Duties that tended to take longer periods of time would require for Arashi to be mostly outside of her office space. It was certainly a break to get some air from the enclosed space within the Kage Tower. Of course, it also prompted a moment in which for the young woman to recharge the constant draining batter that was her energy, or better her patience. It seemed like it was easier when she wasn't running things. She had a lot more free time, and it didn't feel like she was nursing a constant headache. It wasn't the people under her charge that was the problem, simply the overload of information that was persistently pressing against her brain. A far cry from the time in which she could spend at least in some contemplation. So much was simply being pushed her way that getting room to breath was a luxury. Still, in the moments that she could, she managed to take up the suggestion of her sister and trying to at least keep herself refreshed with a beverage. Recalling the iced coffee that had been provided the last time, she had started to make a habit of getting one, rather than her go to stress food of sweets. Not that it was a quick transition, but the frozen treat did kill most of the cravings. Upon approaching the stand, the Jounin would begin to drink from it, closing her eyes as she released a sigh of content. "How the hell have I gone so long without you...." A smile upon her lips, she continue to suck upon the straw, taking in very ounce she could before feeling the chill reach the back of her neck, laughing lightly at the sensation of brain freeze. "Owch...Heh heh...never get tired of that little shock..." As the owner seemed to nod with a smile of his own, the young female would continue to enjoy this small moment of silliness. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range. Will of Sand Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This sensing sand can be spread across a wide terrain of 100 feet, or even float in the air allowing aerial foes to be detected for an extended range of 150 feet due to it's lack of being stationary. As much as Arashi was enjoying this breathing moment, she figured that it was limited to what she knew she needed to do for herself. After all, time was a luxury she had little of anymore. If anything, she was stalling to just enjoy the little things. Releasing a breath as she bowed in thanks to the owner, she'd soon make her way down the street, drink in hand as she made her way toward the training grounds. Keeping her face low as she sipped upon the beverage, she'd soon find the area in which she'd set herself down before continuing her consumption. The objective of the day was not just taking her own time away, but using it to better herself. So far, that task had been within using Raiton. So far, she had managed to master the art of creating static, though she couldn't rely on one of her dogs being there to give her a boost. She would have to be able to generate it herself. Not only that, but she'd have to be able to discharge it and leave it upon objects if she wanted to be effective in combat. Though where to start.... With her legs crossed beneath her, the covered cup still close to her chest, she'd soon draw her lips away from the straw, prompting a sigh to escape her. "Maybe I should start with what I did last time...the sensation...it was...tingling and kinda just...sudden..." Tilting her head to the side, the young woman would then begin to prepare herself, allowing her mind to go blank as she searched through her thoughts and memories. It seemed like the best place to start, after all, she had to soon enough be able to draw out this chakra nature on a whim sooner or later. Yet for now, focusing on it seemed to work, allowing for that sensation to occur yet again, the sparks crossing the length of her arm before then cracking at the surface of her hardened sand armor. With her gathering a charge, it soon seemed to linger and travel further up the length of her arm. The sensation was certainly, no pun intended, electric, prompting the young female to extend her hand out as she formed her fingers into a simple seal, releasing the static through the air as it struck against the sand close to her. The spark upon impact was no surprise, nor was the sight of the black spot the strike had made against it. It wasn't much, but then it was more control she had of the current then when she first started doing this. Then again, what did she expect with learning a whole new element? It was as if she was remembering how to make a fire, a subject that had taken her some time to learn as well, but the information was hard to forget. This was just one of those times in which she had to figure out something and be sure to never forget it. Switching from one nature to another. Though so far, she was starting to feel like she had a good handle on it. Though now, she had to figure out a means to place it into other things. It was as though she had touched something hot upon her tongue, the drink container dropping from her hand as she watched it fall to the ground beneath her lap. Looking at the loss, the young woman would sigh before seeing the liquid begin the process of being absorbed into the surface of the ground. It was a heavy loss, one that she felt in the pit of her soul. Of course, that may have been a tad over dramatic, her eyes lingering toward it before releasing a sigh. "Oh well...still...discharged electricity..." A part her began to see a possible connection there, leading to her reaching for the cup as she began to look over it. It was nothing more than paper crafted and modeled into a frame that was suitable for carrying contents both hot and cold. It was pretty simple in all regards, but as she began to consider what she could do with just this cup with a small spark, Arashi would imagine what else could be allowed for Raiton to be placed within. It was near endless in truth, a self contained bomb or shorts that could release a shock that might very well stun an enemy if timed correctly. With these ideas starting to flow, a smirk crossed her lips as she began to set the cup down on the ground beside her, rising up herself as she began to create yet another charge of static. "I think I got it...creating a charge and applying it to an object to release a small surge of electricity. The discharge itself inflicts the damage...or at least should. I doubt if someone is wearing resistant armor or gear it will do little more than tickle..." Cupping her hand beneath her face, the Sunagakure nin would cross the other arm across her chest, looking over at the object that had once been her saving grace, now to be a weapon of small disruption. "Heh...I would have killed for a skill like this back in the day..." Minor nostalgia aside, it looked like Arashi had an idea for how she was going to use this new tactic, of course, applying it seemed to be the most challenging aspect. After all, it would require some level of control to place chakra into an object. She had done so similarly with her Fuuton techniques, but electricity was a bit more unstable. The more she thought about, the more she began to realize that she had already done this before just a moment ago. Of course, it hadn't been on purpose. The shock she had gotten from her