[Kai Nōhime]

Tsuchi's terrain was rough and rugged, even from the skies. There was hardly any breaks in the hilly rock formations that poked up every so often across the land. The strength of their nation was symbolic in the giant forms of the mountains and today Kai's team had to display that strength in the face of an enemy. Operations Team 2 was finally in operation on a mission as a team and Kai had high expectations of the shinobi under him. The job had to be carried out no matter what.

"You two will be working closely together on this one." he told his teammates, each of whom flew comfortably atop one of his large clay creations. He'd arrive at the mine shortly, having cut their travelling time by much with their journey through air. "I'm taking you to a back entrance. It'll take you to the underground tunnel system of the mine." he filled them in from his own clay owl. "It's crawling with bandits so be ready for a fight."

Kai would have gone underground himself but Kai's dust release would only do good in burying himself alive. Himari and Okami's physical combat skills would prove useful in the confined setting of an underground mine.
"I'll fly to the main entry of the mine and clear the bandits guarding the place from there." he'd meet them inside the mine to help round up any survivors once he dealt with the threat outside.


"Don't damage any of the mine's equipment. Everything still belongs to the village we just want these rodents out or exterminated." Kai's logistics were simple, he expected them to get the job done, which was most important. "Any questions?" he asked as the tunnel entrance began to come into view in the distance. . .

DESCRIPTION:
The user merges their chakra with the clay that the Kinjutsu mouths mould into a large-sized animal. The creation is usually two-three times bigger than a shinobi and is capable of one passenger carry. Only a maximum of one can be sculpted at a go and they contain no Jinton chakra and are therefore not active. Being animate the creations are capable of movement, flight and remote manipulation by the technique user

Illegal Mining That ain't much detail..." Himari would hold a calm expression, her hand resting upon her hip as she looked over the mine and then blinked before shaking her head at the assigned task they were given. It seemed that they were here to round up some unwanted guests and they were to do so by working together. It wasn't an uncommon thing to deal with such elements, of course, she had expected a bit more for their first run as an operations team. In the end, perhaps beggars couldn't be choosers. Glancing over toward Tadaomi, the blonde would then point her thumb back behind them, looking over at the entrance into the mine as she raised her brow with a calm expression. "We ain't expectin em to have back up comin?" It seemed like a small thing to worry about, but the last thing they would need was to be overwhelmed by arriving elements and then for them to be trapped between two rocks and a hard place right in the middle. Still, it seemed like Kai had experience with these things and wouldn't just let them wander into a trap without some assurance that things would work out. [Okami Tadaomi]

It had been some time since Tadaomi had returned from his brief stay in Mizu no Kuni, but even when he had first returned it was quite easy for him to fall back into the swing of things. Missions were just a part of shinobi life, so it came as no surprise when his operations team was assigned to another.

What was more surprising was getting to their destination by air, something that Tadaomi handled much better than travelling by sea funnily enough. Daisuke, his feline companion, was not pleased with this method of transport, but as a well trained familiar he behaved himself. The chuunin paid ample attention to Kai as he laid out the plan, shaking his head when he was done. The plan to get rid of these bandits was more than simple enough. His teammate didn't seem to agree, commenting on the situation once they dismounted from the clay creations. Daisuke followed closely behind as they immediately began the operation, though Himari did seem to have a question before they dived right into it.

"They might get reinforcements, but it's more than likely not something to be too concerned about. The tight tunnels of the mines will work greatly to our advantage."

Tadaomi hefted his naginata after speaking, checking it over one more time before gesturing into the depths.

"Shall we get started then?"

The mine's back entrance was a hole in the base of a mountain and it came into view the closer they got. The clay birds would touch down and Kai would undo theirs while still keeping his intact. His job was over the mountain where the main entrance of the mine awaited him. For now he'd fill his teammates in on the final briefing before they separated. "By the time they send resistance we must have secured the mine." he answered Himari. If they did send retaliation they'd have to hold it back until the village sent their own.
He had the logistics worked to his best ability. "Follow this tunnel until you get to a lift that'll take you underground to the mining operation. It's a long and dark walk before you get to the lift so tread carefully."

He paused a little, waiting to hear if they had any questions before he'd go on. "Deal with anyone who puts up a fight then secure and bring those who survive up to the main entry. We'll set up camp and defend the place once we've neutralized the threat." with powerful flaps of it's wings, Kai's bird took off, heading for the mountain ahead of it.

The air coming from the cave was cold and dark. It wasn't inviting in any way and there was no telling what kind of dangers awaited them inside. . .

