With the way she was sent out the village she would have thought Kumo was aware of her training session with Kame. It had been decided between the leaders of Kusa, and Kumo that she would be sent out to further fortify their alliance by training their own Jinchuuriki. "Narahashi, Koume?" Kiho muttered as she continued to fly high into the sky toward the village hidden in the grass. "What do you think Seven? This going person going to be another Kame or what?"

Pfft! I hope not.. If they are then you'll be having to assist them by yourself.

Kiho couldn't deny the privilege that came with learning to control her powers. Chihiro was definitely impressed with her progress with Seven and how well the village was coming around with her overall fighting prowess. She was to be the villages ultimate weapon after all. The council didn't take too kindly to her sassy nature, but even they couldn't deny that she had become quite the successor to Keisuke.

There was no better feeling than sticking your tongue out at the haters and all they could do is sit there and agree. Childish? Yeah, but they most definitely deserved it. The people in charge of her were pretty impatient, but she could understand to a degree as to why they were. When you were able to go decades without any Tailed Beast rampages, not to mention your Jinchuuriki was damn near a master she'd probably be impatient too for results.

Well, regardless of how they felt now they got it. She could hold her own against most, if not all of the most Elite Shinobi in Kumogakure now. Nevertheless, after a few hours of strategic flight she would arrive to the beautiful grasslands of Kusagakure. At the gate she would be me with the presence of a number of Shinobi. Her flight was definitely not well received, but she complied nonetheless. In her hands was the official documentation from Kumogakure's council signed by the Raikage himself.

"See, I'm one of the good guys.. Girls.. Girl, woman, you get the point."

After getting a few sides eyes from the ones not covered in mask, the people she suspected were probably this villages ANBU dispersed and the gate guards let her in. She was told that the person she was supposed to be meeting would be here soon, if not already. "Um, anyone here name Kou-me, Koume!" Kiho yelled out loud just before placing her hands upon her hips and looking around.

Ugh... You can be so embarrassing as a host sometimes Kiho.

Koume had been waiting for an hour or so at the village’s gate doing nothing in particular outside of waiting for her special guest to arrive. Having received word from Lord Yamato that a special someone from Kumogakure was going to be helping her with…her guest. Though at this point the girl considered the being to be an annoying roommate with little to no importance in her actual life, so she would do her best to avoid him at all costs. Nevertheless, Koume didn’t exactly see the point of it all, she liked to think everything was going well, however after the disaster that transpired months ago, she was beginning to doubt herself if only just a bit. Green eyes took towards the sky, watching as the clouds continued to float ever so diligently throughout the light blue sky. The girl took a breath before smiling to herself. For all that it was worth, she was excited to be meeting with a new friend after all.

The peacefulness and tranquility that Koume longed for eventually came to a screeching halt as members of ANBU quickly dashed to the entrance of the gate, even more so emerging from the grass fields to protect the outside of the gate to intercept any threats. Koume watched closely, intrigued at how ready they were to defend the village, but she quickly began to grow nosey and as she stood from her seat, she’d make her way towards the gate as well, albeit behind the numerous ANBU Operatives. Once the person was given the thumbs up however, Koume would take it upon herself to give them the proper Kusagakure welcome!

"HEY!!! THAT’S ME!” She yelled out from behind the ANBU Operatives, jumping up and down as she watched the girl enter through the threshold. "Shoo! Get out of here, this is my guest.” The teen bumped shoulders with the Operatives trying to get through the squad and to her guest, but everyone quickly began to file back into their routines and duties, leaving the two to themselves.

"Welcome to Kusagakure! I’m Koume, what’s your name?” She spoke passionately with a big smile curled across her lips. Her smile quickly faded however as a voice seemingly spoke to her from within.

"Hmm. Interesting.” The beast within her was well aware of the beast sealed within the other lady herself. "Shh.” Koume on the other hand had no clue what the beast was going on about and strongly urged him to shut up and leave her alone while she was out with her guest.

"Tch. To be shushed by a brat like you. You won’t be able to ignore me forever.” The beast would grumble before returning to himself.

"Anyways…” The girl would say as she finally snapped back into reality, as if she had been talking to the kumo kunoichi the entire time. The girl would think for a moment trying to regain her train of thought. Oh that’s right. "What are we going to do first? Ooh ooh, let’s go for drinks.” Reaching her hand out, Koume would try to grab ahold of her friend’s hand and attempt to lead her towards her favorite cafe, completely forgetting that this woman was here for official business matters - having been given the thumbs up by the Raikage and Lord Yamato themselves.

