Daichi, interestingly, didn't backpeddle. He was still asked to look away as their instructor explained what he was doing. He did as instructed, despite the fact that he was a little irritated by the fact that he didn't get Daichi to second guess himself. He did, however, repeat himself. They'd already been over how to do it, they really just needed a demonstration but that wasn't entirely an option. All he was really doing was talking them through it. It was way too repetitive for Dansui’s liking. But, he wasn't here to have fun. He was here to learn from this incompetent teacher. 

He did give some decent advice though, it was best to keep a kunai within reach in preparation for these types of situations. It was a lot easier to cut a rope than wiggle out of it. He kept going on and on with talking them through it until finally, he was out. Dansui had a slight idea to keep looking behind to give Daichi difficulty every few seconds. Keep him in the rope perpetually. But the longer he was tied the longer the boy had to be here, so he decided against it.

Dansui gave the man a nod to signal that he could tie him up. Once Daichi looked away, the boy would start. He sent chakra throughout his upper and lower body, to the joints in particular. He could already feel his increased flexibility as he began to wiggle his way out. After around thirty seconds, he was free. "Anything else?" He'd ask, hoping for a simple no and to be dismissed.

Dansui was silent as Daichi continued his lecture, which he took as a good sign. He was probably engrossed by what he was learning just like Daichi had been in the academy, and the memory of how Tota had looked at him when he made his first truly successful shuriken throw was bright and warm in his mind’s eye. He would never want to leave his position by the Mizukage’s side, but in another life, maybe, he could have been a good academy instructor… At least, until he got out of the rope and saw the bored, glazed-over expression on Dansui’s face, and his pride burst like a popped balloon. Daichi sighed, tied the boy up, and turned his back. "It’s okay if you’re having a hard time with it,” Daichi said after a moment, without turning around, though his tone was notably more lackluster than it had been previously. "Just let me know if you have any questions, I can talk you throu—” He heard the tell-tale sound of the rope thumping to the floor, and turned around to see one successfully liberated academy student. "—oh.” ’Anything else?’ "No,” Daichi said with a long, heavy sigh. "You’re dismissed, guys. Good work today.” After Dansui left, Daichi would slap his hands gently against his cheeks, trying to bolster his own spirits. It hadn’t been that bad, he tried to reassure himself… at least the boys had actually learned something. [fin.]

The man said he'd explain it as he did the technique, but he still didn't really give an answer to Dansui's question. They'd already discussed why it wouldn't work with an enemy watching, but it didn't make sense if it was someone that was on your side. Then, if two people were tied up together, neither could escape. And thus, Dansui was no longer engaged. 

He explained the steps of the technique, which Dansui already knew. Get more flexible through the use of chakra, twisting your wrists and wiggling your body until you could start picking at the rope in some fashion. 

Eventually, Daichi escaped the rope they'd tied, though it took him a lot longer than Dansui would've thought. The boy stayed turned around, sitting in his chair. He consented to being tied up before starting his own process of escaping the generator. He started by flowing chakra into his wrists and expanding slowly from there. softening the nearby joints before going for the farther ones, loosening them up and gaining more flexibility over time. After about forty seconds of writhing in the rope, he had picked at it enough to untie the knot. 

As boring as the lesson was, he didn't wanna leave on too bad of a note, so he gave Daichi a simple. "Thanks." Before he took his leave.
