Damn Akira... Moment Music To say that Arashi's attention was split at the moment was an understatement. At the moment, getting out of her office was perhaps the best move, all things considered, she imagined that if the note itself didn't reach her father, the details of her actually getting something that made it's way through security was another issue. Something that she would need to look into. Especially with no return address. Perhaps that was the point, but she never heard anything about her mother getting such notes passed to her. Arms crossed over her chest, her eyes would remain closed as she walked down the road. Her focus was shifting and she knew that she had to do something to resolve it. There was too much to be done, and she wasn't about to allow this small note to disrupt her concentration. "It shouldn't be buggin me at all...I just hope ya found a deep space for it...." Nai would look toward the girl with a blank expression the large wolf nodding before then nodding toward what looked to be a rooftop. With a blank expression, the girl shook her head before releasing a breath. "Ya know ya ain't supposed to be climbin up anywhere...you're not so young anymore..." A growl was her answer, leading to the Jounin simply placing her hand upon her hip before shaking her head. "I get it....ya don't wanna be told ya old...but I'm not tryin to lose ya either...so just...keep it to a minumn okay?" Nai would seem to remain silent after that, looking toward the girl as she whined softly. "What? I'm okay...I'm just...I thought he understood...or that he would just move on....it wasn't like I did anythin to make it seem like I still had those feelings..." Resting her hand close to her chest, she'd then groan before looking over to see the training grounds. "Lets head over there...I need to blow off some steam...and it looks like it might be clear so no onlookers either..." As the two would make their way to a sectioned area of sand and hardened rock, the young female would then set her gourd down against a wall, looking around before releasing a breath as to clear the air. Honestly, the warm sun and slow breeze felt nice against her face. At the very least, it allowed for somewhat of a wake up sensation as it pressed against her. "Okay...so how bout we try an oldie...we haven't use the dust that ya got on ya fur in a while...might help with learnin somethin new..." Nai had usually not been included much in her training development in a long time. Honestly, it would be a lie to say that the injuries the old canine had taken in her exams hadn't rattled her. Though with this, it was a bit different. Collecting sand and dust from the coats of her pack had been one of her former means of keeping sand on hand. Especially before she had retrieved her gourd. As she began to rub the wolf's fur, a shock of static crossed her fingertips, prompting Arashi to blink as she saw it briefly and then looked over toward the wolf. "Heh...now theres an idea..." With a toothy grin, the young Sunagakure nin began to come to her next conclusion. While her sand armor protected her from the shock, the inspiration that came from the effect had given her an idea. One that perhaps was in part of what she had seen in one of her missions. The technique in which to control the form and shape of electricity. Her partner during the operation, Senju Kazuto, had managed to create a concentrated form based from Raiton and send it out toward their targets at great speed. More so than that, he had managed to control it in such a way that it could even be halted and prompted to sway in a means that made it so that it was almost alive. Looking down at her old friend, the idea of her doing something similar was certainly out there. But then, it would be nice to have something like it to honor her trusted companion. Despite her deepest thoughts being negative, she did know the truth of the matter. Nai wasn't getting any younger. She had lived half her life within the desert and in lands far beyond it. While she had never learned just where the canine came from, she always imagined that she had to have been a stray from a clan within Konohagakure. After meeting one of them, she had almost been certain of it. Still, half her life had been tasked doing who knew what, and the rest, she had spent looking after her and the rest of the pack. She had a full life, and it would be wrong of her to let herself forget that she didn't have to do any of it. She could have easily left her in that alley that night to freeze to death so many years ago. But here she was, beside her as always. As the wolf laid herself down and began to lick at her paws, Arashi would consider the steps in producing that kind of static. While Nai was present now, there had to be a means in which for her to do so without her as well. But, for a starting point, it seemed like the good way to go. "Okay...heres what I'm thinkin...I can use the static from your coat to create a small charge and mold it from there...It's a long shot..but it might work..." Nai would look up with a brief expression of disbelief, and she could tell that