[Tenka Yujukumono]

Classes had just let out, and Yuju found himself in the courtyard of the school,though it wasn't for devoting himself to class work after classes had ended. While Yuju wasn't quite the slacker that he often came off as, he definitely wasn't an especially studious student who went out of his way to learn and devour knowledge in his free time. No, instead more often than not, the boy simply went with the flow, trying his best when expected, and having fun when he was allowed to do so. So in the school courtyard, instead of honing his talents with the practice dummies and practice targets, the boy had scampered up a tree, laying in the large branch it offered, as rain fell around him.

It was one of his favorite past times, and gave him so many options. He could climb higher if he felt daring and wanted a nice view of the village, though he'd never get as high as the towers that littered the village. Or he could take a nap if he just wanted to relax. Or, he could do one of his favorite hobbies. People watch. It was always fun, watching the people who passed, imagining about their day, what they're thinking. And with some students still hanging around, his people watching could turn into people interacting, something even more fun.

The classes were, indeed, just out.

Most students quickly ran outside, and left for their homes, having little interest in sticking around in a place where they had to spend a good half of the day, every day, anyway! Only a few remained to practice on dummies, or with other duties. They were most zealous of students. Chiyo was among them. Though she didn't stay because she wanted to - she and a few others were chosen to take care of the school yard. And as such, she carried a tool that befitted that assignment - a broom with a long wooden handle. It clashed with her otherwise very formal attire - a purple kimono with a teal trim, and a black overskirt. 

The girl did not mind it too much. Though she did find the ordeal to be somewhat droll. She passed by the tree, where the people-watching boy was hiding, unaware of his presence. She did it several times too, making sure all the leaves were swept in a neat pile. Soon enough, the chore was finished, and the asphalt was all nice and clean from any sticks, litter, or leaves. Which left Chiyo alone and unoccupied for a little while. She looked left, then right, and grinned mischievously. Her hands sliding down the broomhandle, and lifting it up, as if it were a weapon of somekind. Lifting it above her head, she started practicing.

"Kya! Ninja~ Whoosh~" - the girl hummed to herself, swinging the broomhandle, and making steps with each swing. She moved towards the tree, with each strike, which repeated a kata she was taught, before. Soon enough, she maneuvered herself closer to the tree, while fighting off invisible foes. Bringing the handle above her head, she delivered the final 'dragon blow' against its trunk.

"HEAH!"

*THONK!*

It was a surprisingly powerful strike from such a short-statured girl! The entire tree shook, and the branch on which the boy sat, wobbled underneath! Hope he won't fall!

There à few shouts and yells, kids joking and talking, racing as they exited the building so it was looking like his people watching was turning into watching them run away. Which while it kinda defeated the purpose of people watching, though it wasn't like being able to nap in a tree wasn't it's own reward. But as he closed his eyes prepared to throw in the towel until the adults started leaving, he heard a noise that got to peek back at the courtyard. Which is where he saw the unlucky few, the chosen ones whose sacrifice was to be honored by every other kid in school. Because they had to stay late to clean everything up. Yuju looked at today's victims, happy he wasn't in their shoes, when one of them entered the area he was by.

Now this was exactly what he'd been hoping for, and the boys mind raced as he thought of ways to make this more fun. For him at least. He could shake the branch he was on, have some leaves fall to increase the girls workload. But that was kinda uninspired, he wanted something bigger. And so he watched the girl as she seeped for a bit. He knew her, kinda, he knew her by face at least. She was hard to miss, sticking out in their classroom with her white hair and constantly looking like she was getting ready for some fancy, formal occasion even when it wss just school. Chiyo, he was pretty sure her name was.

Buf it looked like there was more to the girl than fancy dresses and how she liked act overly proper, like she was an adult. For the girl would look around, and then start swinging the broom, and a mischievous grin of his own would form on the thick haired boy. Now this, this would be fun. He couldn't not let out a sound, covering his mouth with his hands when the girl actually said ninja in her practice swings. Thankfully he was pretty sure he'd muffled his minor outburst, and he knew exactly what he wss gonna do. Transform into Chikap-sensei. It would be great, the boy smiling as he imagined her look when he'd appear behind her. But as the boy did the signs, he watched Chiyo get closer, swinging all the while. And next everything would happen at once.

Transform...

