Recently Kaede had been spending more and more time in the company of the local taverns in town, this had been a recurring theme for the sage recently due to not much really going on for the sage and just because Kaede liked to drink one of the finer pleasures in the sages life that he enjoys. Having spend the day before in the local local tavern it was often normal for Kaede to awaken with a hangover and pass out in random spots around Kumogakure, today had been no different for Kaede as he awoke slept against a tree. The sun shined bright in Kaede's eyes as he started to open his eyes. After adjusting to the sudden brightness he simply yawned and stretched himself out before getting to his feet.

Now that Kaede was on his feet he looked around and couldn't remember much about last night. He often wondered how he got into the places he did after enjoying himself. Today had been no different for Kaede and would likely not change anytime soon in the future. As he continued to shake his hangover off he remembered he had someplace to be today. Then he suddenly remember that he was supposed to take part in some training with another one of his fellow ninja's. While it didn't involve himself drinking for one it had been a while since someone had asked Kaede to train or with someone. Though if he remembered correctly the ninja he was training with Yukiko, she was skilled in many types of techniques and a certain skill that Kaede had heard she was capable of performing. Kaede had took an interest in learning this jutsu from Yukiko. With the goal in his mind Kaede headed to the training field to meet up with Yukiko. He was likely already late, but it was normal when it came to Kaede. He just was excited to train and learn if you could believe it with a man like Kaede. Even though he was more than capable it was getting the motivation nowadays. It wouldn't take Kaede long to reach the training grounds.

It was a little past the dawn heading into the middle of the day. Yukiko was just finishing her training with her students and is now waiting for Kaede to show up so she can teach him some new techniques he was interested in. For her, it was nothing special but for many people, it’s an uncommon technique in the area. Although the majority of the country uses ration, this technique was little special than the one’s used in the village.

Turning noon and Kaede was nowhere to be found. Yukiko would give him another fifteen minutes before heading home. She’s usually patient but if he’s the one who requested her, he should be the one showing up on time. But as always knowing who she’s talking about he’s probably passed out drunk somewhere in the village. It was no doubt that he’ll probably be late.

A few minutes have passed and she spotted a dot in the distance. It was no doubt that was Kaede. He has a specific figure that you can’t miss from a distance. The man grew bigger and bigger by the second. And finally reaching her position. "You know my students have better time management than you and that’s saying something.” She gives a joke as she waits to see what he has to say about his tardiness before proceeding on with why he has summoned her here.

Not that he had paid much attention, but Kaede had already been running late for his session with Yukiko. He had mentioned a time and place to meet with her, but was already way behind that time. Not that he exactly knew the time right now, but the reasons for his lateness as his own fault. He would finally reach the training grounds, not having a clue about the time currently. He could see Yukiko waiting for Kaede, clearly she wasn't impressed with Kaede and had no idea she had been waiting for his lazy self to arrive. He listened to Yukiko speak about her students having better time management than Kaede. Her statement was totally true as well, Kaede's time management was awful at the best of times. He thought about making an excuse one other than the reasons for actually been late, but decided against it. The man was already in enough trouble with Yukiko. "Well its as you can expect for the most part. I found myself lost in time last night and was what you call having a night cap in the local tavern. I might have got carried away and slept rough again...." He said putting a hand to the back of his head before grinning at Yukiko.

Kaede not that he would openly admit it, but more recently was spending a lot more time in bars, taverns and local brothels. He was drinking heavy and often finding himself sleeping rough. Things have not always gone well for Kaede and hopefully he would shake this slump he found himself in. He hoped training with Yukiko would help him. " Again sorry for making you wait, I will try better in my time management. " Kaede had said before knowing fine well that Kaede's time management skills are going to take a lot of work for the future.

After the tardiness of Kaede, Yukiko wasn’t going to buy any excuses he made. But unlike her cousin, he didn’t make any. "First you need to fix yourself up. I don’t like the smell of alcohol. Second, if I can deal with Yuudai and his bad time management skills I can surly deal with yours.” She was obviously lying about Yuudai’s time management. It was a bluff for him to think she’s not joking around with this stuff.

"Once you’re done with that we can get started.”

After the wait, she would finally begin on the demonstration of the technique that he was requesting. Although she has multiple versions of this. She’s going to start with the basic one.

