By using one or more bolts of silk, the Waruichi criss-crosses one or more layers in front of them, or between them and their target. The technique works only on physical things, not those made of energy or fluid-like substances. Ideally, the silk will constrict and halt the movement, but it is not the most powerful technique, so in many cases it will be best used to modify the path of an incoming taijutsu strike or thrown weapon like kunai or shuriken to miss the Waruichi. NAME: Kinu dakkokki [Silken Thresher] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: Four REQUIREMENT: Waruichi Hijutsu; One or More Bolt(s) of Silk DESCRIPTION: This short-range technique, often used as a counter attack, sacrifices much in terms of potency for speed. By swiftly releasing their silk in bladed or blunted whips in front of them, the Waruichi can pummel a target that is within a meter or two of them with numerous threshing bolts. It may not be particularly accurate, so it relies upon luck and wide-radius, sweeping motions to try and compensate. Thanks to the deadly nature of Waruichi silk, Kinu dakkokki is much like a barrier of steel blades or clubs. NAME: Kinu fūsa [Silken Blockade] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: Five REQUIREMENT: Waruichi Hijutsu; One or More Bolt(s) of Silk; Kinu teiryū DESCRIPTION: An advanced form of Kinu teiryū [Silk Stop], that uses more silk and more chakra to increase the potency of the technique. By layering silk numerous times, the Waruichi can pull them taut to create a barrier of silk as durable as steel plating, but it can also be used as a net to capture projectiles or physical bodies and impede their trajectory and force them to miss the Waruichi. NAME: Kinu kara [Silken Shell] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Medium, Medium Sustain CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: Six REQUIREMENT: Waruichi Hijutsu; Silk Bolts, Cloak, or Armor DESCRIPTION: A simple, yet effective Waruichi technique that converts available silk close to their person into a defensive barrier. Generally, this focuses on using the strongest available, and thus their personal armor. The application of chakra to their defensive garments improves the already potent defensive capabilities. In many cases, the Waruichi will alter the form of their armor or available silk and create the defensive barrier just off their body for extra safety, but there is no real standard to how it is wielded. NAME: Kōshukei ito [The Hanging Thread] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: High, High Sustain CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: Seven REQUIREMENT: Waruichi Hijutsu; Silk Threads DESCRIPTION: A devious technique used by the Waruichi on anyone within twevlve meters and within arm's reach of their silk. The hanging thread takes advantage of any silk in the target's immediate vicinity that can readily wrap itself around a target’s body with preferences for the neck and appendages. Once the threads are secure, they are infused with chakra, pulled taut, and if they do not readily slice the target to bits, suspend and flay them over time. Breaking free is not easy, as the Waruichi’s silk is often as strong as the sturdiest nin-wire, and depending on the Waruichi, it could be stronger.

D-rank: Technique is often ineffective unless opponent is caught off guard. Technique can be easily dodged, blocked, or avoided for even genin-level shinobi. Defensive techniques may block only low-leveled weapons such as kunai, shuriken, or standard punches.

You started out well with "It may not be particularly accurate"

But then ruined it with

"but its’s wide-radius sweeping motions make up for it with indiscriminate attacks."

This would fall more in line with a c-rank as is.

I don't like the potential implications of the word redirect in here. Something along knocking away attacks would be fine.

Kinu kara [Silken Shell]
Given the levels of strength that waruichi silk can be i'd like this to go to b-rank.

Kōshukei ito [The Hanging Thread]
Need a maximum effective range. I am also not getting an understanding of what this technique looks like. Is the silk coming from the waruichi's origin or are they manipulating silk already on the battlefield? Are the threads gathered together for the attack or are there multiple threads from different directions?

Silk Stop- specify it as basic taijutsu. (What this effectively means is it will work on most c ranks because c-ranks by description can be blocked with basic techniques. This is fyi don’t mention ranks it blocks in description.)

Hanging Thread-
B-rank: Technique may be very powerful and can maim/injure multiple opponents. It may kill with very specified aim and precision. Technique may be difficult to break, however it may have major drawbacks should the technique fail . Techniques of this rank may also be countered easily.

Please add a drawback to occur if the tech is broken.
