Nakajima Ryuunosuke

Ryuunosuke spoke of destiny and a desire to learn. The other two were more than content with the success of their mission and a safe escape, victors in their own rights and ready to return and report on what they had found, return Emiri to her place within the village, give Shuka the briefing of what had transpired. As instructed by Ryuunosuke and as they agreed to do, the remainder of the team left, ready to trek back through the icy caverns of the Boreal Locket and return home.

That left Ryuunosuke in the cave with Sepa and Jōrō.

"You have already gained my favor," Jōrō answered him. What she had seen was enough for her to believe he had a great promise in the mastery of katon and that he could be a suitable apprentice for her master's style. "The one you must forge contract with, however, is our sister. Ōmukade."

The name was evocative of a particular Yokai. The story of a fearsome beast, a man-eating monster who lived in the mountains and attacked villages. Whoever this elder centipede was, she was frightful enough to be named for that story.

Sepa descended into the hole in the ground, entering another tunnel. If Ryuunosuke followed, Sepa would lead the way through a series of burrows into a central hub.

Here, there were many centipedes roaming around, most as small as common centipedes, though some larger. As they travelled deeper, they reached a dark epicenter.

From the shadows, there was a trembling, and a light red glow grew. The soft light cast the form of a large and fearful beast into view. Jet black, her remaining form disappeared into the shadows. It was easy to speculate she was well over 100 ft long.



She stared, silently, at Ryuunosuke.

I'm gonna watch it burn

His teammates - and now Emiri - were safe and gone. Exactly as how the Nakajima asked, and he was alone in potentially a very dangerous situation himself. The stark contrast was that Ryuunosuke was skilled in battle, more vicious and more focused than his cryo-frozen cousin, who was more trained to be a leader. Each flame was better at one thing compared to the rest, and Ryuunosuke considered himself to be the best of the combative Blue Flames, to this date, no one stood to challenge him on that, not even the more skilled Nakajimas. At the cave, stuck with both Sepa and Jōrō. The man stared back and forth between his esteemed hosts, waiting for someone to make a move.

When Jōrō stated that Nakajima already gained her favor, he smiled faintly, like he achieved the easiest victory just by showing up. He wasn't expecting the follow-up. Ōmukade? That demonic centipede Yokai exists? Isn't that supposedly bigger than even most common dragons? Those exist too? Ryuunosuke wasn't much of a spiritualist, but after the events that transpired today and what they found, most titanic mythologies seemed to have more fact than fiction. "Sounds like another challenge... I'm in." Sepa dug their way into another ice tunnel, however, unlike the tunnels of the battle before. It was similar to creating a tunnel to traverse through.

The Nakajima glanced at Jōrō for a sign of reassurance, regardless if he got some or not, the Yuki Chūnin took a deep breath before deciding to follow into the tunnel. Ryuunosuke could no longer tell if it was warmer or colder the deeper they got, adrenaline already starting to creep through Ryuunosuke's veins. After some undefined time, Ryuunosuke started to see even more mukade of pretty common size for the insects, but the deeper he went, the bigger the mukade got. He had wondered how long his cremation form could stave off the venom caused by their bites, he almost felt like he was outnumbered and overpowered but if they did decide to turn on him, well... Ryuunosuke would make sure this cavern becomes an inferno gate to hell.

What he wasn't expecting was the light red glow and the whole cavern feeling like it was shaking. Great, I'll either become a god here or I'll be written in the country's history as the greatest supernova starter. Here goes. The Yuki thought as he steeled his nerves, watching as the soft glow intensified and a monster out of legend appeared. "Greetings, Ōmukade." Ryuunosuke bowed enough to show respect but angled enough to act if need be. "It is an honor to be allowed here."

As a Nakajima, Ryuunosuke has the honor of learning the clan hijutsu' Haini no Jutsu [Cremation Technique], in doing so, he displayed flames in the color of Blue. Aided by using Katon Jutsus in combat during the use of [Cremation Technique] had his chakra fuse with flames he created. Shifting the aesthetics of red to blue flames for all Nakajima/Katon Jutsus. As a result, he is a Nakajima of the Blue Flame.

Heightened Chakra Reserves
If Ryuunosuke knows one true strategy, it's to completely overwhelm his opponents. Through extensive training with his Nakajima Hijutsu, Ryuunosuke unlocked his true potential in chakra reserves, giving him extra fuel to fan his flames. His chakra reserves relationally doubled, meaning whatever his chakra level is at genin is doubled; heightening his reserves beyond other shinobi of similar skill compared to Ryuunosuke.