"Now I hope I don’t need to explain to an Elite Jonin how chakra works. To perform the technique is like performing any other one. First, you’ll perform the hand signs.” As for the first time, she would show him the signs at a slow pace so he’s able to see them.

"I feel like I’m teaching my students how to perform a technique so we’re going to pretty much going to cut to the chase.”

For the demonstration, she would focus her chakra on her index finger creating a flow of raiton chakra in the tip of her finger. Once completed she would then jab her finger into a key pressure point area on a dummy next to her. Although it’s not required hitting the opponent in a key area could fatally kill them if done properly.

Kaede wasn't really shocked by Yukiko's reaction as it was to be expected considering how late Kaede had been and the state he had turned up in. He supposed it wasn't a good first impression to make on someone. Yukiko had issued Kaede with some simple instructions for Kaede to follow first of all before they even started any type of training. Once Kaede was finished they would be able to start. Before anything he couldn't really do much about the smell of alcohol as it would linger for a time, but he could at least freshen himself up. Kaede would simply head over to the nearest water source a water feature of some kind as he used the water located there to clean his hands and face. He even used some of the water to clean the dirt from his clothes the best he could. Its what you get from sleeping out doors. Now that he had done that he simply returned to Yukiko so that he was ready to train. As for the second part of her request all that Kaede could do was try to improve on his punctuality and to try to be on time. "Ill try to improve for next time. Kaede said with a hand simply at the back of his head, hoping that she wouldn't take what he said with any truth as he probably would still be late in future.

Kaede knew that Yukiko was probably joking with the statement about him being an Elite Jounin and him not knowing about chakra considering that he was a village sage. Handsigns for techniques was pretty much a given as with most jutsu nowadays so that was to be expected. As Yukiko would show the handsigns for the technique, Kaede took a quick note with his eyes and within his mind simply remembering them without much of a problem considering that Kaede was supposed to be a genius. Yukiko then spoke again saying it had been like teaching her students, though Kaede knew all about that being the village sage. " I understand that for sure. " Kaede said with a slight grin.

Then came the techniques demonstration from Yukiko as four finger tips on her hand started to radiated with lightning chakra, then with a burst of speed she moved towards the training dummy then hit it with precise accuracy. Causing the dummy to implode with the damage it had caused. The technique looked simple enough, but at the same time you can never judge a book by its cover.

After she had moved back so the area was clear in front of Kaede he would have a go of the technique himself as she had just showed him. Kaede simply followed the handsigns she performed before, he would channel his body's chakra points towards his arm and more importantly to his hand. " Well here goes nothing. " He said as the chakra points on four of his fingers started to radiate with lightning chakra with that done Kaede charged forward as Yukiko did and aimed his four fingers at the dummy and hit it. Expecting the same result as Yukiko's technique Kaede jumped backwards but nothing happened on the new dummy as Kaede looked down at his hand he had spotted the chakra had fizzled out before he had even hit the dummy. "Damn it." He said holding out his right hand in front of himself.

Watching him perform the technique was an interesting sight to see. Although usually if they fail she would coach them on what to do next time but consider the man she’s showing the technique to has more experience than her she believes he can figure it out within seconds after failing.

"Well, you got the basics of it… Might want to try and add more chakra into the technique. If you’re still having trouble try lowering to three or two fingers before trying it again with four.”

She wasn’t really sure how to respond to a grown man that has more power than she does but she’s pretty much going to teach him how she would teach one of her students. Knowing that though he should understand why she’s teaching him like a child and would play along with it.

Before she has him try it again, she gives give out a nod hoping he would intake her small advice even if it’s something quite simple and obvious as that.

"You got it this time just remember to put in more chakra this time.”

Waiting to see what the man has is going to do will either make her really believe if he’s capable of being the sage or just a meaningless shinobi that slacks off.

