[attr="class","skullbody"]A quick puff as he waited for his teammate and team leader not far from the gates of Kusagakure. Today was going to be a fairly simple day for the three of them, at least from ichi's point of view. Another exhale as he reviewed the ideas in his head. Closing his eyes and feeling out into the ground for life around him. It was something he had only started to do more recently, learning sensory that was. Figuring if there were anytime for the young man to figure it out now was the time, that was the idea in his head anyways. Whether that truly worked or not was yet to be seen.

Taking a another long pull of his pipe he was breath out and snuff the burning coal of wood left inside the bowl and gingerly store the remains away inside of a canister under his yukata. Putting his pipe away in the process, as he was about to embark on a potentially dangerous mission. Not that he was particularly afraid for himself and his teammate, seeing as their leader was a rather capable shinobi in his own right. Ichi found himself smiling as he waited for Team One to assemble completely. The boy thinking on simply how much he loved how well trained he felt the shinobi here were.

Staring forward with relaxed, slightly bloodshot eyes, the lumbering smoker would happily stare out over his home with genuine glee.

Ichi's SA's and Techniques in Use:[break][break]

『Harvest Moon's Child』
Ichi was born to the Nakahara clan on the night of a Harvest Moon. Born with quite the green thumb he was assumed to be an inheritor of the clan's natural talents with plants. The roots ran deeper, however, as Ichi was born with a Kekkai Genkai, being a rare natural occurance of Wood Release outside of the Senju. In learning of this he has trained his kekkai to the best of his abilities. He is no master, seeing as he has no reference of Mokuton, but he has found a way to bring out techniques along side his own talents in a cohesive manner.

Ichi was born with Mokuton, but he was not graced with the same level of chakra as the Senju would be in his situation. Being roughly average for an individual, Ichi instead focused on the skills his birth clan preferred. Practicing his medical skills, he has gained a higher quality of Chakra Control. Ichi is much less likely to leak chakra than the average shinobi because of this.

In conjunction he'd also visually check the inscriptions on his numerous scrolls, each one sealing a particular item within its parchment. The last thing he needed was a break in the formula, causing the summoning to reject and leaving him without the necessary tools to complete the assignment at hand.[break] [break] Having gone through his items and confirming the the integrity of its contents he began sliding the pack and scrolls in the necessary holsters found along his belt, each scroll both small and large belonging to a particular slot which allowed the Jounin to grab the tool he needed to match the situation. Once he'd finalized his equipment he stroke out of his Clans estate, making his way towards the Villages entrance where he'd informed his students they'd meet before departure. [break] [break] The mission in which his Team was assigned was that of a routine patrol of one of the many roads which branched away from Kusagakure. With the recent inconsistencies in leadership the effects rippled out beyond the Hidden Villages borders, empowering undesirables to prey on the numerous citizens and merchants which frequented Nohara no Kunis roads. They'd grown bold over the past few months and their actions drew the ire of residents and visitors alike, prompting someone to submit a formal application for their eradication, or apprehension.[break] [break] As Hayabusa approached the gate he'd immediately see his towering student, the oldest Nakahara of his team, relaxing and enjoying the guilty pleasure of his pipe. And though many in a Teaching position would rebuke their juniors for partaking in such a habit, Hayabusa respected Ichis choice so long as he abided by a few simple rules. One, no smoking while on reconnaissance. Although the odor wasn't particularly foul, it's somewhat sweet smoky aroma easily gave away their position. And two, he'd not partake while they enjoyed a meal as a unit. Otherwise the young man was free to enjoy his pleasures as he saw fit. [break] [break] As he approached Ichi his biological arm raised in greeting "Nakahara-kun, always the early bird." his salmon gaze shifted from the taller of his students to the area around them in hopes of seeing the smallest, and youngest, of his Team. Once she arrived he'd get them to stand before him "Before we head off I want you both to do another check of your supplies and inventory. If you've forgotten something, leave quickly and get what you need to get. If you're equipped and ready I'll answer any queries you have. Greenest Thumb in Kusagakure

Megumi whistled cheerily as she marched through the streets of Kusagakure, war scythe in one hand with the other waving hello to all the familiar faces she passed by. Today was bound to be another great day, full of making her beloved nation a better place and earning some nice cash at the same time. There were other reasons to do the mission too, boring stuff like building teamwork or something, but Megumi wasn't too concerned about those aspects.

