Miroru sat on the side of the pond speaking to absolutely nobody, just getting in practice sounding in charge and official. For the Justice Scouts! It was important that everyone have faith that she know what she's talking about. Even when she doesn't.

ESPECIALLY when she doesn't.

"Field-sourced underwater breathing apparatus- check!" She'd learned the hard way that you had to actually do a little work to make the reed breathable.

"Camoflage- check!" That was just a bunch of reed leaves strapped to the reed.

"Water-prepped equipment package- check!" Was it just a set of practice shuriken in a taped-up lunchbox? Sure was. But it'd do the job.

"Target-"

Miroru scampered down the bank to peer at the dock and see if her target was still present. Sure enough... still right there.

"-confirmed in position. Infiltration operation: initiate!"

Scurrying back to her equipment, Miroru grabbed her "kit" and her breathing reed and hopped into the pond, shorts and all (she left her shoes and socks behind, at least) and began to sneak her way towards her target underwater. It was... REALLY slow going, but it helped sell the illusion that maybe the clump of pondgrass had always been that close as she snuck closer and closer to the dock...

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

Things had taken another drastic turn in the girl’s life, but this time for the better. Passing the exams with flying colors, being acknowledged by her clan, and having such wonderful people in her corner such as Kazuto, Hiruko, and Issei..it made the girl want to clean up her personality a bit and encouraged her to try new things, expanding her horizons.

It’d been around 2 weeks since she had gotten released from the hospital. Suffering from severe burns, it was advised that she took it easy for a month or two. But Kazui had no idea what that meant in the slightest. The teen found herself at the pond, still with bandages wrapped around her arm completely and even some wrapped around her stomach and neck as well. An old fishing rod in her grasp with a bucket of worms placed to one side of her and a rather sadly empty bucket positioned on the other side.

"Gotcha!” She spoke as she felt a tug on the line. Spinning the reel fiercely, she used all of her power to lift the fish from the pond which caused the line to snap and sent Kazui flying backwards onto her bottom. "Damn it.” She whispered to herself, gently punching her hand against the wooden dock with a slight look of disappointment on her face.

"You can come out anytime, you know. I’m not dumb.”

Her soft spoken tone had a bit of sass behind it. Kazui was a natural when it came to these sorts of things, as she wasn’t the type to easily overlook things or not pay attention to her surroundings. Grabbing a handful of worms from her bucket, she’d toss them onto the pond grass that seemed to keep inching closer and closer, to see if it got a reaction from the "grass.”

The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including the user, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, the user can perceive its location and movement with great detail.

Little Know It All - Extreme Intelligence
It was no secret that Kazui was regarded as a scholar when she was in the academy. One of the smartest in her class, the Uchiha often found herself correcting and/or helping out people older than herself. Many considered her very intellectual then, but that was just only the surface of her potential. Now, the girl is regarded as a genius, her IQ is nothing to be taken lightly or to be taken for granted, even as a young chunin. The teen possesses amazing mental capacity, is able to concentrate flawlessly even in the heat of battle, can calculate things in her head with great speed, and is able to remember many things with perfect recollection, even if it’s just useless information that is meant to be disregarded. In addition to that, Kazui is very deductive, competent, and witted. Her mind is the most dangerous weapon she possesses for many reasons. The girl is highly alert, aware, and very analytical, and she is also very ingenious and is capable of thinking outside of the box as well. Not only is she capable of reading, analyzing, and breaking down a person’s fighting style, but she can also determine what kind of person they are just by the way they speak, the way they carry themselves, and their thoughts on certain things. While doing this, it’s incredibly difficult to deceive the girl, especially if one is not skilled in the art of deception. Furthermore, Kazui can formulate numerous plans to certain situations in mere seconds. She thinks 10 steps ahead, and always has a back up plan just incase.