Having listened to Yukiko's various advise on what Kaede should do in order to make the technique work. He decided that using less fingers would not work in this situation as it seems the jutsu's power would get stronger if less fingers would use and would not be successful in Kaede learning the jutsu, but what he could do was use his thumb as well while it wasn't all that suitable it would be great for a training spectacle for Kaede and her second piece of advice about using more chakra could also be an option for the man. For now though he would try using his thumb in order to control the chakra in his hand better while it wouldn't have the same power as four fingers it would be best for now, plus Kaede was just happy learning something new it had been a while for the man. So with that he adjusted his hand to include his thumb as well, it had to adjust the angle of his hand to compensate, but it would do for now to test its effectiveness, so now Kaede was about to attempt his run up again. "Here goes nothing." He said as he ran towards the test dummy again this time striking at the same angle as before with five points of contact which was his four fingers and one thumb, the striking felt weird to perform with his added thumb, but the reaction as he hid the dummy sent it flying backwards causing some damage, but with less power than what Yukiko had performed it as, but now Kaede was at least showing some progression. "Well not bad if I say so myself. What do you think Yukiko? He said grinning slightly.

She looked at the older man. Preparing to perform the technique though was another thing. Although this time he did manage to perform the technique but not the proper way of doing so. But it’s a start.

"Not bad. Might be consider as the technique but let’s try and eliminate that thumb. Remember this is supposed to be like a stab with your hands not like Chidori.”

She mentions those two techniques because they can be mistaken for each other if not done correctly. As at a distance, they both could look a lot like the same.

"I would recommend trying again and this time only do it with the proper amount. If not then just keep going until you can finally get used to it. Or you can try my way and go down to three fingers and get used to the jabbing part”

As she steps back she gives him the space he needs to prepare for another run-through of the technique. This time though he really needs to get away from having to use that thumb so she hopes he listens to her advice and take away the thumb and just keep practising with how the technique is supposed to be.

Kaede really did need to go rid of using his thumb as part of the technique as the point of it was to use a specfic amount of fingers for a piercing strike. While she mentioned something called Chidori he had never seen it before or heard of it so could really comment on how similar they might have been to one another. For now though he wanted to personally try again with learning the technique. So after listening to Yukiko's advice on what he should be doing with the technique he decided to give it another go this time using his thumb and would then try something else. He wanted to get the stabbing motion correct as it seemed to Kaede that seemed to be the hardest part of the movement, transitioning from running to a thrusting motion. So moving back to where he started, Kaede would perform the hand-sign movements once again before reading his entire hand for another run with practising with his fingers and his thumbs as his entire hand glowed like before as he ran towards the training dummy once again and with a thrusting motion he thrust towards the dummy knocking it backwards using his fingers and his thumb. It knocked the dummy back as before. So with the slight pause he would speak. "Now to try for real." He said before smiling and heading back to the starting position. This time he took a second to gather himself and take in some air into his lungs. Then he would perform the same hand-signs as before but this time he got rid of using his thumb and would try to do the technique normally. This time he increased his chakra usage, upping his output to 10 percent more. As the chakra around his four fingers started to glow as he moved forward and lunge towards the training dummy, but as before as he was about to strike the target his chakra in his fingers went out and the technique failed again. " Probably needs more juice." What he had meant by juice is more chakra used.

It was quite impressive that he was able to perform the technique with all five of his fingers. Usually, she would have thought that someone with his level of power would be able to tackle this technique down. So for that matter, she had to think of another way to get him to perform this. By the looks of it, he doesn’t have the greatest control over his chakra which means for her to explain it better for him she used another term. Even for someone with no experience with medical, he is bound to understand what she’s saying.

"Okay. Let’s try this. Do you know how medical techniques tend to involve focusing their chakra into their fingers or palm? Well, how about for now you focus on getting chakra to your palm then try and distribute it to your fingers. For now, try and just move it to one of your fingers then eventually keep adding. You need to control the chakra to your fingers or it won't work.”

Hopefully, the medical term might have helped out a little. She wasn’t sure what else to explain since she had no clue about how the sage mode worked. Maybe this should have been the first step they should have worked on but it gave her an idea on how to show him how to do the technique.

It was pretty obvious that without putting in a great more chakra at least for Kaede to learn the technique he would have to put in a lot of chakra each time to get the jutsu he was learning down. Obviously he wasn't all that great with chakra control hence the reason the chakra in his finger tips were going dead before hitting his target. So as Yukiko put it forward to him she put forward a method for Kaede to try and he would go about giving her suggestion a go. Before he tried to do the jutsu again he would first learn to try and keep it maintained stationary for an extended period of time.