It was a whisper, ghe black haired boy trying not to give away his position. But that wasn't to be as in the exact same time the white haired swordswomans strike struck true, hitting the tree with all her might. And as the smoke appeared, the boy would finding himself losing balance as the branch itself shook from the white-haired girl's might, falling right after transforming, smoke falling with him, and all threatening to land directly on the wannabe swordswoman.

"Hya! Hya! ... Huh? Gyah!"

Chiyo kept swinging against the tree trunk, until she heard some motions from above. Looking up, she saw smoke, and someone's rear falling straight on top of her! She did not managed to get away and would feel the full weight of a full-grown man collapsing on top of her! That full-grown man felt surprisingly light for someone his height, though. Still, it was more than enough to knock Chiyo off of her feet, and end up sitting on her back!

"Itaiii... G-get off of me you big buffoon!"

Not knowing, and not noticing who or what was on top of her, Chiyo wiggled furiously, still holding the broom in her hands. She angled the tip to poke at the back of 'Chikap's head, until he'd get off of her. Only once back on her feet, and dusted off of leaves, sticks, and other things found on the ground, would Chiyo look upon her offender. Who, to her surprise, would appear to be no one other than Chikap-sensei! The realization that she's been squished under, and that she had been poking her own teacher with a broom, to the head, made Chiyo very embarrassed, her face going red to the ears. This was her favorite teacher after all!

"Ch-Chikap-sensei?" - she said, looking away, her voice much more quiet than when she was her usual, fighty self. "What were you doing in that tree? I'm s-sorry I didn't notice you!"

Owww....What the hell... The boy had a softer than expected landing, though he was still trying to figure out just what'd happened, falling had happened so fast. He hadn't expected the girl to hit the tree like that, and as he opened his eyes with a groan, he'd see why his landing was softer than expected. He'd managed to land on the careless swordswoman herself, the girl just as shaken up from him falling from the tree as she groaned to herself before turning on the boy. He felt something poking the back of his head, as the white haired girl started slinging insults by calling him a buffoon. You're the one swinging a brrom into trees you- Yuju stopped himself, not because he was worried about insulting the girl, but because he realized something. As he looked at his hands he realized, he was still transformed.

The boy coughed, stopping himself, before getting up and off the cushion that'd broken his fall. Once the girl saw who'd fallen on her, her face turned a deep red that the boy couldn't help but smile amusedly at. It was pretty funny seeing her reaction, just like he'd hoped. But he cleared his throat, trying to hide the smile. I don't think that's an appropriate use of school supplies, do you Chiyo-Chan? He gave a warm, encouraging smile, the same smile Chikap-sensei could be seen giving during class when he taught, when he saw the future of Amegakure, the boy throwing his voice as best he could.

And then, that smile would slowly drop, turning into a disapproving frown. Disappointment filled his face, looking down at the white haired girl, who had refined her sword skills by fighting a tree. What would you have done if the broom had broken against the tree. I had a feeling you might get into some trouble. That's why I was watching you. Cause I knew I couldn't trust you Chiyo-Chan. And I have to say I'm very-

Poof

Smoke filled where the boy was standing, and replacing Chikap-sensei was the small boy with medium black hair. the boy who always had a mischievous smile in class. Yuju Tenka.

Disappointed...Oh ? The boy noticed the smoke around him. And he quickly realized what'd happened. Chikap-sensei had talked about transformation jutsu before, how tricky and chakra intensive it was, how it required constant upkeep. And the boy had let it drop it seemed.

Chiyo's face was getting red from embarrassment, as 'Chikap-sensei' started berating her.

She could almost feel tears get to her eyes. She had already done all the chores! She just wanted to have some fun! Not disappoint her favorite sensei in such a way! It was as if her entire world was now crashing down all around her! Maybe he was right, maybe it was an inappropriate use of equipment. Yeah! Discipline meant doing everything in their own time, and there was enough time for fun after the chores were done. Chiyo already started kicking herself mentally and wanted to mumble something about being sorry, when, suddenly, 'Chikap-sensei' disappeared in a poof, and in his place stood... a boy!

One Chiyo could very much recognize. Tenka Yujukumono. And this was his scam.

