A loser like you ain't got no guts!

Sage mode training had been progressing as normal with Taki and Konsho occasionally training together and other times alone. For Today Taki would gather her small chimp companion and would give him a high 5 as the two would head into the field focusing on something a bit different today. Teaching the young summon how to speak.

With that the girl would sit him down on the grass and she’d stare at him. "Awright I gotta know something awl da other apes can tawk how bout you?” she’d say looking down at the small chimp. He’d look over at her with a puzzled look tilting his head to the side. "Say...Aki…” she’d say gesturing as if he understood her.

"Aki…” she’d repeat one more time. "It’s your name don'tcha know it?” she’d say emphasizing the A. The chimp would scratch his ears Still not having a clue what the girl was going on about, Taki would keep on trying for several minutes but the small animal just wouldn’t get it and she’d sigh, with frustration. "Ah forget it." she'd remark extending out her arm which the small ape eventually would run up her taking his place atop her head, causing the girl to smile. "Awright, you know what to do.”

With that the girl would shut her eyes and begin meditation with her companion. Her understanding of her transformation was coming along well but was still one of the other things the two of them needed to practice. She'd been slowly calming herself down as time went on but would still stow that rage in the back of her head wondering if it’d be possible to weaponize it using her anger as means of focusing her sage energy allowing her to turn into an even greater monster then she already figured she was, the process slowly coming to form as the energy was gathered. However little did she know that she was being watched.

Peace Between All
すべての間の平和

Ever since Midori found out about Taki’s transformation, the woman had been keeping a rather close eye on the girl - she refused to take someone’s child away and allow the kid to die under her supervision. This was sage mode that they were talking about, this wasn’t anything to be taken lightly or attempted to be done alone. It required a network, and that network for Taki was first and foremost Midori, and then it was the Great Ape Sage. These two were the ONLY ONES responsible for getting the girl through her sage training - any other company was bad company to be learning from. Light brown eyes watched the girl as she tried to communicate with her little gorilla, however things weren’t going so well. Midori wanted to smile, but the concern that tore at the woman’s heart was far too great for any joy to be brought upon her.

Without making as much as a peep, Midori would step further into the field, only making her presence known when she opened her mouth to speak. "Aki…” She would say, gathering the attention of both the girl and the chimp. The Sage’s soft gaze would shift from the summon down towards the girl who had been preparing to work on her sage mode alone … again. Midori sighed softly but eventually gave the girl a nod. Without as much as saying a word, Midori made it very clear that the reason she was here was beyond important and if Taki were ever going to ignore what the woman had to say - now was definitely not the time to do so. With that said, she wanted time with the girl alone - and surely this would be known by Aki as Midori had been around since she was 16. The sage had pull and respect from all of the summons, regardless of age and experience - so when she asked for something, they would all abide.

Clearing her throat, Midori would speak up to the girl seated in front of her. Gesturing for her to get up. Normally, Midori had this sense of relaxation and informality amongst all of her students - she liked to appear as the chill type. However, this wasn’t the case for now as the woman had been dressed from head to toe in all of her sage gear. The headband that showed allegiance to the Great Ape Sage, the black and burgundy cloak, and even her staff had been held by the woman - she definitely looked the part as The Sage of Tsuchi no Kuni. "Come.” The woman spoke as she began walking through the field, turning her back to the girl, expecting her to follow. If Taki paid enough attention, beneath the cloak on the woman’s sleeves were six horizontal stripes that were burgundy in color, and there were three on the cuffs of each sleeve, each stripe denoting a rank from genin to sage, she had earned the title of them all.

As the girl sat on the ground attempting to mediate she’d hear something Midori’s voice call out to her but something about the tone seemed different she appeared in front of the girl and the youth would open her eyes looking to her instructor from the ground up. Aki would look up at the older women and Taki would seem kinda awe struck Midori only wears this when she means business. "So we finally gettin' some where eh? Bout time!” she’d say with an eager expression on her face.

Taki had put in a great deal of work with her sage mode training over the last course of a while and had been eager to move on to something more concrete she only really had a vague understanding of how the imperfect sage mode transformation worked always stopping her gather after she had seen slow amounts of chakra forming through her and small anatomical changes, trusting her gut more than anything. But if left unsupervised her luck would surely run out and it was a good thing she had a teacher like Midori because had she she kept at it any longer things would’ve surely wound up pretty badly for the young sage. But it looks like now all that hard work might be finally paying off.

