"Takato!!”

Yusei could squint at the sprays of blood, but no more. Takato dashed to and fro, before settling down where he did initially. Takato's seal was applied, pulling down as Yusei pulled up. The spider's head bowed, and the body slowly buckled.

Yusei thought about it for a second. His plan then was to keep pulling up. Yusei raised his hand, causing that off-white chakra to pool in his hand again. He brought his hand down, pulling the spider's insides up as its outside fell.

The spider buckled, eventually flattening and splaying its limbs out. These two were really drawing it out. Yusei paused for a second. While he had somewhat large chakra reserves, especially in the sun, pausing so he didn't "tear a muscle" was necessary. He then slowly worked out some new seals. Serpent. Hare. Dragon. "Keisei Jūryoku."

The downward pull was increased, rendering the spider immobile. It didn't keel over and die yet, but its limbs were unusable. Yusei held the Dragon seal again, squeezing down against the ground even more. Eventually the head started cracking. While he could barely muster words, his hands covered in off-white chakra-veins, Yusei looked up and saw Takato's shredded hands. "...Takato. Are you okay?"

Degloved. He’d learned the term somewhere, undoubtedly from some med-nin seminar that he’d struggled to pay attention to, but it was a visceral word for a visceral situation. It was difficult to look at, now that it had happened to him. He cradled his arm to his chest protectively, but he seemed to otherwise not be paying it any mind: his attention was drawn to what Yusei was doing atop the spider’s head. The veins of chakra crackling up Yusei’s hands looked otherworldly, and Takato could hear the strain in his voice, see the twinges of concerted effort in his face. "'M fine,” came his soft reply, wheezing gently. "Be careful. Don’t strain yourself.” The spider was keening even as its carapace began to crack. Taka felt nauseated, his head spinning, but he pushed himself onward regardless: Yusei had come through for him at a critical moment, and Taka was determined to repay the favor. Slowly and clumsily with his non-dominant hand, he carved the great expansion seal into a kunai with a chakra-laced fingertip, imbuing as much chakra as he could muster into the seal—then flung it at the spider’s open mandibles, wrenching his shredding hand upwards to painfully form just one more handseal and forcing the kunai to balloon to five meters in size just as it flew into the creature’s maw.

Chakra is released into the tip of one's finger, increasing its temperature as a small flame-like discharge is generated. This allows one to write upon almost any surface and leave a scar-like mark, working to inscribe the formula of seals or write messages if a writing utensil is not readily available.

DESCRIPTION:
A rudimentary technique where the user inscribes a small seal upon any palm sized or smaller inanimate object. Once activated by a single ram seal the object expands exponentially in size based upon the amount of chakra the user puts into the seal. This happens only for a brief duration (1 post) before the object returns back to its original size in a puff of white smoke.

Medium (3m - 5m)

Don't strain yourself. He was so ready to destroy himself, and yet such a worrywort. Such a mom about these things. Yusei had to suppress a smirk as Takato warned him. In either case, a glance down at his hand made it clear that this was serious.

He held that dragon seal a little longer, hearing the pops of carapace giving in. All the while, Takato prepared his seal, casting a kunai directly in the maw that he tried so hard to clamp shut. Like he'd planned earlier with Takato's other fuinjutsu, the spider's head being pushed, pulled, and twisted eventually caused a loud crunch.

With that, with the light leaving its eyes, Yusei leapt off its head, landing with a knee, palm, and foot on the ground. He looked up, slowly rising to his feet infront of Takato. His tired, half-lidded expression returned, coming down from that adrenaline high right away. "We can report this later. You need medical attention."

Perhaps testament to the amount of pain he was in that his synapses were not firing correctly: it was only after the kunai left his hand that he realized that whatever ninjutsu Yusei was using was compacting the spider’s caparace, forcing it to collapse in on itself, and thus narrowing the potential opening his kunai had to fly through. He was fortunate in both his precision and in Yusei helpfully crippling the creature, and there was a small gap that the kunai managed to sink into before he ballooned it outward with the fuinjutsu technique. The horrible keening abruptly ceased, and the spider collapsed, now entirely dead. Taka swayed on his feet, scrubbing at his eyes with his good hand. In another state he might have protested his need for medical attention, not wanting to waste resources on something that would heal on its own, but he was pragmatic enough to recognize this was not an option in this case. He nodded to Yusei, following his direction like a lamb being shepherded out to pasture. "We need to make sure Lord Hisakawa is safe first,” he said, "then we can go.” Mako’s trail was easy to follow, however, and it was clear from the evidence surrounding the battlefield that he had carted the young Kusa Lord safely back to the village. "Thank you for coming to help,” Taka murmured, his gratitude clear and earnest. "I don’t think I could have done this without you.” Once his concern for Yamato was sated, he would be content to follow Yusei’s direction—sharing his bottle of yocha with the other man as they journeyed back home. The spider's mewling drew to a close. The two of them effectively smashed its head, causing a sickening crunch. Yusei dispelled his field with a Rabbit seal, before he dismounted. Had he forgot, he'd definitely hurt Takato and kill atleast one bird in flight.

At Takato mentioning it, Yusei glanced around the field. He'd likely have to squint to see Lord Hisakawa, at this point. The fact that he wasn't present, and Yusei didn't see a big smear of blood on the grass was a good sign. "...I think Lord Hisakawa is gonna be fine."

He felt, weirdly enough, like he clicked with him already. That murmur that almost got swallowed by the breeze was like his. Yusei, similarly, felt like he had to downplay it. "You looked like you knew what you were doing."

A sign of confidence in him? In either case, his walk home with Takato was a quiet one. Yusei kept one hand hovering over his pouch, on the offchance that he'd need a blood-pill.