In the midst of all the commotion that took place a voice could be heard trying to get to her. By the time she actually got around to calling out the persons name she would be met with the presence of a unique looking young woman. It was strange how different they all seem to look from everyone else despite their difference being so subtle. For her it was those Orange hues that really made her stand out, but to the average person it was probably just link to a special phenomenon.

For this girl it was her pink her, but even more so her emerald green eyes. They were beautiful, and even as she approached her it was hard not to get lost in them. She'd never seen anything like it before. Yeah, this is 'definitely' who we've been looking for Seven. You getting any unique vibes yet? Kiho asked the Tailed Beast before addressing the Jinchuuriki. "Koume, that's a pretty name. My name is Kiho, it's good to finally meet ya."

Yeah... Just being in their presence is making my skin itch..

That's a random thing to say, but I'm guessing this has something to do with whatever special powers they have too?

Eh, I guess you could say that..

Judging from their response she could tell that this was probably another Tailed Beast it once shared a neutral relationship with. Oddly enough, after meeting Arashi it was easy to gauge how they felt about the other beast based on their reaction to feeling Shukaku's presence, and of course their silent reaction to hearing about the nine tails. This of course became more apparent once she met Kame, and now the same with Koume.

Nevertheless, she was glad to not have experienced the hardships that Arashi once dealt with. Chomei was as friendly as they came, well at least once they decided you were worthy of being their host. Kiho couldn't quite gauge what Koume's relationship might be with theirs just yet, but they looked way more upbeat than Kame did. As per usual, it was always interesting catching a Jinchuuriki in the midst of conversing with their Tailed Beast.

The 'anyways' was a clear indication of that which made her laugh. "Well I think we sh--" Kiho tried answering before Koume suggested that they should get drinks together. "D-drinks? Huh?" Given the formality of their meeting together she expected that this encounter would be a lot closer to the one she shared with Arashi, but instead this seemed to turning into something else entirely that she was not ready for.

Oooooh, talk about Karma.. This is going to be fun to watch.

Kiho's eyes widen as her hand was taken and pulled into whatever direction Koume wished to drag her. What do you mean Karma?! What Should I do?! I'm supposed to be here on official business! We're not even at the legal age to drink! Ironically these were some of the things Kiho did during the earlier parts of her time as a Jinchuuriki, but she had connections with ANBU that ultimately made doing those things possible. The information given to her labeled Koume as a Genin, how in the hell were they going to get "drinks?"

"H-hey Koume. Sweet heart? You sure we should be drinking at a time like this?"

"Hmm?” Koume hummed as her friend sounded a bit worried at the plans that she had arranged. It was enough to make the pink haired teen stop in her tracks and think about what she had said. She wasn’t the alcohol type so when she mentioned drinks - the girl mostly meant this cafe that sold all kinds of smoothies and things as such, some that could only be found in Kusagakure.

"Do you not want to go?” If Kiho didn’t want to go then that was fine with her, but she did want to hear her thoughts on the food and beverages that the place serves. Perhaps they could save that for a later date. "Wellll….” Koume was now back to thinking of plans. "How about we go shopping?” The girl asked in her typical overly excited tone.

Can’t you see that the only reason she’s here is because I’m sealed inside of you? Forget your silly activities and listen to what she has to say! The six tails had grown tired of the girl ignoring him and was aggravated that she wasn’t allowing the guest to do her job. Even with this outburst, Koume refused to speak to him in return. However, the words were loud and clear enough for the girl to understand completely. As she took in a deep breath she’d give Kiho a weak smile..

"You know what, maybe I’m getting a bit ahead of myself. Heh, sorry. I’ll let you decide.” With that being said, Koume would let go of her guest’s hand and step off towards the side to let the woman decide how they would proceed with their day. She wasn’t sure how long Kiho would be staying, but maybe they could enjoy one another’s company more after they’ve taken care of all that needed to be taken care of. Whatever that was.

