Ema (絵馬 | Votive) Catch'em All CLAN TYPE: Hijutsu CLAN ORIGIN: Bonchi no Kuni CLAN RESIDENCE: All major and minor villages CLAN IDEOLOGY Ema are first and foremost animal lovers. They feel a strong connection and empathy to  all animals,  and will always attempt to be kind to them. It doesn't matter if they're wild or domesticated, Ema will always try to befriend any animal they come across, even if it puts their life in danger. Should they need to defend themselves against a vicious creature, they will first try to capture or disable them and if that's not possible, the very last resort is to kill them. To kill an animal for a Ema is a great sin and often than not they will be haunted by memories of it or become severely depressed. Most Ema feel a sense of duty to care for animals, which in many cases leads them to become veterinarians. An Ema would stop in the middle of their travels if they come across an injured animal, and care for them until they are fully healed. This almost always means their place of residence is inundated with a random assortment of animals they've found needing a home. If an animal needs constant care, becomes domesticated or befriends them, an Ema will form extremely strong bonds with them. This leads to the Ema seeing them as an equal, treating them as if they were human. Some Ema even treat their familiars better than their human peers. CLAN ABILITIES Onajimi no Fuuintama [Beast Sealing Ball]  A device created by their founder Ema, Ashu to catch and transport creatures of interest. It was adapted to combat not long after by his son. The design is highly coveted by the clan, and only the highest ranking clan members know the secret to its creation. The balls themselves are roughly palm sized, or 4 inches in diameter. They are often red and white in appearance with a black ring spilting the colors horizontally, however this is not always the case, and some users paint theirs different colors. There is also a small white button on the black ring which opens the ball. Inside, the ball is hollow with a fuuninjutsu unique to the clan on the upper halve. Once open, the clan member says the word "capture" and the fuuninjutsu will activate, causing rays of bright light to shine from the kanji. This bright light, travels around 3 meters in the direction the seal is pointing and any creature caught in it is sealed within the fuuninjutsu. The ball then closes, and locks. Capture does not always succeed however as the creature inside can break free from the seal, should they wish to escape. Thus it is necessary for the clan member to either weaken the creature enough or tame them before attempting a capture. Releasing is as simple as opening a ball with a captured familiar inside, and saying the word "Release", a few moment later the captured creature appears in the bright light. Beast Masters Ema follow the familiar rules; however they are limited to the amount of beast sealing balls they can have in their inventory at any given rank.