Gone In The Wind - Blistering Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

The Minimalist - Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: Two Tomoe Sharingan
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess and use to its complete and full potential when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Two tomoe grants the user the eye of hypnotism, while in turn increasing the previous abilities that the ‘Eye of Insight’ grants. The girl’s precognition and perception is heightened well beyond what’s achievable by even the most skilled and elite shinobi, allowing her more of a predictive insight on her opponent as well as the world around her. In terms of her being able to track extremely fast objects and people alike, the eye also allows a natural reactive ability that helps her respond more accurately than a single tomoe could ever allow. As for the ability to see chakra, with a second tomoe the smallest and most faint sources of chakra can easily be spotted by the eye without any issue at all. Assigning color and analyzing the flow of the chakra, Kazui can tell which nature is going to be used as well as where the chakra will be coming from.

Kazui is one quick girl, which isn’t hard to tell. Thanks to her training, the girl has amazing agility and reflexes that allow her to keep herself out of harms way. Even without her sharingan being active, Kazui possesses sharp perceptive abilities and reflexes that allows her to become an escape artist of some sort as well as a complete nuisance to those trying to fight her. The girl’s reaction speed is superb and not to be taken lightly as it is, however, when the dojutsu is active, taking into account the girl’s great speed and adding her keen reflexes into the mix, it’s capabilities are much more potent and useful to the Uchiha. With this, not only is Kazui capable of keeping track of even the most renowned speediest opponents and attacks, the girl is able to keep up with, and react to them as well with relative ease.

Wake Up To Reality - KME Genjutsu Prowess
As an Uchiha it is believed that Kazui and many of her clanmen were born with a natural affinity for the art of genjutsu, but of course none of it can ever come to fruition if there is no effort placed behind it. However, since she was constantly reminded by those around her about that fact, the girl began to focus on the art more than ever before.

Although her illusions do become much more elaborate, less flawed in a certain sense, and stronger, the true results come more in the form of defending herself against genjutsu. Her vast knowledge of the art as well as her training and extremely high sensory capabilities allow for the Uchiha’s escape efforts to be significantly stronger than it normally is, allowing her to free herself from genjutsu up to 1 rank above what she is typically capable of via the special ability granted to the Uchiha with The Sharingan’s genjutsu escape. It should be noted however that genjutsu reversal does not receive any additional boosts from this ability.

Sleight of Hand - Seals Master
As Kazui grew older and gained more experience and familiarity with the ninja arts, the girl’s chakra control had essentially been mastered along with her speed and accuracy with forming hand-seals. Countless of hours spent training, learning, and even creating new jutsu has made the girl grow familiar with every seal needed to perform any jutsu, every motion for every combination, her body absorbed and memorized - allowing her to flow through the motions with no given thought or effort. Her speed with forming these seals is insanely quick and precise, she’s even capable of stringing together the lengthiest combinations of hand seals and casting jutsu faster than most can even dream of keeping up with, making it appear as if she hadn’t even tried to use any hand-seals to begin with. Her vast knowledge and familiarity with sealing in addition to her refined chakra control has lead her to being able to utilize only a single hand to form a seal as well, though she only does this under certain circumstances.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Miroru shot out of the water immediately at the storm of worms, shrieking and slapping the water with her lunchbox and camo-reed alike. "GROSSGROSSGROSSGROSSGROSS!!! What sort of horrible fiend are you, Kazui-chan?! I don't even get the dignity of death by combat?! You're gonna kill me with WORMS?! AM I A JOKE TO YOU?!" She wailed as she scrambled out of the water, sopping wet and completely unconcerned about it. "I'm gonna make you acknowledge me one day! We'll- I dunno, do a serious fight and I'll totally win and you'll have to take me to go get takoyaki!!!"

Grumbling, sopping wet, and dripping everywhere, Miroru flopped onto the sun-warmed dock behind Kazui and groused. "I thought that through so well, too. I packed shuriken for use in an ambush, and I totally took my time on the approach. What gave me away, huh?! You've got OUR eyes, not Awooga-sensei's spooky ghost eyes, you're not supposed to be able to see everything! So what was it, huh? Did I pick the wrong camoflage? Was I moving too fast?!"

