible in the normally unflappable shinobi’s expression. It wasn’t his fault he had a knack for recognizing patterns. His experience as a ninja gave him a little bit of an advantage over the other players in a card game based on bluffs but he figured the casino had plenty enough cash to share. It wasn’t like he was cheating or anything. [break][break]

"Oh, you like?” The blond woman’s cheeks blushed pink and she looked away coyly. "I changed just as I was leaving the slot machines. Don’t worry. I was careful enough not to be noticed.” Banri was certain no one witnessed the transition. Although, her performance at the table was sure to have drawn some attention from those nearby. It wasn’t enough that the establishment would be able to do anything about it. These chips were won fair and square. [break][break]

Maybe if Banri kept telling themselves that, it would become believable. [break][break]

The wine glass was returned and the girl grinned. Sharing a glass was almost like kissing… and in public no less? She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his for a little peck. "Let’s head back to the bar… unless you’re not finished playing with the slots.”

He could tell that Banri didn't want to put up with him being cooped up with the slots for the whole time they were here. He had lost track of time, enough that they had snuck off and changed into a feminine visage to try to catch his attention.

"You look fantastic," he told them as he stood up. He looked back at the slot machine as Banri mentioned abandoning it to go to the bar. It was a surprising choice, given the last time they drank too much, things hadn't gone very well.

He suddenly got an idea that was maybe a bit silly, and began raising a hand seal up but noticed a man in the corner tip his sunglasses and watch him carefully. He looked up, at a sign above the casino that said "Absolutely No Jutsu" on it.

That was right. He had the idea of leaving a clone on them before, he kept forgetting about that damned rule.

"Yea, let's go have a drink," he agreed as he offered a gentlemanly arm for Banri to cling to as they walked towards the lavish bar.

Banri rocked from side to side, blushing at the compliment. "Thank you. I thought she looked quite elegant.” He said in regards to the mask he had donned for the occasion. [break][break]

He could tell that Eiji wanted to keep trying the slot machines and he hated to pull him away from something he enjoyed so much but the slots just weren’t any fun to Banri. They took a certain level of perseverance but there was no real risk involved. Once the little scale in the machine said it was full of tokens it would spit out some winnings. [break][break]

The Elite Jounin was hoping for something a little more high stakes and exciting tonight but he didn’t want to leave Eiji feeling unsatisfied so he grabbed a quarter and drew a little symbol on it quicker than anyone could have seen. "Just one more." He activated the jutsu surreptitiously as he stuffed the token in the hole and the token immediately increased in weight. [break][break]

A light on top spun around excitedly and the rapid clinking of his winnings arriving through the slot.

Eiji's eyes lit up as coins began falling from the machine. He scooped the tokens up greedily. It was more fun to win it himself, but Banri was a lot better at this than he was. He grinned and wrapped his arm around their waist.

"Let's go get that drink," Eiji said as he squeezed Banri's side. The casino agents seemed to be speaking to each other on hand held radios, and Eiji caught their eyes more than once. It was obvious that there was a little suspicion and they were trying to catch them cheating.

The bar counter was lavish and a row of spirits was behind the counter. There was also a line however, and people were in competition to get the bartender's attention. Eiji was in no rush however, he stood behind Banri wearing the feminine form with open shoulders with an arm around their waist.

He bent forward and rested his chin against their bare shoulders as he watched the hustle and bustle of the bar. He had been in plenty a bar in his life and it was usually the same story.

"What should we buy with the winnings?" he asked Banri. It was kind of silly since they both pulled in very large salaries and could usually afford whatever they needed. Still there were things of luxury even out of their reach normally, so perhaps they could think of something outlandish to spend it on. Maybe they could get their own private boat?

Banri leaned back against Eiji and giggled as she felt a little stubble tickle her shoulders and neck. She rested her hands on his that were wrapped around her waist and interlocked their fingers. "I don’t know… There isn’t much I want. Not things money can buy anyways.” [break][break]

The woman swayed back and forth with the beat of a small band the casino must have had on retainer. Banri enjoyed performances of any kind and this one wasn’t particularly exciting but still mesmerizing to watch as they waited for the bartender to free up. "Maybe we could get a place of our own. Someplace nice. You know the walls of my apartment are paper thin and I’m tired of forgetting my stuff at your place all the time.” [break][break]

Banri’s thoughts were interrupted as two Casino agents, bulky guys in suits, came lumbering towards the pair; converging from two different directions. Their expressions were somber as ever. "Excuse me.” The one on the left spoke to get their attention. He didn’t seem particularly sorry for bothering them. "It’s time for the two of you to be moving on.”

"That would be good," Eiji said. "I... don't really want to live in my old house anymore. It is very old and sometimes depressing. Something new would be refreshing."

He glanced over at the casino agents who demanded that they leave. Eiji slid his eyes back towards Banri and then back to the agent. It was tempting to simply go outside and come back with a henge to look different, but Banri seemed to be getting bored of the scene anyways.

"We were just leaving, actually," Eiji replied as he stood up. "The sushi here sucks anyways," he said in a final dig as he started making his way away from them. He grabbed a handful of shrimp from a buffet table as he tugged Banri along outside.

He made his way out, stepping into the streets. The city was no Amegakure, but was dotted with several four and five story tall buildings.

He nibbled on a piece of shrimp before discarding the tail outside the exit to the casino.

"What do you think we should do next, Banri?" he asked. "The night is still young, so I don’t think we should turn in to our hotel quite yet.”
