It is no surprise that the Yamakira are able to mould their bodies with the element of Doton superior to any other Shinobi: Hotarubi is no different. His ability to mould his body is unparalleled, allowing him to compact even more earth into his body, increasing his weight.

Hotarubi is capable of forming his body into various shapes and sizes with extreme speed - using their hijutsu's minimal chakra usage in order to do so, allowing Hotarubi to perform feats of swift Nintaijutsu.

Earth Emperor's Domain

Hotarubi's dedication to the Doton element is anything but elementary. It is to the point of stalwart domination of the art. Because of this, an extension of his earth body and earth Sensitive Touch has elevated his Doton abilities.

Equal to his Sensitive Touch's passive sense range Hotarubi can form Doton ninjutsu in that area as opposed from himself provided the area has usable earth material (rock, mud, earth, etc) and use that to attack from. Where a projectile naturally projects from elsewhere: an obelisk in the shape of Hotarubi will rise from the earth with its palm outstretched and perform the technique, before returning to the earth. Naturally, this slows down the process of techniques being performed. Not by a great deal: but when Shinobi move as fast as they do, every second counts.

He is still a student but is showing admirable determination in spite of waning chakra reserves. Can he do it?

learning the basics RANK OF TRAINING: E RANK OF SHINOBI: Yamakira, Hotarubi JUTSU BEING LEARNED: Transformation technique CANON OR REGISTERED: Canon SENSEI BONUS: N LINK TO THREAD: Days of our lives DESCRIPTION: Hotarubi has not in time learned how to correctly manifest and move his chakra within his own body (which seems strange, given his Hijutsu) but is using it as a springboard exercise in order to make way for the future, and how to better control his own chakra by the use of maintaining the transformation techinque for a period of time. A thread based over the events of a week or so.

Spread over the weekend when school is out his first day is filled with some taijutsu and philosophy, while his second day is spent at the Academy, taking a more general holistic approach, and trying to ready himself for the upcoming exams.

But, it is at least coming to fruition when it comes to his pop-quizzes in the academy.

But, today is more of a practical application of that learning and he puts it into practise, reflecting on how far he had come from his title as the King of Ruffians: knowing he can be better than he was.