Blue Inferno
As a natural occurrence, blue fire is hotter in temperature compared to red and orange flames. Burns for Ryuunosuke up a degree of severity, 2nd-degree burn turn into third degrees, and so on. This temperature shift allows Ryuunosuke to burn open or cauterize wounds to unleash brutal blue infernos.

Atomic Spiral
Chakra is fuel and for Nakajimas, fuel is fire. Tapping into his increased reserves, Ryuunosuke's flames are entirely fed chakra, requiring no oxygen that powers the flames on his body while using the Cremation Technique. Due to utilizing his chakra reserves, the Nakajima's flames intensity boarders unnatural and the substance needed lacks any earthly component besides pure chakra. Because of this, his base cremation ability intensifies his flames to merely appear to go supernova, turning up the heat around him to substantially increase in temperature, melting snow and ice around him in a 10-meter radius (Distance is Set and will not increase with the Intense heat SA). Unlike most fire jutsus, Ryuunosuke's Cremation technique won't go out submerged underwater. Being sustained solely by chakra does allow the flames to exist in little to no oxygen areas, allowing his Cremation body to exist while submerged in water. This level of mastery within a Blue Flame is indicated by a blue-violet gradient hue, overwriting the complete blue aesthetic that a typical Blue Flame has on both clan-specific and universal Katon. Appearing as a spiral of multiple colors, the Nakajima's flames exist on another level, but where he stands on the totem pole is now unknown. Nakajima Ryuunosuke

Ryuunosuke bowed to the great beast, though she made no greeting in return, continuing to stare at him for a long and eerily silent moment with contemplative eyes. Her jaws twitched slightly as she thought. Even in the dark of the cave, it was clear enough that she could consume a man whole if she so desired. Luckily, there was more curiosity in her beady eyes than bloodlust. In the quiet cave, for several heartbeats, the only sound was the soft skittering of thousands of tiny legs.

Then, Ōmukade moved. She stepped from her place of rest and began to wind out into the space of the tunnel, a surprisingly quick movement for one of her size. Jōrō and Sepa both seemed unmoved and unsurprised, apparently having expected this action from her as she formed a circle around the three of them, leaving Ryuunosuke and the other two centipedes in a veritable fortress of her body, excluding all the other, smaller centipedes.

After another few, tense seconds, Ōmukade finally dared to speak.

The sound was a rasp, like the winds of a storm, sharp and rattling.

"Fire," she said, simply, the lures about her head dancing and bathing the trio in a moving red light.

"She wants a demonstration," Jōrō concluded. "Do you have the energy to show her one of your techniques?"

I'm gonna watch it burn

Ryuunosuke didn't really know how to react, no previous situation truly prepared him for this, but his pride and desire was enough drive to keep him moving forward. The Nakajima looked back up, both mystified and tense at Ōmukade's actions. Such a giant creature moving faster than he could register, Just... how strong is that thing? The Nakajima thought as the speed alone shocked him, and agitated him for being weaker than a bug. The Nakajima wasn't sure how he should take it, but he did know one thing, not lightly. The man looked at his insect comrades, at least for the moment, before turning back to where the glow was starting to come from.

After what felt like a lifetime, a bellow begetting fire echoed the caverns. Jōrō came to him, her voice acting as a translator to the demands. Her question was followed by a firm nod as Azure flames began ripping out of his bodies, "It's going to be big, make sure no little ones are harmed." The Chūnin stated before he was completely engulfed in blue flames. The Nakajima raised his hands as a violet surge generated even more intense flames as his heatwave around him reached a fiery point. He weaved the 12 hand seals to mold the Katon chakra that was once meant for Sepa prior to the relative cease-fire they are in.

It was as if weaving the seals kickstarted a supernova process from intensity alone before Ryuunosuke unleashed the strongest jutsu in his arsenal, amplified even worse by his proficiency alone. The area around him was easily bathed in flames even though it wouldn't injure him. He stayed in his amplified cremation state despite that tax on even his enhanced reserves.

Nakajima Ryuunosuke

At Ryuunosuke's warning, Jōrō nodded her agreement. In accordance with this request, she scuttled up her sister's side and out of the ring, moving to work on getting all the smaller centipedes to back away, make room for the enormous display of fire that they were about to witness.

Sepa, however, remained grounded. The risk of being burned did not seem to frighten him even though it was certainly possible for him to be singed by such flames. Perhaps it was something in the culture of the more war-like centipedes, wanting to weather the flames to test the strength for himself.