Illegal Mining No time like the present right? Lets get along then.." Himari would crack her knuckles as she nodded in agreement to her companion, making her way forward as Kai began to lead them into the mining cave. In truth, it would be the first time she had seen the mines up close. Of course, that didn't make the mission any different from any other. They had a job to do, deal with any possible opposition. Of course, just what kind of numbers remained a mystery. The deeper they went, the colder it seemed to get, prompting the blonde to pull her jacket from around her waist, placing it over her shoulders as she pulled her arms through the sleeves. "Ain't much for heat are they? Feels colder than a lake in the deep chill..." Looking from one side to the next, her eyes would narrow as she listened in for sounds and any possible threats. After all, in the darkness, there was no telling what could spring out and try and grab at ya. Of course, with this many of them being skilled as they were, it was little matter of the odds. [Okami Tadaomi]

Tadaomi nodded as Kai gave them the last of the intel before departing on his clay bird. The Nekomata didn't like the idea of there being a lift that went further into the earth, but it was too late to turn back now.

The naginata wielding shinobi took the lead as they fully entered the mine, keep his weapon level with his waist and with the pointy end forward. He kept his footsteps quiet with Daisuke doing the same, though Himari suddenly felt the need to comment on the temperature. He didn't turn his attention away from the path ahead, but instead stopped in place.

"Sources of heat in a mine can be dangerous..."

There was a bit of bite in his tone, but he kept his voice low. At the same time, Daisuke chirped quietly, this time drawing Tadaomi's attention.

"Daisuke has picked up 2 scents ahead... guarding the lift I presume..."

Once again his voice was low as to not give their position away. He wasn't actually sure if the scents his cat companion had smelled were guards, but it wouldn't be to far of a stretch to assume so. And with the enclosed space of the mine, Tadaomi waited to see how his bare-handed ally wanted to handle their first real obstacle.

In the cave, the two ninja would be swallowed by darkness before the first signs of life came from ahead of them. They would have walked a couple of meters before flickers of fire light illuminated the narrow space.
Fire torches were mounted on the walls in intervals and as the path curved a little, it began to widen with every torch they passed.
Tadaomi's feline companion was first in noticing the presence of others ahead of them, and they too would have come into hearing range of the commotion ahead the closer they got.

A mere left turn away, the heavy doors of the lift were being opened by two armed bandits who were tasked with guarding it. From the lift came out three more men who pushed out a cart filled with what looked like rocks.
There were sounds of heavy lifting from the men as they loaded the cart on railway tracks in front of lift doors.

"I'm taking the extract to processing with these two. I'll be back to relieve one of you." said one of the men from the lift. He was another bandit, accompanying the two slave labourers that had chipped and loaded the rock from the extraction operation below. They were to transport the rocks to the processing plant where any valuable minerals would be taken out of it. "Let's go, we don't got all day!" the bandit escort boomed at the two slavers and immediately they pushed the cart with enough momentum to carry all three of them away.

The two bandits remained on guard and at attention, so much so that one of them thought he heard something coming from the direction of the two Stone ninja. "You heard that?" the shortest of the two asked, looking at the corner where Tadaomi and Himari were hidden behind.
"Let's check it out. You cover me." the biggest said, brandishing his broadaxe with large, stiff muscles as he walked towards the corner.

The smallest loaded his bow with an arrow and trailed behind his large friend. He'd shoot at anything that moved in the dim lightning, man or beast. . .

Meanwhile Kai was kissing the sky as he ascended high above the ground. He was flying towards the main building of the mine that was tucked between more mountains. It was there where the bandits transported all mined produce out and Kai was planning on putting a stop to those movements.
The mine still belonged to Iwagakure and while they received explicit instruction not to damage building or equipment, laying waste to the enemy without carnage would be hard to do. After all, the village knew what they were doing when they sent his team. . .

To keep the damage to a minimum he would try not rely on the destructive power of his Jinton too much. He created a shadow clone which sat arms-folded behind him for the time being. Putting one of the mouths on his palms to work, he reached into his clay satchel and immediately it began to chew and mould. The process of infusing jinton into the clay would take some time so he circled the mine, above the clouds, taking a moment to plan his assault.

He was confident the two ninja under him would be fine navigating the underground of the mine. They had more to do than him but given that there were two of them the job would be easier. Once they got all the bandits out from the underground mine, they were to bring them up to the main building from the tunnels. Hopefully, he'd be done clearing the bandits in the main building before they were done. . .

Kai had left some details out when briefing his team but that was purposely done. He wasn't going to spoon feed anyone, he wanted to see how well those two could work together and adapt to difficult situations.
They'd have to put their heads together in navigating the confusing tunnel system below and not only that but they had civilians to worry about given how the bandits were using forced labour to carry out mining operations. Theirs would certainly be a test and Kai was eager to see how they would fair.

DESCRIPTION:
The Kage Bunshin technique evenly distributes your chakra between one or more clones with form and substance.

The clones created by this technique are able to utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, has all of their special abilities, as well as their kekkei genkai. Typically a clone's equipment doesn't retain any special abilities and the clone itself is dispersed when hit with a single attack or incapacitated, although the clone can also choose to disperse itself or be dispersed by the user.

When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained along with it's remaining chakra are passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

Name: Dust Release Suicide Bombing Clone: Jinton Jibaku Bunshin

DESCRIPTION:
The user creates a shadow clone which then ingests some Jinton-infused clay. The clone now becomes the containment for the Jinton sphere, turning it into a live explosive. Once set off the clone has a 30m blast radius. Anything at the epicenter (the clone) is disintegrated while the further away you are the less intense the strength of the vaporizing energy is.