It wasn't long before she arrived at the designated meeting place, noting that Hayabusa and Ichi had gotten there before her. They seemed to be finishing up their greetings, to which Megumi added her own, saluting her sensei and flashing a smile to Ichi.

The green-haired genin fell in line beside her relative, giving Hayabusa her full attention. It was a fairly simple order, one that was a tad redundant since she was quite meticulous about her gear, but she nodded and checked all the same. She propped her war scythe against a post as she checked her drug box, mumbling softly to herself as she mentally checked off all the essentials. When she was done, she slung the box back over her back before checking her hip pouch. It only took her a few moments more to finish her equipment check, and then her war scythe was back in her hands and her signature smile plastered back on her face.

"No questions sir! Everything accounted for sir!"

[attr="class","skullbody"]Ichi would give a curt and respectful bow to his sensei as he arrived, matching the respect the old jounin gave him with the curtesy and manners his parents had raised him on. The dual-colored hair of the boy fully showing its lobsided nature as ever so quick to also enter the scene was his other teammate, Nakahara Megumi. Greeting the both with a calm and sturdy gaze that showed his current mellow demeanor with the cheerful focus that came from the older boy. Ichi would find himself always happy at the sight of other youths mingling with the wiser few of Kusagakure's shinobi populace. A sign of the 'Autumn' that he aspired to protect. Autumn was not meant to last forever though, and today was one instance in which he understood the weight of life that rested on the shoulders of those who deemed themseleves protectors.

"Sensei, I see you are in good health today," Ichi would reply at first to the man before turning to the green-haired youngster of the group with a smile, "and its good to see you prepared to go as well Megumi-Chan, good thing I brought some extra coin in case I get hurt, eh? I'll be trusting you with my back." Stretching his long arms up and out above his head Ichi would let out one more deep breath as he thought over everything one more time. Opening his eyes to a glimpse of a world painted hues of orange and gold before coming back to the world so easily.

"I am fully prepared as well Sensei." Ichi would say as he would look back to the experienced leader of his small genin team. He would be lying if he said this was not a team he couldn't think of as comfortable even far into the future where he dared dream of a position like the War Council, or perhaps as the Lord's bodyguard.

A slight chill of morning wind swept over Okingshi's skin as he slept. His skin crawled at the sensation, sending him into a shiver. Warm sunshine barely broke through his bedroom's curtains as they motioned back and forth with the breeze, leaving his room almost as dark as night.

Slowly openning his tired eyes, Okingshi yawned as his arms stretched out. Barely conscious, the boy didn't feel ready to awaken. Okingshi closed his eyes once again, as he rolled over and pulled his blanket back over his body. However his action was suddenly interrupted by the experience of gravity.

Falling off the side of his bed, Okingshi landed with a loud thud. The pain of landing on the hard wooden floor immediately woke his sleepy daze. As he begun to lift himself off the floor Okingshi looked at his window and then his clock. "Damn it" Okingshi thought, realising he was late. He quickly swung toward his wardrobe, rushed to get dressed. It took him about five minutes in total to get completely ready.

Before stepping to his window, Okingshi grabbed his gasmask and scythe, placing them both on his persons. Once he secured each tightly, he lept from his window to the ground below. "I better rush there quickly" Okingshi muttered to himself. Focusing his chakra steadily, the boy used migration; sinking into the ground.

Zipping through the soil and organic matter, Okingshi raced to the meeting place. It would take him less then two minutes to arrive - emerging not far from his peers. Okingshi ran the rest of the way and yelled out to announce his arrival. "Hey guys! Sorry I'm late!" Okingshi exclaimed.

[Futago Chichi]

Chichi would be assigned to a mission against the better judgement of the Kusa Lord. The pinkette had been readily available asleep on one of his filing cabinets, when he needed to charge Hayabusa with a far more pressing mission. In the mans stead a new chuunin or higher would be required to lead his genin team. Given the new mission letter for Hayabusa and a top to be more presentable to the genin, Chichi would be ejected from her leaders office aggressively sent in the direction of the team about to leave on their mission.

The pinkette would struggle with her mission, put this on, deliver that and continue on some team mission with genin? Unable to put the clues together she'd put the mission envelop on and carry the long unfolded shirt with her in hand. "HEY! HEY, LISTEN! Cuz I got an imp orient mission for you." Chichi would explain to her cousin who she'd stop. Her minds eye completely whiting out the genin around him at first, her hand out stretching the article of clothing to him. Certainly spurring confusion and worry, she'd look to the shirt too. A solid minute of serious processing would happen, before Chichi would notice strapped to her waist was a paper. She'd pull it from her body and hand it to him.