Ryuunosuke weaved his hand seals and began to emit an intense flame. A brilliant plume of blue violet, so bright it filled the darkened space and revealed every crevice of it before blinding once again through the pure intensity of light. The ceiling above began to melt from brutal flames, water sizzling as it dripped from the ceiling only to immediately evaporate into steam.

The extension of the flames made it all the more impressive. The sweltering heat eventually became even too much for Sepa and he, too, had to retreat behind Ōmukade's carapace to spare himself.

When, eventually, Ryuunosuke decided his flames had been prolonged long enough and stopped, the ceiling would still be dripping with water, almost a manufactured rain into the burrow. He had bored a hole thoroughly into the icy ceiling above, leaving scorches all about. Even Ōmukade's shell seemed marked with it where she had gotten too close, though this did not appear to bother her (doubtless Jōrō would be treating her later anyways).

Ōmukade's antennae twitched as she started at Ryuunosuke. She unraveled from her wall around him and retreated into darkness again before returning with a scroll, which she offered to him. Apparently his demonstration had been enough to impress her. If he unfurled the scroll, he would find a contract.

The only previous signer was one simply named Rekka.

I'm gonna watch it burn

Ryuunosuke heard Ōmukade requested for fire, the Nakajima was gonna deliver. It did unsettle him when Sepa for the most part stuck near his blazing display. A smug would appear if he wasn't sending out enough fire to effectively burn away a blizzard. Ryuunosuke had let the flames linger, just to show off their intensity. Even with his wealth of chakra, it still ate a lot just to show that display. The Yuki nin allowed his cremation technique to disperse slowly downward to allow the flames around him to quell their heat. Ryuunosuke looked at the Ōmukade, watching for her approval.

He barely noticed she got a little injured but the giant didn't seem to care about it. Instead, the gaze they shared invoked her to twitch her antennae. She traversed into the darkness and Ryuunosuke was left with the others briefly. "I think that was good, right?" The Nakajima thought out loud, he wasn't really completely settled still with the venomous centipedes just chilling here. The Yuki Nin's fear was a mix of relief and unbearing terror as he saw Ōmukade return, bearing a scroll within her mandibles. The awkward exchange led to Ryuunosuke unraveling the scroll.

It was a contract, a rather dangerous one, and the next prospect was Ryuunosuke himself. He had to smile but it turned into something akin to shock. The last owner was an individual named 'Rekka'. The name itself was literally raging fire and already the adolescent felt like he was stepping into territories that broke the line between fact and fiction. That was not a name given to an individual and even prior to Nakajima thematic, he recalled no one being named 'Raging Fire'. Was... Am I looking at the name of a demon, or something more divine?

Taking off one of his gloves, he bit down on the skin off his index finger, writing his name out in blood prior to putting an imprint of his thumbprint, coated in blood next to it prior to giving back the scroll. "Jōrō, Sepa, Ōmukade. What do we do next? I never led a theoretical army like this; but, I'll make sure to make you guys proud of this day." Ryuunosuke stated. By no means was he a god of fire, but given his techniques and passion, he may as well be a budding one.

Nakajima Ryuunosuke

While Ōmukade was the leader of this operation, it seemed like she was one more inclined to sit back and observe than anything else in these situations. A silent and dark matriarch compelled only to action in very special circumstances.

Now that the contract had been forged, she carefully rolled it again with her forelimbs and then returned it to where it belonged, in the dark of the cave. She remained in the darkness for a time. It seemed like she might be searching for something. Another small but still notable centipede scuttled in beside her to help.

Jōrō and Sepa returned to Ryuunosuke's side.

"...That was alright," Sepa said, not fully willing to admit, in his stubbornness, that Ryuunosuke's display had been impressive. It was clear that he, too, took pride in the strength of his fire and would happily test it against Ryuunosuke again in the future.

"It was very impressive. I had to clear all the little ones away quickly," Jōrō stated. "Now that you have been accepted by our sister, you are friends with our fold. That means we can help you to learn our old master's technique if you would like," she said.

"Or if you have questions, we could answer them," Jōrō continued. "About this place, about Rekka. We could introduce you to more of our siblings who might work beside you..." It had been a long time since they had had companions outside of their extended centipede family. Perhaps she was a bit excited to have the company and she knew that her younger, more curious siblings would be all the more enthused.