Or maybe it was just the total lack of reeds where she'd travelled.

That might be it, too.

As the worms rained down and Miroru shot out of the water like a cannon, Kazui would burst out chuckling at the young Uchiha’s reaction, but even that caused a bit of pain to the burns on her stomach she’d wince a little before standing up to her feet still laughing as Miroru asked if she were a joke.

"Pretty much. You really shouldn’t be spying on people or trying to sneak up on people.” The girl stated softly, standing over the pond water drenched child that was sprawled out onto the deck. "It’s rude.” Jokingly speaking of course. Kazui didn’t really care. Retrieving her fishing rod from the deck floor, the young teen would re-equip her rod before casting it back into the pond.

"Maybe one day when you graduate from the academy, I’ll entertain your childish competition but for now I think you should focus more of your time on your studies.” Kazui explained looking over her shoulder towards the red haired tween. It was odd seeing an Uchiha with such fiery red hair, the girl gave off the impression that she was an uzumaki and not much of an Uchiha at first glance. This didn’t bother Kazui much though she did find it quite peculiar.

"You’re not that good at this. Plus you kept getting closer to me. What else did you expect….and where did you find all of this stuff anyway?” She questioned softly.

"As if! That's exactly what I gotta be doing! How'm I gonna get good if I don't practice?" Miroru protested, frowning through closed eyes. She'd already reverted to full-on relaxation mode, sunning and drying off while she chattered with one of her most impressive cousins. "Pfft. Everything shinobi do is rude. Spy? Rude. Run you down and drag you back hogtied? Rude. Industrial sabotage? Rude. Assassinations? Rude. The only thing we do that isn't rude is *teach others how to be rude* and THAT'S rude by the transitory property!"

She meant transitive, of course.

"Wh-" Miroru rolled over, staring at her cousin with bright red eyes, squinted in frustration. "WHICH IS IT?! Am I sposedta practice, or not practice?! I can't do a real shadow clone yet, I can't do both at once, Zuzu," she muttered. It was so unfair! Kazui was out there being like. The clan's prodigal scion and she was stuck learning how to make crappy not-even-real clones.

"Hrmph. Of course I'm not that good yet. I just started. And how was I supposed to spring my ambush if I didn't get closer? How would YOU have done it, huh, smarty-pants?!" At the question, Miroru just smirked and laid back down, crooning, "Wouldn't you like to know~"

... it took about ten seconds for her desperate want for approval to win out. "... there's some reeds in a clump just around that little outcropping. The trees hide it so it's the perfect ambush preparation spot!"

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

Kazui watched her line as she swayed the fishing rod gently back and forth, typically she would be doing this all in peace but now she was having to listen to Miroru ramble on and on about how she needed to practice and that everything shinobi do is considered ‘rude.’ Despite the fact that it was a bit annoying, the raven haired teen couldn’t help but chuckle beneath her breath and shake her head.

"Your studies. You know…reading, studying the purpose of being a shinobi. Without that understanding, you’ll just end up wasting a good chunk of your time when you do decide to practice it in the field.” Kazui explained softly, watching the gentle movements of the pond as the wind picked up just a bit. However, as Miroru continued on and on, Kazui’s interest would only grow.

She sighed, placing her fishing rod down onto the deck, placing it under her foot as she turned around to face her fellow clan member. "And that’s why you study. Study doesn’t always refer to book studies, it can also apply to your surroundings, your personnel, and most importantly your target.” Kazui stated as she placed both of her hands on her hips. Naturally, the teen ignored the request of how she herself would go about it. She didn’t consider herself good enough to teach, so more often than not she left it alone…as well as Miroru’s sassiness.

Having lost interest in the explanation Kazui’s attention returned to the pond, and on the opposite end she could see a rather elderly man setting up for a nice day of fishing as well. He wore a wedding band on his left hand, he was well kept, tidy, and seemed to be very joyful to be out on the pond.

