Taking a moment to revel in his success, Okingshi grinned. He was relatively surprised at the ease of it all, expecting to have more difficulties. Looking back at the scythe, his goal and preparing himself to try again, Okingshi let out a deep sigh. It was getting late, and his body was still sore, but he didnt want to stop until he it was back firmly in his hand. He mulled over his last attempt and what he'd have to do different. Use more chakra? No. If he had any hope of attaining it, he'd have to continuously mold chakra into his feet as he ran up the tree, he thought to himself.

He dropped his head and closed his eyes again, this time focusing his chakra without a handseal. While neglecting the use of a handseal made it more difficult to pool his chakra, it would be essential to learn in order to continuously provide the required chakra to cling his feet to the horizontal plane. It took longer for the chakra to build up then before. For a short time he stood there, getting used to providing and controlling chakra at his feet until he felt like it came natural to him and he was happy with the results.

Okingshi placed a foot forward, bending a knee as he readied himself to attempt another tree climb. A few seconds later he began his sprint, bolting toward the base of the tree at full speed. Using his momentum, Okingshi lunged forward, lifting his foot to contact the trunk and start his ascent. This time he felt confident, like he could actually complete his training. Okingshi's foot successfully gripped onto the bark, allowing him to take another step. He could feel the energy pooled in his foot slowly disapate, so he molded more and more, giving as much as needed.

Concentrating on his chakra control, Okingshi swept another foot in front of him, slamming it onto the trunk. He grinned as his foot adhered successfully again. 'I'm getting the hang of this', he thought to himself. With three steps completed, Okingshi confidence increased substantially. He had progressed much since he started his training, suprising himself at the level of chakra control he had. Pushing himself forward again, Okingshi took another step and another making his way beyond the point he reached during his last attempt. From that point he knew he had finished his training, the rest seemed easy. As he continued, Okingshi quickly made his way up to the branch were his weapon laid.

From his vantage point looking up, Okingshi could see the leafs of the tree tops rustling in the wind for hundreds of meters and beyond that, the village gate. His grin widened ear to ear as he stood there on the branch, finally having mastered the intricacies of the tree climbing tree. Okingshi looked down again at his weapon sitting snugly in the branch only two metres or so away. "I could've just used my kekkai genkai" Okingshi thought as he realised he could have made it a lot easier for himself; but having been under the influence it never came to mind.

Okingshi walked along the narrow branch, using his new-found ability to complement his balance as he stepped forward. It was only a moment before he was in reaching distance of his weapon and bent down to pick it up. With the shift in weight, the branch snapped, sending him and his weapon to the ground. Okingshi didnt even realise it had broken until he had fallen enough to see the tree top pull away. In seconds, Okingshi, the branch and his scythe hit the ground with a loud thump. He groaned out louder than the sound of the falling debris as his back once again to the full brunt of the drop. This time however, he wasted no time to stand up, and joyfully celebrate getting his weapon back. Bending over carefully not to hurt his back, Okingshi picked up his weapon, gripping it once again. With it in his hand, he danced and celebrated a little more.

After finishing his little dance, Okingshi looked down at his weapon and tighten his grip. He gazed at the mould growing along it's blade, debating in his head if he should continue his training or head home. By now, the sun was low in the sky with hues of pink and purple dying the clouds like cotton candy. He stood their for a minute or so, as his body ached trying to make up his mind. "I've put so much effort in trying to get you back, I'm not quitting now" Okingshi concluded, speaking to his scythe as if it were an animate being.

With that settled, Okingshi turned so could return back to his training field; the grassy knoll. Walking through the path he made earlier in-between the bracken and thorn bushes, he rushed a little, feeling eager to complete the spinning trick. Once through to the clearing and settling on the top the grass mound, he placed the butt on the weapon on the ground and thought back to the failure that caused him to lose the weapon in the first place. "I'm not losing you again, I'm going to learn this technique now or never!" Okingshi passionately said, talking to his weapon again.

With a strong grip on Silence, Okingshi plucked the weapon from the ground and lifted it in front of him. His back was aching more than before as the weight of scythe stretched his muscles. However he remained stoic and calm, ready to try his third attempt at spinning the unruly weapon. With his new found confidence, it wouldn't take long.

After swing his arm side to side to ready himself and warm up his muscles, Okingshi began mentally preparing himself in each of the steps. With a jolt of the wrist, he opened his palm causing the blade to spin. It wasn't as fast as his last attempt giving him much need control over the outcome. As the blade spun, Okingshi paid close attention to the sensation he felt as the handle rubbed around his palm. Paying close attention to sensations was something he learnt trying to use the tree climbing technique. He quickly closed his hand as he felt the handle rotate back into its upright position. With this, Okingshi had successfully rotated the weapon in a single spin.

A sigh of relief parted Okingshi's lips as he internally congratulated himself. He had finally gotten the basic motion of the technique down. But he still needed to increase it's speed and the number of rotations to have combat applications.

With his confidence only increasing, Okingshi quickly continued his training eager to finish it before sunset. He had little over 10 minutes or more to get it down within his goal. Taking another deep breath, Okingshi looked at his Scythe and uttered "here we go again". Okingshi pulled his facial muscles into a sharp serious look, his eyesbrow slanting diagonally and his mouth shortened as he concentrated.

His right hand gripped silence tightly as he readily himself for hopefully what would be his last attempt at mastering the simple technique of spinning his weapon. Lifting it up vertically with his body and adjusting his stance until he was satisfied, Okingshi didn't hesitate and instantly rolled his wrist. The weapon spun as he opened his palm wide. In that moment the weapon began to spin with such speed and veracity, Okingshi let go all doubts it would fail. As it continued to spin with enough velocity to maintain its position, Okingshi smiled. He had finally achieved what he set out to do. With one simple nudge of his finger, the weapon slowed enough for him to close his hand into a fist and clasp onto the weapon. "Hell yes! I did it!" Okingshi yelled, as he jumped into the air in celebration again.

As he calmed and steadied himself after a short celebration, Okingshi gathered his things. He looked at his dirty coat and pushed one arm through a sleeve. "Mother's going to kill me" Okingshi thought, as he looked down at small hole in the fabric, torn from his venture into the bushes earlier. As he began his walk home, Okingshi continued dressing himself in it, sliding his other arm into another sleeve.

He hadn't journeyed that far from the village to his training place, which meant he'd since be home before dusk and coincidingly dinner. "Ew, dinner" Okingshi muttered. The idea of going home to his mother's cooking wasn't appealing, and he winced at the idea for a second. Nevertheless, Okingshi would use the short walk home to practice the technique some more. Dawdling with exceptionally slow and small strides to capitalise on his time, Okingshi lifted the scythe to the side of him. Again with the flick of his wrist, the weapon started spinning in his palm. An air of confidence surrounded Okingshi as he further mastered the technique, becoming more familiar with its intricacies and required movements.

Approaching the village gate, Okingshi swung the scythe diagonally as it spun causing it to cross his body over and over again. After showing off a little, he quickly sheathed his weapon onto the holster tied to his back to avoid raising any suspicion from the village gate guards. Finally threw the gates, Okingshi was finished his training for the day.