Kiho was surprised to see the girl had stopped so suddenly, perhaps she was actually taking what she said into consideration. When asked if she did not want to go Kiho struggled with finding the right answer without sounding like she was some pretentious try hard, or someone just trying to exert their experience over them. Fortunately, she wouldn't really get the chance to say much of anything at all, but her next suggestion wasn't any better as that was still not what she was here for.

In fact, Kiho was quite disappointed that she would have to turn down the girls request at going shopping as her first experience with Arashi was nothing short of amazing. "W-well, um.." Kiho mumbled quietly, awkwardly looking at the young woman while trying to figure out how to assert the reason she was here professionally, but again she would sort of lose out on that window as well. This time though it was different as Koume seemed to be more open with Kiho just making the choice instead.

The Jounin specialist frowned for a moment as her hand released from her own so she could set things in motion. "Well." A pause was taken to make sure no one of relevance was around to hear what she had to say. "I'm a Jinchuuriki, an experienced one now to be exact, and my reason for being here first and foremost is to help improve your relationship with your Tailed Beast, which in turn would make you a better Jinchuuriki."

"I'm not too familiar with the details of your time as one, or how much you've learned, but I was shown the way by someone, I have also shown the ways to another, and now I am here to officially provide the same service to you.. I would LOVE to hang with you, I get the feeling you are a lot of fun, but your village really needs you to get on board so you can help them when the time comes."

Hmm, I'm a little impressed with your recovery. At least now you see what I went through with you.

Kiho's voice remained calm and consistent throughout her speech as she wanted to let Koume know she was here to help, but she also wanted her to know that she wasn't against spending any time with her either. Just that they needed to get down to business first. "If there is anything you would like to add the floor is yours, but I would suggest afterward that we head to the place you're allowed to train in peace." Which meant a secluded location provided to her by the Kusa Lord.

Koume listened very closely to what the older girl had to say. It was clear that she wasn’t on board with her plans, but this wasn’t the reason the girl herself stopped with her suggestions. There was a feeling deep within her stomach that was telling her this was beyond important, that feeling being the giant slug sealed within her stomach. She finally listened…

Emerald eyes remained focused on Kiho as she explained that she was also a Jinchuriki - a very experienced one at that despite the fact that she looked to be around the same age as Koume herself. Hmm. The girl hummed as she gave her guest a glance over and stepped a bit closer. "So…” Her eyes would meet with Kiho’s. "There are others?” Her voice had softened to a whisper as she tried to process everything all at once. Koume wasn’t too experienced as a shinobi, let alone being a Jinchuriki, so the knowledge of there being even more beasts confused her a bit, but in the same light it made her extremely happy. So happy that she wanted to jump up and down and hug the woman before her out of happiness but ultimately refrained from doing so.

The beast inside her made the girl’s life a living hell, so it was nice to see someone who experienced the same. Even if their experiences weren’t the same, it was good to have someone who knew what she might’ve been going through. It was even more so important that Kiho was here to help the girl get along with her beast apparently, but Koume was fearful of the slug and often ignored him because of this. So how in the hell could she possibly improve a relationship with someone or something she wasn’t exactly fond of? Koume had a lot running through her mind - most of it was simply doubt, but it was best if she let Kiho handle everything since she was the more experienced of the two.

"Right.” With a nod the girl would let her guest know that she understood. Her village needed her. Ugh. That was a lot of responsibility to lay on a 16 year old genin…but there was no other way to put it. "I guess we can go out to the grass field…I don’t think anyone will bother us out there. It’s where I go to escape from everything.” Or try to. Unfortunately for her there was no escaping the beast within her. Nevertheless, Koume would start heading to the field.

In the confines of the seal placed upon the teen’s belly, the six tails would begin paying closer attention to the entire situation at hand. Less so because Koume was actually being cooperative and more so because his sibling was just a ways away, sealed within another woman. Tch. This child… There was something about Kiho that the Rokubi just couldn’t put his finger on, but she seemed to be completely compatible with her bijuu which was enough to cause a bit of jealousy to grow in his soul as the same couldn’t be said for Koume and himself.

Upon their arrival, Koume would simply grab a seat in the grass. "Welp. Here we are.” She’d turn and give her guest a smile. There were questions that she wanted to ask, but she was unsure of how to ask them, so she would let Kiho lead the way.

Kiho could tell that Koume needed a moment to truly take in all of what she said. Honestly this was the most she had said to another Jinchuuriki up front before doing anything. With Kame she was way more subtle with the things she told him until she felt he was ready, or that he'd shown enough promise to be told otherwise. Of course there was also the layer of not knowing whether or not they were allies too that played a role in that.

