Mako had originally been assigned to cleanup of the massive spider that had been spotted in the Northeastern area of Nohara no Kuni. It had been assumed that the Lord Hisakawa and the shinobi that had been sent with him would be more than enough to handle the spider itself, but the cleanup of such a massive body and the creature's potential nest was expected to be another job entirely. The young Hono didn’t want to miss an opportunity to see such a massive spider in action though, so he had left incredibly early with hopes of watching the fight between two shinobi and a massive frickin spider.
Once he had arrived in the small village of Shōwa, Mako would make the necessary hand signs before biting his thumb and summoning Hanatarō who had excellent tracking capabilities. Without much fanfare, he’d crouch down to be almost at the young lion’s level to explain things. "Hey there buddy, I’m trying to find Lord Hisakawa and his friend. They’re supposed to be fighting a giant spider somewhere around here. Once we get close you’re gonna have to go home though, the spider is probably incredibly dangerous.” Hanatarō would give a quick nod as he smelled the air and pointed in the direction that the two had left the village.
Mako would quickly pick up Hanatarō under one arm, and start racing off in the direction that he’d just been pointed in by the young cat. By the time he started approaching the area he’d spot a glint of metal being thrown into the air, before looking down at Hanatarō who would give a nod confirming that they had indeed made it to the correct place. Once the cub disappeared in a puff of smoke, the young shinobi would move at a moderate pace, hiding behind the occasional tree or in some tall grass in an attempt to remain unspotted. He would just barely get within eyesight of the massive hole in the ground before the Kunai crashed loudly into the ground.
While the crash itself had definitely startled Mako, it was what happened next that caught both him and Yamato off guard. A massive eight legged creature sprung out of the massive hole with inhuman speed. It locked onto Lord Hisakawa immediately and smacked him back with a single leg. The event itself seemed to have knocked Lord Hisakawa unconscious and forced Mako to make a quick split second decision. Did he wait things out or play the hero on a mission he wasn’t even supposed to be on? Screw it, he thought. With a single hand sign, he quickly utilized the Shunshin technique to jump to Lord Hisakawa’s side and say, "Yoink,” out loud as he picked up the limp body and started back-tracking away from the spider.
The spider, who didn’t want to lose his snack, quickly started going on the offensive and chasing the young shinobi further away from his hole. Given the predicament he was in Mako would shout as he scrambled to duck, dip, dive, and dodge the spider's massive legs and pincers to avoid becoming lunch, "OOOOHHH GOD! PLEASE GET HIM OFF ME! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!” If he could just get a moment's reprieve to set the body weighing him down onto the ground away from the spider it’d be so much easier to give a helping hand; but setting him down right now would practically be the same as sacrificing him to become an appetizer.
Jutsu:NAME: Kuchiyose no Jutsu [Summoning Technique] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low - Very High depending on summon. CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [General] ELEMENT: None HANDSEALS: 5 DESCRIPTION:One of the most common and beneficial techniques in the known shinobi world. Simply drawing blood and releasing a mass of chakra from one's extended hand is capable of calling an animal or otherwise to one's location. As a Space-Time Ninjutsu, this technique is capable of instantly displacing an intended summon from wherever they may be to the requested location, though there are obstacles that can prevent this. To use this jutsu, one must first make a contract with whatever they are summoning, living creature or not. Both the size and the stamina of what a shinobi calls upon increases the demand of chakra they must spend to perform the jutsu. NAME: Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [General] ELEMENT: None HANDSEALS: 1 DESCRIPTION:By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation. Summon:NAME: Hanatarō ELEMENT: Doton TYPE: Lion RANK: D APPEARANCE:Hanatarō is a lion cub whose fur takes a dark brown color with his underbelly taking a lighter shade of brown. All and all, he resembled a normal lion cub. PERSONALITY:Personality wise, Hanatarō is a carefree and playful lion cub. Sure of himself, he presents himself with pride of being one of the sons of the chief lion of the pride. However this often leads him in trouble as he has barely begun to make forays into battle, more often than not training with his siblings. ABILITIES:Tracker: Even at their young age, Hanatarō has distinguished himself for his acute sense of smell.
