[Nohime Yoshiko]

Today we're making history;

Yoshiko knew there was a new member to the team, but this meeting was a social sort of function. Certainly any early confusion would be answered throughout the course of the Operations team meeting. It's location would be an odd one, as the jounin had rented out a warehouse at the outskirts of the village. Within the room she'd reserved, there'd be three classroom style seat and desks. All three aimed towards a chalkboard at which the jounin now stood. Written on the board was "Iwagakure: Eagle Squad?" It'd seem quite clear eagle squad had been written over something or many other somethings now erased.

The Jounin was dressed in her typical military fatigue, though she lacked her weapons and even the more weighty pieces of armor. Instead she'd be armed with long ruler and a fan in her other hand. The fan was a small hand fan, each side was a different color and had something written. One side stating Yes! the other clearly printed No! The room was poorly lit, well more specifically the lights on were aimed down purely on the jounin and the desks. There was two entrances to the rather large room, neither were all that close to the jounin, as she'd placed all her stuff seemingly dead center the large space.

Directions to and through the warehouse had been sent to all her squad. They'd be told it was an important meeting and be alerted to bring sharp, but open minds. Ryoko and Suika would also be alerted that they'd have the addition of a new teammate. Ryoko hopefully would recognize the name, but other than the chuunin's name, no extra information on or about her was included. There also wasn't any explanation for the team meeting or any context of what'd be about. Akari's message was delivered by none other than a Nohime, so it'd be guaranteed gotten on time. It's verbiage was much clearer on the importance of arriving on time, as her other teammates would know how little the clan princess had free time.

Ryoko streaks her way across the city sky, being far less subtle than most shinobi preferred. Of course, Ryoko was not most shinobi. The young Aihara had a growing reputation for defying expectations, and generally odd behavior. She wouldn’t consider flight to be an odd behavior, but the result of that did lead to her being a bit of a conspicuous fireball heading all the way to the meeting location.

A hundred feet or so off the ground she’s hard to make out with normal eyes, but she’s just a girl with fire shooting out of her feet. On her shoulder rests the Doomstar, the great 4 foot cross of hardened and sharpened steel. The massive shuriken followed her everywhere, though usually at more of a distance. She didn’t want to have to worry about holding it with her clan jutsu, though.

Spying the assigned location below she gives her body a little flip over and points her feet skywards. She doesn’t just fall, she rockets towards the ground at increasingly terrifying speeds. Once she’s near the ground, however, she flips over once more and points her feet down, blasting her jets stronger to bring herself to a quick and steady stop. Then the jets cut off. The soft hiss of her jets cuts off with a little puff of smoke and she drops easily the last couple feet to the ground.

Strings attach to the Doomstar the moment she’s on the ground, but it stays on her shoulder until she reaches the door. Then it slowly and carefully follows her inside. She seeks out whomever else might have arrived before her, as well as Yoshiko sensei.

"Heeellooo?” she calls out as she makes her way to, and eventually into, the meeting room.

Akari was informed in advance whom she would be partnered with. Though she knew one of the names, she did not know the other. Yoshiko's name, however, was a well known one throughout Iwagakure. Mastering Jinton despite being so young was not something that many could brag about. It wasn't a stretch to consider her a prodigy in that sense, and Akari admired that. There wasn't that big a difference in age, too.

Ryoko was the granddaughter of one of the elders, and she was undeniably a wild child. Not that Akari minded that. Though she did harbor envy for Ryoko's skill despite being younger, Akari didn't feel she was weak comparatively either. The two girls hadn't had much of a chance to speak to one another, but Akari had definitely seen her around a few times in the past but heard even more in the clan compound.

Suikazura Kamizura was one that she knew nothing about, however. She knew of the Kamizuru, of course, which gave her an idea of what she might be capable of. But that was just a guess. Even still, she knew she would learn more about the other chuunin soon enough. That was inevitable.

As far as Akari knew, the squad had been summoned on the grounds of a "meet and greet the new girl" sort of thing. She of course being the new girl. But beyond that, Akari had little idea of what was going on. In case there was a test that needed combat though, she had brought with her the various supplies she carried with her, not least of all included Ji and Ten, her prized dao and jian.

The brunette also opted to wear the Iwagakure flak jacket, opting to dress in a more formal manner. She adorned the traditional scarlet top that possessed only a single sleeve and went down past her knees. A piece of deep crimson fabric went down past her jacket covering her left leg. The traditional black sandals were present upon her feet, and she proudly wore the Iwagakure headband across her neck. The brunette opted to let her hair down instead of tying it into a ponytail this time, however, as she normally would.