I'm gonna watch it burn

Ryuunosuke was eager to learn more and more of these secret Katon techniques, but he also signed a contract. Usually, they weren't one-sided and he knew that, though which each had wasn't found out until it was pushed to the limit. When Jōrō and Sepa came to him, the Nakajima smiled slightly at the accolades, especially from Sepa. He seemed to be a monster on his own level when it came to Katon. The Nakajima had many questions for that, however, those could easily be answered on the battlefield. While a nod was given to Sepa, Jōrō took the Yuki shinobi's attention with her questions. "While I do have questions about a lot of things and still want to look for power, I feel it is more than necessary to meet the rest of the many-legged creatures."

The man was no stranger to formalities and he did recall from Mitsuki that summons worked better with stronger bonds. He has never seen them, nor has he had a chance to work with a summon. However, by signing that contract, now was a better time than later. "We can attend to the other matters as we have more time and freedom, right now, it's the best time to learn who I am working with and what we are all capable of." The Nakajima nodded in his head that this was the best course of action. No matter how much he wanted to get stronger.

There was always a beginning.

Ryuunosuke elected to meet the remainder of the centipedes who would be partaking in the contract with him. This answer seemed to please Jōrō. Sepa less so, though he seemed the least social of the two and had a competitive spirit - so it made sense jutsu would interest him more than conversation. In the interest of that, he would step aside and allow Jōrō to take care of the introductions.

"You have already met the majority of the warriors of our clan," she informed him. Sepa and Ōmukade were the major katon warriors. Jōrō was the battle medic. "There are two others of significant enough skill to be mentioned. I will introduce you to two more of my siblings."

Skittering across the ground, she led him past the smaller centipedes to find one that was still of decent proportion, though much smaller than his brethren. Three meters long and jet black, this was the first of the centipedes to look as though quick speed would suit him well.

"This is Akuchū," Jōrō introduced. Another centipede named for a yokai - this one for a deadly bug.

Akuchū regarded Ryuunosuke somewhat coolly, barely turning his head to look at the shinobi.

"...I saw your fire display," Akuchū said. "It was nothing like our master's, but it was okay. Maybe with time you'll be as good as us."

"You're still a trainee yourself," Jōrō teased mildly. "And your natural element is doton. You have much to learn if you want to compete with the katon masters."

"Whatever," Akuchū scoffed, clearly embarrassed. Whatever timescale these insects lived on, it seemed like this one was in the mindset of a show-off teenager.

I'm gonna watch it burn

Jōrō stated that already, Ryuunosuke had met the most of the centipedes working with him. The Nakajima scratched his head, he already met the bulk, so what did that leave? Jōrō mentioned of there being two more to meet which quite honestly surprised the Yuki shinobi, he figured it was mostly a wrap, but given how she said he'll be meeting more, he shouldn't have expected any less. She began to move to presumably the next of her kin which prompted him to follow. The Nakajima was a guest and he didn't expect them to give him any leadership thus far, a thought process he understood and followed with. A centipede, dominant with black coloration, moving impressively fast was presumably the next on the meet list.

Akuchū was his name and he was very, well, he was definitely a tad smaller than the big guns he has met thus far. He spoke stating he saw the Chūnin's display of fire, comparing it to his former master, it wasn't like what he saw but it was decent enough. With training, maybe he'll be as good as them. Ryuunosuke smiled at the challenge presented. Jōrō spoke as he stated where Akuchū's pitfalls were. The Nakajima crouched, "Tell you what, if you manage to burn me then you can start comparisons, until then, we'll train together, Akuchū." The adolescent stated with a sense of pride in his voice.

Looking back at Jōrō, Ryuunosuke nodded, "Alright, who's the next mukade?" The man asked, sensing this was more of a competitive group he signed with.

As a Nakajima, Ryuunosuke has the honor of learning the clan hijutsu' Haini no Jutsu [Cremation Technique], in doing so, he displayed flames in the color of Blue. Aided by using Katon Jutsus in combat during the use of [Cremation Technique] had his chakra fuse with flames he created. Shifting the aesthetics of red to blue flames for all Nakajima/Katon Jutsus. As a result, he is a Nakajima of the Blue Flame.

Heightened Chakra Reserves
If Ryuunosuke knows one true strategy, it's to completely overwhelm his opponents. Through extensive training with his Nakajima Hijutsu, Ryuunosuke unlocked his true potential in chakra reserves, giving him extra fuel to fan his flames. His chakra reserves relationally doubled, meaning whatever his chakra level is at genin is doubled; heightening his reserves beyond other shinobi of similar skill compared to Ryuunosuke.