As the girl asked her to come with her she’d take a gander at the jacket as she rubbed her hands together eyeing the uniform up and down. "Dat jacket is bitchin!” she’d think to herself. Making a lens with her hands and looking it over. "I oughta get sumthin like dis made for myself dis would make some killa ring gear.” Aki Aki would tral behind, he seemed to be mimicking Taki’s every motion unbeknownst to the girl herself.

Peace Between All
すべての間の平和

Every little thing that Taki had to say was deliberately and completely ignored by the woman as she turned on her heels and began to make her way through the field. However, after a few steps or so, Midori would come to an abrupt halt and turn back around to face Taki, except she wasn’t looking at Taki at all - instead Midori’s eyes fiercely focused on Aki. If he took another step with them then she’d take matters into her own hands. She wasn’t joking around, nor was she in the mood to be lenient…he would receive no additional warning or reminder to stay put for the time being. Hoping that he got the jist of things, Midori would turn back around and continue on track with what she was doing.

As they walked, the sound of nature was akin to music, birds chirped along with insects, rushing waters and cool breezes alike made everything so peaceful but as Midori continued on, anger and worry continued to build up in the pit of her stomach. Surely Taki would be wondering where the lady was taking her to, but she would soon find out herself.

After approximately 7 minutes of walking, the duo would come to a large gate - locked not with an actual lock but with a seal. Above said gate there was a giant banner with writings in gold that read, "The Graveyard of the Forgotten.” Midori would read the title quietly to herself before her hand gently pressed against the seal that kept everything locked away. As she poured her chakra into the seal - the design would unravel before the gates would slowly swing open. What greeted the two kunoichi was one single aisle with numerous statues of gorillas lined up perfectly on each side of them. Many of the statues had plaques with names, dates, and words of encouragement written at the base of them all. The aisle itself led towards a giant fountain where ryo had been tossed into the waters surrounding the stone construct.

Midori didn’t make it to the fountain before stopping, instead she would stop in front of a particular statue - dusting off the plaque before bowing her head respectively. The name on it read, "Katashi Haruni.” Though it was only a statue of a small gorilla - it meant a lot to Midori because it was actually someone she had grown up with - or at least was going to grow up with. Nevertheless, the woman would take a deep breath before turning to face Taki.

"Tell me. What do you see here?” She asked, gesturing to everything around her.

As they kept walking the two of them would move in silence no response from Taki’s usual boasting which the girl there was a sense of severity punctuated by the sages sudden stopping and turning, looking directly down at Aki. Aki being so small looked terrified, Taki would look down. "Hey...uhh I think you’d better get outta here.” Aki would scurry off looking back at Taki as he ran off.

She’d then turn back and face Midori and carry on alongside her in silence, stopping as the two of them got a sign that read "The graveyard of the forgotten.” Taki would feel an ominous sense build up in the pit of her stomach but she’d try and keep a tough face, as she walked forward but something in her knew exactly what this place was meant to be as she read the names off of the plaques and words marking their epitaph written underneath each statue.

"A graveyard…the uhh sign kinda gave it away?” the girl would say as she removed her hat out of respect for the deceased. "Were dhese guys...people you knew?” she’d say, grasping the gravity of the situation trying not to showcase her discomfort for the situation even though she did look visibly shaken, not afraid of death but failure.

Peace Between All

Taki’s answer was correct, and finally for once Midori felt as if the child had finally paid attention to something she had said..finally. The woman would give Taki a drawn out nod, watching as the young girl removed her heart out of respect for those who lost their lives seeking out this higher power. Whether it was for their own personal gain, to protect a loved one, or to help out with nature - they all left their homes, sought out the great ape sage, and perished before their dreams could be achieved. It was a sad thought, but they all knew and understood the dangers of which they were getting themselves into. Taki on the other hand might not have known, so Midori took it upon herself personally to give the young girl a reality check.

"I knew only a few. The rest of them, well I only know of them since I started my sage training.” These people were mostly forgotten about completely - as they ran away from a home where they more than likely had nothing that would miss them if they didn’t return. Midori sighed as she turned on her heels and started walking towards the giant fountain where numerous platforms were placed around it. It was big enough to fit most grown men, allowing them to sit. "Have a seat.” The woman would say as the water continued to rush. Once the young girl was situated, Midori would take a step closer to her, leaning her body against the platform that she sat on.