A gentle breath escaped her lips…

"Studying. You see that man over there? Tell me a few things about him that you may think are important.” Kazui asked.

Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Two tomoe grants the user the eye of hypnotism, while in turn increasing the previous abilities that the ‘Eye of Insight’ grants. She hasn't lost hide and seek once!" She puffed her cheeks out in frustration. "So I'm sorry if I bugged you, Zuzu, but I kinda gotta at least try to work harder'n everyone else. I don't wanna get left behind."

She got up on her knees and scooted over to where Kazui was, looking across the water now that her attention was directed thataway. "Hm. Well. He looks dressed nice. So I think he probably either has a good job or comes from a good family. I'm gonna guess job, cuz he looks awful happy to be here. Not just like contented, like he does this all the time, but like. Happy. Uhhh." She squinted. "He's either married, was married, or is wearing that ring on the wrong finger, cuz it's where a wedding ring goes. Ummmmmm. I'm gonna guess WAS married. I feel like as old as he is, if he was still married, she'd be out here with him, in the shade or something. Just a guess, though."

Regaining control of the fishing rod, Kazui would take mental notes of the things Miroru had told her about a few of her classmates, one sounded like an Akimichi and the other sounded much like a Utsuki, funnily enough the teen herself also had an Utsuki friend at one point in time, so Kazui understood completely. In the same sense she understood what it was like to have nothing, so she truly did feel the Miroru’s pain and frustration. The teen sighed before averting her eyes to different points of the pond, eventually stumbling across the elderly man and asked Miroru what she thought about him.

Her answers were very reasonable, and in fact Kazui was very proud of her for catching such minute details and exploring many of the options she could give as an answer. She’d nod her head slightly at the younger Uchiha, patting her gently on the shoulder before offering her piece.

"That was really good. However, I would say given his age, appearance, and the time of day, that he’s probably retired with a decent amount of savings to his name. He’s probably very sweet and gentle, and I think you’re correct about him being married previously, if I didn’t know any better I’d say his wife passed not too long ago and this was one of their favorite shared activities, which is why he finds so much joy in being on the pond. But that’s just a guess of course.”

After explaining this, Kazui would take a deep breath and would elaborate a bit further on why she asked. "You see, not everyone is the same, so certain things just don’t work against others. It’s important to know your target or at least have a profile created in your mind about them. Your friends sound cool I suppose, but they aren’t any better than you. And they don’t have the heart of the Uchiha, so that’s their loss.” The girl explained before sighing.

The pat on the shoulder had the diminutive redhead beaming up at her cousin. She really did thrive off praise, even little gestures and comments, and delighted in knowing she'd done a good job. It didn't even dampen her spirits to get Kazui's more knowledgeable take, tuning in and peering over at their "target" while she spoke of her own additionally nuanced observations. "Hm hm hm... that makes sense. I forgot you got to just stop working eventually. Good call, Kazui-chan!" She did somber slightly to think her guess about his wife passing was right. It sort of recolored the idea to hear it from someone else. "I'm glad he's having a good time. I think it might make me sad to do something I'd shared with someone so important for so long."

She focuses up as Kazui explains her thought processes, and nods as she learns about the importance of specific intel, how it's vital to gather every scrap you can to improve your chances of success. "Yeah! I'll totally have them all beat when it comes to heart. That's for sure!" The last bit made her frown slightly, but she nodded. "I know. I don't wanna skip the important stuff. I just- kinda wanna know where I fit, you know? Cuz it does feel like they're better'n me. Everyone else has something they're tops at."

The redhead glanced off across the water, chewing her lower lip. Considering her words. Then. Then she continued. "I don't," she admitted quietly. "I'm not really bad at anything. I come in second or third all the time. But like. When there's a mission that calls for a certain skill, it means I'll never be first pick. Not when there's always someone else around who can do it better. Who wants to hire or work with a shinobi that loses at everything?"
