A Testament to Stone Will ► Iwagakure's Young Prospects! ◄

A village needs to do something more important than proving itself to it's competitors. A village needs to first instill trust and faith in itself and it's future. In an attempt to do that Yutakako Takara is hosting the first military pageant, it is an event specifically for the youth of Iwagakure. Young shinobi prospects will perform in this event in order to prove themselves, as well as a means to entertain the masses and really make a name for each contestant. Hopefully inspiring a friendly competition that'll overall raise the moral of village. In order to draw in the youths, there's a rather generous list of prizes. Each participant will be bringing home a commission worth of one D-rank mission. Those who make it to the top places of the event will get these prizes. Third place will receive an additional commission worth of one C-rank mission, a bronze medal and a personal meeting with the Tsuchikage to hear their private views on the village and their future within it. Second place will receive a similar prize with the commission raised to the value of a B-rank mission and a silver medal. The first place winner will receive the amazing commission value of an A-rank mission, a gold medal, their own meeting with the Tsuchikage and a statue made in their honor added to a newly built stone shrine. The restrictions for the participants are quite simple; Must have at least one year of academy experience. Must be no older than nineteen, as this is a test for the youths Must accept and complete a background check, as well as agree to terms of the contest. Otherwise all who meet the measures are expected to sign up below with the application provided! [IMPORTANT NOTE!]: The above listed prizes are all simply in-character measures to draw a shinobi's interest. If you're wondering the true intention of this event, then you've probably not been patiently waiting for it like others. This will be the sign-up to apply for the position of Jinchuuriki within Iwagakure, they'll be a total of three events taking the course of probably two months hopefully less. Sakuraba is the youngest of the Okada Cousins and is known in the family as Sakuraba the Jobber. He is a bit on the shorter side coming in at 5'1 and can often be seen wearing a sweater and a pair of shorts along with his ring gear. Despite his small frame he has a very athletic build much like the other members of his family. He has a light pale colored skin and dark blue eyes along with dirty blonde hair.

Mini-Bio:

Is among the youngest of the Okada clan and considered by many weak/not skilled enough to archieve greatness. Has decided to shift his focus from family business to shinobi work after discovering his larger than normal chakra pool. Goes through accademy burning desire to prove his worth to the world and his family, will stop at nothing to show them up and find something to be considered special enough to be "worth it" to them and the village.

A slim built pre-teen, Sora's form has the base of someone who is still in the early days of their training - he's got muscle, but it's lean and not highly defined. His height is rather average for his age. Long blond hair that reaches to the small of his back is braided into a rat tail and he has gold-colored eyes.

Mini-Bio:

Sora is the bastard son of the current ANBU Captain, Ishiin Ryohei, but is currently unaware of that fact. He was raised in the Tsuchi no Kuni capital of Yamanashi by his mom, gaining a hero-worship for the shinobi that were stationed around the Daimyo's palace. When Sora's mom became deathly ill, she sent her son to Iwagakure so he could attend the Academy as he had always dreamed. At the moment, Sora is a ward of Iwagakure and is currently racing through his Academy classes in an attempt to make up for having enrolled later than most.

[Increased Durability] He is able to take a hit well and can outlast many of those around his age and skill rank, both for how long he can continue moving and the oomph he needs to carry on in a difficult fight.

Tenshin is a scrawny, but athletic individual with bushy black hair, tanned skin, and brown eyes. He stands at a lanky six feet tall, and weighs around 150lbs, without an ounce of fat on his body. In addition, he has several scars about his body, including two on his face that seem to make him very recognizable.

Mini-Bio:

Tenshin began in the academy at a young age, and had not displayed any ability to use chakra what-so-ever. Because of this, he dedicated every waking moment he had to increasing his physical abilities. While most might see him as a fairly weak individual at first glance, he was able to take out genin and chuunin above him with taijutsu alone while still remaining an academy student. With a special recommendation, Tenshin was able to earn the rank of Genin without being required to use the transformation, substitute and cloning techniques like his peers. As a genin, Tenshin was hand picked to be on a genin team as the "front-liner" with his two teammates being a genjutsu and puppetry specialist, and a medical specialist. The group bonded fast and hard, using each one of their strengths to counter the weaknesses of the other team. When it came time to compete in the chuunin exams, the group seemed like an unstoppable force, and were awarded the promotion swiftly after their completion of the exams. 

Special Ability:

After training with his jounin sensai, Tenshin eventually learned to use his chakra to even further amplify his physical abilities. They called the technique "Kaioken," a glowing red aura that surrounds Tenshin when activiated, that pushes his physical limits to their peak. While not quite on par with something like the Eight Gates, Kaioken still allows Joe an incredible boost to his physical abilities, allowing him to beat shinobi far above his rank when it comes to taijutsu.

[aihara ryoko]

Name: Aihara Ryoko

Appearance:

A short girl seeming much younger than her age, Ryoko is something of a mystery.  She dresses in a patchwork cloak that seems threadbare and worn, and keeps her head covered at all times beneath a broad hood made to look like a big grinning animal head of some sort.  She is also always carrying around a huge shuriken that's almost as wide across as she is tall.

Mini-Bio:

A child of the Aihara clan, Ryoko has so far breezed through the academy and undertaken a number of successful missions.  She was the champion of the most recent chuunin exams, making her promotion very recent.  She's also seen around the village nosing into other people's business and generally annoying higher ranked nin for her own amusement.

Special Ability:

Ryoko has her family's ability of Telekinesis.  She wields weapons with no hands, and has a strong affinity for the art.  She's also exceedingly courageous, some would even say bullheaded.  While not the smartest nin around, she is very dedicated and relentless.

[Iwai Sayua]

Sayua has flowing dark brown hair that lightens in the summer months and eyes of honeyed amber. Her complexion is pale and she is short of stature while lithe in figure. She has a long neck and a small nose with a slight upturn and pouty lips. On her lower left leg she has a small pear shaped birthmark and on her right arm there are signs of a burn from spilling boiling water on it in her youth.

Sayua's wardrobe typically consists of a white top with billowy sleeves that folds modestly above her chest right beneath her neckline. She wears a crimson skirt that falls slightly above her knees as well as white leggings that cover her legs. Her field attire also consists of a light metal plate that is fastened to her chest and back. Sayua also owns several kimono, usually preferring to stick with traditional reds found within her country.

-Father owns a popular curry restaurant with business connections to the Hisakawa clan.

Even before beginning her training in the medical corps Sayua had developed a good deal of chakra control. Born with mediocre chakra reserves, she struggled through practical applications in academy until she became more precise with her use of the technique. Practicing iryo ninjutsu has only helped to sharpen her skill over time.

Sayua has gone through the rigorous training regiment of Iwagakure's medical corps. She is trained in the practice of medicine using mundane tools and has a academic understanding of the human body.

Vital Sense
Sayua is able to feel the area around them with their chakra and locate nearby individuals through detecting their heartbeat, she can also see if a person is wounded and roughly how severe the wound is. She can detect but not identify the presence of toxins. Unlike a normal sensory talent she can not see objects or differentiate between different people. Her talent requires locating chakra networks so it is still able to be blocked by those using chakra suppression, and also those who do not have a heartbeat or can hide it.

Utilizing her excellent chakra control, Sayua has learned to mould her chakra with only one hand, albeit each seal is a bit slower to form than if she were using both hands.

Well I'm a former student of the last Jin. I've got my absolutely awesome fighting styles, the best in the village. Whether i'm fighting like a drunk or BREAK dancing the competition. I also could really use the money, I donate a lot of my earnings to the orphanage, the best go to fixing up me and my.... um... girlfriend's place.