Overall, it was hard not to help given they were only Nine of a kind. The likelihood she would have came across another felt little to impossible. She assumed that most of the Jinchuuriki were tied to only the major villages, but it seemed as though there might be a chance that some of the minor village had obtained Tailed Beast as well. After some time Koume finally seemed to be ready to take on the task that was given to her by her leader.

The two would be training in some open grassland area. Kiho wasn't too fond of that, but if Koume felt like no one else outside of the usual would be out there then she'd happily accept. It wasn't uncommon for Jinchuuriki's like themselves to find spots to hide out to get some alone time given how much of their lives were under the control of the villages hierarchy. "Well, if it's an escape area then that should most certainly suffice."

Afterward Kiho followed Koume to the location spoken to her earlier. If there was anything she could take from their temporary travel it was that she would get the opportunity to see more of the landscape that covered Kusagakure. It was still strange to see so much grass compacted to one area like this. All she'd known was sunlight, hill, and of course mountain tops. There wasn't much grass, if any at all where she was from.

It would be long before Koume noted their arrival to said location. It was beautiful, but it was definitely just as boring as she thought it might be. "Whew.. I don't know how you people get used to all this." Kiho stated awkwardly while looking around before facing the smiling Genin. "Alright.. I guess we should jump right into this. Let seeeeeee, where should we begin." Kiho gently placed her left hand against her chin as she begin reviewing her mental "Arashi's guide to be a good Jinchuuriki" lesson manual.

"I got it! So! First thing first, have you had any sort of communication with your Tailed beast?"

Judging by the looks of her guests' faces, Koume could tell that Kiho wasn’t all too impressed by the simplicity of the vast grass fields that made up Kusagakure’s foundation. Koume herself had to admit that it could be quite underwhelming in terms of things to do and places to visit - though there were plenty of forests for them to travel too though most of them were pretty far away from the village itself. Nevertheless, the grass fields is what the girl had chosen so this is where they would kick things off. Giving her guest a smile, the little pinkette would lock in and prepare herself for whatever the girl had in mind to teach her.

"Right…” Let’s jump right into it! Whatever that might’ve been. As the girl settled herself in the grass, she’d stretch out and relax as much as possible before the older kunoichi asked a rather concerning question. Had she ever actually communicated with the beast sealed within her? Placing a hand gently beneath her chin - Koume would look to the clouds in an attempt to recollect her memories. "Hmmm…” The girl hummed clearly knowing the answer to the question.

"Uh, not really. Heh. Why?” A nervous chuckle escaped her breath. She didn’t know that it was important to actually speak to the beast but she had her reasoning for everything.

"He’s kind of scary, you know.” Koume added on, to get Kiho to side with her on this matter. Holding the seal placed on her stomach, a deep sigh could be heard echoing in the girl’s mind - nevertheless the girl still had more to add on. "Plus he’s the reason I’m not on a genin team anymore…I just..think there’s not much I have to say to him.” It was the truth. He was some legendary beast, at least that’s what the Rokubi himself often said, and Koume herself was just some random teen girl.

Kiho's face remained neutral as Koume attempted to answer her question to the best of what she felt like speaking on. She had little to go on, but if there was a vibe she was getting from the girl it was definitely more along the lines of what her mentor went through versus herself, or Kame even. She spoke of them as a scary figure, someone they probably did not want to deal with, or someone they didn't feel comfortable with. Either was a bad start.

The latter of what she said gave even more cause for concern as she noted that her Tailed Beast was the very reason she was no longer on a Genin team. The answer could mean a number of things, but given the potential severity of what she was getting herself into she would automatically assume the worst. Which in this case meant she probably killed some people, or more specifically this team she was no longer apart of. With this in mind she'd note to herself that her approach was definitely going to need to take smaller steps.

"Well. I guess it was only a matter of time before I finally came across another 'menacing' Tailed Beast."

Kiho expressed while using her index and middle finger in both hands as quotation marks. "No offense to you that is... I'm sure this hasn't been any easier for you than it has been for my own Tailed Beast and others like you." While Kiho wasn't a fan of either of them harming people she most definitely understood the frustrations that came with being as powerful and sentient as they were, just to be used as tool and a pet for the village whenever they needed to create even more destruction.

