He cringed a bit internally at his own attempt at being poetic. He basically welcomed the new sensations that came after the ringing bell that distracted him from the conversation. It felt like there was something wrapped around his feet, like an old ball and chain. He felt immobilized, and basically was despite knowing that it was a genjutsu that had been cast.

"I suppose this one is somewhat obvious. There is nothing that has made contact with my legs and nothing visual to see, just a feeling of being weighed down. I might still think to look for a fuinjutsu seal first or look for wounds on my leg that might indicate a poison.”

His first instinct was to stab something into his palm, but he knew that in this case the lesson was to learn about escaping them the right way. He looked to Benjiro for guidance.