"Haruni was an exceptional shinobi for his age. Much more promising than you and I combined..yet this very art took his life. So what makes you think the same won’t happen to you?” Midori asked genuinely, but wasn’t exactly seeking an exact response. Instead the woman would quickly move on to her next question before Taki could even answer.

"What’s the rush, huh? Why are you so ready to throw your life away to get some half-assed transformation that I wouldn’t even consider calling sage mode in the slightest. This is not a game….you will die if you continue.”

It might’ve seemed like Midori was scolding her and trying to instill the fear factor, however the woman was more concerned than anything. Taki needed to have a wake up call or else one day she would lose control of that transformation and lose her life before she even realized it. The worry could be seen behind the woman’s eye, as well as the anger welling inside of her.

As the sage spoke she’d go on to describe her relationship with the girl as they continued to walk with Taki looking over and reading the many names inscribed on the makeshift gravestones for those who had failed. She’d let out a bit of a gulp but after some time would be guided towards a giant fountain that when she looked upon it the girl would examine it’s features before being told to take a seat, the girl would do so sitting on one of the platforms only to regaled with a story of how the young boy whom she had worked had died attempting to perform these techniques as the girl sat with her leg wrapped around her hands looking over at the statues she’d be asked why she wanted to risk her life for such a cause and upon hearing those words flashes of her uncle would rush back into her mind and crowd her thoughts.

The woman would then ask her what the rush was why she was in such a hurry to learn how to gather the energy so quickly this would cause the young Okadan to grimace a scowl forming. "I won’t die cause I know what I'm doing, and ain’t nothing stopping me from reaching my goal but I’m doin it my way...little by little never taking in too much and always stopping before it becomes too much...hmph...guess I got Aki to thank for dat.”

She’d then shoot the Sage a look putting venom into her words. "And as for da rush!? Two weeks ago from today my Uncle got taken away from me by that damn Konoha scum and da more time I spend wastin around the less time I've got to save him!" the girl would ball her fist.

"Just thinking about it makes my blood boil! And If I’m gonna get em back I’m gonna need all the powa I can get...and Wid sage mode I’ll have more than enough to crush those damn Konoha scum under my boots! And then after I get my uncle back I’m done with this shinobi business, but not before I make them pay!”

The girl had a deadly serious look in her eyes, she hated Konoha with every fiber of her being and wasn’t about to let anything get in her way if she wanted power she was willing to do anything to get it even if it cost her. "Dat answer your question, if I can’t figure dis out I might as well be dead my uncle was family and I'll take any risk to get him back!" the girl was filled with fury and unbecoming trait for a sage but she'd rather be honest than sugar coat things.

Peace Between All

Midori stood directly in front of Taki as the girl grabbed a seat on the platform next to the fountain. Her words and tone carried a sense of seriousness that neither Konsho nor Taki herself had heard from the woman before. She was even here without her pride and joy, Akaryu, so the woman definitely meant business. However, no matter what Midori would say, no matter how many failed cases that were on display before the young girl, Taki still found a way to disregard EVERYTHING that Midori had just told her.

Explaining to the woman how her uncle was supposedly taken by Konoha ninja and that she was hell bent on getting him back. Midori didn’t say anything, instead the sage gave Taki a look of absolute dumbfoundedness. She looked at the girl as if she had lost all of her mind and was moving on pure whim…

"Are you crazy. Or are you just really stupid?”

Konoha was a powerhouse waiting for their hands to be tested. What made this girl think she had any chance in hell retrieving her uncle from them, was she even certain that he was there or still alive?

"First, you can’t save your uncle if you’re already dead. Second, even if you got the strongest sage mode ever…going to Konoha would still be a death wish. You say you’d be as good as dead without him? Well, you would literally be dead going there.” Midori explained. "Are you even sure he’s there? Are you even sure he’s still alive? I just think your reasons for wanting sage mode..are for all the wrong reasons.” She added on sternly. Instead of getting stronger to prevent future incidents, she was looking to right previous wrongs, which was more along the lines of seeking revenge.

"What’s your plan against their sensory, the Senju, the Uchiha? Huh?…… And if you think you’re going to get it done with that..then you're beyond delusional, you’d die at the gate.”

A sigh escaped the woman’s breath as she placed her head into the palm of her hand, pinching her nose, trying to make sense out of everything Taki was telling her. It seemed as if this girl was just throwing her life away for no reason. Part of Midori wanted to break down crying, because she knew whatever she would say would have no impact on Taki’s decision and the woman would soon lose her as well. Another one of her students facing an early grave, it truly ached her heart.