Why'd she have this other thing if it wasn't a message though? The girl thought to herself, as her relative would soon open the actual mission. It's contents must of been incredibly serious as he'd have to rush of hastily telling his team to go ahead with the mission and to believe in themselves. Almost as if to tip them off this woman before them wasn't going to be much help. Chichi would start to piece together what was in her hands, it disgusted her on an objective scale and with a visible look of dismay she'd toss away the article.

Internal dial-up noises queueing up, as she'd slowly load in the genin she was now supposed to guide. "Uh-so I'm Chichi! I know it's nice to meet me, but-uh, we should like totally get to missioning riiiight?" That seemed like the thing a team leader would say? Take charge immediately don't take names or numbers, just like assign them or something. What even was their mission? Thankfully knowing the estrange nature of the cat kunoichi, the directions given to her were ones she'd be able to follow. The name of a tavern was given, she loved it and the path too it. Was exactly where they needed to go.

How would these poor genin take the sudden shift of leadership? Why'd Chichi discard decency with that shirt? Whose that Pokemon?! Find out next time on NFB!

Even before they officially set out, today's mission was full of excitement and new developments! Okingshi, the third member of the team showed up late, though not so much that they had time to move out quite yet. Even before Hayabusa-sensei could scold the latecomer, another person arrived on the scene, this time the pink-haired village stray. Megumi hadn't personally met Chichi before, but the pinkette's reputation far preceded her, and the Nakahara barely stifled her laughter as Chichi proved that she was everything she thought she would be.

Instead of delivering a message and wearing a top, Chichi was doing the complete opposite, an envelope strapped to her waist while the shirt was thrust in Hayabusa's direction. It took some time for the gears in Chichi's head to get sorted out, but eventually the team's sensei received the letter and skimmed over its contents, wordlessly going to handle whatever was written there and leaving the trio of genin to Chichi herself. Supposedly this new Futago was to be in charge of their bandit killing mission and with a goofy grin on her face Megumi just went with the flow.

"Nice to meet you Chichi ma'am! Nakahara Megumi ready to head out!"

The green-haired girl tapped her weapon against the ground as she saluted the new leader, indicating quickly in the direction they needed to headed before starting the group's march out of the village. She checked to see if it seemed that there was any indication that Chichi knew where they were supposed to be headed, though deep down she figured she already knew the answer.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Whiplash was a common trait amongst the Futago... one that made Ichi wish he could use his pipe right now. Wisdom was knowing that was still a horrible decision to make for the young man as he looked to the new addition to their team with a light smile that travelled through his eyes. It was far more interesting this way in some capacity, though it made it a bit more... how to say... obtuse? They had just gotten together as a proper team and their sensei was being sent away from them all on business. This was the golden time to do it if at any point though, seeing as it would end badly if they, all but Chichi, had left before now. A sudden mission on the middle of a battlefield was an awful way to go through your day.

"Chichi-San, Nakahara Ichi I'll also be in your care for the time being then," Ichi would say looking to his Sensei before the man left. Giving him a level-headed nod. While Ichi was not truly suited for these sorts of missions, he could help in other ways if necessary. His barrier made it easier to keep the enemy in place, so he could simply focus on being the cage while the others worked if necessary, that was a simple way to go about his role here, or at least he thought so on the simpler side of things. He was thinking a lot today wasn't he, probably should have gotten out of his head prior to the mission a bit more. Oh well.

Waiting for Okingshi's introduction Ichi would proceed to grin and cross his arms underneath his yukata's sleeves, "Shall we discuss roles and strategy on the way then? I believe it would be best if we went sooner rather than later." the jolly giant would ask levelling his gaze over to Chichi now, who was now the defacto group leader.