Blue Inferno
As a natural occurrence, blue fire is hotter in temperature compared to red and orange flames. Burns for Ryuunosuke up a degree of severity, 2nd-degree burn turn into third degrees, and so on. This temperature shift allows Ryuunosuke to burn open or cauterize wounds to unleash brutal blue infernos.

Atomic Spiral
Chakra is fuel and for Nakajimas, fuel is fire. Tapping into his increased reserves, Ryuunosuke's flames are entirely fed chakra, requiring no oxygen that powers the flames on his body while using the Cremation Technique. Due to utilizing his chakra reserves, the Nakajima's flames intensity boarders unnatural and the substance needed lacks any earthly component besides pure chakra. Because of this, his base cremation ability intensifies his flames to merely appear to go supernova, turning up the heat around him to substantially increase in temperature, melting snow and ice around him in a 10-meter radius (Distance is Set and will not increase with the Intense heat SA). Unlike most fire jutsus, Ryuunosuke's Cremation technique won't go out submerged underwater. Being sustained solely by chakra does allow the flames to exist in little to no oxygen areas, allowing his Cremation body to exist while submerged in water. This level of mastery within a Blue Flame is indicated by a blue-violet gradient hue, overwriting the complete blue aesthetic that a typical Blue Flame has on both clan-specific and universal Katon. Appearing as a spiral of multiple colors, the Nakajima's flames exist on another level, but where he stands on the totem pole is now unknown. Nakajima Ryuunosuke

"I'll be doing it soon enough! I've been training with Sepa," Akuchū complained. Sepa, not part of the conversation, was happy not to suddenly jump into it to defend his little brother with a big attitude. With an agitated chitter, Akuchū scuttled up the cave wall in a flicker of quick movement, scurrying off somewhere. Hopefully to train.

"Our final sibling should be..." Jōrō's gaze flickered around, scanning the dark for her referenced sibling.

From the darkness by Ōmukade's side, a centipede walked closer, carrying in their jaws a scroll. They were the smallest of their warrior brethren by far, only 12 inches in length, so the scroll practically dwarfed them as they dragged it along.

"There you are, Haimushi," Jōrō said, pleased.

"Sister wanted me to find this for the human!" Haimushi said, delivering the scroll to Ryuunosuke. If he opened it, it would be a map with several locations marked out. It was not readily apparent where these locations were, as it seemed to have no standard code and had been maintained by one singular man and a group of insects. Still, it seemed obvious that the location was Yuki no Kuni and these were markers, perhaps other places the old master had been.

With some help from cartographers in the village, maybe there would be more interesting things from this katon lord to uncover...

Haimushi crawled up Ryuunosuke's pant leg, trying to get closer to talk.

"I've never met a human we didn't have to defend the nest against before! I'm still an apprentice, but I have a nasty bite..."

Ryuunosuke flashed a smug grin at the little apprentice centipede. Yeah, sure kid. The Chūnin would thing, trying to hide his laughter, he was sure this little bug was more... Bark?... Screech?... Hiss? then bite. But he wouldn't put it past himself for underestimating what the Centipede could do. After all, he kinda underestimated Sepa of being the tank he was. It didn't take long for Akuchū to make the rapid disappearance he was slightly still getting used to from the cacophony of Mukade he has met thus far. Ryuunosuke was partially sure the extra legs may hinder them, so far, that seems far from the truth.

Jōrō's words caused the Nakajima to look around as well, There's another? The young man's thoughts were answered by the arrival of a much smaller Mukade. Haimushi was its name, according to Jōrō. Ryuunosuke wondered how long it'll take him to remember everyone's name. His passing thoughts were interrupted by the presented scroll. Looking at it before bowing his head and grabbing it, the Yuki shinobi unfurled its contents. It looked like a map of Yuki no Kuni, however, the Nakajima couldn't make much more out of it. He was no map expert and he surely didn't know too much about where to go. All he knew is he wouldn't dare show it to Taro or Emiri.

These expeditions were now rightfully his, he just hoped he didn't need the help of others. But if he did, his best bet was to bring a Yuki. They had no real reason to learn Katon. Might be a nice trip with the new lady, but he doubted she'd let him keep these secrets. The less eyes, the bet- Ryuunosuke froze slightly upon feeling Haimushi crawl up his pant leg. Before he could ask what the Mukade was doing, they explained further. The man made a nervous chuckle. "I believe everyone minus me here have a debilitating bite, and I'm pretty sure there's no need to bite me anymore!" He wasn't speaking from certainty, he had no clues how contracts worked. Rather, he was speaking out of fear of not wanting to deal with whatever toxin Mukade were known for. Local stories didn't paint a pretty picture of average bites, so he was terrified of the thought of their bite, especially on him.