she was judging her in her silence. "It can so work...I'm not lying or anything...my family literally can move iron and all kinds of minerals around with ease...magnetism was always inherit, but I never got it...or at least...I never figured I had it in me..." Looking down toward her palm, Arashi would clench her hand into a fist before then nodding to herself. "Better to try and find out...who knows? Might come in handy one day...ya know?" Nai would bark before then rising back up slow, her body moving in front of Arashi as she allowed her to gently stroke her fur. The charge would take some time, and she'd have to focus if she wanted to collect it properly. Lather, Rinse, Repeat Time would progress on the training field, the young woman now seated upon the ground as she continued to rub at the wolf's fur. The static was staring to show clearly as the raised hairs upon Nai was indication of the building charge. But sadly, it didn't feel like it was enough in which for Arashi to actually form any kind of build up for the jutsu in mind. Her hand resting beneath her face, the other still scratching the canine behind the ear, the Jounin would frown slightly as a sigh of annoyance escaped her lips. "Well...at least one of us is gettin somethin they want..." As Nai barked, looking up toward the girl as her head rested upon the shinobi's lap, the Suna nin would narrow her eyes before finally smiling a bit as she began to feel at least a bit more at ease after the message she had gotten. There was nothing like getting some space and doing something more proactive to return peace of mind. Still, it was getting her no where in terms of learning the technique in which she saw on display. "What was it that he did? He had to manage to form it into a linking chain that managed to cross over the surface. But how the hell did he build it up?" It had to do with chakra control, but there was no way she could figure it out if she didn't at least have some semblance of Raiton understanding. What was it that people did to channel it? She always thought it was nothing more than their natural affinity to it, but hers had always been Fuuton. That and with her abilities of Shukaku, she was a master of channeling the wind element. Lightning was completely different. But then, what was it that prompting members of the Oonakayama clan to be able to wield iron? Hell, she was able to use gold, but that took instructions from an ancient being. Legs crossed beneath her, she could see people passing by as they moved across the field of sand, likely going about their own business to leave the contemplating shinobi to her task, yet as she finally closed her eyes as if to think, she felt a small spark come again, this time seeming to raise the dog's hair the moment she slowly rose her hand away from it. "Heh hah! It worked! Okay....so I got some charged electricity...or at least static..." Rising quickly to her feet, Arashi would see it slightly if she looked closer to her palm, the sparks more or less cracking against the surface of her sand covered fingertips, flicking off bits as quickly as they resurfaced over it. It was strange to feel such energy just rattling against her hardened skin, but then, sensation wasn't exactly something she could be completely aware of, only somewhat remember. Though if it was anything like what she could recall, getting shocked wasn't exactly the most fun. "So....now what?" Nai would simply tilt her head to the side, clearly not aware of the next step either. While she may have been able to identify how to create a charge, it wasn't as though she knew much of what to do with it. There was something else the man had done as well. Something more specific. In truth, perhaps she should have paid more attention, but then again, she was busy dealing with other matters when she finally caught up to witness it. Perhaps it should have been more of a giving that she found a way to achieve the end goal of just making sparks. Something big likely had to be earned through small steps. Even she knew that, no point in trying to skip through the process if she couldn't get the basics down first. "Fine...so I guess it's basics...though what can I do with this static electricity?" Still looking down at her palm, the girl would sigh before shaking her hand to try as to calm down the sudden crackling surfacing along her fingertips. While time had been able to aid in Arashi being able to turn off her overpowered gales and sand manipulation, this was strangely different as she continued to try and shake off the sparks that were continuing to flare up across the surface of her hand. It wasn't painful, that much was clear, as most people would likely be worried about fires or burns. Though it was much harder to cut through such a heavy defense that had been mounted up over years of isolation and collection of dust within her homeland. Still, as Nai continued to bark and try to get the girl's attention, Arashi continued to feel the the stress of the situation building as she was now almost dancing across the area, waving her hand from one side to the next as more and more static