『The Festival's Atmosphere』
Having practiced his skills with extending his senses outwards with the use of mokuton chakra, Ichi is particularly adept at sensing life in an area. Capable of finding life through the very nature around people. Within [20 meters] Ichi is capable of passively sensing out plant and animal life in a general sense. Able to differentiate it between plant and animal, but no further. Unlike chakra sensory Ichi can not more or less readily sense others based on their chakra, but instead purely senses the 'vitality' in things, though even those with seemingly boundless vitality will read the same as the elderly or a newborn to him. Also unlike usually sensory to actively search out individuals Ichi requires Mokuton, or the use of his pipe (though using it makes his position much easier to locate), as a catalyst to extend his senses, only going out as far as the technique's range, or twice his passive range in case of the pipe. It is also notable that the deceased, and those that feign death in some fashion, as through a poison or a jutsu, are completely invisible to Ichi. Notably the furthest he can extend his senses is [100 meters].

[Gure, Okingshi]

Upon his arrival Okingshi stood silent, watching the choatic scene unfolding in front of him. An odd-looking, pink-haired Kunoichi had joined the group soon after himself, leaving his own entrance unacknowledged. Okingshi searched his memories, wondering if he had seen the woman around the village before; he might have but had never actually talked to her or been formally introduced. Her presence seemed to spark the chaos when she expressed to the team's leader, she was taking command. 

His lean figure swayed in the wind like a near dead tree in a winter storm, exuding a strange awkwardness at the thought of being lead by a stranger. He hadn't had the time to say hello to his jounin team leader, Hayabusa before they left. The boy did his best not to show his disappointment, suppressing what negative feelings he had about the situation. 

As the introductions begun, Okingshi listened carefully to the unknown Kunoichi's name. Her way of speaking and mannerisms was loud and eccentric, triggering Okingshi into a bout of internal nervousness. After his peers had finished their introduction, Okingshi slowly opened his mouth and spoke through his gas-mask. "I'm Gure, Okingshi." he muttered.

He heard Ichi's question, or rather statement on whether the group should discuss strategies and battle roles. For a moment the genin hesitated, before he'd begin to interject. "I'm suited to infiltration, scouting, foraging, ambushes. I would be best in a vanguard role" he gulped on his words, as thoughts ran through his mind - hopefully the group wouldn't just throw him onto the frontline to be slaughtered; he thought.

[Futago Chichi]

There'd been few occasions the pinkette had authority over anyone other than her summons. This little trio was quite the interesting bunch, they'd seem to in her eyes embody a different level of energy and enthusiasm. Gummy had the highest energy and enthusiasm, Itchy was that middle of the road, but the last kid they seemed like a deficit of energy. An almost void, the embodiment of night taking too many downers. A feeling she somehow understood and in a fond manner. So far the team seemed fine.

'Of course it is!' She'd think to herself when Gummy said it was nice to meet, then her brain would ponder. Itchy's introduction had a familiar tune to it. Were the first and second related? Perhaps the two were like a married couple! She didn't know how young some people would get married. So like the possibilities were limitless, or at least that's what the airhead told herself. It was a valid enough method to convince herself to never fact check. Or be culturally aware.

Finally Okingshi would introduce himself, however through the muffled mask and her complete lack of attention she'd just hear. 'M Gur o kinky~', which was immediately translated to 'Mmm, girl so kinky.' Which was beyond the wrong translation, but she felt it made sense. She was here after all. "You don't know the half of it." She'd tell the Gure with a wink before beginning to walk in the direction of the right path. She had a different goal than the mission though, but they thankfully went down the same path.

Her intuition to move was correct, as it'd be suggested by Itchy. Though he'd also suggest the group talk about strategy and their roles. She didn't realize this group was into roleplaying. The kinky remark by the Gure was clear foreshadowing. Though whatever roles Okingshi was suggesting for him sounded like a foreign language to the Futago. She'd think back to what he said he was good at, but it was a lot of big words. She's pretty sure he mentioned foraging in bushes. "I'm not sure how much we'll need to pick berries, but if I see any bushes I'll point them out for you."

"What about the Nagaharou's, what roles are you two into?" Chichi would ask while spinning around to face the team, as she'd lead them down the path. Attempting to show off her amazing path recollection, as well as superb cat like balance. Though she was more so just arrogantly walking backwards with a complete disregard for any possible on coming traffic. Hopefully they'd have their eye out for her, she was lucky enough to catch most peoples eyes after all.