The clone moves faster than typical clay given that the chakra comprising it is Jinton and can be detonated remotely at will. The clone being the containment for Jinton chakra is unstable and can be destroyed by being struck, still one should be careful for the Jinton blast that follows after the clone’s destruction.

Illegal Mining Not what I wanna hear suga.. Himari would blink at the comment of danger being associated to heat, though she continued to move close behind him, looking on as Tadaomi made mention of two individuals seeming to be up ahead. It seemed that they were escorting a load of materials, and having a time doing it too. While she wasn't a fan of slavery, the young woman did her best to keep her emotions in check. After all, they had to deal with the opposition that was guarding the door. A sight that seemed to be coming in their direction from the sound of echoing footsteps moving in their direction. Her expression narrowed as she began to speak in a low whisper. "If ya can take the one backin the first, I can handle the front man..." As the steps drew closer, Himari would launch herself out of cover, her hand swiftly moving to take hold of the bandit's wrist as she drew him back with his arm behind him. "Howdy...ya'll mind givin a girl a hand..." Tightening her grip, her other arm would move upward to the surface of their neck, prompting their movement as she rushed forward as to draw the attention of their support. If need be, she was ready to use him as a defense against any attack, allowing for her partner to move in. Otherwise, she'd continue to push the man in the archer's direction, her charge rapid as she held a smirk on her face. During the process the user applies a choke hold to the victim while keeping them restrained. If applied for long enough and using enough strength the victim could potentially pass out if they have no way to escape. Yet, in spite of this, she would always come up with a way to win in the end, despite being at the disadvantage. This has much to do with her reflexes, capable of moving around her targets attempts and finding the openings she needs to take them down. More often than not, this serves as her means of protection in it being difficult to hit a someone that you can't accurately engage against. Though it operates on her instincts, it can be unreliable in some situations. Especially if Himari has not been able to figure out the exact anatomy of her opponent. Heart of a Champion During her run within the OWA, Himari would train constantly to build up her strength and stamina. She would need both in order to complete the various techniques that were involved in her style of wrestling. As such, strength training was key in her mind as she came up with an arrangement in order to continue to build upon those foundations taught to her. While she is indeed smaller than most of the people she encounters, her size does no more than give her the appearance of being less powerful than she is. Her ability to sustain stronger grapples upon her opponents is increase through this advantage, as well as the impact of her physical attacks. Legacy of a Champion Okada Riku was known throughout the world for her speed and agility when she was in the ring. Such is reflected upon her continue run until her retirement. This trait has been passed down by to her daughter as Himari has displayed incredible speed. This has only increased over the years, alongside her training with both her mother and other shinobi. She can move swiftly across the field with little issue, using her agile footwork to get in close on a target before they can even realize it. Excelling at this, she focuses on being evasive with this ability as well, allowing for her to be just as proactive in getting in, as well not getting hit in the process.

Shortly after Daisuke alerted the Iwa chuunin of the two guards, Daisuke alerted Tadaomi again, this time to signal that the same scents were drawing closer. Even without the cat's help, the bandits' hushed words were still fairly audible, and Tadaomi took note of the hardening expression on Himari's face. He was a diligent soldier himself though, keeping his own emotions in check and nodding when the Okada suggested a simple course of action.

Tadaomi kept his long weapon at the ready as the steps drew closer, jumping around the cover at the same time as Himari to engage the rearmost opponent while she handled the closer of the two. It was just as well as he seemed to be an archer of sorts, and the moment that archer let loose some arrows the Nekomata male would intercept the projectiles with his naginata, swatting them out of the air before they could pierce him or his allies. He pushed forward all the while, taking advantage of Himari's man-handling of the front man to give them extra cover. Once he was in range, it wouldn't be very difficult for Tadaomi to finish the job, slashing out with his bladed polearm and cutting the archer across his neck while Daisuke bounded close behind.

"Shall we question the bigger one before we dispose of him?"

Tadaomi had intentionally spared the man that Himari was holding from his blade just in case they needed more information, but he also didn't have any qualms against simply ending his life and pressing forward with the mission: they were criminals and they had earned their keep.

DESCRIPTION:
Despite the name of this technique, it can be used with most weapons, although it’s difficulty mastering it means it requires a skilled user of such a weapon. Thus a swordsman would not automatically be able to perform this technique with a club. A relatively straightforward technique, it is nevertheless very effective against incoming shuriken. The user guards against an incoming shuriken with his or her weapon. However, rather than simply deflecting it, the user hits the shuriken from such an angle that it is sent back towards the enemy. Skilled users of this technique can even reflect kunai towards moving opponents by calculating their movement pattern (Chuunin+), or even reflect a shuriken while adding a curve to it (Special Jounin+). One use of this technique can send back up to three shuriken for a Genin, five for a Chuunin, eight for a Special Jounin and ten for Jounin and higher.