She was very early, mostly due to a bit of anxiety at play and the pressure she had put on herself when she found out about Ryoko being in this squad. Though she knew she should try to get rid of these butterflies, she couldn't help but be a bit nervous. Ryoko was someone she couldn't afford to disappoint, but more importantly, she couldn't afford to be any less than perfect with another Aihara in the squad. While she doubted Ryoko would care, Akari certainly did.

Akari wondered why they were to meet at a warehouse out past the village, but she could ask that once she arrived if it was necessary to ask at all. Akari made her way through one of the entranceways to arrive in a dark room. Though Yoshiko was clearly visible as were the desks, only more questions were on her mind.

Not long after she arrived, she heard a familiar call before she could properly take in what was visible. "Ah, Ryoko," she said when she saw the younger girl.

As expected, she was heavily armed -- befitting of an Aihara. Did that mean some combat was likely to happen? She wasn't sure. Not knowing what to expect in moments like this was always stressful, for a variety of reasons.

When she glanced towards Yoshiko, she noticed that she was dressed representing the village. The chalkboard behind her and three desks reminded her of the academy days, but she had long since graduated from the academy. Akari tilted her head, confused about what was going on here. There was also the writing of eagle squad. The Aihara had more questions, but the third was likely to be here at any moment if she wasn't already. The questions she had would be answered soon enough.

[Suikazura]

She wasn't feeling very singular today. That was to say, Suikazura hadn't wanted to leave her home in the clan compound with just herself having been quite lonely the night before she had split to give herself some form of companionship in herself. No one knew Sui like Kazura, and no one knew Kazura like Sui. Afterall they were one and the same, two halves of a whole taht was truly unquestionable. Dressed in casual clothing due to being told this wasn't an outdoor training, the two had dressed in mirroring kimono patterned in honey-suckle patterns. Thew patterns while reversed, shared the same slumped free arm that would hang out along with the bandages that she wore to wrap her chest.

Ryoko had no appreciation for the finer things such as clothing, and she doubted either her new teammate or the old one's had much of a stomach for delicacies since they hadn't grown up eating scraps from the store their family ran... family ran... no they just hadn't grown up in the slums that was all. Leaving with a basket for lunch the two would make their way out of the compound making sure to wave good bye to the photos in their home. They would quietly make guesses to their new teammate. Were they a boy, or a girl? Both? Neither? Did they use tools too? Or did they focus on illusions? Were they stronger? That last question would get the two girl's with dead almost black-brown eyes to smile and move faster across the town as a whole to the meeting place.

Entering with little hesitation Sui would lean in and wave as she entered, completely disregarding a verbal greeting for a visual greeting as they looked over Ryoko, Yoshiko, and then finally Akari. Kazura was the polar opposite, coughing as they entered, "Hello Hello! Yoshiko-Sensei, Ryoko-San, and, I presume, Akari-San? I'm Kamizuru Kazura and she's Kamizuru Sui. We'll be in your care from now on!"

[Nohime Yoshiko]

Today we're making history;

"Ah, Akari! You're the first to arrive quite the pleasant first impression." Yoshiko would praise, as the new teammate surely wouldn't be the most comfortable. They'd have to get used to new people, whereas Yoshiko and everyone else knew each other for over a year now. Welcoming the newbie to the team with the warmest of signature smiles, as the jounin expected her disciple would be next to arrive. The likely second best expert in the topic that'd be at hand. However this would be a team building exercise in the weirdest of manners.

"Timely arrival Ryoko! You've gotten quite fast in your aerodynamics." Again the jounin would praise, as to not let any of her students felt unappreciated. It was however also a showing of her sensory skill, a perhaps subtle nod to avoid the extremely typical questions. She had such a skill of it she was fairly capable discerning the elements at work too. Katon was an interesting method to propel oneself, it did however seem a bit dangerous, but that was the irrational thoughts of someone who'd been burned pretty bad once.

Finally Suikazura would arrive or well it'd be, Sui and Kazura. A foreseeable twist of an introduction, but at least it'd make the jounin feel less weird about their coming team building exercise. "Stupendous, you've all exceeded my expectations with such prompt arrival times! Kudos all around." Yoshiko would announce giving a very active round of applause to the large dark room they'd sat. It'd echo a decent bit, but not too bad.

"First of all, I'd like to introduce you all to Aihara Akari our newest team member." Yoshiko would take control of the room as quickly as she could. She was the team leader and as Suikazura and Ryoko knew a very busy individual. "If there's anything you'd like to ask each other, I'm opening the floor to that now, but I would like us to move to this meetings subject matter as quickly as possible." The Nohime would explain, as she'd wait patiently for everyone to get their curious questions and comments out the way. She was more than ready to reply or any questions aimed at her too, but she'd otherwise wait for everyone to settle in to a desk.