"You could say it was more accidental than a direct attack, I came here for my cousin, we just thought of the cavern, we didn't expect walking into a nest." While his words were true, he did pursue more at the thought of more power, and he was sure Sepa won't forgive him too readily for the wounds. Even the team of Chūnin had no jokable synergy, he wasn't sure how quickly the injuries would recover but Sepa... his durability is mind-boggling. The Nakajima continued to look at Haimushi, he could only think of the words as he put the scroll in his pouch.

Nakajima Ryuunosuke

Haimushi noticed Ryuunosuke's tension and found it slightly amusing, letting out a little titter of a laugh that would probably send a shiver up the spine if they were any bigger.

"You don't have to be nervous. We're not fighting anymore, so I'm definitely not going to bite you," they said. "My family wants to train you in our master's arts, which wouldn't be possible if I poisoned you. My poison isn't very deadly anyways..." Just incredibly painful! But Ryuunosuke luckily didn't need to learn about or experience any of that since combat had been called short.

"Sorry that we captured your cousin. We were just trying to protect master's things. This is where he finally passed on to the other side." Which was why they had built their home here in memory of him.

In order to stop stressing Ryuunosuke out, Haimushi scuttled back down his body and up the wall instead.

"He didn't want the wrong person to stumble upon his skills and use them for ill, which is why he had us guard this map and scattered them throughout the lands in difficult-to-find places. He wanted us to make sure that whoever found them deserved them. So hopefully you'll learn them well! I'm still learning, too."

With that introduction made, Haimushi scurried off, leaving Ryuunosuke with just Jōrō again.

I'm gonna watch it burn

The bug was laughing, presumably at the Nakajima's reaction. He wanted to question it but the man was certain if he spoke right now, it'd turn into a panicked yell. In his conflict of wanting to but holding back, Haimushi went on to further explain what's going on. Due to the current ceasefire, the centipede was assuredly not going to bite him. The centipede was right and the Nakajima believed the centipede was underselling itself, but given what he's heard so far about supposed demon gods and seeing a Mukade that definitely appeared like a monster-god, he was pretty sure their bites were so much more intense than average Mukade bites, which already was a nightmare.

The bug apologized again for capturing his cousin. It's fine, she was only missing for a while, we've been fine. Ryuunosuke thought as he waved his hands in a gesture he believed to be read as don't worry. However, he wasn't too sure, reading was a lot more different than practicing it. It was sweet that they built something to honor him as his place of rest, it certainly made Ryuunosuke feel bad about burning a good portion up. No matter how much he enjoyed burning things, there was a clear limit to what should and shouldn't burn. The Nakajima placed gravesites in the do not burn if possible category.

Sadly, the events of today made it not possible, but it was fun... in a very live/die manner for him. Luckily for him, Haimushi receeded from his leg and opted to move onto a wall. That was a relief for him, he trusted the bug wouldn't bite him, but the ever-present danger of saying the wrong thing to warrant it simply terrified him. He needed to learn, really learn, their ways to understand merely half of the appropriate culture to show. The Yuki Shinobi didn't drop his attention, everyone had something important to say and needed to be heard from it.

They say their master didn't want to use it for ill purpose, the adolescent did not know what ill purpose entailed but he aimed to purify Yuki of the ever-constant threat of unsavory characters, if that was ill, then he would use the strength this bunch would give him. He had a conscious, albeit a small one, he had a moral code... but seeing things on fire appeased the combat-oriented Nakajima. He believed Enri would have tried to spread it around the village, that was 'good' but it could more readily fall into the hands of someone in the wrong rather than, well, for good.

The Nakajima was rather happy he came across it rather than others and it seems, so were the centipedes. Haimushi skittered away, leaving the Nakajima with Jōrō. Ryuunosuke turned back to Jōrō, "With this new alliance, when and where do we start? It's about time the country has its guardians back, along with a new... let's call me a master-in-training for the time being. I'm sure everyone here is as eager to get started... along with some new bonds being built." The Nakajima was mainly thinking of Sepa and Ōmukade, he needed to prove just as much, maybe even more so he wasn't just the right candidate, he was the best and only prospect.