"Yours seems rather rebellious. A lot like what I've heard from my mentor, but I think a lot of that can be cleared up by doing just one simple thing." Kiho added while holding her finger up. "And that's by talking to them like you would a normal person, and giving them the respect they deserve.. Inside of you is a being capable of destroying all of the villages. If it weren't for seals created by our founding members they wouldn't even be here."

"I can't take away all the pain they might have caused to you, but maybe, juuuuust maybe, it would be nice for someone to try thinking of them as well y'know? They've been having to deal with people like us for far longer than they have wanted to, and if you were locked up for as many years as they have I'm sure you wouldn't be happy either.. So, for starters, do you even know its name?"

When these things had been explained to Kiho, Koume was expecting at least some sort of reaction. She was sure that the woman would sympathize with her, but ultimately the cloud kunoichi seemed rather unfazed at the mention of why the girl hadn’t communicated with her tailed beast at all. The first words that escaped Kiho’s breath however caused the young pinkette to gently clench onto her stomach where her seal had been placed. She could feel the bijuu within her getting worked up over being described as such, and Koume herself didn’t agree with the word choice. chuckling softly, emerald eyes looked to their counterparts as she spoke. "I wouldn’t go as far as calling him menacing..” She felt as if menacing just wasn’t the word to use - mostly because when it came to the beast - as the jinchuriki the two of them were often seen as one.

So the reason you never speak to me is because you’re afraid of me? The Rokubi stated as he sighed beneath his breath, turning over in his cage as he rested across the floor of the girl’s mindscape. If you just listen to what I say, then perhaps we can find some mutualism. The giant slug explained to the young teen. The girl sighed however as her emerald eyes continued to look towards Kiho for answers. As the woman continued to dwell on the topic of Koume having a tougher time than she herself did, the topic of actually talking to the bijuu was brought up again.

"Ok so..what if I want to talk to him?” The girl started as she looked towards the clouds yet again. "What would I even say to him? Where would I even start?” Koume asked softly as her gaze averted back towards the lady before her. The majority of their relationship since day 1 was mostly just Koume being too afraid to interact with the beast, and unfortunately they never got the chance to sit down and actually talk, mostly because of her own feelings towards the Rokubi.

The latter portion of Kiho’s words were what really stuck to Koume however. She never looked at it from that perspective. Maybe she would give the Rokubi a chance before completely shutting him out - besides he has been around much longer than Koume herself … so perhaps she could actually learn a thing or two if she actually listened.

A smile slowly stretched across Kiho's lips after Koume seemed pretty shy on what approach to take when talking to them. It was kind of funny how similar the two of them were. She was so energetic and bubbly when she met her at the gate, but now it was almost as if she was a different person. Anyone outside looking in would assume that Koume would be the perfect candidate from a communicative stand point, but Tailed Beast had this way of bringing things out of you that weren't properly addressed.

"The same way you would anyone else.. In fact, no different than how you talked to me upon spotting me at the gate. Introduce yourself, and if they know your name it doesn't matter cuz today we're starting over. Then maybe you could even ask them about their day." Kiho added while placing both hands on her hips while nodding over to the girl. Most of what would be said would be silent on her end, but that didn't mean she couldn't pick up how well things were going through body language.

Humph, you never ask me about my day anymore.

Kiho let out while placing a hand beneath her chest where her seal was located. Obviously Chomei didn't take too kindly to that, but that was kind of what the two of them did for most of the day. Chomei was much more playful than it tried letting on, but Kiho enjoyed bringing that side of them out. She hoped that once her time with Koume was done that she'd be able to do more or less the same.

Koume listened to her new friend's words closely as she explained just how she should start talking to the beast within her, and the answer was fairly simple - just talk to the slug as she would talk to anyone else. She was very outgoing after all but there was just something eerie about the bijuu that she wished not to talk to him. The girl sighed gently as emerald eyes continued to look towards Kiho.

"Right.”

The pinkette would state to let the older woman know that she at least understood what she was saying - despite how simple the answer seemed she felt as if there had to be more to it. A soft groan began to escape the girl’s voice as she tried to focus on the slug sealed within.