Kaede after listening to Yukiko's wise words he responded. " Sounds like a plan Yukiko lets give it a try. What happened next was Kaede would put his right hand up and out in front of him, first he would try to channel chakra to one of his fingers to start with and maintaining it for a period of time. So with that in his mind Kaede would focus his vision onto his hand like a shark stalking its prey so that he had full concentration. Kaede's chakra would start to radiate to one of his fingers, it began to glow in lightning chakra as he held his hand there for a moment so that he maintained the chakra flow of it. A good twenty seconds went by as the chakra maintained its flow. "Well that's the first finger down lets try to control it on more...." With that Kaede would focus on trying to get more fingers flowing with chakra, using what little control he had.

After her explaining her thought process of him performing the technique she would watch him perform it. At this point, it was only a matter of trial and error. Eventually, she will figure out how to get him to perform the technique.

Watching him gather the chakra into his finger was a good start. Then it hit her. He might be able to reserve chakra in his palm and distribute it out throughout his fingers. But again he needs to control it to only exit through his fingers. Right now his chakra has to run through the entire body just to perform this technique. But maybe that might be something he can work on another time. The only thing she was asked for is to teach him this technique.

"You know it’s looking better now. I guess the best thing I can think of is to just keep doing this and have your body get used to something like this. It’s not really easy to control chakra if you’ve never had to. And this technique you’re kind of needing to.”

Even with the small amount of help, she’s really given him the only thing he really needs to do is to practice it over and over. It’s not like other techniques, this one is very precise on where the chakra goes and where to use it on the opponent.

Kaede has listened to Yukiko speak again saying to Kaede that he was doing a lot better with the control he had managed thus far. He just needed to make sure he can get all four of his fingers glowing in lightning chakra at the same time and maintain it for a period of time. So with the one finger he still had maintained with lightning chakra with his hand out in front of him, he would then look at his hand once again as he attempted for the chakra to be spread to his next finger across, within moments he had managed to get his second finger to radiate in lightning chakra. It was true for most of Keisuke's jutsu ability with his Ninjutsu's, he really had no need for control with his vast chakra reserves as he just used vast amounts chakra for his jutsu without having to worry about his control all that much. Now that he has to try and maintain a technique for a period of time with little chakra control its something in Kaede's life he is learning even as an older and experienced ninja. It presented a challenge to the man and her thrived for it.

After maintaining his chakra in his first and second fingers for a portion of time now, decided to work on getting the same results with his third fingers as he concentrated on his hand. "Concentrate Kaede." He mostly said to himself.

While watching the other Jonin conduct the lightning into his fingers. She was very impressed to see the fact he manages to get the first to fingers going with no issues at all. Although with the third one struggling a little she thought to herself that he’s not pushing enough chakra now. At this point for her, she would normally focus a lot of chakra in her palm and then distribute it throughout her fingers instead of having to push it from all over the body. Although including that right now might break the progress he’s already made.

"You look like you’re losing the chakra for the three fingers. At this point, I would try and push more chakra out while maintaining control of the other two. I’m not saying right now but the next time you try this try and focus a lot of chakra near the palm and distribute it between your fingers. But for now, just keep doing what you’re doing so you can get used to doing this part.”

She wasn’t sure if that was good enough advice but it is what she does when performing the technique. This time though it’s on him and his ability to try and find a comfortable spot for him to push the chakra into his hand.

The chakra being maintained in Kaede's three fingers was beginning to fade slightly as he had maintained it for so long that the chakra he had used was running out, so in his next run he would have to make sure he uses a lot more now that he can control the chakra better in his fingers. Yukiko had been right with her statement as he nodded in response to her. Then listened a bit more before speaking. " For now ill get chakra in all four fingers and maintain it till the chakra from this usage runs dry and I will try again with more chakra as you said. I will make sure to use a greater amount than this run." With that Kaede would do the same in his last finger as he had done with his other three fingers, he concentrated the remaining chakra of the jutsu into his last finger as the raiton chakra glowed on his last finger so that all four of his fingers glowed at least for the moment before the raiton chakra from the jutsu had run out and his fingers went back to normal. " Well so much for that." He said with a grin before knowing what to do this time.

He repeated the jutsu's handsigns again but this time placed a huge amount of chakra into his jutsu, probably a lot more than what was needed. He held his hand out in front of himself again as he repeated in getting the chakra on two fingers to begin with. In no time at all two of his fingers were covered in raiton chakra once again.