cup. Looking over at the container once more, she began to reach down to take hold of it, holding her hand against it as she began to apply chakra into it. It took a moment, her focus remaining upon centralizing the applied amount into the surface of the object. It was somewhat applicable, though she didn't think it would give off much of a shock as something much more adaptable to electricity. Still, it seemed like a good practice target to start off with. In holding up a single seal with her hand, she'd watch the sparks begin to fly, seeming to prompt the drink cup to explode, leading to her jumping back slightly as she liquid within began to surge outward, splattering against her natural defenses as it slide down as if against a wall. "Wow....okay....now we're getting somewhere..." A smirk cross her lips as she allowed her now free hand to shake of the cold liquid, feeling a bit sticky as she laid it down into the sand as a means to dry it off. Now was the time for the true test. Though if it worked, what else could she apply it to as to further cement her understanding of this technique? It seemed as though Arashi had a planned action in order, now it was the process of getting it done. As she extended her hand outward, a seal would cross the surface of her palm, prompting a vast number of symbols to stream over it's surface. She'd soon enough cause an object to appear within her grasp. With a Fuma-shuriken seeming to appear out of nothing, the young woman would then flick at it's holster lock, allowing it to open into it's four bladed shape. Now seemed to be the moment of truth... As she allowed for a sudden spark to course the length of her arm, it would seem to embed itself into the steel weapon, flickering only for an instant before fading away. She'd likely have to work on it being so obvious, but that was for later. For now, she had to test to see if she could activate the small Raiton trap. How far would it reach? Was it only a short distance? No way to know for sure. Perhaps using the large Shuriken, she could increase that gap. Or at least, she could once she knew how far the static release would extend. Holding up her hand, she'd narrow her gaze before creating a single seal, releasing a burst of electricity from the center of the metal tool, causing a spark as the burst was enough to cover the length of her body and even chip away at her defense, despite it's holding strength. It was quite the sight, one that left the hazel eyes of Arashi open before she released the weapon and then shook off the lingering static that seemed to cover the length of her arm. As such, she can summon weapons she has sealed within them and rearrange the seals to be able to perform various fuuinjutsu that she has knowledge of without scrolls by using her own skin. The process itself was no different than when she sealed chakra into objects in the past. If anything, the resemblance between that and using techniques within Fuuinjutsu was almost the same. Only it was more or less a single element and it didn't require her accessing her Curse makes to a certain degree. That wasn't to say that they couldn't be involved, but it was a technique that could be useful if she was unable to do so easily. Still, this was a step in the right direction. Now it was time to test the range of such a move. As she pulled the Shuriken out from the sand, she'd rotate her shoulders as she prepared for her toss, applying Raiton into the steel yet again as she got ready. There was a good chance that if she were ever coming against a encounter, the opponent would likely try and rush in. There was the off chance that they could just as soon dodge and move out of the way, but she figured the pulse itself might very well catch them by surprise. It was just as if she were using a medium to create a field that could act as a protection, or even a barrier to keep something in, rather than let them out. The ideas were flooding to her, but she had to remain focus on the task at hand. With her sudden toss of the large throwing star, she'd watch the object soar across the distance, spinning within it's rotation as it began to cross the distance between herself and an invisible target. As she waited a moment, she'd soon create a single seal with her hand, prompting the burst of static as she noted the expanded charge that was sent out. It was quite wide, but not much considering the amount that was placed within. It was possible that it could be stronger if enough electricity was placed inside of it. But still, anything that got within range would receive an unwelcomed surprise. A simplistic concept, yet still with plenty to improve upon. Still, what what she had learned today, it was an obvious conclusion in the end. Raiton could just as easily be sealed away into objects and then discharged at a minimum distance. Of course, depending on the amount of chakra sealed away, it could be great or small. With a technique like this, it was at least a maximum spread of a foot. Meaning that she could use it at close range and shield herself from the discharge, or apply it to an weapon, much like she had with her Fuma-shuriken, and increase the distance before releasing the charge. Each were key points when using this kind of technique, and Arashi could only grin as she saw her weapon continue it's flight before prompting itself into the ground a few feet away. The likely reason for such a short distance would be due to the burst that shook it's trajectory. Though she imagined that if she hadn't, it would have flown out even further. Not to say that she wasn't up for a quick run, but the last thing she needed was to hear that she had managed to hit some poor soul that had crossed it's path. Making her way over to the weapon, she'd calmly retrieve it before prompting her curse marks to activate, only allowing the seals upon her wrist to take hold before causing the weapon to vanish within her hand. "All and all....nice...Raiton isn't a joke...still....I'm not exactly a master at it just yet...I gotta keep training with it before I can make that claim..." Though with what she had learned so far, she could easily become one with enough time. That seemed to always be the case with anything that was important. Time...thankfully, she had small moments in which she could use. It wasn't much, but it would do as long as she rationed it out with her other duties. From there, it was only the matter of tossing it, the ball flying through the air as she would then direct her free hand to create the seal for Raiton release, allowing for the orb to release a burst of electricity, burning the surface of the sand orb to the point that it was black and smoking from the effect. SPOILER: Click to show -S.A Used- Ultimate Defense A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike. Ichibi Curse Seal The only ability Arashi has competent control over, this is the ability to utilize the curse seal marks over Shukaku’s body for her own bidding. Arashi can will the seals to cover her own body and control them to form various seals to preform fuuinjutsu from her own skin. As such, she can summon weapons she has sealed within them and rearrange the seals to be able to perform various fuuinjutsu that she has knowledge of without scrolls by using her own skin.