"Hey Akari.” Ryoko addresses her cousin with a grin and little tip of her head. The two girls weren’t strangers, but they weren’t close friends just yet either. Still, being Aihara alone meant she had all of Ryo’s trust without even asking for it. If there was anything she loved more than her village, it was her clan.

She scoots in further as everyone seems to be present, giving herself a little space and drawing the great sharp shuriken along with her. Once there’s room a little wiggle of her index finger brings the weapon to rest in front of her, its tip pressing a little scratch into the floor at her feet. She offers Yoshiko a smile and slightly more exaggerated bow than she gave Akari.

"Morning, sensei, it’s nice to be getting together. Not just fast, I’m getting pretty good at agility too. It’s way different from being a bird, pretty crazy. One of these days you and I are gonna have to have a race across the city. Feel like I’m faster than you... ”

She trails off some, her grin growing wider below her hood, and taking on a rathe familiar, if mischievous, edge to it. She turns her eyes over to the Suikas, her right hand lifting to wiggle a few fingers in greeting. "Suikas..." she says, addressing her in plural.  "Nice to be seeing you again, as well. I hope you've been doing alright.”

Her eyes flit over to the door again, one body missing. C’est la vie. The archer would be missed, but sometimes teams changed. Just how it was. Now she had a new team mate, and a relative at that. Her eyes flit back over to Yoshi.

"So what’s the summons for? We have some work to do, or is this just to get to know Akari? Cause I'd love to go smash some things, ya know.. They keep telling me not to do that around here..”

When she saw that genuine smile upon Yoshiko's face, she couldn't help but be a little surprised. It wasn't that it was offputting; she had known in advance that the squad leader was known as the "Smile of Iwagakure", and she knew how she got that name. She was a genuinely cheerful person. However, often she heard about how gloomy this profession was. They were soldiers, after all. Had she not lost anyone close to her? Was it due to the overwhelming strength that came from her clan's kekkai genkai? Or was it just her own natural talent as a shinobi?

In any case, Akari couldn't help but find it much more relaxing. Even if she couldn't imagine smiling in that same sincere way that Yoshiko was demonstrating right now if she became as strong as she was, it also made her feel a little more at ease. If someone could rise to such a substantial spot as Yoshiko had and maintain such a genuine smile, then maybe she could, too. After all, a smile was much more reassuring than complaints. She wanted to take that approach, too. But the stories she had heard about Yoshiko as well as what she had heard about the Nohime clan...

No, there was no point in getting overwhelmed! That was part of why there were these teams to begin with. While they wouldn't need to put together training meetings like they were genin, there was still a type of training she could do and benefit form this. She just needed to focus on it. Akari was about to comment on her new leader's welcome, when Ryoko showed up.

Yoshiko was quick to praise her for her agility and aerodynamics, something that Akari wished that the other would slow down with. That sort of wild nature was unbecoming of one from their clan, after all. But far be it for her to tell the heir to the Aihara clan's primary lead how she should or shouldn't behave. Besides, ultimately Akari knew that Ryoko was strong, and her skill with their clan's hijutsu surpassed her own, as much as she wished she didn't have to admit that.

Akari greeted her cousin when she arrived with a smile. It'd been awhile since they had last seen one another as well. However, their greeting was short lived as she immediately talked to Yoshiko. And not long after that, there was the arrival of the third person. And...fourth?

Akari tilted her head when she saw the strange Kamizuru twins approach. She was quick to introduce herself. Well, both of them? Akari was still trying to process what she was seeing. As far as she knew, there was only four people in this team. However, not wishing to stare and think on it too long at the expense of looking like a fool, she smiled and waved at the two. "Mhm. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kazura-san. Sui-san,'" she said, showing off her more well behaved mannerisms -- in stark contrast to her cousin who had just mentioned wanting to go out and beat things up, and a fact that Akari had chosen to ignore for her own personal sanity.

"I'll have to make sure to show off how skilled I am just so you can rest assured when I'm around then," she said with a smile.

Yoshiko set the floor so that questions could be asked, and Akari fidgeted a little bit. Was it okay to ask? She looked towards the twins, then back at Yoshiko. This sort of thing wasn't exactly usual, was it? Even if they were twins, to have both placed on the same squad was a little...