seemed to fly off her fingertips. She wasn't trying to get attention, but she imagined the show of hand waving and trying to disburse the electric charge. "Shit...just...come on! How much fur do ya have Nai? It won't...just...crap!" Arashi would prepare to place her hand into the sand, prompting the ground to start to churn and darken in hue. It was more than a bit surprising, seeing the burn marks that were now blackening the dust beneath her. Of course, as she drew her hand back out, it seemed that the sparks were still going off, leading to her finally trying to fling the static off another way, prompting the electricity to arc outward and strike against a small tree. With the charge now displaced, the young Jounin would release a breath before seeing the flames upon the dried bark ignite and burst outward. Consumed in fire, the sickly tree would slowly continue to burn, leaving Nai and Arashi to simply watch the display. "Oh...well...yea thats...handy..." A groan would come from the large wolf at her side, allowing for Arashi to get the picture of dealing with this as she quickly summoned a field of sand to cover the fiery tree, much like a blanket. As it's shapeless form wrapped around it, Arashi would release a breath as she could see the flames starting to die down. "I think I got somethin here...it isn't much...but it can release enough of a shock to combust certain things...but then again...this is the desert..." The user then transfers the stored electric shock into the object allowing it to shock the next person to touch it. This method is also harmless and arguably better for setting up pranks, but can still ignite flammables and causes a brief instance of pain. Despite the loss of what was likely one of the free trees actually to survive within the training grounds, Arashi was at the very least satisfied that she had managed to pull off at least something that was tied into Raiton. At the very least, it showed that she was able of learning more techniques within the field itself. It even gave some legitimacy to her being part of a clan that used much of their techniques through electro-magnetism. Granted, she didn't see herself wielding iron pellets anytime soon though. In the end, it certainly had given her something else to focus on. With the smoldering remains of the tree now controlled and more so a pile of ash, the young woman would then begin to pace back and forth as she worked toward recalling the sensation she felt before charging it. "It was...energetic? Excited....it was...calm...and then zap..." Nai would begin to bite at her own paw, leading to Arashi placing one hand beneath her face as she prepared to try it again. She had somehow found a way to be at peace with herself...in the moment. Her stroking of Nai's fur had always been a bit of a easer for her. Perhaps that was it. She had to be in that present moment. Releasing a soft breath, she'd close her eyes before focusing her thoughts. Hands gripped at her sides, she'd slowly extend one hand outward, feeling a short tingle move along her arm, yet soon enough, the sparks would enact their little dance across her fingertips. As Arashi opened her eyes to see this display, she'd shift her fingers into a single seal, seeming to work toward channeling the electrified chakra into her digits. With a sweeping of them through the air, the arc created would return, creating the short burst that had happened before, but more controlled as it shot forth. The instant it showed itself, the quicker it faded away, leading to the girl showing a toothy grin as she raised her fist into the air. "Woohoo! How's that!? While likely juvenile to have such celebrations be made by the Jounin, Arashi would continue to dance in the middle of the training field, Nai moving around her happily as the girl seemed to be almost in another world in and of itself. As her hips moved from side to side, hands in the air as she spin around, she'd soon realize the small gathering in the distance watching her, prompting her to stop once she opened her eyes to see them. A blank expression rested on her face, leading to her raising her hand and coughing into it as she did a heel turn and placed her hands behind her back. Making her way from the grounds, the young woman would smirk as she held up her hand and snickered. "This is perfect...static first...next lightning itself. Soon enough, I'll have everything I need to be a Raiton user as well. Just wait and see..." With Nai moving beside her, the girl would then look down as she petted the old wolf, her thoughts allowing her to reflect on the achievement. Then I'll be able to keep you with me where ever I go girl...just in case... Perhaps the thought was a bit morbid. After all, she felt that Nai had a lot of good years left in her. But it would be foolish to believe that she'd be around forever. Life had a way of allowing those who had done their duty to pass on to the next great adventure beyond. Nai was her first real friend, she was her protector, her surrogate mother, her loyal partner. While she may not have wished for their union to end, one day...it would.