Hey. Koume started, trying to get the beast’s attention. She still wasn’t exactly sure what to say, and as the eyes of the slug focused onto the genin a sense of eeriness fell upon her shoulders. A lump grew in her throat as she scrambled for words. I know we might’ve started off on the wrong foot so..how about we start fresh, hm?

Tch. The slug scoffed slightly. It was hard to start fresh with someone who only decided to change because someone else told them to do so. Therefore the Rokubi’s answer wasn’t immediate, in fact the beast would ignore Koume for a minute or two - leaving the girl in silence as he thought over everything.

I’m sorry for being bratty. And for ignoring you, and being rude. Seriously! The silence remained, however Koume did feel A LOT better than she did before. It felt awkward trying to force a conversation with someone she didn't get along with all too well, but apologizing felt natural, it felt right.

…Ugh stop. I forgive you.

That was what Koume had been wanting to hear. A smile curled across her lips as she felt a weight be relieved from her shoulders. "Hehe.” She giggled as emerald eyes focused on her friend. "It’s going alright.” The girl nodded. Baby steps were still steps, it was better than moving backwards that was for sure.

Starting from this point forward, we’re going to talk to each other regularly! Every single day! Groans erupted from within as the slug was beginning to have second thoughts on befriending the pinkette. Maybe having the girl ignore him was a blessing in disguise as he was well aware of how Koume was. The Rokubi sighed gently as he rested his head. It was too late to turn back now so…

Fine. Just don’t talk me to death. It was a fair request. Sure thing. I’ll try not to. Koume replied.

"So uh is that it?” The girl questioned. "Is that all it takes to gain control?” It felt all too easy, but she couldn’t help but to feel as if there were more to the process.

Kiho knew that this process was definitely going to be the part where she did nothing. Everything that was about to happen with herself and her tailed beast would be on her. If anything, this would be a good time for Kiho to reflect on how she wanted the two of them to build their relationship. Koume appeared to be just a regular as her, and for Kiho that meant she couldn't take the fast track approach that she utilized with Kame.

He was pretty dull, but that made him a perfect Jinchuuriki as he wasn't always in his head. Not to mention his emotions lacked the fluctuation that herself and Koume experienced as people. For the Kusa Shinobi, her only job today would to literally focus on getting to know her Tailed beast and properly understand their relationship. As timed passed it was good to hear things were going well. The once awkward silence was finally starting to build with some positivity.

Despite all the hidden fear Kiho carried it was beginning to seem like maybe her Tailed Beast wasn't going to be as much like Shukaku as she thought. Just thinking about them always made her skin crawl, and of course there was always that Nine Tails Arashi briefly talked about. She didn't say much, but the feeling she in her gut and Chomei's silence was more than enough for her.

Hmm, how do you think all of this will end?

Hmm, It depends.. But we also have to take into consideration how many years it has been since I've been this close to many of them. Personality wise they could always be very different than what I remember.

After some time passed, Kiho would open her eyes to the voice of Koume who appeared to be done with her conversation with her Tailed Beast. The vibe she got from her was that things went alright, but the words that transpired afterward made her cringe. Of course there was no judgement as she was once upon a time the same way with Chomei. Thankfully Chihiro changed that.

"Nah, not at all.. In fact 'Control' is a word we want to stay away from. Of course it's not your fault your village placed that verbiage into your mind just as my village did to me, but Control is definitely not the word we want to use." The Jounin Specialist took in a deep breath as she prepared for what she was going to say to the Genin so that she would understand what she meant.

"You are a vessel, a host to One of Nine of the most powerful sentient beings on the planet.. Their power isn't meant to be 'controlled' by us, and I think that's why I've heard of so little Jinchuuriki with control since becoming one myself. Their power isn't for the taking, but to be EARNED by us through our relationship with them."

"Just because they're trapped inside you doesn't mean they belong to you, but I'm sure you've already learned that.. They could always make our lives miserable through what means they do have left, but by working with them. Learning about them, you can EARN their support, and through that support only then will they LEND you their powers."

After asking her somewhat normal question, Koume would realize a shift in Kiho’s energy and overall demeanor when the word "Control” was spoken, it was strange but there were things that the genin would have to learn from her bijuu as well as others out there such as Kiho and herself. So instead of asking any more questions, the girl would allow Kiho to explain just what being a Jinchuriki was all about.