Ultimately, Akari's curiosity got the best of her. "...I apologize if this is rude, but uhm. I was under the impression this was a four man squad. While extra hands are never bad, is there a particular reason why there are two of you?"

it was clear she didn't want to ask given her slow and deliberate way of speaking, pausing every so often until she got to the actual point.

[Suikazura]

Sui and Kazura shared a look as they both looked over to their new teammate with a genuine smile glowing on their faces. They had managed to do exactly as they were hoping, and they would cut in before anyone else could explain the situation, "We're twins obviously!"

"Don't you know?" Sui would ask in an exasperated tone that was far too dramatic to be serious in any regard.

"Twins count as one person according to Operation Codes for Shinobi Conduct!" Kazura would answer the question with almost no delay in between the two's speech patterns.

"I thought that was a known ruse?" Sui would then ask with a snicker to her counterpart.

"Of course it is, we wanted to lighten the mood!" The second clone would respond two the first.

"Consider this a trick of sorts. We are originally one, but we have a perference for being like this. We can always recombine, but it can be really annoying. Mostly because this is us revealing the big 'secret' to you now!" The two would speak switching off with absolute precision. Being the same person often meant the two thought on the same sort of metric, and it lead to the two having conversations like the one that was being had now.

"We are a user of the Splitting Technique, Heki no Jutsu, neither of us is fake, but in a way we both aren't real either. We, like everyone here except Sensei, too our knowledge, focus on tactics and weaponry. Though we are more of a utility type than offense. We're also good with honey and suiton!" Sui would state with a smile towards the girl in front of her. Even as the youngest member of the team Suika showed little hesitation in doing what she wanted or reacting how she was told to most of the time. So it came as no surprise when being direct was her answer to Akari's questioning.

[Nohime Yoshiko]

Today we're making history;

"Oh, if you think so, then we definitely have to test that theory out. If you've surpassed my speeds, then I'll have to start learning new jutsu too!" Any question could be answered through ninjutsu, it was a built-in belief for the jounin. She like much of the village wasn't religious, but what she could have faith in was skill and those willing to share it among their lot. To her the village was the most important spread of her 'inclusive' family. She was proud of the Nohime specifically, but she was nationalist engrained in the military. This team of hers almost accentuated that fact too. Two Aihara? A Nohime with the weighted rock package and then Suikazura with her splitting technique.

The jounin couldn't be more proud as the room 'filled' with her team, she'd feel a mostly positive vibe emanate from her team. This was the best, but the team would start to gather a collective confusion. "Uh-unless you mean smashing out ideas, then sadly this meeting isn't really about either. It's actually more in line with how you've gotten here." Yoshiko would explain feeling a sort of side conversation drawn between her and Ryoko, as Akari started to acclimate themselves with Suikazura's regular antics.

The team needed to have a focus and common goal though, so clearing her throat Yoshiko would raise a hand and sort of wave in everyone's attention. "Everyone if you can please do settle in, it's time the team gets to business. As you know me and Ryoko possess the ability to impart weightlessness onto each other and objects, we've used a boat once and I definitely didn't crash it in that violent storm last week. B-But it got me thinking, a boat wasn't built for the air, so maybe if we put our heads together we can come up with something that is!" The jounin would explain excitedly.

Due to some talks in the background, I think it might be smart nothing comes of this thread. That stated, I am going to roll with the idea and we can more or less use this as a character introductions and such.

Her eyes flit back over to Akari for a moment, grinning some as she gets acquainted with Suika. She was an odd one. Not more so than Ryoko, of course, both of the kunoichi were just very weird in their own particular way. Of course, so was Akari. Then again, Ryoko had little mind for formalities. She was brash, and it had only gotten worse since she first put on her cowl.

"Oh wow.." She mutters some as she gives a little gesture with her left hand. Her Doomstar settles down gently against a wall, leaning somewhere safe. Flying things, huh? She had herself to fly, she didn't need more, but she had to admit the idea had struck her before. Not just because of the flying boat, either.

"I mean it sounds cool, but you mean just for us? I admit I've had to wonder more than once what it'd be like to have a flying house. Or a flying castle. A flying castle would be really great, but I don't have that sort of chakra capacity."

She gives a little no, pulling her legs up onto the seat and sitting cross legged in it. She reaches a hand up to touch her chin, growing somewhat ponderous as she does. Chakra capacity aside, having a floating castle did strike her as pretty amazing. Then, like some manner of turtle, she could always bring her home with her. Then again.. being home was.. eh..

"Or like.. just the entire top of a mountain, trees and all. Portable forest, can we do that?"

She looks back up at the group, then over to Yoshiko a little curiously. She definitely liked the idea of having trees around.