[Nakahara Megumi]

Greenest Thumb in Kusagakure

Megumi had heard of Chichi before, which was why she had kept her own introduction short and to the point. Ichi had sorta done the same, but then followed up with a suggestion about discussing roles and strategy, worse yet, Okingshi entertained that suggestion with a serious answer. While Megumi conceded that was a smart thing to do in a normal situation, this was anything but. Before the pinkette could even begin speaking, Megumi's attention was shifted back to the ditzy Futago, expectantly awaiting what nonsense was going to spout from her mouth. The green-haired genin couldn't stop laughing the moment Chichi began speaking. She thought it was complete nonsense at first, but by the end of it Megumi understood the subtext.

"It's Na-ka-ha-ra. And I prefer to be dominant, aggressive! Going in first and taking charge"

The genin puncuated each syllable and word with a flourish of her scythe, barely stifling laughter as she played along with innuendo, though she was also genuinely describing how she liked to handle combat. At the same time, Megumi kept any eye out on the foot traffic ahead of them, noting that people did immediately spot and recognize the scantily clad Futago before giving them a wide berth. Amazingly, the group of shinobi would continue traveling without Chichi bumping into anyone, all the way to the tavern even.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Though highly capable socially, and more than just a little observant; Ichi didn't catch on. His generally dead version of romantic and sexual interest showing as the innuendo fell on mostly deaf ears from him. Simply continuing to move with... some concept of it being funny thanks to his cousin, but to what degree he didn't know. He would just continue to smile and watch out ahead, enjoying his time with his squadmates over all.

He was completely unsure with what came next as he looked between his cousin and Okingshi before turning Chichi with some level of oblivious, but calmly happy eyes. Waiting for Megumi to finish speaking he would respond, "I operate best from behind the group, its easier to watch and see the action before responding if I can place everyone first. Observation is something of a speciality of mine," Ichi would state with a face so straight and voice so straightforward and cool that one would believe he had an absolutley insane poker face, or, as his cousin and Okingshi were more likely to identify, he was completely oblivious of Chichi's intentions from her words and responded in an honest manner.

Keeping his face forward afterwords and his eyes well over Chichi's head he would look outwards to view towards unseen enemies that were no closer to them than they had been before. His gaze never so much as looking back to his team as he tried to utilize his height to play lookout from where his tall stature was moving center mass behind Chichi herself. Making his operational field, technically, smaller but that was fine when he focused on non-physical arts.

Ichi's SA's and Techniques in Use:[break][break]

『Harvest Moon's Child』
Ichi was born to the Nakahara clan on the night of a Harvest Moon. Born with quite the green thumb he was assumed to be an inheritor of the clan's natural talents with plants. The roots ran deeper, however, as Ichi was born with a Kekkai Genkai, being a rare natural occurance of Wood Release outside of the Senju. In learning of this he has trained his kekkai to the best of his abilities. He is no master, seeing as he has no reference of Mokuton, but he has found a way to bring out techniques along side his own talents in a cohesive manner.

『Weaver of Wood』
Ichi was born with Mokuton, but he was not graced with the same level of chakra as the Senju would be in his situation. Being roughly average for an individual, Ichi instead focused on the skills his birth clan preferred. Practicing his medical skills, he has gained a higher quality of Chakra Control. Ichi is much less likely to leak chakra than the average shinobi because of this.

『The Festival's Atmosphere』
Having practiced his skills with extending his senses outwards with the use of mokuton chakra, Ichi is particularly adept at sensing life in an area. Capable of finding life through the very nature around people. Within [20 meters] Ichi is capable of passively sensing out plant and animal life in a general sense. Able to differentiate it between plant and animal, but no further. Okingshi was gobsmacked at the pink-haired girl's reply. Did she not understand what he said? The moment passed by him, as he struggled to formulate the words to explain what he had meant. Instead the others in the group chimed in with their respective team roles, giving Okingshi some reprieve. Even so he turned his head away from everyone in embrassment, with cheeks flushed red hidden behind his gas-mask. 'I'm an idiot' he thought to himself.

The genin continued to listen to the others as his self-consciousness judgement faded. It quickly became apparent to Okingshi that they'd need to get going, or at least he would; if he were to fulfil his role and finish this mission. "I'm going on ahead. If I see an enemies, I'll come straight back and let you know Megumi. Then you can beat them up." Okingshi said, his gas-mask muffling the words once again.

Okingshi jumped forward and begun sprinting ahead of the group. He hoped to more pre-emptive than Megumi for once, and find the bandits before she got herself into trouble. She wasn't as cautious as she should, and that had always worried him - hopefully this time she'd use some common-sense and let the Gure scout ahead for their foes.