It took trust, and the only way to be able to utilize all that the tailed beast had to offer, they would have to steadily improve their relationships and earn it from the bijuu themselves. It made a lot of sense, and Koume instantly felt a pain in her heart as a burning sensation washed over her stomach. She had just made progress towards getting to know the 6 Tails, but the girl might’ve erased it all by using such terminology.

I’m so sorry I didn’t mean it like that. The pinkette apologized to the slug, in which the bijuu simply exhaled a deep breath and nodded his head. Just don’t let it happen again. The Rokubi stated blandly. Deal.

"Okay so no control, only earning their trust. Got it.”

For a moment, thought would be given to the requirements needed. Trust, the foundation to any long lasting friendship, basically all the girl had to do was to make friends with the slug? It seemed rather easy, but surely it couldn’t be. To this day Koume still has fights with her closest friends - it was inevitable as everyone had their own ideals and way of doing things.

Taking in a deep breath, Koume would allow herself to take in everything at once, while also gathering her own thoughts and worries. She was afraid of failure, and rejection wasn’t something that sat well with the girl, friendships and relationships both. The girl wanted to buy all in, but there was something that she wanted to know. Hey. She would start, gathering the slug’s attention. A sigh could be heard before an echoing voice spoke within. Hmm? Curious, the Rokubi would sit up just far enough to look the girl into her deep green eyes.

Do you think we could be like..best friends?

It might have seemed like an odd question to those who were unaware of Koume’s nature, but the Rokubi had been sealed within the genin long enough to know that she was asking if he himself thought they were capable of getting along naturally. Another exhale escaped before an answer was finally given.

No, I’m the six tails and you’re just a little brat, of course we can’t be best friends. He watched a defeated and saddened look wash over the teen’s features, which was enough to tell the Slug that Koume was beyond serious. ..But maybe that can change with time - as all things do, and only if you listen to everything I tell you!

A slight chuckle escaped the girl's lips. The Rokubi’s words were enough for her.

"Sooo..how long are you in Kusa? I would like to learn all there is to know.” Koume turned her attention back to her friend. Perhaps the two could hang out more in the future.

A simple head nod was given as she shortly reiterated what was explained to her. She hoped Koume truly understood the concept of what she was trying to get across. The time it might take for them to truly bond could vary depending on her own personality and the personality of her Tailed Beast. Kiho was fortunate the last host had been there for roughly two decades before it needed to be put into another.

No breaking out or destruction of the village for that length of time was definitely a lot to live up to, but fortunately she had multiple people in her corner that made it all possible. She would never forget the support and advice she got from Lady Chihiro and Arashi sensei. If she could provide her that same level of help it would not only mean a lot to her, but it would mean even more to Kusagakure to know that they would have a battle ready tank at their side.

It was unfortunate she still had to look at things that way, but it was the nature of their role. The way Kiho saw it was that Chomei was definitely better off inside of her rather than having to be chanced all the time by greedy hunters and Shinobi. As they got closer the two of them could always find a way for Chomei to have the freedom they desired so much and deserved. Nonetheless, the girls focus would be reignited after hearing a slight giggle from Koume.

Hmmm, I wonder if that's a positive sign.

Maybe.. I wouldn't get your hopes up though.

"How long am 'I' going to be here? For as long as it takes for you to get to where you can actually begin progressing on your own. I'd say counting today roughly about three to four days. Might even stay afterward so I can familiarize myself more with your land and people, BUT, you will understand your abilities at the basic level and your responsibility as a Jinchuuriki when I'm done." A stern head nod was given to the girl before she entered that big head of hers to think of where to go next.

"I think its great that you've gotten the chance to finally communicate with them, but that's only the first step to growing as a Jinchuuriki. Tomorrow we are going to be trying to take slightly bigger leaps so it'll be important for you two to get as acclimated as possible So that the two of you might be capable of doing things like this... Well, something like this."

Kiho added before closing her eyes and placing her two hands together before two wings were summoned from the small of her back. "My improved relationship with Chomei has allowed me to take on one of her most noticeable traits. Flight." Almost immediately her wings begin to flicker at a speed hard to see by the average person.

Her body was now roughly three feet from the ground which wasn't a lot, but she didn't need to fly hundreds of feet up to prove a point. After a few seconds she would allow her frame to gently touch the ground. "Now I'm not entirely sure what your Tailed Beast is or what makes them special, but I think you're smart enough to get where I'm going right?"