"Y-you're not Chikap-sensei..." - the girl muttered, as realization soon dawned on her. Any wetness near the eyes disappeared, as her confused and startled look was soon turning to ... angry. Her hands balled around the broom she was handling, and something akin to a scowl appeared on her face.

"You're not Chikap-sensei!!! You used a jutsu to trick me! How dare you?!" - she yelled, pointing her finger at the boy. Her face red now, though not from embarrassment, but from sheer anger she felt, making her blood rush.

Maybe he was taking a little far, the boy watching tears form in the wannabe-swordsman's eyes. But really, it was also kinda her fault at this point, Yuju had never seen Chikap-sensei get truely angry over something so small like playing during clean-up, especially when work was being done as was only natural from the industrious Chiyo. But it was also undeniable, it was also really funny watching this, the girl falling for the boys trick hook-line-and sinker. And right as it looked like she was going to straight up cry, the jutsu had dropped and he was exposed, and she did not take it well.

Yuju watched the tears turn to confusion, and for a moment Yuju thought that he might be able talk himself out of this. But then the confusion gave way to pure rage, and he realized the game was up, and there was only one thing left to do. He raised his hands in mock surrender after the girl rather aggressively pointed at him, a smile still on his face, though that might not be the wisest decision given the situation. OK. OK. You caught me. He hoped that the white haired girl would be able to take a joke, but the red on her face sticking out more and more and contrasting with the white of her hair, he had a feeling that might not be the case. Alright, I'm sorry, it was kinda mean I guess. But you have to admit, it was pretty funny.

The boys grin grew wider, hoping to get the girl laughing at herself and feel like she was in on the joke, though his apology was more one of him trying to save his own skin then true regret. While he couldn't really pretend that it hadn't been mean to pull such a prank on the girl, things had just lined up so perfectly, how couldn't he take the bait? But now, as he stood at her mercy, his only defense being that it had been funny and offering a half-apology, he was starting too see some of the flaws in his plan. So...Are we OK? For the first time in the entire convsersation, the boy showed some caution now, tentatively asking while trying not to sound pushy or casual. And that was because he was all too aware of the fact that the wannabe-swordswoman had never let go of the broom she had used to so easily knock him out of a tree.

"Funny?!"

Oh, one careless word was enough to sent Chiyo going over the edge. Maybe if the boy was being earnest about the apology, instead of doing it half-assed, her anger would have been quelled. But as of now, all it did was make it worse! The redness of her face went up to her ears, her feet instinctively taking a fighting stance. "I'll show you funny! When you won't be able to sit straight for a week! HEAH!"

With that, the girl went at the boy. She was very fast, he'd learn, as she'd use her broom to attempt to sweep the boy off of his feet and bring him down on the ground, before lifting the stick high above herself, and bring it down with awesome power! And if he did fall before, the aim of that blow would be... his arse! Whack, whack, whack! Again and again, a flurry of blows! If he remained standing, then it didn't matter much where the strikes landed, she'd keep hitting him with a stick till she was satisfied!

"Take this, and this, and this, and some of that too! PUNISHED FOR YOUR SINS!"

Uh oh... The boy sensed that he'd made a mistake, mostly because all of a sudden the white haired girl started screaming at him. It would seem that she didn't quite share the trickster boy's sense of humor. He was impressed by her ability to grow so red however, as the embarrassed hue turned darker from rage and spread across her entire face. I don't think that making that face is good for the ski- The now equally reddened boy had taken his eyes off the broom for only a moment. And the aspiring swordsgirl only needed a moment, the boy easily caught off guard by the rush and quickly and literally falling to the young girls attack, not even able to finish his attempt to deflect the situation before suddenly realizing he was mid-air. Ow! OWOWOW!!

The boy cried out from his crash landing, and even more so when the assault began, and the boy found himself receiving something that he hadn't in years, a spanking. His clan's elders had always pushed for a more physical approach in disciplining him, and they'd almost assuredly get great joy out of such a scene, but Yuju was definitely not having a good time at such an embarrassing scene. ALRIGHT! ALRIGHTALRIGHTALRIGHT!! Truce! He'd spin around, covering his face as his butt was no longer in the air and hopefully a less appealing target for the girl. I'm punished! I'm punished already! Besides I can help!!

If that was enough to get the divine wrath of the slighted warrior goddess to end, the boy would slowly peek to see if it's safe, the only thing redder than his face being his sore bottom. You're not just satisfied with a tree or beating me senseless right? Especially when I'm lying on the ground While he couldn't help but let out the emphasis on the fact she'd just beaten an unarmed and defenseless person, he did at least seem genuine with the beginnings of his offer. How about I help you practice? A mini-spar? That way we both get what we want, you get to hit things with your broom and I... The boys eyes darted to behind him, to his still sore rear, the implication clear. And he really hoped she accepted, he was pretty sure if she decided to continue his punishment he really wouldn't be able to sit for weeks.

"Hmpf!"

Chiyo was finished when she deemed she was finished. Fortunately, it did not take long for her to satisfy her anger. She was a quick fuse, but never stayed ignited for long. Eventually, the blows stopped, and she reached down, picking the boy by the collar of his shirt, pulling him back onto his feet. Then, she ran the broom over him a few times, to clean up the debris stuck to his clothes.

"Justice is dealt. I've no quarrel with you anymore." - the girl declared, before frowning. "But don't do that again." 

The girl turned away and was about to leave, when the boy called to her again and asked if the two could train together. She stopped, her eyes narrowing. This guy was a tricksy fellow! Deceiving her the way he did. And he did not have a sword or any kind of weapon on him either. Still... she looked over the shoulder.

"You're planning some kind of treachery, arencha?" - Chiyo said, perceptively. Still, it was hard to find a proper training partner these days, and wooden dummies could only fight back so much, so, after a consideration, she nodded. "Alright! It's a deal! But not here. Meet me at the training grounds after school, alright?"

Having received her reply, Chiyo would depart, and leave Yuji where he was.

Deep inside, she was excited though. A chance to fight someone proper! It would be good for training, and for establishing reputation. This fellow seemed like a prankster, through and through. Defeating him, now and later, in proper combat, would send a message to all other tricksters in the academy!

"Besides... he may prove to be a good fight..." 

Chiyo mused to herself. School day had ended, anyway, and she had to go home. On her way there, the girl passed through an empty alleyway, and used a stick to swish through the air, as if fighting against imaginary foes once more. This time, nobody would see her, or say something about how she trained. And besides...

It was just fun.

The girl was still a kid at heart. A kind of kid who'd be happy swinging at grass, for no apparent reason. This training of hers was a game as much as a serious exercise. But every swing she did turned into muscle memory. And who knows... maybe it would help her turn into a proper swordsperson, one day! Everyone had to start, somewhere. As for Yuji... maybe he'll be a friend. Or a stepping stone?

H-Hey, I said I give! What are you doing? He called out in uncertainty and what almost sounded like fear, not that the young boy would admit to such a thing. But instead of being pulled up to be punched in the face, he was assaulted with the broom once more, this time from the other end in an attempt to give him a good sweep over. There were a few mumbled sounds as the broom bristles covered his face, and as it proceeded to sweep over the rest of him he tried to swat it away. What are you doing? Cut it out! Why are you still hitting me, you shouldn't bully your kohai!! While the intentions might've been pure, he didn't seem to be in much of a sympathetic mood after being beaten by that very same broom.

And when she tried to pass off the beating as mere justice, he only got more worked up. Justice was supposed to be blind, and those strikes definitely weren't swung by a blind girl! And as per usual, the young boy didn't quite know how to keep his mouth shut even when it was probably smarter to do so. That wasn't justice, that was revenge! Granted, he didn't really understand the difference all that much, but he was pretty sure beating someone who was on the ground completely defenseless was an automatic disqualifier for being justice. And to only dig himself deeper in this new hole he'd made, he pulled down an eyelid while sticking out his tongue in response to her request, no, demand he not do that again. It seemed he wasn't respecting his senpais much either.

But when he turned around in a huff, expecting a flat refusal from his offer from before, instead he got something much more...interesting, as a response.

"You're planning some kind of treachery, arencha?"

He turned, a sly grin on his face now. He clearly liked that answer. Now what would give you that idea? From little ol'me? If it were anyone else, it might be believable. But it didn't matter, she'd say yes either way! And as she'd leave the boy would be smiling now, as he went to pick up his hat, with the exact same thoughts as the silver haired girl. Probably the first time they'd ever shared thoughts, the thought that this was developing into something quite interesting. [EXIT]
